My fiancé and I brought my platinum engagement set to MDJ for sizing. I was nervous to say the least. I am completely blown away with the amazing customer service and the quality of work that was done. They took my rings from a size 7 to a 5.5, let me tell you, my rings are flawless. Not to mention, both rings were sized within 4 days. I will definitely be a lifelong customer. My only regret is not finding Mark Diamond's Jewelers sooner.

When we first got engaged, my ring was too big and I was going out of town to visit family but wanted to wear it and Joe made sure to have it adjusted so we could share our exciting news. I have had to leave my ring due to my stones being loose and although I never like leaving my ring I know it is in good hands and have never been disappointed. In my profession, it can be harsh on my ring and everyone is always happy to inspect and clean my ring to make sure everything is looking well. We couldn't have chosen a better team to work with and we highly recommend them!

If you’re considering buying jewelry (especially, as I was, considering an engagement ring), stop looking and just go to Mark Diamond’s. A good friend recommended them to me, and after my first consultation I knew that I didn’t have to go anywhere else. They are experts, professional, and willing to go thousands of extra miles to make the whole experience special. I set up a consultation with Joe because I was hoping to design a custom engagement ring for my (now!) Fiancée. I was in way over my head, but had a general idea for what I thought could make for a special ring. I was astonished by how knowledgeable Joe was about everything, and how genuinely helpful he was. He wasn’t pushy and didn’t need to be—when you’re that good at what you do, it’s self-evident. After my consultation, we started exchanging emails and I became even more impressed by Joe. I sent him some photos of ring designs I liked, talked about some details about my Fiancée, where she works, what she loves, etc., and Joe began sending me CAD renders of ring designs he came up with that incorporated elements from all of our discussions. We continued to iterate for weeks and months on the design, until finally we had a design that I just knew my Fiancée would adore. All along, Joe was invested and was truly a member of the team—he was invested and excited, and it more than showed in the final design. I do feel a little guilty—I ended up challenging Joe with the timeline. But he was unflappable—a true miracle worker. Against all odds, he made sure that I was able to take the ring on the flight home with me for the Holidays. And it all came in at a budget we agreed on. When I picked up the ring, I was speechless and knew immediately that it was perfect. In the end, I couldn’t even hold on to the ring for more than 12 hours—when you have the perfect ring and the perfect person, why wait? And she said yes! As far as I’m concerned, I don’t see the need to go to any other jewelers… Ever. I’m so grateful for Joe and everyone at Mark Diamond’s, and I hope that I can keep working with them for years to come. If you go to their shop, you’ll immediately see all of their beautiful jewelry. But just know that behind each one of their pieces is an incredible amount of thought, expertise, and care. They’re masters of their art, and they love to do it. For me, that makes all of the difference in the world.

Truly excellent! I got married recently and I was searching for a jeweler to add a setting and a stone to an heirloom piece (Grandmother's wedding band). I can't sing their praises enough. I mostly worked with Ellen Diamond, but everyone in the shop was courteous and helpful every time I visited. I was so devastated because only a month after I received my beautiful custom ring, I got in a bike accident which resulted in losing the stone and the setting being ruined. Ellen was so great and was willing to work with me to get my precious piece repaired; she even did it at a discount! It took no longer than a week and a half and my ring was back on my finger in beautiful shape. 10/10 would recommend. When I was shopping for an engagement ring I went to 3 different shops. Mark Diamond's was definitely the most professional, well kept, and friendliest employees. I needed to have my ruby and diamond bracelet’s latch repaired. I brought it over to Mark Diamonds Jewelers. Sandra took care to check the entire bracket to make sure there were no other loose areas of the bracelet. They estimated the repair a couple of days before Christmas however they were able to do the repair in less time and at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them for repairs or new jewelry purchases. Very friendly and courteous staff.

The courteous staff at Mark Diamond's offered to custom make the ring for me at a very reasonable price. Joe takes the time to really listen to what you want. I did not feel any pressure. I am a return customer. I have had a ring custom designed with 3 generations of diamonds. I had an extra diamond and wanted a certain design. I was able to find the design, more or less, in the store. My diamond was able to be added to the purchased necklace and it was exactly what I wanted. Recently I have purchased 2 rings for everyday wear. I was unable to purchase them at the same time that they were on sale, but Joe worked with me, and again, I was able to get what I wanted. The sales staff really is genuine.

