Steven Jean was the agent I interacted with over the phone, and he was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I had called a number of insurance companies to get "non-owned" auto insurance for my son, but none were willing to help me, as this is an unusual request. Frankly, my first experience with State Farm was not so great, because I did not get immediately appropriate information about my contract with this insurance company. However, after I got in touch with Jonathan Suero (Service Account Manager in State Farm) my experience has chaged. He has had enough patience to listen about my issue (very important!). Moreover, he has explained to me briefly everything that I should know about my bill and the statement which I have received. With his asisstence I paid my monthly bill in a few seconds and received the receipt a few minutes later on my private email. CONCLUSION: Good employees do matter in each company! Patience + knowledge = good experience for each customer and a lot of good recommendations.

I was a Geico auto-insurance customer for 10+ years and never really looked around for a better deal on insurance, even after I bought my apartment last year (I just added on traveler's condo-insurance without much shopping). I recently purchased a second car and saw my auto-insurance rates increase dramatically - I decided it was time to look around. I checked in with the major companies, including AllState, Progressive, and Nationwide. The representatives I dealt with at these other companies simply wanted to take down my info as quickly as possible and pump out a quote without fully explaining what the coverages entailed or determining what I really needed. Then I called Kyong Rhee's State Farm office and dealt with Kelly Qu. She took time to evaluate the coverage I had with Geico, explained the protection that certain coverages provided, and guided me in deciding the optimal amount of coverage I would need. She was also very patient with me in going through various scenarios of quoting my insurance needs. I have a "beater-car" and one that I have more pride in...she took time to go through different levels of collision and comprehensive scenarios on these two cars. She was able to structure better coverage than what I had with Geico, and at a lower premium - a win-win. I reviewed some of the documents later that night and shot her an e-mail with some questions at 10pm (expecting an answer the next day), and got a response back right away. While auto and home insurance may be a commodity business, exemplary service goes a long way. Kyong Rhee and Kelly Qu do not attempt to oversell insurance that you do not need and will take time to understand your needs. They also have a deep understanding of the products they offer (which should be expected from any insurance agency). This is a big difference from my experience at Geico, where my relationship is only based on notes they have on a system because it is unlikely I'd deal with the same person twice (maybe I did, but doubt they remember me), and where they typically try to sell me more insurance products (including ones I didn't need) through sales people who may or may not fully understand the products they're trying to sell. This office is definitely worth a call for insurance needs.

I filled out the form online for a condo homeowner insurance in zip code 10016, and got an email within few hours. I contacted them a couple of times to adjust my quote to match coop requirements, Kelly answered the phone right away each time and sent an updated quote within an hour or so. That was the easiest part of my coop purchase! Price is similar to the other insurance providers I tried. I didn't have to file a claim yet (hopefully never will have to!) so I don't know about the claim process with this agency. I have another property insured through StateFarm (with a different agent) and I had one small claim few years back. StateFarm was very easy to work with.
