My new husband and I went to Lake Oswego jewelers from Seattle, WA because I liked their online selection for my engagement ring. We were in for a treat when we met Travis - who had saved the ring all week for our visit and had the ring and diamonds on display for us when we came in for our appointment. We were so happy and pleased with Travis’ service and knowledge about the jewelry (not to mention the history of this jewelry store and that it is a family business). Travis made it possible to leave same day with my beautiful vintage engagement ring along with both of our wedding rings, that we were not planning to buy that day! Travis gave us a first hand, personal jewelry buying experience that we would not have had at just any jewelry store. My wife and I had an amazing experience working with Travis at Lake Oswego Jewelers. A few years ago, my then-girlfriend shared the custom design that Travis had prepared for an engagement ring she was purchasing for me. We had envisioned complimenting rings based on a simple claddagh design. I was very impressed with the elegance and clarity of his work. In mid 2017, my fiancée-to-be introduced me to Travis when I was in the States to check my ring size. I enjoyed his professional yet relaxed & personal approach, and found him very easy to get along with. A couple months later, I abandoned my search for a jeweller in my native Australia and contacted Lake Oswego Jewelers to create the perfect engagement ring. Travis remembered me and was immediately up for the challenge of designing a custom ring with a client in an entirely different country! We exchanged many drafts via email (his 3D design prowess helped a lot) and his responses were always swift and personal. Over a few weeks, we created an incredible piece, and when I eventually received my own ring, I was blown away yet again. We couldn't be happier with the work that Travis and his team have done.

Before calling LOJ, I did my due diligence calling around to other jewelers in town and window shopping only to be met with short sentences and attitude...when I called and spoke to Travis at LOJ I could immediately tell that they had a spark that no one else had. Travis was attentive, non-judge mental, not pushy, patient and had a vibe of trustworthiness that none of the other shops had. I came in the next day and we talked about what my fiancé would like, what I would like and all the while Travis was happy to discuss options, precious metals, give me the pros and cons, etc. It was obvious that I wasn’t just another paycheck to this jeweler. Within two days we had five stones shipped in to examine in person within my budget and guidelines and the final stone choice was a no brainer - then the real work began (the ring). Now I’d love to tell you that I picked a ring out of a catalog and got out of there, but I couldn’t let her wear just any ring off the shelf. Over the course of the next couple weeks Travis and I went back and forth custom designing a ring that combined the band of one, with the bridge of another and the basket of a third ring. The result was everything I had expected and there is nothing that could have possibly been smoother or more perfect about the transaction. I've known Travis and Tiah for 15+ years and if your looking for a place to buy a ring, look no more, these people are the best! Super nice people who actually care about the final product that comes out of their store. I know for a fact that I was a pain in the butt client. I ordered two total rings from them. The first ring was returned and upgraded and the 2nd ring is the one in the picture. I absolutely love the ring! It was exactly what I was looking for! I've never in my life shopped for a ring, so needless to say I was scared. It's a super expensive purchase, but it all worked out! Travis and Tiah walked me thru the process from start to finish. All my questions were answered and then some. This process took about 6 months in total! That's a long time to deal with someone and Lake Oswego jewelers handled it amazingly. I could go on and on, but in all seriousness, this is by far the best place to buy a ring! I currently live in Los Angeles, California so we did ALL OF THIS through emails, calls and text messaging. I easily could have bought in California at some local ring shop, but I didn't, I chose Lake Oswego Jewelers! By far my best decision!

In the summer of 2017, I had my fiancé’s ring made based on a simple claddagh design, and this last weekend, I was presented with its perfect match (my fiancé is from Australia, which made the collaboration an even more delightful surprise!). I know my fiancé had his reservations about wearing a ring with a heart detail on it, but Travis created a subtle, masculine design that suits my fiancé’s style flawlessly. As for my ring, I fall even more in love with it every day. My fiancé is only able to visit every few months, but somehow he and Travis managed to produce a completely custom ring despite timezone differences and relying solely on online communication. Travis and the team have been amazing to work with and we couldn’t be more appreciative!

