I had such an amazing experience every time at this store. The first time I went to buy a proposal ring for my partner and I had no idea what to expect. Hunter was extremely helpful and after describing to him what I thought I was looking for, he brought out multiple options that I ended up really liking. After I proposed, we went back to get myself an engagement ring which I thought was going to be a difficult process because I had no idea what I liked. Melanie helped us and I'm so glad she did. She was extremely patient and encouraging about all options I brought up. I'm so in love with my engagement ring and I really didn't think I would find something I liked as much as this. I never liked the traditional diamond ring look so when she mentioned that I could get a colored sapphire I was pretty excited. Melanie was more concerned about me having the perfect ring than the price of what I was buying, which was really comforting. After I decided I liked the black sapphire she even poited out that it matched my partner's ring, which is something I hadn't even thought about but it just made it that much more of a perfect choice. The third time we returned to get a wedding band to match my engagement ring and Hunter helped us again. He is really knowledgeable and both times I worked with him, he was able to help me narrow it down to a few options that fit my descriptions. We both love the rings we ended up with and we are so thankful to Hunter and Melanie for making these experiences great ones.

I love my engagement ring from Shane co. I had been looking for a a wedding band for a long time. I had a very specific thought that I wanted to go with. I did not see that on Shane cos site and I could not find any that was in my price range or fit with my ring. I decided to go into the store and see what options I had. I really loved that the person that helped me was really their to help and not sell a ring that I would not be happy with. The person I worked with was willing to think outside the box and modify the ring to what I wanted. I am vary excited to wear this ring set forever!

Our entire experience here has been lovely. Dani was phenomenal and full of creative solutions when it came to creating the perfect engagement ring for me. Everyone was very kind and kept things fun and about finding the right ring, not trying to get us to spend more money. Shane Co seems to have broken the jewelry store mold in the best way. We came in with our ideal budget and some vauge ideas, and left 2 1/2 hours later with a one of a kind ring that was better than I could have imagined. Can't say enough good things about this place!

I went in to Shane Co today with my fiancé and was so surprised by how fancy the store is. You’re greeted with a reception team and provided a consultant. The staff was incredibly helpful. Dani was amazing! She had helped my fiancé pick out a ring and stone, and helped us look at alternates together. She was so knowledgeable and amazing at reading me and what I was looking for and excited about. She helped me look at all of my options and made me feel so well taken care of and made it such a special experience. Highly recommend!!

I cannot recommend Shane Co. more. We got my engagement ring here and it's absolutely worth the 45 minute drive to have my ring taken care of. They clean it and resize it and tighten the prongs for free and are always so kind. I will be buying all future jewelry here!!!

I want to start by thanking Melanie Shaw and the Shane Company. We have bought a 25th anniversary new wedding ring, a birthstone ring, and 1 carat ear rings from the Shane Company. We have found no one to have the selection and the impressive jewelry they have.
We had one of the two ½ carat diamond in my wife’s birthstone ring fall out. Melanie got right on it. The Shane Company had to search to find one that matched or two new ones that matched. They came up with two new ones, and they were more stunning than the originals.
My wife and I are so happy with the new birthstone ring.
Why would anyone buy jewelry from anyone else. We won’t.

Customer service is amazing! My engagement ring diamond had an internal chip/crack and they replaced it for free, no questions asked! The diamond they replaced it with was even more beautiful than the original diamond, and the process was very fast. They are great!

I have never received such awful customer service anywhere else. My fiancé and I decided to use a moissanite stone as a cheaper more ethical alternative to a diamond or sapphire. We're 22 and it seemed like the best option and I truly didn't care for having a diamond. We were met with so much judgement and were condescended MULTIPLE times. Overall I believe we've gone 6/7 times and only one time were we treated with respect and not extremely judged. On top of that they don't even give you a moment to ask questions and rush you out before you can say anything. Most times we've gone they do one thing and then run to hide behind the employee only doors. To make matters worse when I took my ring in to get sized the day after our engagement I was made aware that the tabletop on one side was completely scratched up. The ring had been worn for one day and had gone straight from the outside source we had bought it to ShaneCo to be put in my ring. After having it tested to make sure it was genuine Moissanite and not a softer fake that may have been able to get scratched in such a short time frame. We were sure that the only place it could have been scratched was ShaneCo. Its truly hard to feel like it wasn't intentional after the way we have been treated time and time again. They didn't do a pre-inspection of the stone before it was put in our ring like their protocol calls for. However since it's not a "ShaneCo" stone they cannot be held accountable for damaging anything. To make matters worse I was proposed to on July 26th by September 17th my band had cracked all the way through. I'm so disappointed in the service as well as the craftsman ship of my ring. I love my ring I have chosen but I wish I had gotten it honestly anywhere else. I will be taking my ring to a different jeweler to handle things from now on to avoid being treated this way again.
BTW my mother in law also got her ring from ShaneCo and after getting a new setting style they scratched and ruined her band and put her Diamond back in the wrong way TWICE along with the wrong color prongs.
UPDATE: I’ve changed my rating because of how well this situation was handled by Melissa. She reached out to us to find common ground and truly made us feel heard. Not only was she genuinely apologetic but made it a point to let us know that it will be handled in a beneficial way. I hope this will help anyone in the future who asks about alternative stones for their engagement ring. It’s important to me that people are not misinformed about such things and Melissa made sure it will be taken up with their team.

