Cynthia is such a gem to work with. My husband and I came to her in 2019 to design my engagement ring. Working with her is a truly unique experience. She's very meticulous, and suggests stone shapes and designs that best suit your hand and finger shape. We liked working with her so much that we went back to design our wedding bands. My band perfectly complimented my engagement ring, and my husband's complimented mine 😊. I get so many compliments on my rings! Thanks so much, Cynthia!

My fiance and I stumbled across Cynthia's online presence by chance. After one consultation with her, we knew we had found the perfect custom jeweler for my engagement ring! Cynthia assessed my hand shape, finger structure, skin tone, fingertip shape, asked about my day to day life, and inspected an inherited diamond I had brought with me. I wanted something non-traditional, but still classic enough to age well. I liked asymmetric cluster rings, but I also wanted a center stone, and Cynthia agreed balance was important. My idea was a little different than many of the pictures I'd seen of rings she'd made, but I trusted Cynthia's thorough knowledge and expertise. She has the perfect balance of guidance and openness to the customer's ideas. I had lots of suggestions, but I also didn't know how to incorporate all of them into a single ring. But my fiance and I trusted her. While I waited for my ring, I kept seeing more and more unique designs on her instagram, and I was confident mine would be different how I wanted and beautiful—all her rings are beautiful. And when the time came for a proposal my first words upon seeing the ring were "It's the perfect ring! Cynthia made the perfect ring!" It was everything I asked for and somehow better. Cynthia has an artist's eye, but she is kind and listens well. We will definitely be going back for wedding bands and custom wedding earrings (hopefully), and I would trust her with any jewelry project. It's not every day you find somebody so talented who takes into account your ideas with such thoughtfulness, never makes you feel bad, and ultimately makes the perfect ring.

I've been in awe of Cynthia Britt's talent, passion, and exquisite design since I stumbled upon her Instagram account in early 2020. My then boyfriend and I loved the concept of designing a custom engagement ring and felt Cynthia could offer the personal experience we were looking for. Cynthia was quick to respond to our initial e-mail and given that we are from NY, suggested we have an initial meeting over Zoom. On first impression, Cynthia conveyed expert knowledge and intuitive eye for style and detail. Her sincere care, attention and distinct ability to see us clearly made it easy for us to trust her with this process. We scheduled an in-person visit to her Newbury St. studio, and over the next few weeks, Cynthia procured stones of various shapes, sizes, and colors according to our previous conversation. When we arrived, she was careful to maintain covid safety protocol, but nevertheless made it a warm and welcoming experience. My fiance and I have recently become engaged and the ring is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It is truly a work of art and I could not be more thrilled with the result. Buying an engagement ring is an intimidating task, but Cynthia made the entire process extremely painless. Cynthia is so easy to work with - she has a warm and happy personality and she makes every step transparent and customizable. For our engagement ring, we looked at several different center stones before choosing the best one for the ring style and my budget. Then came the ring design - I was able to see the entire creation process from pencil sketch to CAD file to wax mold to platinum casting and final product. I was thrilled with the process and my wife loved the ring! Given the great experience I had, we went back to Cynthia for our wedding bands, which both came out spectacular. Cynthia helped us design perfect bands for both of us - for my wife a perfect match for the engagement ring, and for me a ring that matches my personal style. I absolutely recommend anyone who is looking for a custom ring to go to Cynthia!! My fiance surprised me one evening by bringing me to Cynthia to get a custom fitting. The entire experience was incredible! Cynthia was very sweet and made us feel welcomed the minute we walked through the door. She was extremely knowledgable, and most importantly trust worthy. Both my fiance and I really wanted to learn a little bit about the process before we committed to a designer, and right away she was able to walk us through the steps, share with us her designs and expertise, and was extremely patient with us! Eventually we decided to take things for a spin and brought in three old rings to use to make a custom made engagement ring. Cynthia was able to take on everything I was looking for in a ring, and I was really glad I felt comfortable with her. I worked with Cynthia last year to design an amazingly gorgeous ring for my now fiancee. I found her through a quick google search and saw her highly reviewed work. I went in with a consultation and brought my own diamonds that I had bought from your normal day-to-day online diamond retailer. Cynthia saw the diamonds, inspected them, and then told me that she could do much better. Cynthia took the time to explain the intricacies of diamond buying, grading, and helped me understand why the diamonds I had bought, while nice, could be much better. She then offered to source comparison diamonds, no obligation required, to compare before she went ahead with her work. Let me just say, the diamonds she came back with (same exact cut, grade, size etc) completely outshone the diamonds I had brought in. There was no question I was relying too much on the grade of the diamond, and not on what the diamond actually showed. In the end I chose her diamonds over mine, with no regrets. We then sat down to design a ring that would be perfect for my fiancee. I brought in pictures of my fiancee, her hands, the type of jewelry she liked, and a comparison of what I was kind of shooting for. Cynthia took everything into consideration and came back with a design that I thought was absolutely fitting. The design work and setting has been flawless and my fiancee's ring shines like no other ring I have seen. It really is quite amazing. Cynthia, herself, is a dream to work with. Always communicative, relaying that she really cares just as much for your piece as much as she does for anyone else's. She is friendly, intuitive, relatable, and just does really really great work. All in all, I would totally recommend going to Cynthia for custom jewelry work. I will be going back for my wedding bands!

