Yesterday I purchased my first (first new) Rolex. With the help of Hank and Skip, I can say my experience could not have been better. Though a watch enthusiast, I am not a collector, and certainly not a ‘flipper.’ This was a big purchase for me, and I will probably wear this watch for the rest of my life, almost daily. I am consciously aware that relative to most of Davis’ clientele, I am a little fish. But, I was at no point made to feel that way. I want to thank them for realizing that this was a significantly personal experience for me, and they made it memorably meaningful. I am local, and prefer to shop local when I can, it definitely paid off this time. I look forward to their ongoing high level of customer care (as needed) in regards to service and maintenance of this amazing timepiece.

Great store, very nice people. Bought a Tudor Black Bay 36, been wearing it a lot, its a great watch. Everyone was very friendly and every time I go in the experience is very good. They have excellent selection of watches, and I'd definitely buy my next one there. This one was a little pricey so I'm going to hold off for a bit but I may go for a GS next time. One note, don't go in expecting to buy a Rolex, they just can't seem to get them. Not really their fault, demand is so high for them I just don't think Davis gets very many. If you do want to get one I'd recommend showing interest at least a year in advance of when you would hope to receive it, and that is not an exaggeration. Expect at least a year. Or if you have a really good purchase history with them it'll probably get you bumped up the waiting list, at least I think there is a list, not something they would disclose. Otherwise be prepared to be very patient but honestly no matter what you do Davis will take good care of you.

I love Davis Jewelers. The people who work there are great to work with. What’s nice is they allow you to explore and decide on what you want and are very helpful when you have questions. I have designed multiple rings with the help of Chris and Ashley which turned out better than I expected. Especially when you have family items that you want to incorporate into new creations. I also worked with Steve when I needed a watch. With his help I was able to select the perfect watch. They do a great job in making you feel welcome even when you just come in to browse.

Very welcoming. Good communication in assuring that he (Skip) clearly understood what I was wanting. Skip was very knowledgeable and helped me find the right gold chain to securely hold my medallion. The jeweler needed to make a proper size bale to attach the medallion to the chain. I was able to pick my necklace/medallion up the next day. Service was superior In all aspects. I highly recommend Davis Jewelers for all your jewelry needs and/or wants!

I felt as if I was talking to a friend as his mission was to insure I would be satisfied long term with my decision. I am not a customer who spends tens of thousands of dollars on jewelry. However, my late husband designed a wedding set for me when his mother sent us her engagement ring and we wanted to incorporate it into a ring with my original engagement ring stone. Not only did Davis do a beautiful job but, many years later, when I went into have it repaired, the chip in my credit card had a malfunction and they told me to go ahead and take my ring and to come back in and pay in the next couple days. This is why you go to a local family store, not a big corporate conglomerate.

As a relatively new transplant to Louisville I wasn’t familiar with Davis Jewelers. I walked in a few weeks ago to buy my son a necklace and ended up buying myself one too. Our salesperson, Steve Breiner, was super patient as my son tried on one necklace after another. We had a brief conversation about watches and my desire to add to my collection. I shared a few of the watches I had not been able to source but wanted to add. During COVID supply chain shortages have been a nightmare for watch collectors but today I received a call from Steve saying he not only found a watch for me but it was the TOP one on my list! My experience with Davis Jewelers is unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life. My fiancé bought my engagement ring from a different place and the diamond was yellow. When he questioned it at that store, they said it was just the lighting which was not true. After that store wouldn’t trade my diamond in and wanted me to pay wayyy too much for a new one, I came to Davis Jewelers. Chris Poeschl greeted me and I explained my situation to him. Not only was he empathetic to what I had gone through, he assured me that they would do everything in their power to ensure I had the perfect ring. He helped me pick out a new diamond and expedited the process so I could get my ring back asap. When I saw my ring with the new diamond, I couldn’t believe how perfect it was. Chris along with everyone else at Davis Jewelers listened to my concerns and made me feel like their only customer. Not only was Chris amazing in person but he provided updates about the progress of my ring both via phone and email. I never felt like I was left in the dark. I now say that Chris is my personal jeweler because I will NEVER go anywhere else to buy jewelry. He changed my life and restored my faith in customer service. He showed the importance of building relationships with people and making me feel important.

