I couldn't find anyone locally to restring my late grandmother's pearls, so I called and spoke to Rich himself. It was apparent immediately that I'd found my jeweler. I shipped the pearls and received a call from Jessica the very next day upon receipt. She spent more time talking to me about the precious heirloom and emailed an estimate of price options (as some orphaned earrings were also included). Rich Custom Jewelry estimates 2-3 weeks to complete this kind of work, but they did it for me in just two, so I'd have them to give to my mother in time for a wedding. Jessica texted me photos of the restrung pearls. They're on their way home, and I am beyond delighted. Grandma's spirit is smiling, and my mother will be soon too. Highly recommended!

The gold smith that worked with me was very polite and had a well of knowledge about their craft that made the whole process nice and easy. I had a beautiful princes cut diamond wedding ring and 2 x smaller diamonds were falling out and I was scared to even wear my ring because I was worried more would fall out. Per a friend’s recommendation, I brought my ring in to Rich’s. I knew myself it was because of the type of setting. So it was decided to re-do my ring almost exactly except a little thicker with more gold in between the rows of smaller diamonds on the side. Brought in some jewelry that I never wear which was credited towards the work for a huge savings. Today I picked up my ring and be any happier. It is absolutely Gorgeous. Went in for a simple leather necklace for a pendant I got as a gift. It was really well priced. It broke so I took it back. They repaired for free with no questions asked. Almost felt guilty paying so little and taking up so much time. Super nice staff. If I needed/wore a lot of jewelry, I'd be a much more regular customer. I wanted to use my own diamonds and stone for my engagement ring, and all I needed was a simple design. Major jewelers wanted to charge me ridiculous amounts of money and then I found this place. Literally half the price of the quotes I was given. They were super nice and straightforward and it was so easy! My ring is simple but you could tell they were 100% capable of making something even more unique. They even showed me how they make and design rings! I am telling my friends how great this place is! I love love love coming into Rich Custom Jewelry. I stumbled into the shop about 7 years ago while my roommate was shopping at Smiths next door. I though, oh how cute is his stuff. Come to find out, I’m actually chatting with Rich himself. He starts talking about how he made this and that… pretty much everything in the display cases. I was like, oh gosh, I have all this jewelry from my mother and grand mother that needs repairing. He’s like, oh yeah, we can take care of all of that. Since then I’ve popped in and out all the time for anything and nothing at all. The employees pretty much know me by name as I them. I look at all of them like his kids. One big happy family. I drop off pieces to be worked on all the time and trust that they are in the best hands possible, my family. I always get so excited to bring in my friends and hope that they can develop the same relationship I have with them.

