I'll be the first to admit I don't know a ton about jewelry, but when I knew I wanted to buy an engagement ring. I started to do some research. I found Crown Jewels & Coin and showed up the next day. They were very welcoming and more than willing to answer any questions I had (which was a lot). The prices are very fair and Mora and Autumn were incredibly helpful and pleasant to deal with. The store is locally owned and operated. It has a family business feel and I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of despite my lack of jewelry knowledge. For me jewelry wasn't a gift item I considered before walking into Crown Jewels & Coin but now I consider it for all big occasions.

Brace, I think his name was, was very helpful! Spent almost a half hour helping me fine the perfect ring for my daughter to replace1 that was stolen. Plus he helped me fund a delicate Native American bracelet for myself. And as I paid, he asked Frank what they'd charge to size her ring if needs be. He actually said he'd charge the same whether they had to make it smaller or larger whereas they usually charge more to make it larger!! So nice to this old retired school nurse...

FAIR AND PROFESSIONAL!!! I was searching for a reputable establishment to sell a portion of my legacy coin collection. A family member urged me to try Crown Jewel & Coin. I called and spoke with their coin guru, Earl. We discussed my collection for a bit and I was invited to the office. I texted Earl when I was close to the office and was met in the parking lot by Earl and security. I have sold gold coins, my Rolex and art. I have never had to haggle; their offers or advice are always on point! When I leave, Earl and security escort me back to my vehicle. This is a classy business. Breathtaking ! Crown Jewels sells some of the most beautiful jewelry I have ever seen and the prices were very reasonable! Mora greeted me as soon as I walked in. Their team made it all happen! My sweetheart was in hospital here after a difficult surgery. I brought in a stone and needed to find an appropriate setting. I had a gold coin I presented as trade. Kaye, the sales clerk, was very helpful and understanding. She went deep into the showcase and found an antique white gold ring that was perfect for my gal. Only one problem: I was only in town until the end of the week which didn't give the goldsmith enough lead time. Kaye was able to work this out, with the ring being done on Friday. Prosper, the young counter man, gift wrapped it nicely. I also walked out with a couple hundred bucks change from the gold coin trade. They could have easily kept that portion and called it "labor." I was extremely pleased with my purchase, and recommend these honest jewelers to everyone. Thanks Crown, and thank you Kaye!!! My sweetheart loved the gift.

Best kept secret in the jewelry business. I originally went to Crown to sell some gold coins for a family member, but I discovered they had a lovely selection of new and used jewelry. I returned recently looking for a vintage piece. Not only did I find a lovely gift but also a ring for me. I was shocked by the crazy reasonable prices. I’m not a coin collector. However I was responsible for selling about 35 pounds of loose coins collected by my parents. Fortunately I found Lou Norris and Micah at Crown Jewel and Coin. They were both exceedingly patient with me going through the entire set, coin by coin, and explained in detail how they determined values and made their margins. They were consistent in their honesty. I checked the prices they were offering me on two separate coin databases and they were generally spot on. I came away with a great deal of respect for Lou in particular and felt like I received a very fair deal. From my perspective, high marks.

My first experience selling scrap jewelery. I used to work for a reseller and I asked if they bought loose gemstones a few days prior and they said yes. I packed a smattering of gold, silver and gemstones only to be told they only buy "diamonds" and "really big" gem stones, which is fine. I was very impressed with the first person who helped me (despite seeming annoyed that I was there) because he could look at my gems in the packaging and pass on them. While I was sitting there, I saw two men come in with native pieces, one being told he could get $10 for a heavy silver ring, and one was a beautiful zuni needle point cross with turquoise, and I think they offered him $8. I walked away with about what I was expecting to get for a handful of .925 sterling silver and gold pieces and am satisfied with that. They also had some amazingly beautiful native pieces for a decent price especially over old town and if Im ever in the market for those I'll be sure to stop in. But as someone who has bought directly from the public for 8+ years, including jewelery, the customer service was absolutely a bummer.

