I've always been a client of D.Cole (without even knowing). My mother has been going to D.Cole to clean and mend my Saint Christopher guardian necklace. More recently, I went to D.Cole for their expertise on customizing an engagement ring for my girlfriend of over five years. I knew what my budget was and I knew I wanted to make the proposal experience special (topped off with the exact ring that match her wants with her aesthetic). Ryan and the team of jewelers and sales associates were MORE than helpful. They guided me through the whole process, from education about rings to the stages of ring-making. I can say with certainty that they took a nervous young man and helped encourage him through the steps with confidence. I appreciated everything that D.Cole did to ensure that I wouldn't feel pressured as I navigated my way through (certainly) one of the biggest moments of my life.

I truly had the best shopping and customer service experience of my life at D Cole Jewelers! I find that jewelry shopping can be intimidating and stressful, but not at D Cole. They have created an immediately welcoming, warm, and laid back environment that immediately puts you at ease. I went in to select wedding bands and also to get advice on some older pieces I already had. The selection of pieces D Cole carries are varied and beautiful and there are options for every budget. And looking through the pieces I brought in was such fun, with the different jewelers popping over to take a look and give an opinion or share some history or craftsmanship knowledge. The whole experience felt so homey and just a dream-come-true for jewelry enthusiasts. Special shoutout to the lovely and charming associate Julia who guided us through our shopping experience with warmth and enthusiasm. Best service I've ever gotten anywhere!! D Cole has been around for decades and is an absolute Portland treasure. The vibe of the shop and of those who work there, as well as the quality of the work, make D Cole a beloved institution with loyal customers, of which I am now included! The folks at D. Cole Jewelers are the BEST! I brought my engagement ring in to be repaired after the band had split (it had previously been soldered by a different jeweler), and when they returned it to me it looked even better than it had before. My fiancé and I have since bought our weddings bands from them, and will continue to be lifelong customers. The entire D. Cole team is so helpful and friendly -- they really make their customers feel taken care of. I can't recommend them enough!

Everyone we have interacted with there has been exceptionally thoughtful, genuine, knowledgeable, and invested in us. My fiance and I recently got engaged and he worked with one of D. Cole's jewelers, Ryan, to custom make my ring. I am beyond thrilled with the ring they created together for me - it's far more beautiful than any design I've seen or could have come up with on my own! Throughout the ring creation process, Ryan was easily accessible to my fiance and continuously encouraged my fiance's vision while also providing helpful guidance and advice. My fiance really enjoyed working with Ryan and is still talking about how wonderful his experience was. Before this process, we looked at rings at D. Cole so my fiance could get a sense of my style. Even though we weren't officially customers yet, Ryan gave us his undivided attention on a busy day and never made us feel rushed or pressured in any way. I cannot say enough about how amazing our experience with them has been. We will definitely be working with them to create our wedding bands and all other important jewelry purchases in the future!

The absolute best jeweler with unique and timeless pieces! Dean designed our engagement and wedding rings back in 2012 and they are so beautiful. I have since moved to Florida, but only buy my jewelry from D. Cole every time I am in Maine and now using their online store. I just bought a beautiful lotus sterling silver necklace online and it is beyond beautiful. The quality and craftsmanship are unbeatable! Its worth the trip to downtown Portland to see them!

Everyone I interacted with was kind and competent, and the ring exceeded my expectations. I really like D Cole jewelers. They have such a great selection of jewelry there, it takes a while to browse all the cases. This is a family-run operation and they are very experienced jewelers. Their pricing is reasonable; you'll maybe pay a tad more for something here than at the corporate warehouse jewelry stores, but it's worth it! I just wish they were opening later during the week (or on Sundays) as getting to them during business hours is a bit tough for me. If you don't see what you are looking for, chances are they can special order it for you or point you in the right direction. They are very accommodating when it comes to repairs, trustworthy and do good work. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for something classic or something unique!