I'd been wanting to go see their selection for about a Year since I started going to Portland for business trips & Shane's was close. My boyfriend & I decided to go in ONLY so he could get IDEAS on what styles I like for engagement/wedding rings & just to see what my style is. We were immediately met by a sales associate who told us anyone could help us, that they aren't paid by commission, so there's no pressure.... but there definitely was. We both we made it pretty clear why we were there & we didn't want to get into details like the stone, etc, but she didn't seem to want to hear that and pushed [I can't remember the exact words] their Process. At one point my bf said something was more than he wanted to pay & she turned to ME & continued to try & sell Me on it (I didn't even like it). At that point there was no Way we were going to buy Anything there; not then, not ever. They had a decent selection of jewelry too, so it's too bad.

I bought my wife an upgraded wedding ring on our 25th Anniversary. She was working in food services at one of the high schools when she noticed the diamond had fallen out of the setting. Shane company guarantees the setting and stone, as long as you have it checked every 6 months. As she had faithfully done this, Shane said they would replace the diamond. It had been several years since we had purchased the ring so we decided to upgrade. Shane Company credited the full value of the previous ring toward our upgrade.
The staff are professionals. We always feel welcomed when we stop by to have her ring and earrings checked and cleaned. Super company that takes the time to make sure the client knows what they are buying. We spent several hours picking out the new stone and setting. They answered all my questions.

I worked with Dani, she has been incredible throughout my whole indecisive process of finding a new wedding set. I ended up having to return rings that didn't work for my hand and lifestyle. I found the 60 day return policy so helpful. Not once did anyone make me feel bad or pressure me into keeping a ring that I didn't absolutely love. In fact, Dani has been so kind and caring about being sure I get everything I want and is continually working with me until I find my perfect set. Dani has responded to emails and questions in amazing time. Dani has truly made me feel seen and heard with my wishes, never making me feel like I'm wasting her time.

Overall a great experience getting my fiances engagement ring. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star review is because the 1st time I went here to pick up my ring I was greeted at the door by an extremely rude woman who made me feel unwelcome. I had to come here directly after work so I wasn't looking my best and felt like that was the reason why I was treated so rudely. Past that one experience everyone I worked with treated me kindly and was extremely helpful. I got the exact ring I wanted at a very reasonable price.

Excellent customer service- went there a few months ago shopping for engagement rings more of a "what if" and to learn her style. Since they kept her file they knew what she wanted. Went in Dec. 23 and purchased ring- even though they were busy they also out a rush on diamond set and was able to pick up on Christmas Eve. She said YES!

We have been 10 different places before we came to Shano Co. I am talking about Tiffanys and other name brands. We never received the same level of customer service and goodwill towards the customer. Each jeweller was eager to sell it right away without spending the appropriate amount of time educating the customer about such a huge investment.
Shane co made us comfortable with our investment without forcing us to make the investment. We ended up getting Shane classic diamonds and we are super happy with our investment. I would recommend everyone to atleast go to Shane Co to get educated about the diamond buying process because no other jeweller would provide the same level of education.

I love Shane Company. Well, I did when I was married! This company lets you upgrade your diamond centerstone with NO minimum price point (ie spend $1 more on a new diamond and it gets mounted and ready to go for that $1 spent!). For 12 years I've been a customer and I was fortunate to have my husband upgrade my center diamond multiple times over our 12 years. Of course my center diamond did crack twice (which they explained away to me, but I still don't quite understand my bad luck there, since don't they say that a diamond is forever??). They do free rhodium dipping services and cleanings every 6 months which saves you a ton of money over the lifetime of your ownership and resizing is always free which also can save a lot to the average buyer.
As the adage goes: the third time's the charm, well it seems to me the third time was more like a strike three- you're out! My third cracked diamond and shortly thereafter my husband went AWOL/or midlife crisis (whatever) and now we're over. I sold my 1.5 total weight diamond set in the middle part of this year and several months later my soon to be ex husband presented me with another diamond solitaire he purchased at Shane Co to replace my wedding band. I'll have to say, it looks nowhere near the size it stated itself to be at .48ct, but then again I was used to a larger one... They offer a 60 day return period, so back this one goes sadly. Super sadly. To surmise, if you are superstitious and believe in signs from the universe, etc....I probably would buy elsewhere! If not, definitely buy from Shane Co. bc otherwise, they can't be beat!

I wanted to customize my grandmas ring into something very modern and minimalist. I was worried about finding a jeweler that I felt comfortable handing her diamond to. Out of all the other jewelers I had been to no one could answer my questions about customizations. Not only was Amanda at Shane company super knowledgeable and informative but I was able to speak with the jeweler who worked in the building. All of my questions were answered immediately and they gave me the exact ring I was looking for. It’s soooooo beautiful and the process was crazy easy. Absolutely above and beyond customer service and care. Through a crazy accident, our original engagement ring stone was shattered during a cleaning only a month before our wedding, but Shane Co stepped up more than we could have imagined to make sure we were not left without a ring. They replaced our stone free of charge with a specially found, slightly larger version and rushed it through customs. Everyone came together and made us feel very well cared for despite the scary situation! They even let us keep the broken stone and we bought a pendant to turn it into a necklace since it is still really sentimentally valuable for us. So excited to be customers for life.

