Asked what he needed to, didn't try to sell me on a hundred different things, respected my time and best of all, I had a great, affordable policy in place and in effect within a half-hour. The quote was much much less than USA... They farm the RV insurance out to Progressive. I love USAA, but their cost was beyond my budget. I'll update my review in 6 months.

I really don't know what to say. I was switched around from one CS person to another based on my phone number. I was never asked about my location because I moved from California to North Carolina. I had to speak to 3 different people before I was able to get the information I needed. Maybe the CS people need to ask more questions so they can give out the correct information to begin with..???

The call was to check on RV insurance for a new RV. The representative was extremely cheerful, knowledgeable, and polite! The rate she quoted was better than my previous insurer, which I had some expensive disagreements with over a claim. Due to her attitude, I thought to expand the quote. With each item quoted, not only did that quote beat my current coverage, it lowered the original RV quote! I do not know about this insurance company as an insurance carrier. The agent helping me neglected to inform me of the cost of the roadside assistance from the beginning. Jackie also neglected to inform me that I washing paying for one years worth of coverage instead of 6 months. To me, this seems deceptive, especially when the agent doesn't return my calls! Where is the customer service? Progressive Insurance seems to be cheaper also.

Awesome people who take the time to make sure to save you money and understand what you have. Well going to add that I later cancelled my policy because they lied. After carefully going through everything with the wonderful lady on the phone and setting things up, they changed payment dates and added a late fee. I get paid once a month, I get very little, so it is very important for me to be sure that payments are due at the first of the month. It's sad.

The sales person was very pushy and talked over me a lot. She continuously tried to bundle services that I did not need in order to get me a "discounted rate"for my auto insurance before actually running my vehicle history, which I knew would raise my rate. As I tried to explain to her, bundling to other types of insurance that I did not need with my auto ended up making the payment higher because of my vehicle history. I ended up with a great deal and coverage, but that was only having to tell her to just be quiet and let me ask the questions I needed to ask. Very exhausting conversation.

I had such a horrible time at DMV. When I called National General Insurance, the the representative immediately helped me find the cheapest policy possible, and saved me hundreds of dollars. After that I had even more trouble at DMV. I waited hours for them to find the right form. My agent helped me through it all. He called me back immediately. That is about all I can say at this point, but I don't think we will have any problems. We haven't had a claim with our other insurance Co. in over 10 years. But they didn't want to cut us any slack at all. Oh-well.

I purchased insurance through Metromile since I don't drive my car too much and National General was the insurance provider. After causing some damage to my car, I was very wary of the service I would receive after going through the reviews online. But, I was pleasantly surprised. The claims adjuster arrived the day after I filed the claim and the insurance check was mailed out the next day. Overall, I received my claim check within a week of filing the claim and the amount provided was sufficient to meet the estimated provided by most repair shops I took my car to. The only issue I had was getting in touch with customer service. It took me around 45 minutes to get in touch with a representative. But, everything after that was handled excellently.

National general insurance is a great auto insurance provider, my only issue is the weekend customer service coverage area. About a year ago I totaled my car on a Saturday and basically had to wait until Monday to start the claim process (or speak with an actual rep/agent). I'm a NC resident and it seemed as though on the weekend only certain things could be done based on the state your in, which I thought was unfortunate and inconvenient considering the circumstance. However, the claim was handled professionally and in a timely matter which is why I'm still a loyal customer and fan of the company, not to mention the incredible rates they offer! Get a quote, seeing is believing!

I had to re write one of my policy (property) because it was wrong for the last 8 years Thanks God that nothing happen to my house... otherwise It could be a disaster for me after that. One star down because of that . Second I was one the with there CS(customer service) I had to cancel one of the policy because it was wrong and It has been 5 days that I don't know what is going one is it canceled do they need more doc. when they are going to send me the check if at all... (a simple email follow up would be sufficient but nothing) Lastly while I was going over my policy's and change few things I have asked for an auto policy as well (I was told that I can get very good discount for multiple policy's) it took them 5 business days to final get that quote. Not a bad company good prices but they can work a bit more over there costumer service.

So National General pulled thru for me and ended up sending a check for my food spoilage Thank you!! When customers depend on their insurance and feel safe when devastation hits this is who we need to trust our insurance companies pulling thru .. I will change my review from a 1 to a 4 for pulling thru!! I will not sign again with this company again my food spoiled because of power outage from tropical storm isaias so I knew my insurance covered but apparently they changed the policy from 2011 where was no deductible on food spoilage just a $500 cap and outage did not need to come from your home they just sent a check. No problems. No deducuctibles on food spoilage either which there should not be. So this time 8 yrs later I put in claim and they say $500 deductible and power outage needs to come from your home not a city wide power outage... I am very disappointed in this company I'm searching for a new company that cares about their customers. I personally think they did this because of what happened in 2011 so their customers will not benefit from power outage a spoiled food. They put a new policy so they dont have to cut checks for customers when the power goes out. I'm very very unhappy. You want the insurance payments but dont want to pay in state of emergency. Shameful!

National General has been a pleasure to do business with. There are a few things that could be worked on but what business doesn't need some improvement? I think you should be able to link accounts. I have an auto policy and a separate policy for a scooter. It would be helpful if I could go between policies to make payments or changes. Instead I have to log out of one policy then go to the other. There are businesses that offer different credit cards and you can link those cards online to toggle between to make payments. Other than that, this is a great company with people who seem to genuinely care.

I got a quote online one of many different companies and lets just say my previous insurance was of a reptilious variety... national general not only beet the quote by 200$ but had MORE coverage. The agent called me shortly after I did an online quote we went through the policy and was receptive to all questions (I tend to go a but in-depth) was very polite causual but professional and helped make the process quick and easy! My insurance was recently up for renewal and my fiancé has went through National General since we met 6 1/2 years ago, and I was interested in getting on with this insurance company as well. When I went to our local agency to get my insurance switched from Farm Bureau a few years ago, to National General, for some reason they couldn’t get me on with Nat Gen but put me on Penn National, which was fine at the time. When it came time to do my renewal though, I noticed how much more complicated my company made it to do this online, (being I had always just went to the agency in person to do so before now, but it was a weekend this time) and I had just renewed my fiancé’s online with zero problems. That’s when I decided to go back to their site and get a quote, I think it may have been $5 higher than my previous company, but figured that’s only because I’d been with them a few years now, and the ease of paying online or by phone was so much simpler with National General it was worth a $5 increase. I know from paying and renewing my fiancé’s over the years that you can pay by phone also if you can’t get online, and both ways are super simple and non time consuming. I also have to say that the one incident my fiancé had was taken care of with much ease. I definitely recommend this company.