We found this place on a whim. Best choice we made! The customer service is outstanding! They treated us including our children kindly and with respect. The point of that is that most places like this would’ve just brushed me off since it was just before closing time. But not Crown Jewels. Toby treated me with 100% respect from the second he greeted me and before he knew what I was there for. He showed me a few stones and then brought the manager out (Kathy). She educated me on the different stone qualities as well as the different types of certificates. This way I could make an EDUCATED decision. Long story short, they’ve earned a life customer. The ring that was being upgraded was my mother’s (who passed when I was young) and she made sure that the staff put a rush on the work being done so we would get it back in not time at all. 09 June 2021 Crown Jewels and Coin (in ABQ) is locked on! No wonder they’re busy all the time and have an overall 4.9-stars rating (out of 456 reviews). That’s a hair away from a perfect 5.0 review! If you’re OCD about your watch collection like I am, why bother talking your valuable collection anywhere else? I had to get some new batteries (x4) installed in my Casio Pathfinder and some links added to a Zodiac watch and Crown Jewels and Coin took care of me on the spot! I thought sure I’d be leaving my watches with them overnight, but no – they jumped on ‘em right away and 20-minutes later I walked out with two completely functional watches – thanks, Crown Jewels and Coin! Even though I’d already been taken care of by employee Tobias Ramos, it seemed that the rest of the employees at Crown Jewels and Coin made a point of asking me if I needed to be helped – now that’s grade A service! Tobias Ramos took care of me today, but another employee (Rose) took grrreat care of me yesterday when I stopped in for my first visit. This place is great and I will be back! My first experience was in September and it was amazing! I got a great deal on my Fiancee's engagement ring, the sales people were friendly, It was all around great. When it was time for me to pick out my ring, I went there and found one that I liked, but couldn't get right away because I was still paying off my Fiancee's. A few weeks went by and I went back just to see if it was still there, and it was, but I still couldn't afford it so I wanted to wait 2 more weeks. When I went back the last time the ring I wanted was gone, I was super upset, but I understand it was beautiful and a great price! The manager, Kathy kept making comments about how if I wanted it so much then I should have got it then and basically made me feel horrible about missing out on it. I tried to push it to the side and worked with another employee who helped me find one of the other 2 rings that I liked. I decided on one and once we found out the cost, I wanted to see if I could possibly get it any lower (you got to try, right?) nope, and Kathy just kept making comments about the previous ring and how I missed out so I left, upset and ring less. After talking it over with my fiancee we decided to put the sour grapes to the side, because she is really the only person I had a problem with and go back and purchase it. I purchased it and asked for it to be sized. My fiancee went in to pick it up, Kathy did not want to give it to her because her name was not the primary, it was written on the work order slip however. Kathy did not even give a ring box for it.My fiancee brought it to me it was in this little bag. TLDR: Kathy has terrible customer service skills and made someone cry who should have been having an enjoyable time. No other issues with any other employees.

I don’t even know where to start. I originally bought a set from this location when it was Krueger’s. I was looking to trade and or sell that set. Every and I mean every chain Jewelry store in town told me my diamond had been chipped! I was so upset and discouraged and believing it was true. One Saturday I thought I would call Crown and see what they could do for me since they took over this location. I first spoke with Michael and he was so sweet and kind all while I was having a melt down and in tears in the phone. He told me to come in. So I did reluctantly. He greeted me and was ever so kind. Then he brought Frank over to assist me better and let me tell you....Frank made me believe there are still good honest people out there. He addressed all my concerns, proved to me my diamond was not chipped and in very good condition. Needless to say a week later I walked out with the most amazingly beautiful ring! My fiance bought my engagement ring here last September, and it is absolutely gorgeous, and he commented about how helpful and considerate they were when he made his purchase. I had had my ring resized in San Francisco while I was temporarily living there, and while that company did a fine job, my ring was still about one size too big. Then in December, I lost one of the small stones in the band of my ring, and when I finally brought it in to be repaired in February they were able to reset the stone and size my ring down for an INCREDIBLY reasonable price. They were timely, considerate, and kind, and my fiance and I would both agree that the customer service we received from Crown, as well as the product, was absolutely stellar. Tony assisted me, and Kaye assisted my fiance. Hopefully neither one of us never needs to buy another engagement ring, but we will absolutely return for our other jewelry and jewelry repair needs!

Went in to fix a loose diamond on my wedding ring (previous estimate from another jeweler for $200) they fixed my ring better than ever for only $80! And I sold them some old jewelry so I only ended up paying $20 for real quality work. Incredibly secure, you have to ring a bell to be let in and they store your things in a vault. You also have to show ID. Cathy is the best, been in business for a very long time and is incredibly knowledgeable about Native American jewelry.

I was assisted by the store manager Kathy. I had taken a sterling braided bracelet that my mother had given me and was sadly broken as it was force on my mother wrist at her viewing by the funeral home. They paid for it to be fixed at a jewelry store in Santa Fe, but unfortunately broke again for the repair was inadequate. They refused to make it right. I took them a video of a ring I wanted created and their master designer Dave made it not only identical but perhaps even better than the original. Toby was my salesman and he was super nice and not pushy or anything negative that we think of when it comes to salesmen. I rarely write reviews -- partially via laziness/indifference (I'm a work in progress!) but I feel compelled to share my top notch experience when ultimately purchasing my fiance's ring here. Despite the above mentioned laziness, I took this quest very seriously and planned to visit at least four places with this place being the last on my list for no particular reason. And what's crazy is I nearly didn't even go because I was more or less sold on another ring. Still, I stuck to the plan (patience, effort) but in the back of my mind sort of entered with the idea of this being more of a courtesy visit: to appease my previous determination to really dot all my I's/cross all my T's etc. Call it fate or whatever, but I was immediately impressed with the service/vibe of this place. I described my situation and what I was looking for and was blown away by what they presented: basically exactly the ring I wanted and (most importantly) offered me an epic deal: appraised at nearly double what I paid for it, which was simply the best value by a mile compared to other places -- even the ring I was planning to purchase elsewhere. Still, I didn't dive in right away, I left and took some time to think about it/do some more research but soon enough concluded this was the obvious choice. The manager (Kathy, I believe) is simply amazing and that clearly sets the standard for the whole place. It also warrants mention that Lucas, in particular, was specifically helpful responding promptly and professionally to all my questions (plenty of dumb ones, lol). Overall, they really make you feel special here -- the same feeling evoked within my lady when proposing with this gorgeous ring. Highly recommended!
