This place also does watch repair and maintenance. I have a watch I haven't worn back from 2013. The straps were looking worn out and the battery was dead, wasn't sure if it would even turn back on. Tan (the owner) was able to assist me with getting the battery replaced and gave impartial advice on the whether I should replace the strap or not. I walked out with a working watch, looking almost brand new with some new leather straps. All that in under 30 minutes and it cost me a little over $50. Thanks again Tan!!!

The staff at Shannon's helped me navigate what can be a very overwhelming process of buying an engagement ring with ease, expertise, and grace. Tan, the owner and head jeweler, stated up-front that they would work hard to help me find the ring that I (and my significant other) would be 100% satisfied with. Both of the staff that I worked with: Casey and Ryan, were friendly and professional as they assisted me and educated me about settings and diamonds. Because of their excellent service and knowledge I decided before I bought the ring that they were my jeweler, as they were serving me as their customer so well. I ended up finding a setting online that I really loved, and after showing it to Tan he was able to essentially match the setting! I was very pleased with how the ring came out, and I saved big time by not buying the name-brand ring. Perhaps the most helpful thing I appreciated in the process was that I could communicate with Tan and the other staff through texting. There's nothing that can beat a personal, local jeweler who is available in that way! Lastly, Tan worked extremely hard to meet my time-frame. I was at a wedding out-of-state and would fly in on Saturday night. My hope was that after meeting with Tan that same week (Tuesday), that he would be able to order the pieces and create my ring before Sunday when I planned to propose. However, due to my being out of town I wasn't going to be able to meet him at the store during regular business hours. He was flexible and agreed to meet me outside the store early on a Sunday morning off the clock so that I could purchase the ring and deliver it according to plan on Sunday afternoon. His kindness helped make my big day a great success, and I have all of the wonderful memories of that day because this jewelry team is a winner. Thanks to everyone at Shannon's! I will be back to buy our wedding bands, and likely future jewelry for my soon-to-be bride, and would highly recommend any who are considering buying jewelry to stop by Shannon's in Essex and meet Tan and the team. You won't be disappointed.

I stopped into Shannon's because my watch band broke. They were super-friendly and quick and in 5 minutes, I was on my way with my repaired watchband. The woman who waited on me explained that they do their jewelry repairs onsite, which seems to be rare today. The price for the repair was very reasonable. For the few minutes I waited for the repair, I browsed their selection and found that they had high quality new and vintage jewelry. I definitely recommend Shannon's for a jewelry and watch repair as well as their selection of fine jewelry.

Coming from a family of jewelers I can say that I don't trust anyone with my jewelry. This is the first time I used an outside jeweler for a repair and I can honestly say that Tans work is top notch. He replated and repaired a diamond ring for me and the work was excellent. Ryan was also extremely helpful and kind. I ended up buying a beautiful piece from the store as well. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

I recently brought in a much-loved, 2-stone pinky ring. The prongs felt rough and I was hoping for a maintenance assessment. Tan looked it over and said some of the prongs did need to be replaced. He assured me he would take good care of my little ring. He was SO right. A week later I was back in to pick it up and when he handed it to me I could hardly believe my eyes...the stones in the ring shone like never before! Tan explained that he had re-worked the prongs so that they would not hide the stones. I have worn this ring, every day, for 31 years and have had it serviced at a few high-end jewelers and yet my ring looked even better than it did on the day I received it. I've since brought in another ring for assessment and Tan said this ring looked good, cleaned it, and even gave me a rough estimate of its value..all for free. I will be taking all my repair work to Shannon's. I really appreciate this store's personal attention and level of skill. Thank you Tan!

My fiance bought me a gorgeous engagement ring in this store. The owner helped him pick it out and I a couldn't be happier with it. When I went in recently to get some engraving done I told him I hadn't been able to wear earrings for two years because of sensitivity to the metals. He ordered me platinum posts and made a beautiful pair of earrings to try. I was skeptical but I have been wearing them for a week without any problem, and am thrilled to get to have earrings again! Bottom line, the customer care and attention and the quality at Shannon's fine jewelery is unmatched.

I was so impressed with the work they did on repairing my engagement ring diamonds! They also re plated both of my wedding rings with rhodium. The rings look amazing, even better than they did on my wedding day! They were fast, took every covid precaution, and were really responsive.

My husband got both my engagement ring and wedding band at Saunders 10 years ago. I unfortunately had to get them cut off a couple of months ago for an upcoming surgery. Tan was very helpful in removing it for me, which I was very nervous about. He was able to resize, rewhiten, clean them and sauter them back together. I had also asked if he could add a few smaller diamonds to my engagement ring, and not only was he able to, he did an amazing job coordinating it with my wedding band. I highly recommend this local establishment. I went in to get my wedding ring and band cleaned and buffed. Cleaning was no charge and the level of care that was done buffing and polishing the rings were incredibly. Tan did an amazing job, they look brand new! I would trust any of my jewelry to him. We purchased a ring while on vacation for our granddaughter. Unfortunately it was too small. We brought it to Saunders Jewelers in Essex where they added a piece of silver to make it fit. I have brought them multiple pieces to fix and they have done an excellent job! The last one was a Victorian Era ring which was very worn out and about to lose some of its main stones. Tan stabilized it and added some missing stones. I'm very happy with the quality of his work.