I can't recommend this place enough. I worked with Joe through the process of getting an engagement ring purchased and he was extremely helpful through the entire process. When we came back to get the band, they worked with the ring maker to get us the best possible price, as well as getting it done with a quick turn around time so my fiancee could have her ring back before the holidays. My wife created a custom 3 gemstone ring design, and had it crafted out of country. Upon arrival it was much too small for my finger. Because of the intricate design and engraving on the band, it seemed like making the ring bigger would ruin those designs. This is the only jeweler I will EVER go to. I had my engagement and wedding rings (not purchased at Mark Diamond's) resized here after another jeweler (Jared ) absolutely butchered them. Not only was the work done faster than expected, but both rings look completely new - as if they were always that size. Ellen and Heather were absolutely lovely. UPDATE: About six months after I got my ring sized I wanted to go just a bit smaller. The folks here were amazingly kind and had my ring back to me in two days. It looks brand-out-of-box new. Platinum is perfect and the craftsmanship is flawless!

I had an excellent experience with Mark Diamond's! I'm a little slow in writing this review, but it is well deserved. I had gone in on to size a watch with my girlfriend and she noticed a necklace that Mark Diamond's was selling to benefit Animal Humane. She was very taken by the necklace because it reminded her of her dog that she adopted from Animal Humane. I return later in the week to purchase the necklace and Joe Mares helps me with purchase. Well a series of unfortunate events follow and my car gets stolen with the necklace still hidden in the center console, because I was not able to sneak it inside to hide it. Since my girlfriend really liked the necklace, I go back to Mark Diamond's with every intention of buying another necklace. Joe Mares helped me again and recognized me, since it had only been a couple days since I purchased the first necklace. I told him about he week I had been having and that I wanted to purchase another necklace. They didn't have the necklace in the front of the store, but he goes to the back to look for one. He returns a couple minutes later, says that he found one last necklace, hands me the box and says that it is mine to take free of charge! I was shocked because they were willing to give me this necklace for free, when I was more than willing to pay for it. Whereas any other store would have been more than willing to jump on another sale, Mark Diamond's is in a class of their own for the customer service and generosity! It was one of those great moments in life where you know there are still truly amazing people and business out there! I can't thank Joe Mares and Mark Diamond's Jewelers enough for their actions. I consider this a great place to do business and will certainly be a repeat customer!

A Number of years ago my wedding ring was stolen. Thankfully, it was insured. I had a picture in my head of a unique ring and wondered if they could design it for the amount of money I had? I recently took my engagement ring in to be resized, and while the ring hadn't been purchased through them, they went above and beyond to make sure I felt as though I was the most important client they had. When they asked how urgently I needed my work done and they explained they had received a lot of orders recently, I told them it was my engagement ring and they immediately assured me they would get it done as quick as possible so I wouldn't be without it for too long. My father-in-law recommended Mark Diamond to my now husband when he went to look for my engagement ring. He initially worked with Ellen Diamond, who skillfully helped him out when I gave the wrong ring size (whoops!). He was very happy with the ring and the service so we returned for his wedding band months later. Joe Mares helped us find a fantastic matching band and the whole process went very smoothly. At the time we considered getting a wedding band for me that matched my Tacori engagement ring, but it was too pricey for us. We did not feel pressured in the least, which we really appreciated. We moved away from Albuquerque a couple of years ago but still have family in the area. While visiting over Christmas my husband surprised me by taking me back to Mark Diamond to finally get my matching wedding band. We were greeted very warmly and Joe actually remembered us. He helped us find the matching band and basically took care of everything. I had to part with my engagement ring for a month because it was sent to Tacori to be matched with the band (Joe also sent my husband’s band along as well to be cleaned and polished). We were a little nervous about doing this process long distance, but everything worked out perfectly. When they were ready, Joe had the rings overnighted to us and checked to make sure we would be home to receive them. My new wedding band matched perfectly with the engagement ring, which looked brand new (so did my husband’s). Unfortunately, it was too small. This was my own fault—my ring size had gone up and I had just gotten used to my tight engagement ring, but wearing it together with the band made it was very obvious that they were both too tight. I was really mad at myself and was going to start calling around to jewelers in my area when I figured I should just call Joe and ask him his advice first. And I’m so glad I did! He took care of everything. He sent me a shipping label and had the ring resized and back to me in under a week. We have had such a great experience with Joe and the rest of the staff at Mark Diamond. Even though we live out of state now, the next time we’re in the market for fine jewelry we’ll do our shopping at Mark Diamond.