My husband and I purchased our wedding bands and I had my diamond set in a band at Shane Co. They have friendly and helpful staff that are more than willing to help you find exactly what you're looking for, whether you are here alone shopping for someone else or are with your significant other. We've had two staff members on two separate occasions offer to go in the back and look for rings that we may like since we weren't quite sure based on the selection in the display cases; both times they brought back rings that were surprisingly accurate to our tastes! After our wedding, I brought my engagement ring and wedding band here to get fused together; their service was relatively quick (only a week or so) and my rings were returned to me sparkly and just how I wanted them.
I took off one star because often the wait for an open staff person to help us was a little long - granted it was a busy time of day at the store. Also, their men's rings in store selection is greatly lacking. My husband had to look at their online selection from home to get a better idea of what he liked before we went in store to get his ring size and look again at their in-store rings.
Overall, I am pleased with the quality of product and service we have had at this company. We have yet to explore their other jewelry selection beyond wedding bands; they offer earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. with diamonds or other gems.

I have been here many times and their customer service is second to none. Bought my now fiancé a bracelet for Christmas (this one broke 3 times and when the repairs didn’t work they gave us a brand new one). I purchased my engagement ring here and I’m glad I did. When I went to pick it up, it was unfortunately not the right size that I ordered over the phone. I was crunched for time as I was needing to get the ring that day to make a flight. If I could give this a million stars I would! My (now) HUSBAND (😬😍🥹) and I came in to Shane Co. on Sunday. A little back story- we decided a few weeks ago we were going to get married on our 10 year anniversary which landed on this past Monday. We went into the Shane Co. the day before not knowing a thing about diamonds or jewelry or anything! It always felt like such an overwhelming and scary process so honestly we just put it on the back burner. And oh my gosh. I wish we would’ve came in here a long time ago! Everything was nothing short of absolutely amazing here!! Hunter and John (and every single employee we interacted with the second we stepped foot in the door) were like no other! They educated us, never rushed us, never pressured or forced us into anything, showed us countless options happily and were so patient and kind with us. When you’re spending thousands of dollars you want to few confident and sure about what you are getting and that’s exactly how we left feeling. Every time we came across a possible hiccup Hunter, John, Chris, etc made it all work out for our special day. I feel overwhelmed with love from these people who don’t even know us but they genuinely cared about us as individuals, us as a couple, our love and our story, and most importantly making our special day BEYOND SPECIAL. It was the greatest day of our lives and we are so blessed and grateful to have had Shane Co. apart of all of it with us! 12/10 would recommend and will definitely be back! I’ve always had a great experience but today they made the experience so awkward. I traded in my old wedding set with my fiancé. With the trade in, they said they had to link my ex husbands account with my fiancés account. They reassured me multiple times my ex would not be contacted and they would change the contact information to my fiancés as well. Apparently they did not and called my ex husband to let him know my ring was ready 🤦🏼♀️

If you already purchased a ring from Shane Co. you know it's a nice establishment. What you may not know is that they offer a complimentary ring cleaning and polish service for life with every purchase.
I called to arrange for a cleaning but was told over the phone to simply arrive in person and the cleaning typically takes 20 minutes. When I arrived in-person I was initially told it'd be a week wait. Naturally I was frustrated, fortunately the customer service representative assisted by getting my ring expedited. I had the clean and polished ring back in 20min, thank you Shane Co.

I always wanted something representing Myself with my 4 children - I didn't want the traditional birthstone theme either, so after hearing on the Radio the ads for ShanCo and the fact that they can help you custom anything - I thought I'd give them a try.
I scheduled a virtual meeting and considering all of our talking was done via Zoom while the rep was in another state - it was well worth it.
I picked it up yesterday and OMG - so BEAUTIFUL!!
It was so sentimental, and my whole family LOVED it - even my Kids, Size was perfect fit, White Gold and cant get enough of the brilliant shine this Ice-Blue Sapphire had.. just GORGEOUS and my 4 stones representing my kids - LOVELY! Custom made just for me and engraved inside of my 4 childrens name for a special touch.

Our experience was so good that we spent an additonal $10K. We had went to another Jewelry and weren't in love when we got home. My wife did some research and I said "Well, I'm going to Beaverton Motorcycles tomorrow, let's go see if we can ask them some questions, they are next door." @teresabliving We scheduled an appointment here to start our engagement ring journey and had an excellent experience. I will say at 6pm when we arrived they had several walk ins and were busy. Luckily we had an appointment. They don't really allow much browsing during covid but I was able to say what I was looking for and our consultant brought it over. I also was considering using some family stones in addition to a new center stone, they placed some loose stones in a setting and helped me realize it wouldn't quite work. I was then able to reroute our whole a appointment to finding a completely different setting. It was a wonderful experience I believe our consultant was named Amanda and she was very helpful. We spent about 70 minutes and I did find a band that I liked. We will be looking at other options as well as we're in no hurry but we were glad to have a good and helpful experience here.

