I had a great experience working with Dean, the owner, at Shallow Jewelers. About a month and a half ago I went in to get a prong on my wedding ring fixed. I had purchased the ring out of the state, but they quickly bent the prong back into place and gave my ring a nice cleaning, all for free! That left a great impression in my mind. Fast forward to today, my husband and I were celebrating an anniversary and wanted to get a diamond wedding band. I knew we had to go back to Shallow Jewelers. Dean greeted us when we walked in, and helped us look at all our our options. He helped me find the perfect band to add to my ring. I’m grateful for his time and attention he gave to my husband and I as we shopped. Before we left he gave my ring another cleaning, and I love how my new band looks with my wedding ring!

I needed to have a watch band sized for a watch I received as a gift. I also needed batteries replaced in two older watches. For years I went to Hawkins Clock Center. Because their watchmaker retired, they referred me to Shallow Jewelers. When I walked in, the Jewelry Sales person was attentive to my needs and very kind in finding exactly what I wanted. Their watchmaker adjusted the band, replaced a pin in one of the other watch, changed the batteries and thoroughly cleaned my watches and bands. I found out he is one of the Shallow family and has being doing this for years. Very happy with the fast and friendly service along with the quality of work. The price was very reasonable too.

Always remember, that no matter how hard you try, you cannot make everyone happy. Every bad review that Shallow Jewelers get, is from jewelry, that wasn't purchased from Shallow Jewelers. People buy items on the internet or from other jewelers and want us to try to fix their poorly made or worn-out jewelry. Sometimes we cannot fix, what someone else has already poorly made. Highly recommend Dean and Shallow Jewelers for all of your jewelry needs including repair and cleaning. My husband picked out my engagement ring at Shallow Jewelers after the recommendation from his parents who are also loyal customers. We then went together and picked out my matching wedding band and his wedding band. The customer service is great, and Dean made us feel comfortable and excited about our big purchases. We later brought in a family ring that I was given, and Dean was able to clean and repair this ring within 1 week prior to the wedding, and cleaned up our rings to "showroom" ready - they were gorgeous! Family owned, free standing building in a neighborhood thats passed through Shallow family for generations. This is our jeweler of choice for purchases, repairs, insurance appraisals and other needs. Staff knows their product and if they don't have in stock what you seek, they will bring it in. It's great to see the same faces in a business. Dean Shallow is on site along Mike M and others. This is a solid and trustworthy retail jewelry store that lives by referrals and repeat clients. Employees have tons of longevity and experience in jewelry. Management wants a sale but just as important is they want to earn a lifetime customer. Experience customer service and an environment that cares.

Amazing service!!! I got both my engagement ring and wedding band here (along with my husband’s) and I was looking to get mine soldered together. I am from Milwaukee originally but now live in Chicago. I was only going to be in town for the day, so I called ahead and they were able to get the soldering done same day (in about two hours)!! Everything we have from Shallow is beautiful. Highly recommend them!

I have taken many watches for cleaning over the years. He does excellent work. The watches return looking like new. I would not trust anyone else to work on my watches. Amazing service and great, local feel. I took my wife's engagement ring in for a repair and received a reasonable quote and fast service. They finished it well ahead of the scheduled time. I was amazed at their knowledge as well. They guessed the age of the ring (approx 20 years) by the look of the diamond supports and were exactly right. The big stores don't offer this level of service or have staff with this kind of experience. Would highly recommend them.

Mike is excellent to deal with and my fiancé absolutely loves the ring we picked out ( I have never seen a diamond sparkle like that) I wouldn’t shop anywhere else after my experience at Shallow. I ordered my ring about 4.5 weeks before the date I planned to get engaged and mike made sure we had the ring in time. Update in 2021. Mike, Dean, and team continue to be the only jeweler we will ever need. There’s no place else to go in town to match the service and quality of their selection

They have a huge selection of rings and are more than willing to find anything you want that is not in the store. I called on a whim to see if they could fix a broken nose pad on my Ray-Ban sunglasses, and the owner told me to come in any time so he could take a look! 15 minutes later i dropped them off to run to lunch and when I returned, he welded them so they were good as new! He even tightened and cleaned them as well as offered to polish any jewelry I was wearing! I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking to repair sunglasses or jewelry!

Dean Shallow, and his father before him, have been my regular jeweler for over 40 years. I went to get batteries in 2 watches. While we were waiting, they cleaned and inspected our rings and cleaned our chains 9 pieces in all, no charge. That's the Shallow difference.

I purchased a Men's Skagen wristwatch from Nordstroms in 1998. It was replaced by Skagen because of defects in 2005. THE watch literally fell apart in November 2019 as I was resetting it for standard time. I returned it to Shallow Jewelers on 11/26/19 for repair. Shallow had the necessary parts, did the repair while I waited, and gave me a report on why the repair was necessary - defect in manufacture at Skagen. I found Shallow's management and repair departments efficient and courteous.

You should stop in and see Mike or any of the other Jewelers if you're looking for something bright and shiny.

Bought a cheap sterling silver ring in Hawaii for my then girlfriend of a few months, seven years ago. Once I brought it home for her, it ended up needing to be resized. I lived up the road from Shallow at the time and we took it in to be resized. The ring had some very small cubic zirconia on it from hawaii.... They said they'd call us when it was ready. Not only was the ring the perfect fit when we got it back the NEXT DAY.... We got in our car to leave and my girlfriend was looking at it and noticed the "diamonds" were twice the size!! No extra charge just the cheap resize cost. It was at that moment I said to her, "If I ever buy you a "real" ring I'm going to Shallow first no matter what." Fast forward six years later and we are looking at rings, at Shallow, with Dean, and I find the almost perfect ring for my soon to be wife. I had my lady step out of the store and Dean and I hashed out the pricing and the customizations to really make the ring perfect for her. I proposed shortly after I received the ring on St Patricks Day, a new moon that year, under the stars and I don't think she looked at me the whole car ride home.. Straight Dazzled.. Now fast forward to the wedding band...due to life complications, we weren't able to order the final piece until two weeks before the wedding. Wait time was going to be three weeks, at best, and we needed to have the two soldered together. We left it up to Dean, who was willing to go so far as to deliver the ring directly to our ceremony if need be. In the end, the wedding band came in within a week because Dean is a magician. We had the complete set ready a couple days before the wedding. If that isn't going the extra mile in customer service I don't know what is! To sum this all up, GO TO SHALLOW.

Well frist of all I when to the jewelry center to get my battery changed well they told me that the battery was good and they cleaned the contacts and they said I still won't work so I decided to give shallow jewelers a call to see what they could for the watch is a invicta reserve they opened it up and put a new battery in and told me that the other place didnt even opened it up now that I got my watch fixed and working again just want to say thanks for everything