I’m not one to write reviews, but I had to for them. I can not say enough good things about my experience here. My family is currently in the middle of moving and Joe and their jeweler resized my rings over night and got them to me just before I left town! I was in shock, thinking surely I’d have to wait a week or two and come back to get my rings, but Joe and his family made me a priority. They treated me with such kindness and gave me every discount available on their already reasonably priced services. I was a bit hesitant getting my rings resized in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Joe and his team are taking all the necessary precautions and were very thorough to prevent the spread of the virus and to keep their customers safe. Mark Diamond = Above and Beyond - always. When we went to the other local jeweler "that can make diamonds a part of your life" with a custom idea we were a tad shocked to walk away with nothing but 'NO' - so I ventured across town to Mark Diamond on Paseo del Norte at Wyoming. Upon dishing the deal on an idea for a ring for my wife, they called up designs and set about adding in innovation per instruction. All this while displaying the designs on a large screen for my viewing pleasure. I ordered and surprised my wife with a wonderful eternity ring. So when my watch (a Tag I wear every day) needed a new battery I went there. But this time the replacement and pressure seal didn't go to plan, the watch kept losing time. Instead of making excuses they took it back and redid the job at no cost. Still the watch would miss time :( but again Mark Diamond jumped on the chance to make good and gave the TAG a complete clean and oil at no charge. Can't beat local when shopping is this much fun, especially when they can match online prices.

I took my finance's ring to Mark's Diamond and had a great experience. She has very small fingers, had to go down 4 sizes, the first time it was too loose, so they remeasured and decreased the size again (at their cost) and it fit much better. Couldn't tell at all and very reasonable prices. The owners and staff are friendly and are happy to work with you if you have a problem. For Christmas my fiancée took one of my old heavy mans white gold ring to them and had it increased (I gained a bit from 19) and it's beautiful, fit perfectly the first time, looked good as new, they cleaned it up and pricing was good considering they had to add 3.5 sizes in white gold. Can't tell and we both love our rings. My next jewellery purchase will be from them due to their outstanding customer service. Please people don't listen to these reviews, talk to the staff, and if you have an issue they will take care of you. I also had a Citizen Eco Drive watch that was a gift I took to them, they sent it off to citizen and found out the previous repair broke the water seal and damaged the interior. It was too costly to repair (due to taking it to a cheap shop previously) but did not charge me a dime, and I'm sure it cost them time and money to ship it and have it returned as I did not fix it. I have the watch now just a momento and a great experience with this company.

Mark Diamonds Jewelers is the best. It is a classy store. Everything is neat and clean; the staff is friendly, knowledgable and caring; and the workmanship is superb. I have taken three items of jewelry into the store for repair. One was an antique ring which had been in the family for several generations; and needed major repair. I was amazed with how great it looked when I picked it up. The repair was not only seamless; but the ring appeared to have been restored to its original condition. The pricing for all three items was reasonable; in fact, for one of them, a necklace, there was no charge at all. All of the work was completed in a timely manner.

