I was hoping to commemorate several milestones with a timepiece purchase. Angela welcomed my wife and I and was happy to show us their extensive Omega selection. She was very knowledgable and patient as I tried on various options. Her father stopped by and was the one who would later size my new watch while Angela and I took care of the payment part. Overall it was a wonderful experience and a great reminder of what buying a special watch should be like: you're treated well, people know their stuff, you fall in love with a piece, and if it's on display, you can actually purchase and walk out with it if you like. We went on short notice, because we were eloping for a variety of reasons. They treated us like kings, were very gracious, and even went deep into their vault - which I found out not every customer gets to see - to look at their most exotic rings. I've never gone shopping for a wedding band or any jewelry before, and it was pretty fun. If you're looking for excellent customer service and a family owned local business, I recommend Smith and Bevill. (Check out their vintage rings. They're just as high quality just previously owned. They're the best part of the place)

I am a very picky person and was little skeptical when I entered the store. People always degrade the experience by the looks of someone who wants to buy a high end product. Tbh I wanted to buy a Rolex GMT master ii for my fiancé and had a very bitter, aweful experience in Ben bridge jewelers in Washington Square, OR . Nevertheless I called in the store for checking availability on Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Peofessional and the person who picked the call was very kind in answering the questions( I guess her name was Angelina). I was in person in about 30 mins after the call and Mr.Bill Bevill greeted us and gave a walkthrough of features and showed a couple of different models as well. Finally my fiancé was interested in speedmaster racing and we bought it immediately. We had a very smooth experience and excellent customer service! Highly recommend this place and the staff. What an incredible overall experience my wife and I had at Smith & Bevill in Beaverton, OR! I have had my eyes on purchasing an Omega watch for quite some time now, and eventually decided on a Speedmaster FOIS (First Omega In Space) model - not necessarily an easy watch to find. We decided to make some calls around to certified Omega retailers, but it only took one call to Smith & Bevill to know this is where we wanted to make our purchase. Angela was extremely helpful on the phone and through text messages, and we were able to schedule a private appointment the following weekend for 1 hour to meet and look at watches. She confirmed for us right away that the FOIS model was in the shop. When we got there, the setup was unique. Due to COVID-19, the majority of the store was closed to the public and they set up a comfortable section of storefront behind a large glass window with a few cases of jewelry and watches specially curated based on what we might be interested in looking at. Overall, the set up was great in that we were able to view exactly what we needed, discuss with Angela without any difficulty, and keep a safe social distance from each other to feel comfortable (no contact shopping). The Omega Speedmaster FOIS was front and center, and Angela displayed a few other options for me to look at also which was very nice (other Speedmasters, Seamasters, etc.). We talked about the watch for some time, and it was clear Angela was very knowledgeable about the watch (history, components, and care of the watch) and answered all my questions. I was able to try on the watch and it was a perfect fit. I did not feel pressured to buy or undervalued in any way (my wife and I are admittedly on the younger side - we look like babies haha) but everyone at Smith and Bevill was extremely professional and friendly. The purchasing process was so quick and efficient, and while Angela was getting everything set up her Father showed us some of his Speedy collection which was AMAZING. So much fun to see a watch connoisseur's collection and have him talk about the history of the watches. Overall, everything was so smooth and far exceeded my expectations. My wife and I will absolutely be returning in the future for any jewelry or Omega watch needs, and we would highly recommend Smith & Bevill Jewelers to anyone we know. I purchased a Karl Lagerfeld engagement ring for my fiancé pre covid at a different store. Neither my fiancé or myself knew at the time the rings would stop being sold at the store we bought her engagement ring at. After searching and searching it felt as if we’d never find her matching wedding band because so many stores had stop carrying this designers rings. We ended up stumbling upon Smith&Bevill Jewelers where I got the opportunity to talk with Angela over the phone. When I tell you she is a godsend. Angela went above and beyond my expectations. She was patient, answered my same questions over and over again without ever getting frustrated. She would accommodate my schedule and even sometimes answer questions in the evening. By the way did I mention we are out of state so the entire process was made over phone calls and text. We couldn’t have been anymore lucky to have Angela help us out. They have a customer for life.