I was shopping for a blue-green sapphire and the sales staff were always very patient and ordered in every option I requested over the course of a few months until I found the shape and color (tricky one sapphires) that I was happy with. My "COVID 20 weight gain" has been more like "COVID 50" due to a back injury that halted my workouts. I've needed to get my engagement ring resized for some time but was hesitant because of COVID. We decided to go in and we made an appointment. As always, they did not disappoint. They had taken extra precautions, (like appointments to limit the number of people in the store and temp checks) and the customer service was outstanding, as I knew it would be.
As part of their loyalty program to customers, they inspected and cleaned all of my Shane Co jewelry while we were there also. Within a few days, my ring was delivered to my door, signed for, and was happily resting back on my fat little finger, at no additional cost. :-)

I stopped at Shane today to get my ring cleaned. I have to say that I am biased and have been shopping at Shane for three decades. Just about every piece of jewelry of real value I own has been purchased here. Why. The value... Simply, thier jewelry is finely crafted and the warranty is solid. The service at Shane is exemplary. With many available associates to help customers, I have never waited past the initial eye gazing case browsing of their jewelry selection.
That being said, my free ring cleaning, polish, and inspection done. Ring gleaming.

I've been in this establishment more than a handful of times when it comes to shopping for the perfect engagement & wedding ring. Some of the staff there have proven themselves to be unprofessional, pushy, or inadequately trained on the foundation of customer service.
While on the other hand, there are staff here who remember me previously and created a persona of welcome. I purchased my fiance's engagement ring here about two years ago. The negative experiences outweighed the positive though - and the wedding bands were happily purchased at another jeweler.

Incredible experience! My boyfriend and I went in to look at engagement rings to give him an idea of what I liked. The man who helped us was very knowledgable, giving us all the details about diamonds and how to choose the right one for us. He was very patient with us and never tried to rush us or pressure us into buying anything, and when he did show us things he made sure to stay within our price range. The only downside here is that they are insanely busy on the weekends, but they seem to try to have enough staff. If you get someone to help you, don't let them walk away and get distracted with other customers because you'll wait for a while for them to get back to you.
We have had several good experiences here. My Husband bought me a Christmas gift, but returned it after I had mentioned I was interested in a different jewelry piece. He exchanged easily at Shane Co and got me what I wanted. The pieces are beautiful and I love that if anything happens to them, Shane Co warranties their products. The pieces are dainty so I know if they do break, I can get them fixed. I also had a ring sized here, that I bought from a different jeweler. It was a bit pricey at $80 to size it down, but it was done in two days, and didn't leave their building, which I loved.

The process of finding the perfect engagement ring for the love of your life can be nerve-wracking. Luckily, as the Shane Co. commercials have said for many years, "you have a friend in the jewelry business" which was exactly what I found in Melisa Ellena!
Equipped with only a link of a ring that my girlfriend, now fiancé, had wanted, Melisa and I communicated only via email for nearly a month to find that perfect engagement ring. This was extremely helpful as it worked with my schedule and made me feel more comfortable with the global pandemic still happening.
Throughout the process, Melisa emailed me photos of several different settings and diamond options to make sure I considered everything. Once we had narrowed down the options, she had paired the diamond cut on top of the setting to ensure I saw what it looked like in the comfort of my own home - now that is premium customer service and something I did not ask for! Her experience and knowledge were extremely helpful as she highly recommended having the diamond sit as low as possible since my fiancé mainly wears sweaters and the prongs can get caught on it.
While all of this was impressive, what really stood out to me and is the sole reason I would recommend Melisa Ellena from the Tigard, Oregon Shane Co. location is she continues her personalized customer service well after the sale. I came in with my fiancé a few days after picking up the engagement to get it resized and Melisa came over to say hi and introduce herself to my fiancé. This is the definition of a friend that you can trust.

I have searched far and wide for a jewelry store that I trust and a jeweler that I felt had my best interest in mind. Shane Co. in Tigard is hands down your best choice when looking for an engagement ring or any jewelry for that matter. They have the most knowledgeable employees, best engagement ring setting selection, and great atmosphere.
There ring selection is incomparable to any other store. They have anything from couture to simple designs for their rings and all at affordable prices.
Their employees are not commissioned based, which immediately takes away that "predator" and "prey" feeling you get at many other stores. John, the Operations Manager, is your go to guy. He does an amazing job at making you feel comfortable and knowledgeable about your purchase. He is incredibly honest and will tell you his professional opinion instead of what you want to hear. Something that is essential when spending large sums of money. He also wants what will make you the happiest, not what makes the company more money. THIS IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANYWHERE ELSE.
I went through so many different stores ( 10 or 12) when I first started looking for my perfect engagement ring and I was shocked to find that almost all jewelry stores did not have a good selection or feeling to them. Shane Co. will save you a lot of time, frustration, and money while still providing you top of the line jewelry.