Cynthia is an amazing woman. I knew that she was going to be the one to design an engagement ring for my now fiance within about 10 seconds of meeting her. After spending frustrating hour after hour scouring Boston's "top" jewelry stores for "the ring" I stumbled into Cynthia's studio and was elated. Unlike every other place I had been prior, her first question was not "what's your budget?" - she asked me "what is your story? How did you meet? Can I see pictures of her? etc." She got right to the issues that really mattered - what about this girl is so special that you want to spend the rest of your life with her? To her, budget was secondary to coming up with an amazing design that perfectly suits the individual and that is really what Cynthia brings to the table. Don't get me wrong, her jewelry is absolutely top quality and incredibly stunning but I was really won over by her warmth and the level of care that she took in getting to know my fiance. I had done some basic research on diamond cuts, sizes, designs but really was nervous about pulling off such a daunting task. I mean, shes going to have it forever! My absolutely gorgeous engagement ring designed by Cynthia is Stunning Perfection. It is elegant first and foremost, but burns with a sparkling fire that is barely ‘contained’ by the gorgeous subtlety of intricate floral engravings decorating the ring itself and the basket of ‘leaves’ holding the stone in place. Its proportions are perfect, Cynthia took into consideration all the practical, architectural and engineering aspects of this masterpiece and gave expert advice on how it would suit the shape and fit of my finger. The little diamonds ‘hidden’ on either side of the main stone are also a delightful nod to my quiet, attention-averse nature, and I absolutely Love this accurate (and quirky, but subtle) reflection of my personality that Cynthia has beautifully incorporated into my ring! Since the engagement ring was very intricate and sported a ton of tiny diamond chips, I wasn't really sure what to expect – but I had all the confidence in Cynthia after our initial meeting with her. Cynthia made a beautiful custom made wedding band for my fiance and me. We were running out of time before our wedding and were having difficulty finding someone who knew how to make a special texture and finish. Cynthia said that she could not only make the ring but could do it in a short amount of time. She even made some artistic improvements to our concept/vision and did the job for less money then we had been quoted for much simpler wedding bands (that we were exploring as alternatives). Cynthia is a jewelry designer and jewelry maker (she doesn't just design the jewelry). The fact that she does the designing and makes the jewelry makes a huge difference when creating a custom ring because: 1. she knows what looks good 2. she knows what will work 3. she knows first hand what you want ( rather than situations where a designer tells a jewelry maker what you had communicated.....and miscommunication takes place). About a year ago I began the search for a perfect engagement ring. I was sent plenty of ideas and images from my now fiance but each precedent image had elements of what she wanted but was not quite hitting the mark. I debated buying a complete ring, but when you really think about it , nothing i buy from a store could really capture all the uniqueness of my love for Ali or her many ideas. It had to be something I made, we thought of and was handcrafted just for her. I searched and met with a lot of people before finding Cynthia. After our first meeting I knew she would be making Ali's ring. I purchased my own diamond on a trip to Dubai and brought only a center stone and some wild ideas to my first meeting with Cynthia but right away she was able to start filtering and guiding me. I know Im opinionated and I work in design so i felt like I came in with some sure ideas, yet was unsure how to bring them all together. Cynthia came up with ideas and visions i never would have though of. She found designs to show me I had never seen and made the entire process exciting and meaningful. She was patient with me each time I would need to take these news ideas and think them over. Cynthia was never pushy and would even continue to email new thoughts or 3D design drawings she was working on. When we finally settled on a design I was sure of the choices I made and excited to see how Cynthia would execute it. She had crafted and thought of every detail, how the center stone would catch light, how it would sit, how it would meet the band of diamonds. Even though I knew the design and had spent weeks thinking it over I was amazed at what Cynthia had created. It was stunning! She made this an incredible experience, and I could not recommend her talents, design and care more. There is literally no one else I would suggest going to if you vision it to create a custom engagement ring. Perfection. Let me first start out by saying that I rarely take the time to review anything, be it good or bad. That said, my experience with Cynthia was so exceptional, that I felt compelled to write something. Purchasing an engagement ring can be an overwhelming and disconcerting process to say the least. Before sitting down with Cynthia, I felt “lost”. After a handful of disappointing sessions with some of the more “well-known” jewelers, I was lucky enough to come across a few reviews for Cynthia. Upon reaching out to Cynthia, she promptly responded, and provided me with an overview of what the process would look like over the next several weeks if I chose to work with her. She also requested that I provide pictures of my girlfriend at our first session together. My initial meeting with Cynthia was warm and inviting. She made me feel at ease from the onset. We spent the majority of our time together, talking about my girlfriend, her likes, dislikes, and looking at pictures. It felt like I was catching up with an old friend. Cynthia took the time to really understand my