Someone needs to give Denice Nelson a raise at EPB&B! She was an amazing help and resource for our family when we had an issue with our home insurance. She isn't even our normal insurance agent that we talk with, she was just covering for her coworker and really helped us out. On a Friday afternoon, closing in on the end of the day, she spent hours helping us; even going above and beyond to being on a 4-way call with us, our bank, and insurance company. Donna has been helping us for years with multiple home and liability policies (the houses being in 4 different states which adds complication). Donna is highly responsive and knowledgable. She asks all the right questions, which helps us figure out what we need, and then presents us with multiple policy options, all in a very detailed, user friendly format. Donna is as pleasant and nice as she is smart and capable. When we moved away from Portland I was scared to ask if she could still help us in fear the answer would be no. *Full Disclosure* I am an employee of this company and I have had my personal insurance business with Elliott, Powell, Baden and Baker for the last five years. Because I am familiar with how insurance companies work, I understand and accept the rate increases that often come with policy period renewals. Frank has been really great! we were having very serious issues with our previous company and were in need of coverage urgently. Kathy at Elliott, Powell, Baden & Baker is amazing! I ordered a new car, called her, gave her the VIN # and had my insurance card emailed to me with in an hour. All I have to do is call in when my car arrives and she'll activate the account for me. Also, I was rear ended in my previous car a few months ago. Getting everything taken care of could not have been easier. Other than driving the car to the auto body shop and picking it up, I didn't have to do anything. Awesome customer service.

Cindy McGowan was amazing! I was supposed to sign my first commercial lease in less than 24 hours and learned last minute that I needed commercial liability insurance before the landlord would allow me to take occupancy. I was a little lost. At 3:30pm in the afternoon I called EPBB as referred by a colleague. I got a real person on the phone immediately, and they kindly transferred me to Cindy. She asked me a few simple questions, walked and talked me through what I needed. She let me know she could help me secure an appropriate policy, but that it might take a day or two to process. She underpromised how soon she could deliver. Before 9am the next morning, Cindy emailed me a policy quote which was comprehensive and complete, and reasonably priced. She also offered to email the certificate of insurance direct to my agent so he could supply it to my new landlord. Thank you Cindy McGowan and EPBB! Outstanding service. Highly Recommend.

*Home and Auto policies.* *1 year+ as a customer.* I have been using EPBB for over a year now and I like to make sure my reviews for a place of service such as insurance is always after I have spent a sufficient amount of time with them. When rating insurance agencies (especially since I have previously worked in insurance) I look at customer service, how you are taken care of in the midst of an accident/claim, cost, communication, and honesty. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CLAIMS: Thankfully, I have not been in an any accident since I started with EPBB, so I cannot report on that end. However, the customer service has been impeccable since I first called Denice from out of state to ask for quotes before moving to Oregon. She has been extremely helpful even with understanding Oregon-specific insurance policies. Yes, you read that right... I was able to secure my insurance from 2000+ miles away with ease and comfort that I was making the right decision. That's huge! I have popped into the office before to see Denice and when she was out of office that day, another agent seamlessly helped me without skipping a beat. COST: When shopping for insurance, I checked many places and am knowledgeable to ask the right questions since I have worked in this field before. I narrowed down between EPBB and another company. The other company was actually slightly cheaper (by about $40 a month); however, EPBB had slightly better coverage and I was unsure if I could trust the other agent on the price remaining the same, whereas Denice had assured me that in 6 months, my price would actually be reduced based on a break she could give me for my age. Sure enough it was reduced on my next policy just because I had a birthday. The agents at EPBB seem to be very knowledgeable about ins and outs of the policies and if there is something they don't know, they will figure it out. COMMUNICATION AND HONESTY: This is big for me and EPBB has definitely earned 5 stars on this. If there is a change, Denice lets me know and all the details of why. I have referred 3 other people/families to EPBB now and Denice is always kind, communicative, and gives them the truth of what she can offer whether it is the best option or not instead of saying what they want to hear or fudging some details in order to make a sale. She does not disappoint AND from what I have heard from those I have referred, she IS the best option and has saved them hundreds of dollars. They are doing something right here at this agency because the agents all seem happy and are very helpful and they have easily earned 5 stars in my book. I have used Denice in my time here, but as I mentioned above, other agents have proven to be competent and kind. So don't be dismayed if Denice is unavailable, EPBB is amazing!

I recently received outstanding customer service from Diana Van Dyke of Elliott, Powell, Baden & Baker and was so impressed I wanted to share my story. My husband and I took possession of our newly leased car on Monday, 11/21/16. Calling EPB&B to add the car to our insurance policy slipped my mind until Wednesday, 11/23/16 (the day before Thanksgiving). We had just returned home from being out of the country for two months and were preoccupied and in catch-up mode. Upon calling I learned that EPB&B's office had already shut down for the holiday weekend. After getting in touch with Marc Baker, President and CEO, I was relieved when he told me he'd help me out right away and get us covered. He texted Diana and within minutes I received a call from her. She had just finished her Thanksgiving grocery shopping. She got all the information she needed from me and said we were covered and that she'd backdate it to the date we took possession of our car.
