I’ve been coming here for a little over four years now and always had a great experience. The staff is very friendly, approachable, and helpful. They have good prices on jewelry along with a wide selection to choose from. Aside from jewelry, they also have a small selection of collectibles. When it comes to pawning jewelry, they ask how much you need and see what you have to pawn. They then weigh it and test it and give you an offer-which is usually the amount you were looking to get or a little lower, but they try their best to meet you halfway at least. There has even been times where they’ve given me more than what I was asking for. They could’ve easily just gave me amount I was asking for, but that’s just a perfect example that shows how honest they are. Even when it comes to getting your items out of pawn. They send reminders to let you know the due date is coming up. They’re actually one of the ONLY pawnshops in Jersey City that actually want to see you get your stuff back. Unlike the others where they can careless if you get your stuff or not. Other shops prey on people not being able to pay their loans back. In a business like the pawn industry, I can honestly say H. Schoenberg is one of best. I highly recommend doing business with them. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been using this, family owned, shop for many years. They are professional and give you the best prices on sales or loans..the shop is especially clean and sanitized...look in the window/look in the cases for special occasions:. believe me they keep very unique and beautiful jewelry, watches, etc at.great prices. i highly recommend them for all your pawn shop needs.

Overall a great experience! The staff, especially Manny, were extremely friendly, explained the process and very customer service driven. The shop itself is very clean with great items at great prices. Many times intimidation is part of the pawn shop experience but NOT here the staff actually made it fun. The store and the entire staff and owner are so awesome. They made me a life time customer based on my experience here. I highly recommend this establishment!

As I walked in, I was amazed of how nice it was and the woman behind the glass was super courteous and nice. The owner is engaging and would buy or pawn my items here because they are truly honest. At 72 and having g quadruple bypass, covid, swine flu ,both hips replaced as well as arthritis in my spine I still go an the treadmill fir at least a mile each time and 2 to 3 miles on the bike. I had a great Experience the 1st time I came when I saw the small of gold Really nice people very nice atmosphere super clean store but then I came again and I tried to sell roughly 76 dwt.. of .925 silver jewellery roughly 4.25 oz. Spot melt value is $95 dollars told me it was worth 20 dollars which is 20% of spot price right now its $ 1.25 per dwt but they offer u .25 cents per or 20% I don't expect spot but at least 60% or its just greedy buy that's your right still super friendly nice guy nice place and people just don't bring them silver lol there's a shop in town that actually pays 80%

It was a God call walking into this place. The day before i was on Pinterest and i saw a ring that had my birthstone and i fell in love! My sister and i were walking and saw this shop and decided to walk in. The guy that was there (should have noted his name), was super helpful! & i found the most perfect ring with my birthstone! It was meant for me. Great price as well, and get this ... they do layaway!! Can’t wait to get a new piece of jewelry from here.

I've been to a lot of pawn shops in many states and this is one of the cleanest I've done business with. Nice people, fast and very professional. This is a family run business and it shows! Not a chain pawn business that just takes advantage of people in a bind, they really do like to help people in need. Definitely recommend this place if your in Jersey City NJ.

Was a misunderstanding. I went back and was offered the correct price! Staff is nice but pricing is all wrong. Offered me $570 for a loan for the following: 16.6 grams 22k 6 grams 24k bars Went to NY got $855 for a loan on the same items. 50% more. Also offered only a $100 (loan) for a tag heuer, NY did $200 (loan) 100% more. I left NY with $1055 instead of $670 H. Schoenberg offered. All in all I got 57.46% more elsewhere. If they are willing to make it right I can do business with them in the future if not I already found someone who is willing to give me a fair market value. Do your research and shop around I did and got $385 more.

So I was trying to get alone with some of my valuables 12 a couple of different places and walked out of their extremely frustrated because All the places I've been to were totally low balling me Hard to get a trust worthy police that will give you a good market value for what you have, I was determined to go to New York and look at some options there but on my way home I came across H.Schoenberg and decided to try them out , I am glad I did because they came thru , they gave me the loan that I was looking for, and saw the value in the articles that I had , I truly appreciate you guys ! This guy who helped me was really super nice I actually called a few other places before coming here which I never even heard of and they were rud as hell including jemma loan I will never go to them although I used to years ago I actually walked out of there with way more than I expected just for my gold chain and cross and didn't even have to pawn my APPLE IPAD and they made my day and they gave me even more than I wanted without even pawning my APPLE IPAD so yes absolutely highly recommend this place

H.Schoenberg is the best pawn shop in Jersey City. There staff is friendly and helpful and the also bilingual. They always help me out when I'm short of cash. And if you need a little more time with your pawn all you have to do is call them and they will help you. And for the person complaining about profit, the pawn shop is a business they need to make a profit how do you expect them to pay the rent, light, employees salaries and taxes What do you think? It's a government agency?
