We've been here a few times and on this last time i brought a bracelet that broke and one of the ladies in front gave me the material to fix it and i tried but when i came back another lady with a nice looking cat ring on her hand helped me further. She actually fixed it with a much thicker string and while she was doing that it gave us time to get more things, and ended buying a few things and a nice glass necklace. Very nice things to consider and we will come back for more. Great and friendly service.

I had a great great customer experience as a 1st time customer today.I went in there to get a bigger jump ring for one of my medallions. and while I was there I decided to have a black lava bracelet made with a small gunmetal bead to camouflage the knot.The bead was suggested by Courtney she works there but the gunmetal was my choice. In fact there's 2 Courtney's working there.So I referred to them both as Courtney 1 and Courtney 2 which produced a laugh from all of us Lol.Overall very good vibes and they're selection of custom jewelry making,Crystals and Imported Art pieces etc etc is worth the trip to Wicker Park.I'll be back.Thanks again for my 1st custom jewelry experience.You're awesome

I only discovered this place about a week ago or so. I was looking for places to get crystals for my newfound rock collection. You'll find some of the most common crystal selections here such as quartz, calcite and amethyst and small pocket size ones. They however have a wide selection of gemstones for jewelry making - which is the forte of this establishment. It's the mecca for jewelry crafting. They offer workshops also and teach you basics. Check out their website for their class offerings and other services. Jessica, our staff, was very attentive and helpful during our Stringing 101 session. They give excellent and honest advise. I will be coming back for more "making".

Beadniks is great for creatives. You can make your own beaded necklaces and bracelets. They have a huge variety of bead types, sizes and colors. And the staff is ready to assist you whenever you have questions or if you need help. My mom dropped her entire bracelet and beads went everywhere- the staff was super understanding and helped find all of her beads! In case you've never made a bracelet before, they'll help you with string/wire selection and attaching clasps.

A little on the pricy side, but if you'd like a "special occasion" place to buy supplies for making jewelry, Beadniks has all the materials you could want. In addition to precious metals and stones, I counted ceramic charms in the shape of every animal imaginable and beads made of ostrich eggs, painted bones, and coated corals. Can't wait to start crafting with my beautiful haul!

Wow, I am surprised by this little store! My sister decided to take me here and all I have been wanting to do is spend all my money there! They have a variety of beading items, stones, little cute jewelry and the vibe of this store speaks to my soul. I ended up buying an evil eye ring and a beautiful necklace. Try this place out if you are feeling creative, inspired or if you want to create a gift for someone. 10/10

I came in today with my two little girls that I nanny (5yo and 8yo) so that they could make some jewelry for their teachers. Courtney and Emily were beyond helpful and accommodating and helped the process be so smooth and easy. The girls had a great time and are so happy with their bracelets. Wonderful service, thank you!

The staff here is really helpful and know every corner of the store they work in. Every time I come in, the staff just has this very calm and tranquil way to greet their customers. Even when they're busy they would try to go out of their way to get what I need. I always tell them to not worry about me because I like hanging around in the store and just absorb what they do there. If you like arts and crafts I really think you should come here and give them a try. I bet you they're going to treat you just as how I explained it. I without a doubt know that is a for sure thing. They have an outstanding selection of beads here. I was extremely impressed when I walked in this past summer to have my bead anklet repaired. The sales staff here strongly encouraged me to repair my own anklet using their supplies and get creative. I spent an hour enjoying myself and added extra beads and tiny bells onto my original design and saved some money. When I completed my anklet she sealed it thoroughly with a clasp and it's still in perfect condition. Everyone here is personable, knowledgeable and there are so many playful options here like semi precious strands, crystals and bells. I highly recommend this shop if you're interested in a no fuss do it yourself experience.

One of my favorite places. You can come in and design your own jewelry. They give you a tray and you can pick out beads create your own design and then they will help you put it together. You can also bring in jewelry that's been broken for them to repair or restring.

This was a stop for my friends Amazing Race birthday adventure. The place had a surprising amount of people at 3pm on a Saturday and everyone looked like they were having a lot of fun. After handing over the clue to my friend we found out we had to make dream catchers up to the employees standards. The instructor was awesome and she made the whole process easy to understand. I'll be sleeping soundly with my new dream catcher over my bed and I'd love to come back for another class.

Right descent inventory and genuinely nice staff. Lacks the hippy drippy vibe although it has the trappings such as singing bowls and Eastern statuary. Prices reflect the local areas skyrocketing rental. Their staff craft some very nice custom jewelry. (revised)

I came to beadniks during the Do Division fest. They do have a variety of interesting items and you can spend at least an hour looking at things. They help you with projects and give recommendations on what looks good or how to approach a project. We asked them to make some necklaces for us, they were happy to oblige. I would recommend that you ask them for an estimate for parts and labor costs before they start making things, just so you don't get a surprise at the end when they charge you. Overall, cute store, nice designs and ideas and friendly people. You can even sit at the back and make jewelry and use their tools so in case you have repair projects you can do them here.

The staff here will help you repair your items, and they have all the tiny pieces needed to do it properly. Can make your own jewelry to replicate what you see in stores, but you won't save money: it's expensive.

A fabulous collection of beads, beads, and beads! Any type of bead of bobble you could imagine will be found in Beadniks. If you don't feel confident making your own jewelry, there are a variety of classes to get you started. If you're pinched on time, there is lots of jewelry already made. All of the staff are very helpful and patient in helping you find just the right bead or piece you are looking for. The store is cozy and welcoming, you could spend hours going through all the very organized bead tables and getting ideas on all of the great pieces you want to make.

They are really sweet ladies and I learned how to make beautiful bracelets through them. Once they get comfortable with you as a regular they don't hover. I do understand since everything is out in the open and trust means everything wihen owning a business. I've been a customer for a couple of years now and I have free reign. The atmosphere is awesome and its a great place to sit down, clear your head, and craft as long as you like. If you have a question, just ask and they are more than eager to answer it and or manually show you how. By all means stop in and give it a try.