girlfriend’s style and taste. I had a general idea of the type of ring that I wanted, but certainly nothing definitive. Before I knew it, Cynthia was sketching the exact ring that she envisioned for my girlfriend based on the minimal information that I had provided her. When I saw her final drawing, I was blown away, and knew that I had come to the right place. Cynthia then proceeded to educate me in all things diamonds. I had a general knowledge of the 4 c’s, but Cynthia’s insight was phenomenal. We discussed everything from how soil compositions from different parts of the earth contribute to the sparkle of a diamond, to how the shape/size of a person’s hands/fingers can influence the appearance of a diamond. It really was an eye opening experience, and I left that appointment feeling confident for the first time in this process. My next few sessions with Cynthia involved the actual diamond selection. I had provided Cynthia with my budget, as well as general preferences on cut/color/clarity. I assumed, like everywhere else that I had been, that Cynthia would bring in diamonds that were 10%-25% above my initial budget, but Cynthia did not. She took the time to search her distributors for diamonds that hit all of the specifications that I had requested. Cynthia is obviously very well-known and respected within the diamond industry, as her network of distributors is very impressive. She sources her diamonds from the same distributors as the high-end retailers on Newbury. That means that guys like me can get a “Cartier” or “Tiffany” quality diamond without having to pay additional for the name. Cynthia was patient with me during the diamond selection process, and took the time to teach me how to inspect a diamond, and the different characteristics that I should look for and pay attention to. She was also more than happy to provide additional diamonds upon my request. Overall, my experience with Cynthia was amazing! She made the whole process painless, educational, and exciting. Cynthia literally took me by the hand, and guided me step by step through this process. Her service was so personal, that if I hadn’t seen other clients show up for appointments, I would have thought that I was her only one. My girlfriend (Now Fiancee!) absolutely loves the ring that Cynthia designed! As excited as I was for my proposal, I was just as excited to tell my Fiancee all about the process that I had gone through to get to that point. The best part about this whole experience, is that my soon to be wife will forever be wearing a ring that was uniquely designed for her. The ring is truly one of a kind, just like its designer…. The experience my (now!) fiancé and I had with Cynthia was perfect from start to finish. Walking into her studio you enter a completely different world: Cynthia is more than a jeweler—she's an artist, and she will make sure your ring expresses what you want but also complements your hand. The appointment begins with an analysis and a sketch of your hand. Cynthia recommended metals and designs, and then talked with us about our interests. My husband and I met while waiting in a line in NYC because I remarked that I didn't think paleontologists existed anymore: he's a paleontologist. We wanted to incorporate the idea of fossils and evolution into our bands, without being overly literal and hokey. Cynthia came up with a stunning, elegant designs that were understated. My favorite comment on my ring to date is, "It's at once so much more than a band, and yet not too much." We had a very limited budget, and Cynthia was honest, direct, and came in under budget. Best of all, she treated us like her most valued customers, though we know many people spend more than we did by orders of magnitude. She was responsive to our concerns and truly collaborative in her designs, and she answered emails within 24 hours maximum at all times. It was very important to us to begin our marriage with a celebration that was intentional and representative of our values. We loved supporting an artist and having something custom-made that wasn't cut off a massive tube of rings, and we got a product more beautiful than I could imagine. My friend does not live in the area and wanted to surprise his girlfriend by proposing in Paris. He had about a month and a half to find the ring. It was clear right from the start that Cynthia is a true artist and she was the one to design this ring! Between my friend speaking to Cynthia regularly by phone, text, and email, and me popping by her office multiple times to look at sketches and loose diamond options, the service we received from Cynthia was incredible. She was always in reach, and I can't imagine we were easy to work with since the buyer lived in another state and I was following up with her in Boston. The ring came out absolutely beautiful, in a timely manner, and within my friend's budget. I'm shocked that she doesn't charge more just for the friendly one-on-one experience you get working with her. And she does not try to up-sell or sway you towards something more expensive. She's honest and simply aims to keep her clients happy. She also educates you and keeps you updated every step of the way. Her office is right on Newbury Street amongst many other jewelry stores, but I can pretty much guarantee that you won't get this kind of customer service or product anywhere else, especially for the price. I came to Cynthia after going to a couple of traditional Jewelers, it was really irritating to pick a ring and find out that they couldn’t shape it down to my (now) fiancé’s ring size. It was even more irritating to find low quality diamonds being shoved at my face. Visiting Cynthia was the best decision I’ve ever made. She was able to help design to my fiancé’s style and didn’t push for anything or try to force a sale. The sessions are nice and private. I highly advise brining photos of whoever you want to make a ring for. My fiancé and I are going back to have our wedding bands made. I highly recommend at least visiting her.