So about two weeks ago I was doing dishes not knowing my ring had fallen into the garbage disposal. I was so mad at myself and sad at the same time. I was worried it couldn't be fixed, but we took it to Shane Co and they were able to fix it and it in a total of five day. It's looks brand new. Positive start: everything is beautiful and real. Pricey but gorgeous. Definitely pieces that are an investment but worth it. Not so positive: I have been to plenty of jewelry stores. They're sales-people. Its their job to get you to buy something. Shane Co advertises their people don't get paid on commission, however, including all the big chain jewelers, I have NEVER felt as pressure by a jewelry salesmen in my life than I did at Shane Co. My husband and I went to look for an anniversary gift. He wanted to know what I had my eye on and what my taste was (husband's rarely figure those things out on their own). The staff informed us that any piece we select might not be their when he comes back (he wanted to surprise me and come back on his own). We told them it was fine as long as he knew the style I liked best. We were very interested and were for sure coming back. They wrote down style names, numbers, etc of the pieces I liked. But we felt increasingly pressured and even mocked and judged for my husband's decision to keep it special and a surprise for me. Very upset as we had such high hopes for a different experience. It was our first time at Shane Co. Will most likely not be going back.

Good help, good displays, greeted right away, good selection, only 14k gold settings not quite a fan, they push the warranty very hard and used it as a reason to buy their settings and stones. This keeps everything in house and coming back. Sales experience and knowledge varied from poor to very good. With the most knowledgeable employee being quite pushy about completing a sale that day. Even saying "Why would you look anywhere else?" and "Why would you not buy such a beautiful diamond today?" I understand the need to close up a deal but in the end, we stated the type of buyers we were clearly and concisely and our time frame (2 weeks max) though we ended up closing a deal later that day on a stone. We were looking for just a stone, and we would like to create our own setting. We had looked at probably 50+ stones from every name and even had a stone flown in from California to check out.
With that criteria, she seemed to take the magic away from the diamond, By hastily selling financing options, warranty though fear mongering that rings break and you need it, time crunch close (the stone could get sold), why won't you do this today, the color is amazing (she wasn't wrong) it was an E color. She needed to give us a chance to evaluate the stone, go over any certs, let the product do a little selling on its own. Overall for being a non commission jeweler the pressure was higher and would be appropriate for an uneducated buyer.
In conclusion here is my 2 cents. If anyone comes in and is looking to buy a loose stone. Quickly qualify them for the 4C and budget. But don't get pushy with them, they are asking about buying a loose stone...there likely was some level of research went into the process and they should know what they are looking for. To top it off, if someone has looked at a ton of stones over a few weeks. They likely know what they are looking for and won't be a good candidate to try for the fast close. The stone they are looking for will close itself.
Edit: To add to it all, when asking for a stone, the first salesman when asked for a stone of a higher color grade than the J we were looking at proceeded to bring out a K color and say the color was better. He wasn't trying to be dishonest. He just didn't know. Which when your selling diamonds... you should probaly know the 4Cs and not mess up. No other jeweler or diamond broker managed to mess up in this regards.
In conclusion for anyone looking to buy, do some research into what your getting your spending likely more than $3000 and just like you would research a new car; get to know your diamonds. They don't have bad products here, but there are other places willing to work better deals on higher quality stones in the industry and provide a no pressure sales environment.

Had an awesome experience buying my first piece of legit jewelry (around 4k engagement ring). Exel empowered us with knowledge of different stones and was very patient when showing us multiple examples of similar items. He really made it enjoyable by giving us different suggestions, but we felt no pressure from him. In the end we asked for his own opinion, which happened to be a lesser expensive option, but we decided to go with our first choice. There is almost always someone available to help as soon as you walk in the door. We also didn't feel any pressure to buy from any of the sales people. There was one instance where we came in a bit early to look for wedding bands (about 6 months before the wedding) the consultant helped us look around a bit and nicely informed us that it would be better to come back a little closer to the wedding because the styles they have available change so frequently. We are so happy with how all of the rings turned out, and it's so nice to know we can just stop in if we ever want to get them cleaned or if have any problems. Couldn't ask for more!

Went to the Shane Company to have my wedding band fixed and resized due to dumb me having to cut it off. Allison in customer service took such great care of my husband and I when we came in. I had Jared, he was fast, friendly, and super informative. I needed the crown of my ring tightened, the stone was coming loose. He cleaned and examined it before taking it back and having it fixed. All in all, not even an hour between coming in and walking out. Their COVID policies are also smooth functioning and safely implemented. Temperature checks at the door and masks if you need them. Spacing dots everywhere. Very nice.

Everytime I come here we get treated like bosses. Everyone is kind and courteous no matter your budget, and their COVID practices are great, not to isolating and not to lax. I picked out 2 rings to give the clerk an idea of my goals and she came back with a handful of styles that fit my tatse.

Everything from Shane comes with a warranty. I was skeptical until my fiance broke something and we actually had to use that warranty and lemme tell you, I will keep coming back. They either fix or replace your stuff and it's a lifetime warranty, so I never have to worry about whether this jewelry investment will be a bad decision. It's a great decision. Get her flowers and cheesecake factory on the way home.