Last month, I had the most wonderful customer service experience at Mark Diamond's Jewelers on Paseo Del Norte & Wyoming. A couple years ago, I inherited my mother's large and bizarre and eclectic collection of jewelry. She loved "fleas" and yard sale treasures, and thought of herself as a one-woman Antique Road Show, buying and selling and trading all the time. Recently, I unearthed a lovely, very unusual, retro (antique?) 20s-style men's wrist watch from her collection. My husband just fell in love with it. The watch wasn't running and the leather band was aged, flaking, and scratchy on the underside. I hoped Mark Diamond's might be able to help me get it working and replace or repair the band as a surprise for my husband. I knew nothing about where it came from or how old it was. I didn't even know what metal it was nor if the leather on the band was genuine. I'd never been in the store before despite passing by it all the time. I am so glad I went! They spent so much time researching and explaining the mysterious watch to me. They worked hard to find the right band for it, checking with all of their suppliers. They pointed out a very very tiny missing part that could have posed a risk for the band falling off. They immediately tested it to see if we could ignore the problem, and set my mind at ease that it wasn't necessary to replace the part to make the watch wearable. They replaced the battery and we celebrated that it still worked after God only KNOWS how many years in one of my mother's jewelry boxes. It looks like I'll be having to get a custom leather band made because the watch and its manufacturer really ARE that unusual and hard to track down. But you can be SURE I'll be going back to Mark Diamond's again and again. That wrist watch was doubly important to me because it belonged to my recently deceased mother and because my husband, who has worn the same watch since I met him, really wanted to wear it. They treated it and me exactly right. PS: There's more! A couple week's later I took in another watch that's been in garage storage for 14 years to get the battery replaced so my now teenager could start wearing it. The watch belonged to her birth mother that died when she was an infant. So, again, very sentimental and important. It has interchangeable bands. They put on the band she wanted to wear and replaced the battery. We had dropped it with them while we went next door for a hair appt. They brought it over to us in the salon when done but would not accept payment from me because it didn't make the watch run. The oil inside had dried up and was crusty, preventing it from moving. Instead, they gave me an estimate for cleaning it out and/or replacing the mechanism. Again, the most caring and courteous of treatment for me, my teen, and that special watch. I went here looking for the perfect engagement ring for my now fiance, and I found it quickly. Right when I was inside I was helped, I told them my situation and they instantly went into showing me their selection. When I wasn't able to find one that they had in the store, I was able to watch as my ring was designed on a CAD styled program right in front of me on a huge screen. This allowed me to then design the perfect ring using some of the pre-built ones. They also gave me plenty of tips of what to avoid as it can cause some problems in the future. I also needed this custom ring in around 5 weeks and the common time is 6 weeks, and they had it done in 4. Then afterwords when the ring needed to be resized and my fiance obviously did not want to give it up for too long, they had it completed the same day we dropped it off. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

It was serviced and obviously the watchmaker spent a GREAT amount of time working on the cosmetics of my trusted timepiece. It was returned to me in an almost unrecognizable condition. It actually looked new. Not even a single, tiny scratch was to be found anywhere. My fiancée went into Mark's originally over a year ago having not had any luck with finding a unique and customizable engagement ring to propose with anywhere else in town. Although it was all a surprise to me, he said that the time it was the only place that he felt comfortable after having been to at least 4 other places, and that he knew immediately that their selection was what he was looking for. Of course, I was thrilled with his choice and with their flexibility as he was able to modify a beautiful Tacori setting with the diamond style he knew I would love in a matter of days! But it certainly didn't end there. After having purchased a wedding band from them some months later I had noticed something seemed to be wrong with the skin on my hand. I knew that I had lifelong eczema, but something was definitely wrong, specifically on my ring finger. After going to the doctor and scrounging up my old contact dermatitis allergy results, I was devastated to learn I was allergic to something in the white gold alloy/rhodium plating on Tacori's white gold setting. I thought that I would have to alter, or altogether give up this ring that I was so in love with. However, Mark Diamond's went absolutely above and beyond to work with Tacori and negotiate to get me a replacement in a metal that I knew I was not allergic to, and in only ~4wks!! We also learned that Tacori, while offering to exchange the ring evenly, still wound up charging Mark's for the labor costs, the likes of which never made it to us at all! I am so grateful for the team at Mark Diamond's Jewelers, especially Joe, who not only stepped in when they truly didn't have to, but kept us in the know every step of the way, footed the rest of the bill from Tacori, and presented me with a ring that I can't believe I may love even more than the first! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! If I could give 100 stars I would! Absolutely go to Mark Diamonds for your next jewelry purchase, I 200% recommend it!

Everyone here is wonderful but Joe is the best! I was proposed to on Christmas (something I’d waited a few years for) and the ring was almost 3 sizes too big. We were leaving a few days later for a little 4 day road trip. I wasn’t ready to let the ring go just yet and wanted to at least get to enjoy it during our trip before getting it resized. Kind of silly I know but I’d been waiting a while for this proposal. I had called several jewelers and the ones that were open were estimating 3-5 weeks to resize. One lady had suggested buying an adjuster piece but after looking on Amazon, only one adjuster set would maybe get here before we left. Then I called Mark Diamonds. They estimated about 2 weeks so, feeling defeated, I took the ring in thinking at least it’d be ready shortly after our return. Joe put a little metal adjuster thing on so I could wear it on our trip which made me extremely happy. Once we returned, I dropped the ring off and they had it resized in about a week. A few weeks later I noticed the band had separated on one side and took it to Joe and he fixed it within a few days. I will be having them resize the wedding band as well and plan to purchase a few items from them for my daughters. I never thought I could love a jewelry store but here we are. You guys are amazing!