We had some of my son’s ashes made into a charm that came with a leather bracelet that we purchased on Etsy. The band wasn’t very durable and kept coming apart. Obviously the piece is very special to me and something I didnt want to loose so we turned to Davis Jewelers to find something more durable. Unable to find something that would work their jeweler made us a custom piece and I could not be happier with the result. When they showed it to me it blew me away. I could tell that that they were honored that I chose to entrust them with something so special to me. I cant thank them enough. Over the years we have purchased other pieces of jewelry from Davis, I guess you could call them our family jeweler, but none more special than this one. Buying an engagement ring is stressful. I did a lot of shopping around before I settled on Davis. I looked at online options and multiple retailers. As a 22-year-old finishing college, I haven't had much experience with big purchases. When I decided to propose to my girlfriend of two years, I didn't know where to go to buy a ring. I am so thankful I picked Davis Jewelers, and here's why. I started at Shane Co., and they seemed to have good reviews. People in there seemed happy and I was impressed with their selection at first. However, after speaking with a salesperson, I quickly discovered how transactional and impersonal the experience was for them. I then went to Genesis Diamonds. It looked beautiful inside, they had more to choose from, and the sales staff was clearly more experienced. The experience they had, however, was clearly in the art of persuasion and towards rushing customers to a purchase. My salesperson dogged Shane Co. the second I mentioned them and said that they were not right for me. She showed me a ring I liked, and when I said I would think about it and come back, she pushed me to tell her why I wouldn't buy it now and that it might be gone tomorrow. I left confused on if I was doing the right thing and if this was how the engagement business was. Then, I came to Davis Jewelers. I walked in and the atmosphere was so light and friendly. I was immediately greeted, allowed to browse, and soon was met by the best salesperson I have ever met. Her name is Ashley Davis Sigman. I did not know that the vice president and daughter of the CEO would help me pick a ring when I came in! Not only this, but I saw her father walking around the store helping people! I love when leadership is so hands on in a place like this. Talking with Ashley was like talking to someone you've known for a long time. She has no tricks and no gimmicks. With her, it's just quality service with a smile. She made sure I was happy every step of the way. There was never any rush or pressure to buy, and that was so refreshing. I was looking for a vintage-style setting, and she helped me find the PERFECT one. Then, we sat down and picked out a diamond. I worked with Ashley and also a man named Corey to pick out the perfect diamond that matched all the criteria I wanted. We must've spent over an hour looking at different diamonds, which they were happy to do. Not only did they help me, they educated me. No other place did that. When the time came to propose, my now-fiance could not have been happier with the ring. This may be a long review, but I have to say I have never made a review before so I'm not sure if this is too long or not. All I know is I feel the need to praise Davis Jewelers for guiding me through this frightening process and making me feel comfortable, confident, and even excited. Thank you Ashley, Corey, and anyone else who helped at Davis Jewelers.

They set the diamond in the ribbon and we added four amethyst stones to balance the pendant and color for pancreatic cancer. Going to Davis Jewelers was the best move I ever made. I had this idea to have the diamonds extracted from my original wedding ring and then use them to make my wife a custom ring. When I called Davis Jewelers, the sales person answering the phone was pleasant, courteous and well mannered. I told her what I wanted to do and she set up an appointment for me to come in. When I showed up for my appointment, I had no idea that I would be meeting with Ashley Davis herself. Ashley took the time to ask questions about my wife to, in essence, get to know her. We talked and gathered ideas together, I think we were even there after the store had closed for the evening. Within 2 days, I had pictures of rings flooding my inbox. A week or so after I had made my decision, I went in and we were able to make some final adjustments to make the ring just right. I will never go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. Ashley not only took the time to get to know myself and my family, but still periodically checks in to see how things are going. It is obvious that her customers are the number one priority. Lastly, although most of my dealings have been with Ashley, each and every employee that I have dealt with has been amazing. If you haven't been to Davis Jewelers, you need to stop in!!

Just moved to Kentucky and was looking to get my wife’s engagement and wedding rings appraised so I decided to give Davis jewelers a shot based on great reviews so here I am adding another positive review. They had great customer service and the staff were really friendly! The appraisal was straight forward, the folks there are very honest and best of all you can trust them with your most precious jewelry. They also helped me on another occasion in getting the glass on my watch replaced, they even went the extra mile to see if the manufacturer carried the glass in stock. For my particular watch they did not have it in stock so they had a second option where they can have the glass manufactured through a 3rd party and they charged me 0 dollars for removing the broken glass on my watch. They only charged me for service 3rd party did on watch. Davis jewelers has my business and I can confidently recommend them based on my experience!