I took my Omega watch to this place to be repaired, after another jeweler had severely damaged it during a simple battery replacement (they literally used a hammer on it). Not only was everyone I dealt with courteous and friendly, they also got my watch repaired and looking like new (yay!) within the time frame and budget promised. I don't know why I didn't think of these guys in the first place and instead opted for one of those mall jewelers, but I won't be making that mistake again. Smith and Bevill is one of those hard-to-find family-owned business that provides the kind of customer service some of us remember, but few of us are able to find anymore. I've definitely found my new jeweler. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stellar customer service. Initially came in with my girlfriend to look at a couple timepieces, Angela was very patient with us even though we flagrantly didn't notice the BIG SIGN IN THE WINDOW saying it was by appointment. Store is set up in a really creative and amazing way to help deal with the spread of Covid-19, and I'm just super impressed and pleased as hell that they care this much about not just our safety, but their own safety. Far too many businesses are brushing it off like it's no big deal, and it's refreshing to see someone not do this. I was quite obviously not someone of high end means, as I was looking at the cheapest Omegas in the catalog, essentially. Took absolutely every question I had to heart, was very involved in everything involving the brand and was able to answer everything, and didn't fall prey to the old timey "let's talk only to the man" BS I see at a lot of other luxury goods stores. My girlfriend received just as much attention as I did, and was made to feel just as welcome to ask questions, even though I was the one looking for a watch. By the following day I had set up an appointment, and the day after that I had my Seamaster, a watch I have pined after for 2 decades. Now, not only do I have a timepiece which will last the rest of my life, but I have a great story and experience to go with it. Now if only it showed my armor and health when I pressed the He release valve! Thank you so much to the folks at Smith & Bevill. Buying local is the way to go.

I first came to S&B to buy a Speedmaster, and keep coming because the staff is wonderful to talk to. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable of watches, and was able to answer all of my questions. The second time I stopped by, I needed a black pearl necklace in 2 days. They helped me choose the pearl, chain, and setting for the pearl. They geeked out with me on the different pearls they had in stock, which was very fun. I love when people obviously love what they do, and are passionate about sharing that with me. I was then shown the owner's private collection of timepieces, as well as their vintage inventory. Making my appointment over the phone was very pleasant, and they had next day availability. Great! I’ve been meaning to get my wedding bands resized for years. Morning of, I was running late. Shoot. I made a call and said I’m so sorry, running 15 minutes late. My maps say I’ll be there right at 11:45. No problem at all they say. There are 2 coming in for watch resizing and they’ll just prioritize those clients since their appointments began at the same time mine was supposed to. Great. Once I got to the door, I called them and let them know I’m here. They mentioned the fact that I’m late and that I’ll need to go to the back door in about 10 minutes. Alright, yes we knew I’d be late and you confirmed this still works. No need to say it again. I hang in my car for 10 minutes (no problems with this at all, it comes with the territory of being late) and find my way to the back of the building. Once I get to the door I realize I’m not going to be seen indoors. It’s so cold. I call the number again and she lets me know she’s coming. Opens the plexi glass slot and asks what size ring I need. Well I don’t know, that’s why I am here. She offers the sizer and I find that I need an 8. I’m feeling more and more uneasy that I’m not going to be invited in, and expected to just hand my valuables over with nothing signed, all based on “trust” I must have with strangers who have me at their back door. I hesitated handing my rings to her but she said her daughter needed to see them so she could give an estimate (it makes sense, but I’m outside, cold and feeling increasingly undervalued as a potential customer. Why can’t I sit inside? Others are inside.) so what’s the deal? Is it only because I was late that they needed to fit me in with backdoor treatment? Or is this how the high rollers are treated too? I wish this was communicated on the phone. “Sorry, we are not able to accommodate indoor appointments” or “yes we can still squeeze you in but we’ll have to see you in the back” give me some realistic expectations please. I would have brought a better jacket. After a minute I was met with a small dog under one arm, my rings in an acrylic tray on the other and the apologetic employee (who seemed nice but very overwhelmed) saying sorry we’re so busy today. It just didn’t matter at that point, whatever quote I was getting I was going to take my business elsewhere. Maybe you could read this and think hey Amy’s in the wrong for being late. And I totally see that. I should have been on time. Did that color the rest of it? I am not sure. No matter what, I don’t understand the backdoor service and lack of communication, which I made sure to offer on my part. So for that, I am moving on. 3 stars (instead of less) for excellent phone service yesterday and this morning. That sounded like the same person, and she was very sweet.