I have bought several rings and loose stones at this store and have returned several times to have them cleaned and I have never had a bad experience. Sales people are attentive, informative and friendly. The store keeps a big selection of loose stones in stock and will spend as much time as necessary educating the customer on stone quality and characteristics. There are no pushy salespeople here.
I think their lifetime warranty and cleaning/maintenance services are both generous and efficient. Most recently, I brought a ring in to be adjusted, since the stone kept coming loose. The jeweler found a large chip on the side of the stone, which they bought back at it's full appraised value so that I could purchase a new stone to replace it.
My only complaint is that there can be a wait to see a salesperson when the store is particularly busy.

Great customer service. I wouldn't shop for jewelry anywhere else. 3 stars because their sign says masks aren't required if you are vaccinated. However, that only applies if you have medical records with you to prove it. It is illegal for anyone to ask you to present medical records for any reason in compliance with HIPAA. Do not give it to them. It is private patient information. Please educate your staff that this is an illegal request.

I had a wonderful experience. The salesman had a lot of patience with me and took his time. However, I would have liked a little faster service. He was looking after two customers simultaneously and I was slightly annoyed. Apart from this shopping here was an absolute delight. Loved the attitude of the staff and the approach towards customers. For a foreigner like me I would have loved to see a little more ready made pieces which I could buy. We were helped by Sean, and he was more helpful than any other sales person I've ever worked with before in my life. He asked all of the right questions, and took as much time as was needed with every single part of the process. He showed us multiple settings to help narrow down the search, and educated both of us on the diamonds themselves so we felt very confident in making a future purchase. It was incredible that something that would normally be a nerve-wracking ordeal was so such an enjoyable experience.

A lovely employee named Morgan helped us find a ring I fell in love with. After having overwhelming and intimidating experiences in other jewelry stores, our Shane Co experience was so refreshing. I came in looking for a black sapphire center stone. Morgan never tried to convince me to go for a more expensive diamond, in fact, though I thought I wanted a 7mm stone, she realized she had another stone available that was equally lovely but a hair less opaque. The second (9mm) stone was just as lovely and cost us LESS than the 7mm one. We got more than we could have expected. When I went back to pick up my ring after sizing, I saw Morgan was there and available, so I went to say hi and thank her again. She was so genuinely excited for me getting my ring she came around the counter to hug me. Customer service at its best.

My experiences with Shane Co. have been somewhat of a mixed bag. After a very unfortunate mishap losing my wedding ring less than a year after purchasing it, I returned to buy the same ring to replace it. I understand that they aren't just going to replace it- they can't lose money on my misfortune...however, I feel that it would be appropriate for them to discount the ring to earn my business. I don't have to go back to buy the ring from them. I can now find another ring- but out of sentiment, I drove all the way across town to get the same one. The sales manager who was the only one qualified to discuss my request simply replied with "we just don't discount here, it's not what Shane Co. does." I guess they have their margins so calculated that they can't even show appreciation to a return customer who has spent several thousands of dollars with them by offering them a small discount. I take this as making money on someone else's misfortune. This company needs to learn when to scale back their policy a bit to meet customer needs. Quite frankly, their diamonds are the best quality out there and their prices are competitive - but I wasn't looking for a diamond today. The experience I had with their sales manager was not the best, however in the past, I have been generally treated quite well. I have 15 years experience being a sales manager day in and day out at a small retail outfit where every customer truly counts. Every time I come to Shane Co. (usually Sundays) it is bustling. It's easy to feel like you're not special because the customers are abundant. Generally speaking, they've treated me quite well. I just wish they wouldn't be so stiff about pricing for a situation as unique as losing a wedding band. Obviously someone is already down in the dumps, it would simply be nice to know that someone has your back. If they did, I'd up my rating.

If you buy from Shane co and always go back to Shane co you're good. Don't take anything there that wasn't purchased there and try to trade in. Wanted to upgrade my wife's wedding ring. Had bought the ring from a custom jewelry store, wanted to take her 3/4 up to 1-1/4 and purchase a new band. Was looking at a $6k purchase, offered me pennies, couldn't believe it. I started my shopping experience about 8 months ago. I was getting engaged soon and wanted to give my guy an idea of what I liked. As soon and I walked in, I was greeted by Excel and shown to the cases that housed the style I was looking for. I found a few I loved and was given hint hint card to pass on to my spouse which is an amazing idea that is not so subtle.
Fast forward a few months, my spouse takes me in to get a band for my birthday, this turns into me picking out my dream ring and putting it on layaway. Excel is still amazing, pulls out basically every rose gold ring they had to make sure I was 100% happy. We then spend at least an hour looking at white sapphires in every shade of white they have. Not once feeling an ounce of pressure from anyone, except me :)
Last night was the night, it was finally time to pick up my ring. We had called Friday and made the last payment, I was instructed to pick it up Monday after 3pm. I was so excited I could hardly handle it. I get to Shane Co. to only find out that it was not ready. It was actually still in the drawer in the envelope. I was disappointed to say the least but can understand mistakes happen especially in the retail world.
Then to my surprise, the manager (I forgot her name) comes over and saves the day. Doesn't ask any questions, just takes my ring over to the shop and asks if they can have it ready by 7pm. The fact that they went out of their way to satisfy a customer is amazing. I picked up my ring and it is nothing short of perfect.
On the way out, I saw Excel and he was just as excited to see it as I was. Thank you everyone at Shane Co for allowing your customers to window shop as much as they want without ever batting an eye. Thank you for always making me feel welcome, thank you Excel for working with my fiance and I, and thank you Shane Co. for making things right without any questions. You're doing things right!

