After years with a well know insurance company for auto and home, I was presented with significantly higher renewal premiums with no changes on my part. No claims, no accidents and no citations. I understand the cost to repair anything has risen but the premium increases were not acceptable to me. So it was time to look for better rates from another company. Erie insurance was on my list based on reviews I read as well as two family members who are with Erie and happy with their policies. I called American Insurance and spoke with Lauren Sullivan who was very helpful. I explained the coverage I needed and Lauren quickly provided a quote that was significantly less than my current insurance and provided better coverage overall. She was very helpful explaining options and answering my questions and did not try to sell me other coverage beyond what I requested. Lauren gets top marks from me and I look forward to a long relationship with American Insurance and Erie.

I’ve been with Erie Insurance through American Insurance for many years. We insure our vehicles and our home through them and we’ve always had outstanding responses and coverage with no delays or hassles. One person at American Insurance that stands out for her knowledge, helpfulness and friendliness is Stephanie Oursler. She is a perfect example of what customer service means. Stephanie recently helped me through a (to me) semi-complicated insurance requirement from the venue where my daughter will be getting married next month. She took the time to present and fully explained my options. Stephanie is someone you actually enjoy doing business with!

I have had insurance with American for over 20 years. I started with car insurance, renters insurance, and then homeowners insurance. On the occasions I have had a claim, questions, or concerns it has always been handled in a professional matter, always being resolved in a timely matter. Everyone I have ever spoken with have been kind, considerate, and through. I got a quote for cheaper insurance a few months ago but, decided to stay with American because of the quality service I have always received.

Leta Brannon is the best! She is very professional and gives you her full attention so she can listen to your concerns and provide you with the best path forward. We found an issue on my driving history and she was able to get it fixed quickly which resulted in lower rates. After receiving a extremely high renewal rate from an insurance company I was with for almost 20 years, Leta was able to price me comparable insurance and saved me almost $150 a month. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!! Give her a call and you won’t be disappointed.

I have dealt with Deb Schaffer so I can only speak in relation to her but she has been wonderful. She always responds to me in a timely manner and always deals with my questions/issues. I have dealt with a number of insurance companies over many years and this is one of the best agencies I have ever dealt with. Also, their prices are good, which makes it even better. I can't speak to their financial services since I haven't used them but insurance wise, absolute thumbs up.

In general, we shop for insurance every couple of years, just to make sure we're finding the best coverage at a fair rate. This time around, we quoted three companies, but Anthony at American Insurance stood head and shoulders over the others. He was attentive, took the time to learn our business and insurance requirements, and then came back with the best price too. Canceling our existing policies and getting signed up with American was a breeze. But the best was yet to come. When I have questions about the bills or coverage, Stephanie in the office has been extraordinarily helpful. She is knowledgeable, quick to respond, and a true pleasure to deal with. It is remarkable these days to receive such superlative service. I suspect that others in American's office are good too, and I know we won't be shopping for insurance again anytime soon.

It’s great to be able to talk to an agent who understands what your insurance needs are and explains everything to you about your coverage. Erie Insurance is competitive in price with the other insurance companies but the service is what makes them better than the rest.

I recently dealt with Stephanie on getting a JDM vehicle insured which can be a pain sometimes. She made the process super easy and was very nice on the phone. Good day all, I just want to take a moment to write about Stephanie Oursler. It's not often that I have an issue to call my insurance company but it seems like when I do call Stephanie would answer the phone. As soon as I hear her voice, I'm already at ease that my issue will be addressed with ease. Stephanie is "Always" in a good mood with the most pleasant voice. Lauren was very kind and professional and patiently walked me through the policy differences between the insurance I had signed up with at the dealership (Geico) and Erie/American insurance. I received MUCH better coverage through Erie/American insurance for comparable premium. Lauren helped me save money upfront and undoubtedly down the road if ever we need to submit a claim.

I have been with American Insurance for more then 15 years. There are two reasons that I have remained loyal to them: 1. They offer Erie products, which has always been phenomenal value for the money and, more importantly; 2. Stephanie Oursler has provided outstanding customer service over that entire length of time. I have been with Erie Insurance since I moved to Maryland from PA in the 90’s. I have had a lot of need to call in claims with some extremely stressful situations: tree from neighbors yard fell on my house, car vandalized, flooded house from fridge line break. Each time, they helped me and made me feel secure that they would not leave me. They followed through on all claims and took care of my best interests. I appreciate the added recent coverage of riot insurance most and offer for long-term health care insurance. These are really tough times in our country for certain. It is good to know I have Kip White and his team looking out for my investments.