I had them make a wedding ring for me. It was such a wonderful experience all the way through the process. They really listen to what I wanted for the design…but when I was not 100% sure they offered some great artistic suggestions. The staff are super helpful, kind, and dedicated to getting you what you want. I had a few changes after I saw the wax molds and they were so receptive to what I wanted and even called to clarify some of the notes they took when I was there in person. I am so happy with my ring that we are getting my husband a ring made there too. I don’t write many reviews but this one is much deserving. I am super grateful to have stumbled upon Rich and Aaron. Here is my story: I bought a loose diamond online and had a beautiful ring setting custom made for me overseas. I was so excited to have my diamond set. I did a quick search on Yelp the second I received it and was so happy that a local jeweler (Jeweler A) nearby could set it for $100 and it would be done a few days later. I went to Jeweler A and found out that, unfortunately for me, the hidden halo was made over 1mm too short in length. My diamond wouldn’t fit. They said the only way for it to work is if they ordered a new head for around $400-500 and my halo would be gone also. The owner’s nephew told me that his uncle had 15 years of experience and to trust him. I left the store to get some more opinions. Jeweler B told me that if someone said they can get the diamond to fit, they are going to mess up the ring and it wouldn’t look good. I think they quoted me around $900 for a new head with hidden halo. Jeweler C.. these women were not very kind. They told me, “This is why you buy local.” “There is no way to make this work. It is never going to fit.” “Look at these plain settings you can get for $400.” (Btw, my setting cost half of that and had lots of details with hidden stones.) “To get a new setting made exactly the same will cost you around $2000, but it is an investment that will last you forever.”I walked out and went to my new appointment at Rich’s Custom Jewelry. At this point I just lost all hope. I have already accepted the worst. I knew the diamond wouldn’t fit. I knew I would be spending a lot of money. I knew the head would probably need to be replaced or I would have to buy a new setting. Rich’s shop was the smallest out of all of them. I sat down and spoke with Aaron and was not excited about my ring anymore. I kind of was just in a terrible, disappointing mood. Aaron stepped in the back to talk to Rich about it and he comes back and says, “If there’s a will…” and told me that for around $500 they can set MY diamond into MY setting by shaving off some of the gold on the inside of the halo and adding gold on the prongs so that it would fit around the stone properly. I was so thrilled. It was the best answer/solution I had. I jumped at it and he told me it would be done in 2-3 weeks. I honestly didn’t have much faith in the process. I kept thinking my ring was going to look weird when I picked it up. I was sooo happy when I received a text ONE WEEK later telling me my ring was done. I made the next appointment and drove straight there to pick it up. It was BEAUTIFUL! The ring looks so perfect. You cannot tell that any extra work was done to the ring. Rich stepped out to talk to me and told me that it wasn’t easy and he wouldn’t allow an apprentice to do it. Only himself. OMG, I am so happy! Please trust Rich with your jewelry. I would highly recommend him and will continue trusting them to service my jewelry. They did the impossible. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I just picked up my custom platinum rings from Rich’s and could not be more pleased. The rings are beautiful! Highly recommend! The customer service & knowledge of their craft was exceptional. I visited 3 other jewelers in the area before finding Rich’s. I worked with Aaron on concept to final product. He asked the right questions. He took all of the necessary measurements at our initial meeting, as well as the time to look at photos and drawings of what I was looking for. Custom jewelry can be a bit of a lesson in patience for both parties and at no time did I ever feel rushed or pressured to settle for anything other then exactly what I wanted. I feel the price was incredibly fair for the quality of the rings and the amount of time spent on my project...and they were all just fun to meet with, very gracious in sharing knowledge about their craft and not hesitant to offer honest opinions. I’m looking forward to future collaborations with them.

5 years ago, I had Rich Custom Jewelry make the wedding set for my wife. I was super happy with the work then. Recently I needed that same wedding set redone. When getting some jewelry repaired, it was quoted for value and I was assured it was safe under their insurance policy for that appraised amount. I got an email with photos and details of what needed to be done with price quotes. Recently got my grandfathers Bartenders Hall Of Fame ring he received in 1988 and and it was in serious need of some maintenance. Some of the paint on the ring was missing and it was very dirty. I was originally given an heirloom engagement ring from my husband. The band was very thin and fragile and we went in to get a replica made. They did a replica as well as a custom wedding band. I had some old gold and random diamond jewelry at home that I was able to put towards the purchase. Went in with a vision of what I wanted made, had to be waterproof , how I wanted my moms jewels from her old pieces distributed into each piece. Was treated with the utmost respect, as well kind hearted with the project they were about to do for me. We discussed my vision, notes were taken, moms old jewelry left in their care. A few days later I was asked to come in and approve wax molds. I was not completely happy with mold of what was to become 2 pieces. They explained that with the amount of diamonds being placed that was how it had to be. My vision was not there for the piece because of limited space. I told them if that was the best they could do, then go forward. Once I got the call to do final approval of 1st piece, I couldn't wait to get there. I walked in, he sat me down and presented me with exactly what I envisioned. My eyes welled up, I couldn't see anything else. The Jeweler designing my piece yelled back to Rich " We got it!". I was staring at disbelief and asked how and why he changed from Original Wax. His response, "it was not your vision, not what you wanted, so we made it work to your vision." He told me to turn the piece over and look at the back. Without me asking he went a step further and engraved the tatoo from my shoulder onto the back of my piece. I LOVE that he added that secret extra touch to a piece that means the world to me. They followed my direction on every piece to not polish out makers marks, take off burrs or imperfections. I told him none if us kids were perfect, we each had imperfections and sometimes rough around the edges. Each piece tarnishes/wears different, the same as mom's kids do. I , and my family wear our piece with love, keeping Mom always close. I receive beautiful comments on my pendant always. To see eyes advert to it warms my heart. Honestly I have had 2 people that I had never met tell me they knew the piece was VERY SPECIAL and so was MOM. I have referred a few people to Rich. The most recent just lost her Grandma (Nan) to Covid. She knew about my piece, and after her Nan passed just asked me to give her info to my Jeweler. Anyone considering SPECIAL Pieces, custom pieces, I do not hesitate to give you Rich as my Only Jeweler.