I also needed a certain metal because I am allergic to gold and I didn't want a diamond. Davis Jewelers was the only local jewelry store that were able AND happy to custom design a ring for us that met our specifications. Before choosing Davis, I had visited another very popular jewelry store and mentioned my skin allergies, they immediately told me that I was limited to a single display case of platinum jewelry and didn't offer any other options. They were very pushy on trying to sell me a diamond and didn't seem to consider what I wanted at all. I was beginning to stress out about the whole process and worried that I would have to settle for a ring that I didn't want.... Then I visited Davis.... The ladies at Davis were a pleasure to talk to and understood my concerns with skin allergies. I mentioned that I was looking at moissanite and a hypoallergenic metal but that I hadn't seen any designs I liked. They were more than understanding and genuinely seemed excited to create a custom ring that would fit my tastes. After showing my fiance several designs and drawing some, I left design process up to him. The ring he gave me is perfect!!! I've needed to get some adjustments since he proposed, and since my ring is a custom design I had to have the band custom made to fit the ring perfectly. Throughout the entire process, Davis has been absolutely wonderful to work with and they've always assured that my ring was exactly what I wanted. My daughter is getting engaged and my wife and I accompanied my future son-in-law to Genesis diamonds to choose an engagement ring. They showed us many rings and diamonds starting with the most expensive going down in price and quality from there. My daughter and future son-in-law are both seniors in college and don’t have a large budget. The closer they got to my future son-in-law’s budget the more yellow the diamonds were that they showed him. They were friendly, but it was very obvious they did not want us to leave the store without closing a deal. We left Geniuses not feeling good about our options based on his budget. We all ended up at Davis Jewelers based on a suggestion from a friend who knows about quality diamonds. When we walked in the door of Davis jewelers we were greeted with a friendly staff. Ashley Davis introduced herself and stated that she would be assisting us to find just the right setting and diamond. She thoroughly explained how to assess the quality of a diamond including the importance of looking at the diamond on a white background. Genesis showed us everything on a navy blue background. Based on my future son-in-law‘s budget she brought out five or six diamonds. She showed us in detail the difference in each diamond. I will have to say that every single diamond that she showed us had better sparkle and clarity and anything Genesis showed us and all of them were within his budget. Ashley was patient, funny and exceptionally personable and it did feel like a family atmosphere. My son-in-law easily found a much better quality diamond and closed the deal on the spot. They were great with the purchasing experience, but I had problems when I took my two rings to get soldered together. I made a next day appointment for my ring 2 weeks in advance. I dropped it off, and I was supposed to get it back the next evening, but they had it for almost a week. I explained this to 4 different people who each said they did find my appointment, and promised me they would start on it right away. They never did anything until I called and asked for the rings back. Then they said oh you can't pick them up he's working on them right now. He must have rushed it because the soldering it's very high quality. I didn't have time to deal with it then because we were going out of town, and now I'm afraid to take my rings back and leave it there for another week. Will probably take it to a jeweler in Cincinnati the rest of my family uses. They are a friendly no pressure jewelry store, and I did like them when we bought rings. They just need to take better care of the customers who aren't spending money at the present moment. It'll keep us coming back.

I bought a customized wedding band which failed twice in under two years (mfg flawed design). I was getting fed up and decided to go in and ask for something else. On the way there, I was preparing for push back or even a complete refusal since I'm sure I hadn't bought an extended warranty. Davis jewelers is that rare company that has loads of integrity. They attempted to replace a battery in an Oakley watch to no avail. The watch leaked after two attempts and I had to send it to the Oakley company in CA where they determined the movement was ruined. I wrote a letter to Davis Jewelers telling them and promptly received a check for the full amount of $282.19 and an apology letter no questions asked. Davis Jewelers made no money on this, they lost money but to them their integrity and customer appreciation must mean more. I can not say enough about a company with that kind of integrity. I was hesitant to shop at a 'brick and mortar' old-school Jewelry store but not anymore - these guys are now at the top of my list.