The reason this place is the first and only place you'll ever need to go is because of their massive selection, their people who are knowledgeable in the jewelry business and they aren't paid commission. They have all "tune ups" for your jewelry bought from here for free. Take it to any Shane Co and it's as easy as that! I have to give a big shout out to William Rydell, the associate that guided me to finding the right ring, who's a man of phenomenal personality & gave direction to what piece really made me happy. Also, they usually have a two day turn around time for sizing but because I'm only here in town for a day, they took two hours. Very accommodating people here. I am very happy with my experience with Will and Shane co, which is important considering that it's an event in itself, buying a ring that you are going to propose to your special person. Update: the response to my previous review was as breath taking as the ring I gave my now-fiance. I received an almost immediate response from the social media community coordinator, Brianna, after posting my previous review. She followed up with me to ensure I got into contact with the appropriate people at the Tigard Shane Co. I really appreciated the fact that she ensured that the store manager, Brittany, and operations manager, Melissa, contacted me.
Both Melissa and Brittany went above and beyond to ensure I got the ring I wanted. Not only did they maintain great communication with me through phone calls and e-mail, they were incredibly considerate when they called me to ensure that my fiance wouldn't find out about this ring. They took into consideration the details of what I wanted to special order and looked into their current inventory to find a setting that was similar. This was very much appreciated as I wanted to propose in August. I was set on having a ring with ice blue sapphires and Melissa got very creative to make it happen. She ordered a few pairs of earrings with ice blue sapphires, as these would be already matched and could be placed into the setting she offered me. She personally chose the sapphires that most closely matched the UCLA blue I was searching for; she then allowed me to choose from those sapphires. Although the diamond I previously placed a down payment on was sold, Melissa went out of her way to personally choose three diamonds that were similar but exceeded the rarity of the first diamond. It was decided I should choose the diamond in person.
When I arrived at the store, I appreciated that Brittany took the time to personally show me the three diamonds Melissa selected. She was incredibly patient as I took my time to choose what I thought was the best diamond for the ring. I ended up getting the ring I envisioned and now my fiance cannot stop getting compliments. Although my initial experience was rough, the response from everyone I worked with at Shane Co. was spectacular. Thank you all so much for making this happen! 5/5 would recommend!

Unbelievable... not in a good way, but in the worst way possible. I came to Shane Co in order to look through their large selection of rings. Although they had a large collection, they did not have what I had in mind. Instead I tried to special order a ring for my soon-to-be fiance. There was a very simple, yet elegant, three stone platinum ring that called my attention that was paired with two blue sapphires. What I had in mind was a yellow gold ring, with two light ice sapphires and a center diamond - the three colors of our alma mater and where we met. I selected a diamond, put a down payment on it and was told by the sales associate that I should hear back in a week or two on whether this ring can be made. That was the 27th of May. I called back on the 9th and 16th of June and was told that they are still waiting to hear back from their producer on whether they can make this ring for me. I called back today to cancel the order and was told that on the 31st of May they were informed that they could not make this ring. They knew for well over three weeks that this ring was not possible and they never informed me! I could have had it ordered elsewhere and already have it ready for the proposal. Again, the only word I can think of is unbelievable for how badly they screwed this up! So much for having a friend in the jewelry business...

My husband and I are SO happy we went with Shane Co. Not only was our shopping experience great and un-pressured, but the night before our wedding, just before our rehearsal, I looked down at my hand, and my engagement ring had somehow BENT. The diamond was at almost a 45 degree angle, and the band was warped. I called Shane Co, and they told me to bring it in as soon as I can (it was just a couple hours before closing). We sent it with a friend, who came back a couple hours later, with the ring perfectly fixed, in a new box, tied up with a bow just like before. They completely saved us! Don't know what we would have done without that warranty & their customer service!

Staff was very friendly, showed us a wide variety of wedding bands, and we were able to land on two that my fiancee and I liked. However, the prices we were quoted seemed much too high based on the research we had done online prior to coming in. For instance, I was quoted nearly $2500 for a simple 7mm platinum wedding band. We ended up going to the shopping center across the street and found/purchased similar bands that we liked even better for less than half the price at Helzberg and Blue Nile, including equivalent warrantees to the one we had been offered. My advice to everyone is to do your research online ahead of time so that you know what to expect, then shop around at multiple stores until you feel confident that you've found the best deal. You should certainly consider visiting this store, since the experience was friendly and positive, but make sure you think critically before committing to making any major purchase, especially one that carries so much emotion.

