An amazing little ice cream shop. If you see something that doesn't sound appetizing on the menu...try it. You will be glad you did. Corn ice cream with chili pepper sprinkled on top. Gangito- cake with a little strawberry syrup with chocolate pieces. Avocado ice cream. They will allow a couple of samples. You won't be disappointed to make the trip into Kennett Square just for the place. Take a stroll to window shop while you eat your dessert before dinner!

I stopped in here yesterday for the first time while down in Kennett Square with my brother and nephew. This is an excellent little family run shop that makes all of it's own ice cream. The menu is unique full of original ice cream flavors. The first two on the menu are Corn and Avacado flavors. "I joked to my brother, you have to be kidding me?" He said "Nope, and the corn flavored one is excellent!" Other original flavors include Mamey, Cantalope, Cornberry, Black Cherry and Egnoog to name a few. I wasn't ready to take the plunge though and settled on peanut butter ice cream with chocolate fudge in it. Which was also outstanding BTW. I'm going to be in town a few more days and am going to try and get back here for another taste before I head back home. La Michoacana is a gem and an easy 5 stars.

This place has SO MANY ice cream flavors. I wanted something refreshing so I went with passion fruit water ice and it was delicious! My boyfriend got lime & cotton candy and he loved it (we even came back a second time since we were in the area over the weekend). I had a sample of their corn ice cream and it tasted good too! Will definitely come back. The people there were friendly (especially a man who I think was the owner). There’s no parking at the location but there’s a public library across the street that has parking so that was convenient! They also had a few tables so you can eat outside. My personal favorite is the butter pecan ice cream bar, dipped in chocolate, and rolled in pecans, to die for!!! My kids love the corn flavored ice cream. The Guava and Cheese ice cream was wonderful and very different. My wife's bittersweet mint and Oreo was great too. Need to go back and try the corn and the avocado ice creams. Meant exotic flavors along with old favorites. Loved it!

Amazing, delicious, and very homey. The staff are super nice. The portion sizes for the price is well worth it. Homemade ice cream is beyond amazing, I don't think delicious is good enough a word for these ice cream. Had the PB Fudge and Mint Choco Chip in a waffle cone. The waffle cone is crisp and crunchy, not weird and chewy like some places. Do yourself a favor and try something from here!

My 2 kids and I very much enjoyed our experience. The staff was friendly and talkative and the ice cream delicious, if a bit too sweet for our tastes. Seating outside at picnic benches with umbrellas allowed us to enjoy the beautifully warm weather. I'd definitely go back again.

This place is an amazing small shop with a ton of delicious choices! Their ice cream is very creamy and rich. Some of the flavors you might question, but they will surprise you. There was a line pretty much out the door but they service was quick! They had a few seats outside but be prepared to walk and eat. I will be stopping back to try some more flavors.

6/5 Delicious ice cream over a broad array of flavors. Plenty of traditional American flavor options along with fun additional flavors, like corn and avocado and mamey. There's no seating; it's a small shop where you can order and then eat on the sidewalk or benches outside. Sizes are reasonable and reasonably priced.

My wife and I love this place. We drive close to an hour and a half just to eat ice cream and sorbet. Their flavors are traditional and tropical. They have Chile powder that you can sprinkle on the ice cream, for some reason the ice cream and Chile makes the flavor of the ice cream more intense. They have really good stuff there and the lady who owns it is the best. I fully recomend it.

If you go to lunch or dinner in Kennett Square, this is a must-stop for dessert. If you have a more refined palate and don't need things too sweet, go for the Mamey flavored ice cream. It's smooth and subtle. Just love this quaint little spot. It's a small location with only about 10 seats, mostly outside, but there is plenty of seating up and down the bustling little street. We visit every time we go to KS.

May be the best ice cream ever! We have always been ice cream connoisseurs and have spent the COVID distancing months trying many ice cream places in the SE PA/Tristate area. This is by far the best (Owow Cow was before this and still is close second). The creamy texture was too soft and the choice of flavors is second only to being in Puerto Rico or other places in Latin America.

Don't be swayed by the long lines outside. It moves fast and it's worth your wait. Corn ice cream is the greatest thing ever. I know that the coconut ice cream, which tastes like delicious first pressing coconut milk is probably crazy high in calories but it is worth every one. YUM.

Stopped by after a long day @longwood gardens. The homemade popsicles and ice cream were really delicious. We got coconut ice cream. Loved the pieces of coconut inside. I tried a cocount chocolate chip ice cream and, later, an avocado ice cream with chile powder sprinkled on top. Very fast, friendly service, free tastes, and right in the middle of Kennett Square. La Michoacana's ice cream is all home made and delicious. They have all the traditional flavors plus intersting flavors that are a must try. The corn ice cream might sound odd but it's creamy and delicious and if you like the sweet/savory combination there is chile powder to sprinkle on top. Delicious! Other favorites are coconut and mango. 75+ flavors rotated daily serving 35 flavors per day. Cones, sundaes, popsicles, smoothies all available. Friendly, family owned.