Travis contacted their master watch maker who when he couldn’t obtain a replacement from the manufacturer custom made one just for me. They tidied it up after by polishing and cleaning. Oh my goodness I can not say enough nice things about the incredible people at Lake Oswego Jewelers. My experience with them has been above and beyond anything imaginable. Let me tell you the story of these incredible people- My husband proposed to me with a family heirloom ring that Lake Oswego Jewelers restored for him and sized down to fit my tiny little baby fingers (size 4.75, not an easy fit!) and it was wonderful! Until the age of the ring itself started to present with numerous problems. The original ring was yellow gold, and we had it dipped in rhodium to make it appear to be white gold which is much more my style. I would have to come back to get it dipped about every 3 months. The crew at Lake Oswego Jewelers could not have been nicer about it! Fast and polite service, and I always loved visiting with everyone in the shop. Then the tips on my center stone had to be replaced. Again, we had wonderful and fast service. Then it was time for the wedding! Yay! They cleaned my engagement and wedding bands and things were great for the wedding. Fast forward 6 weeks to when I am playing with a neighbors dog and a diamond from my wedding band falls out and is lost to the garage monsters. No big deal, I know great jewelers who can fix this! I take my rings in because I figured this was the perfect time to also have them soldered together. Travis took the time to inspect them fully and educated me on what was going on with my family heirloom wedding set- ALL the tips (over 50) needed to be replaced, as did the shanks on both bands. After hearing this, replacing the lost diamond was the least of my worries. Travis also explained that due to the age of the rings, they would probably only last about 10 more years. At this point, my husband and I decided that we would look at different rings, as the cost of refurbishing the heirloom rings was close to the cost of a brand new ring that would last longer. With Travis’ help, I found an amazing ring! But, it was already spoken for. Travis and his wife worked their magic and were able to contact the manufacturer and secure a new ring for me!! The entire crew at Lake Oswego Jewelers seriously worked some incredible magic and my new ring came in way sooner than expected! I am definitely a customer for life and would highly recommend Lake Oswego Jewelers to anyone and everyone!

Best selection, service, and pricing around! I looked at all over for my fiance's diamond, including the Shane Co. and even Jared. I started off by telling the sales associates at the Shane Co. and Jared my budget and then the games began. Immediately I was subjected to sleezy sales tactics and pressure. This was supposed to be an exciting and once in a lifetime experience, yet, I left both places feeling overwhelmed and uncomfortable. After my unpleasant encounters I decided to take the advice of a friend that told me to call Lake Oswego Jewelers, and it was the best decision I could have made! Unfortunately I came to Lake Oswego Jewelers because I lost my wedding band on a bike ride in Parkdale, OR. The insurance company our rings were insured with had two outfits they worked with in Portland area: Lake Oswego Jewelers and another that I'll leave nameless. Since my wife and I got our rings originally from a small, family run organization in Ohio 10 years ago, we wanted to stick with that tradition. The staff at Lake Oswego Jewelers were not only extremely helpful and very professional in getting my replacement, but also helpful in facilitating up-to-date replacement value appraisals through a third party for my replacement ring and my wife's engagement and wedding bands. I wouldn't hesitate to point anyone in the direction of Lake Oswego Jewelers if you're looking for jewelry of any kind and the highest caliber of quality and service. As a cautionary note, please don't do what I did and wait 10 years before doing another ring appraisal, as it will cost you if you need to have a replacement! The fault on this is wholly my own, as Gemshield (the ring insurance company) gave me annual reminders to get reappraisals, but I always forgot to follow through. Even if you aren't in the market for jewelry now, go get your existing jewelry appraised through Lake Oswego Jewelers' third party service and then get your jewelry insured for that replacement value through an organization like Gemshield!

