I have to take a moment to thank the team at AAA Anchorage, especially Marjie! She helped us get a prompt and thorough policy and had incredible customer service. Timely and professional.

This morning I had a flat tire. I had made a last minute dr's appointment and so as I was pulling out of my garage I noted the flat. I called Triple AAA Roadside Service and spoke with the young woman who took my information. She informed me that it would be a two hour delay. I was not in the mood to hear that. I informed her it was not the middle of winter with all the tow trucks pulling cars out of the Glenn Hwy Median and the Minnesota Drive Median. I accepted my fate and called my dr's office to tell them of my delay. It wasn't more than 15 minutes later that the Vulcan Tow Van showed up. Dominic hopped out and reassured me that this would be taken care of. I almost cried. Anyway, he changed out the tire and offered follow up advice on tire fixing. I was on my way to the dr's appt. Thank you Triple AAA for all the years of help. This was not my first flat tire. Every tow truck driver of the Triple AAA has been kind and helpful even on the snowiest or sunniest of days. I recommend your service to all my friends.

After a few weeks I still have not received my permanent card. Nor did I receive a temporary card. I am using my phone as proof!
Update: I did finally receive my AAA card

AAA may be great for roadside service, but don't go here for passport photos. I have the top membership level and went there for photos, and was charged $40 for the pictures for my 2 kids. Ouch! Could have gone to Costco for $5 each.
Addendum: Our car broke down 100 miles out of Anchorage and the service we received was outstanding. If they changed their passport photo prices I would give them 5 stars.

Called to Anchorage office to make coverage changes on my vehicles but no one was answering the phone. Instead, voice message said leave a detailed message and your call will be returned. Well, four days later, no call came. In calling this office today, same thing, no one answering the phone and it went to a regional office in Utah (customer service) that routed my call back to Anchorage office. Miracle, a real person answered the phone!!! The Anchorage office stated they did not receive my initial message and it probably went somewhere in their vast system. California AAA set their phone system to be customer unfriendly for Alaska. Really ridiculous. There is NOTHING the Anchorage office can do about this. Instead, I can dial their direct number and it will go to the voice mail of the Anchorage manager. Crazy, not going to remember that, however, I am going to remember how unorganized this office is and wonder WHY I stay with them. Oh yeah, their roadside assistance has been good to me ... until it is not. From what I am reading of other postings they are not always good. I will keep that in mind. This is my fourth negative encounter with this Anchorage office. One negative encounter was them closing their office for the day due to downed computers! Like they do not have walk-in customers?! Puh-lease!