All the hype I was a bit disappointed with my visit. I had hoped to reset and Emerald ring I inherited and they dont carry or touch emeralds. They wouldn't even consider sizing the existing ring so I could maybe wear it occasionally. I did have another diamond ring reset. My name is Aaron Powell and recently my wife and I bought an engagement ring from your store in Tigard, Oregon. We had been shopping for a while to find just the right piece for her. She wanted an unique piece that would be distinctly different from her sisters and peers at work. She also wanted sapphires on her band because she loves them so much. Jason Marshall was our sales person and he helped us tremendously. He answered every question, no matter how simple or hard like it was important that he inform us. Not once did he get pushy or angry. He was endlessly patient and full of knowledge. Dorothy (my wife) eventually found both a band and diamond that she fell in love with. We bought both and she hasn’t stopped talking about it. Her friends at work all tell her how pretty and unique the ring is. We are both very happy with the ring. But that isn’t the reason I am writing you today.
About thirty days after we bought the ring, Dorothy found a diamond of slightly better quality for cheaper at a Zales outlet when she was shopping with her friends. Thinking we had been ripped off she came home crying. I had the Zales salesperson print out the information on the diamond and returned to Shane Co. I thought we were going to have a stand off or fight with the store, but I was wrong. When I got to the store I approached Jason Marshall again.
The only thing that Jason cared about was making sure my wife and I were happy. He apologized for Shane Co. not beating the competitor outright! The store did not have a competing diamond on hand. However, through his database of stores he found a diamond of similar quality and matched the price at the Zales store. I was amazed at how easy the transaction was. I always felt cared for and couldn’t believe how patient the sales person was considering the situation.
This gave me incredible confidence in Shane Co. I will now always buy my jewelry at Shane Co. Because I know that no matter what the other jewelers have or what prices they have, Shane Co. will always beat their prices. In addition, Shane Co. has unique pieces that my wife loves. If that wasn’t enough, the lifetime guarantee gives me even more confidence and security to buy.
The last part of my story is that I have since purchased a bracelet, earrings and necklace with diamonds and sapphires to match the engagement ring. I did so with confidence that they will be both unique, highest quality and at the best price. I know Dorothy will love them and wear them all the time. Thank you Jason Marshall, Shane Co. and staff for making my engagement ring purchase a wonderful experience instead of a nerve racking one.

Long story short: Come in with an idea of what diamond stats are important to you, you may be surprised that many I1 diamonds and low colors look good, but get excellent cut always! Order from website if you have to! They will order in diamonds from website and they'll be there in 1-2 days, and you'll be able to be very selective as there is a large selection. Also, Sean and Mia are EXCELLENT sales associates, and Amanda with customer service is seriously the sweetest!
Long story (not short): We purchased my first engagement ring here in 2015 and had a good experience, and as it was now time for an upgrade we went back in. We felt some pressure from our sales guy, as we were just trying to learn what diamonds are good, what "stats" we really needed, etc. while he was very adamant that "stats" didn't matter, which I agree with to an extent, but... We ended up leaving having purchased a ring, which wasn't my full intent for the day but was fine. When I picked it up three days later, I realized the cut of it looked very small compared to my other 2ct stone. As it wasn't a cheap diamond by any means! I found that the cut was only fair, which was causing it to face up very small and not have the performance it should have. Who wants a 2ct rock that faces up like a 1.6ct? Not me! So I set out researching, looking at their website for other diamonds and other forums for diamond information. I emailed multiple times to no avail (just call if you ever have an issue), and was contacted by Sean after I put in a phone call. He emailed me after his work hours, I gave him my list of specs I would like to see for a new diamond along with my top 3 from the website. He looked them over and called me the next day right when he said he would to discuss the options, what he thought looked best, and they were in within 1-2 business days depending where the diamond was coming from. I met him with him for the first diamond that came in and it was excellent, then the next business day and I met with Mia. She was such a great help and really helped me to feel no pressure, and no stress over wanting a diamond change so soon into owning the ring. Never once did I feel judged, discouraged or pressured to do anything! She was completely understanding of the situation and her goal 100% was for ME to be happy with my purchase. Mia gave me space while comparing the two diamonds, encouraged me to see them in different lighting throughout the store, even helped me through my struggle of deciding between the two very beautiful stones. I am thrilled with her customer service, and for every future purchase, I'm asking for Mia or Sean!
I've now received my ring with the new diamond and I am thrilled. The light performance is incredible, and even though it is "lower" color, you'd never know. It is a triple excellent that only has 2 small inclusions in very specific lighting, which I am thrilled about.
Overall, my experience at ShaneCo had a SLIGHTLY rocky start, but I do see that they were just working with the inventory that they had in the budget that we had. It took ordering in to find a near 2ct stone with excellent cut, and I'm sure if the salesman had had it in stock the first time he would have shown me. He was very kind! But thankfully, Shaneco has excellent customer service, and my diamond was just considered an upgrade as it was $60 more (best $60 I ever spent!). I highly recommend ordering in from the website if they've not got something that you want in store! And working with Sean or Mia. They were incredible! Thanks again you two!
