I just moved to Florida, and was blown away (and discouraged) to see how much more my auto insurance would be. I was on the hunt for about a week for reasonable rates. Well, little did I know I was blessed when I received a call from Agent Matt Cumby. Not only did he offer me reasonable rates, but he went through my coverages with me in detail to ensure I understood what I was getting/buying so that he was writing a policy to fulfill my needs. I was so pleased, I went ahead and converted my renter’s insurance too. He gave me the same service and I couldn’t be happier. I’m actually excited to have insurance with State Farm now! Matt is so helpful, he did such awesome job! I was trying to transfer my out of state vehicle to FL and I didn’t know I must have a FL auto insurance until I got to the county tax collector. So I was sitting outside the collector and calling all over the State Farm local offices to get my insurance transferred at the last minute. I was lucky to get anyone help me until I finally called Matt. After understanding my frustrated situation, he just sent a temporary ID card and insurance binder through email in about 5 minutes after we talked over the phone. Then after I came out from DMV, I stopped by Matt’s office to go over the insurance details with him since the price looks a bit high and I would like to know what is causing all that. And again, Matt continued his great service and let me hold until another 4 days to allow him to contact my precious insurance office and try to lower my rate! I never shop around for new insurance or get new quote merely for the convenience of avoiding the hassle of switching but I got a wild hair and reached out to Jim Cornwell State Farm for a car insurance quote. Holy cow I didn’t realize how easy they could make the whole process for me. Long story short I found out I’ve been waaay overpaying with Progressive. Anthony P. walked me through their plans and policies, compared them to what I currently had through progressive, and saved me loads of money! Over $100 a month and even better I now Have More coverage, life insurance and roadside assistance tacked on still for 100 less than progressive. I didn’t feel pressured to keep adding more coverage, they simply explained all my options and the savings sealed the deal. Anthony could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Matt helped finalize all the paper work and he was also extremely helpful and again they couldn’t have made the process any easier. I was in and out in 30 minutes. My previous agent messed up the transfer of the policy it was a nightmare. It took months to fix. So first of all I'm a firemen by trade and a Floridian by choice so when it comes to insurance I've seen the worst when it comes to people getting in accidents without the proper coverage or without uninsured motorist coverage. So when it came to insuring my 2018 Chevy 1500 Z71 (my baby) and my 2018 Honda Forman Rubicon ATV (also my first child) I wanted to make sure it was it was done right to protect myself and my property at a price point I'm happy with. I was referred to Matt Cumby by word of mouth. Matt was easy to work with, knowledgeable, and you can always get him on the phone. I never felt like he was trying to "sell" me anything. I ended up getting more coverage for my truck at less than what I was paying with "flo". All in all great service and very happy.

I am so pleased with the Top Notch Service I receive from Jim Cornwell State Farm! Especially form Ashley and Rachel! They are so kind and knowledgeable and always answer my many questions. My car was stolen the day before Christmas. I was absolutely devastated and both of them made the entire experience much less painful. From the rental to obtaining a Power of Attorney in lieu of the Title (since the title was reported stolen along with the car) The car was not recovered until after State Farm had already fulfilled the claim. I was able to call the salvage yard and they mailed some of the belongings that were in the car and State Farm covered the mailing. I purchased a new car and my rate went up slightly, although my friends said it would double! Ashley and Rachel really live up to the motto. Like a good neighbor State Farm is there! Upon my return to Tampa in August 2017, I immediately contacted Jim Cornwell's office because they are family after 31 years and I wanted to secure both renters and flood insurance, especially since we were in Hurricane season. I had the great fortune of having Rachael Camey assigned to me to write up my new policies for my home. In addition to be extremely knowledgeable as it relates to FEMA and all the 2.5 million "what if" questions I asked, she was incredibly compassionate and patient with some of the concerns I expressed. I just remember feeling grateful for the generous time and help Rachael provided me that August day in her office. I also felt valued as a client. Low and behold in early September, Florida is put on alert for Hurricane Irma. I already had my renters insurance but flood insurance does not kick in for 30 days. Once again I am sitting in Rachael's office practically in tears since my "what if" questions were now turning into my reality. When I say Rachael was the calm in my storm, this is the understatement of the century! Furthermore, Rachael expressed how the Cornwell State Farm team was going to be there for me post Hurricane Irma even if they did not have any electricity yet by setting up shop post storm to help us! I have had State Farm Insurance for 50 years; I have no real complaints about the company. My issue has always been The Agents office and staff. Mr. Cornwell has a large office with many associates. If you buy insurance through this office you will likely never meet Mr. Cormwell, and you will be dealing with an associate. In the 30 years of dealing with this office, the weakest link is the staff....it seems the place is a revolving door for staff turn over. This household has 10 to 12 policies thru this office for home and business needs. I rely on the associate to understand my needs for coverage, but that cant happen when the staff turnover is so great. I have threatened to move to another agent, but I stay at Cornwell's mainly because I havent found a good alternative. I keep hoping the situation improves, but after 30 years of the same...I dont have much hope. A year ago, I was assigned another new associate...lets see how long this one lasts....LOL