Lake Oswego Jewelers goes far beyond the call of duty! My journey to finding just the right ring was fraught with challenges but Travis and Tia (owners) not only made it possible but helped to make it special. It all started when my fiance and I went to several jewelers to find out what she liked but couldn't find something that really called out to her. I, having zero experience in jewelry and living 2000 miles away, wasn't much help. Lake Oswego Jewelers was recommended to me by a friend that's from the area so I approached Travis (the owner) with a hodgepodge of ideas of what she liked and didn't. He said "no problem bud, we've got you taken care of." Over the next few weeks, he and I worked together over the phone and email to craft a custom ring that really captured the essence of who my fiance is and the love we share. That was the easy part. Many questions still remained. Being so far away (Texas), when would I be able to pick out a stone? When the ring was ready, how would I pick it up and then how would I get it back to Seattle (where my fiance lives) all without her finding out? So we hatched a plan. I drove from Austin to Seattle planning to spend the month of Dec and part of Jan in Seattle. On the way, I just "happened" to take a slight detour through Portland where Travis had the stones ready for me to see. After selecting the perfect stone I continued me journey. Step 1 was complete. Step 2 was going to be a little more tricky. The plan was to propose on a surprise birthday trip to Bend OR on the top of MT Bachelor the first week of Jan. I had 2 big hurtles to over come. 1. Learning to snowboard and 2. Receiving the finished ring from Travis without my fiance catching on Fortunately for me, Travis made getting the ring much easier than me having to learn how to snowboard. Turns out Portland is a great halfway point between Seattle and Bend and a good place to grab some lunch. I kept Travis updated on our travel status and he met me at the restaurant. He even took pictures of us walking into the restaurant together so I could show her later. It was all a very 007 hush hush operation. While inside I sat us sitting towards the door where I could see when Travis arrived. Operation Put A Ring On It was in full swing. Travis arrived as a take-out customer and I excused myself to the bathroom. We thought we'd meet in there and he'd just pass it to me and we'd be on our way. What we didn't count on is that the restaurant only had a 1 person bathroom. So there we were, 2 guys in a 1 person bathroom exchanging a wedding ring. Nothing strange going on here at all! Fortunately for us she didn't see either of us walking out. Whew! That was close. On to Bend. Step 2 completed. The proposal went amazing! The ring sparkled like no other from the top of the mountain. It was classic, elegant, stunning and the diamond has lots of fire, just like my fiance. The only question now was how the hell was I going to get off the top of the mountain without killing myself. The answer, with a ski patrol escort and a incredibly surprised and elated fiance. First of all I must preface this by saying I am not a jewelry person. I know nothing about jewelry, other than it's expensive and I don't wear it. I was however in need of some jewelry for my girlfriend, and absolutely lost. I tried stopping by some mall jewelers and was totally overwhelmed. Well in all honesty I started asking my friends girlfriends for recommendations because most all of my friends are like me. Jewelry dumb. If we had our ways our girlfriends would be excited for the new xbox we bought them.... Through several of my friends and their girlfriends, Lake Oswego Jewelers came highly recommended. I hid my debit card and check book and ventured into the little shop on State ST in LO. I had looked up online tips on how to get the best deal in a jewelry store. I read up on carats (not carrots) and colors and cuts and GIA. I was so pleasantly surprised that although the knowledge was helpful, the wonderful staff explained to me everything I needed to know. I came in and gave them a budget and instead of being showed items way beyond that budget, I found the perfect bracelet and bought it UNDER BUDGET! They respected me as a person, and a jewelry idiot, and helped me get the perfect item for my girlfriend. I would recommend this LO Jewelers to anyone. Pros: -The friendly staff is amazing to work with. I never felt rushed, or like they were trying to milk money out of me. They respected my budget and found me the perfect item UNDER it. -I'm a jewelry idiot, but they seemed to have a lot of items in my low price range, and there was a lot of other things. Seems to have a really amazing selection. -The staff was so patient with me and my lack of knowledge. I really appreciate them educating me and explaining things to me -Value!!! When I heard it was in Lake Oswego I was worried that you had to have a Lake Oswego wallet to afford anything there. After I purchased the bracelet I kinda poked around at other places to make sure I got a deal. The pricing was well below any where else I could find something similar. Cons: -The only con I have is now my girlfriend expects amazing jewelry every time we have a milestone.

I came to Lake Oswego Jewelers for my first pair of real diamond earrings and was blown away with the customer service and amount of time they spent with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted (to make all of my friends jealous)! I went back a month later for bigger versions of the same earrings (friends weren't jealous enough) and it was a no questions asked exchange. They even changed the backs to the screw on fastenings so I wouldn't lose them (A.K.A. friends trying to steal them). I will definitely be a life long customer as long as they're around, which at this rate will be a long time! Sidenote: Tiah will give you information on how to insure your jewelry - you should do that! Friendly people here. My antique wedding ring had lost a stone and their goldsmith took extra care finding a new stone to match the others in it. My only critique would be their communication. They told me when to expect a call with an estimate, and they then told me when it would be ready. In both cases, I ended up having to call them to get the estimate and call on the due date to find out they needed an extra day to find the special antique style stone. I didn't mind waiting another day, but it would have been nice for them to update me on this.

I finally came in to LO Jewelers after 2 years of hanging on to my squished ring and never getting it fixed. I had stepped on it and the band completely flattened and I was devasted since this was a gift from my father. The staff there was so great and helpful.
