I visited this place for the 1st time and was very impressed! They were very busy during the day with a slight wait. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After reviewing the menu before visiting, I knew exactly what I wanted. I had ordered the Banana Split with vanilla ice cream and it was beyond my expectations. It comes with a huge cold split banana, 3 scoops of ice cream of your choice with all the fixings, topped with whipped cream chocolate drizzle and cherries. I wasn't sure of the size, so I actually asked for 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream instead. After picking it up I was so amazed of how heavy and huge this dessert was!!! It had to be about 2lbs. Nevertheless, it tasted so good 😋 and sweetened to perfection. Not too sweet, just right. This is a great place to bring your kids or just pick up and go's. I give this place 5 🌟 for taste and portion size. You will get your $ worth.

I love this place! I think it is a hidden gem in Wichita. You rarely find places with a variety of fruits for dessert or different things to eat. Easily one of my favorite, little out of the way places. The Hawaiiana, Ensaladas Fruitas, Churros, & Elote are awesome! If you have never been here, I recommend going at least once. It may become your new favorite place. I know it became one of mine. I went again recently. I believe they have extended their work counter now for a selection of different kinds of ice creams. They also have a selection of chips for treats made in the bag.

Jugos are made with fresh fruits and veggies. A little pricey but worth it! Naturally sweet and no ice to water them down. Perfect!

The service here is ALWAYS fast and friendly. The staff take good care of me and it's the only place I know to get this awesome vegetarian quesadilla that is too good to miss. And I've never eaten a better churro, freshly fried and filled with amazing flavors. The. Best.

This an absolutely a must for folks that like nothing but real fruit in their drinks! They have a huge menu varying from sandwiches, tacos to deserts like churros or funnel cakes. The staff was very friendly and handled the big crowd very efficiently.

The combo of fruit and spicy was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff was super nice. It is primarily a spanish speaking staff, but they are very understanding and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I really enjoyed this experience.

Definitely a great place to enjoy a smoothie, ice cream, or a meal! There is usually a decent wait in line, especially on the weekend. I really enjoyed the chilaquiles during my most recent visit. The flavor of the asada was great. My only complaint was how thin the asada was. Definitely a great place to try if you are tired of the usual ice cream/dessert restaurants.

It was my first time going here. The lady that took my order was very nice and friendly. Very patient. I didn't get her name though. She made me a custom juice. The torta was good but I'll have to ask next time if they can make it not cooked. Took a picture. It probably would look way better if I took it there versus after driving all the way home hahaha Will be coming back for the ice cream and funnel cakes!

The food was good but what really made it bad was this sewage smell that smelled up the entire place. It smelled like it a bit outside too. They also charged me more than what the menu said it was supposed to be 5 something and was over 8. Which wasn’t a big enough deal for me to say anything but if you get more than one item and they do that to them all it could be quite the difference.

Everyone so friendly today was my first time oh my God I felt like I was in heaven so many items to choose from I can't speak Spanish but the cashier knew what I was talking about and help me trust and believe me we will be back my family even my kids was in heaven we had elotes. We came in at 9:30 (30 minutes before close) on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. We were still able to place our order within 5 minutes and probably waited another 10-15 for our food to come out. Nothing unreasonable. And it was worth it!! Delicious food and yummy agua frescas! TONS TONS OF MEXICAN ANTOJITOS. too many to list. We didn't take too long to get our elote in a cup. They use cotija cheese - the way its suppose to be. They even things I have never heard of like tostada chorreada or stuffed churro.

This is my favorite place to go for an elote and I haven’t turned back around to find an elote elsewhere since I’ve been coming here. The other elotes are just not the same as Tropicana’s. I came in today Monday, October 25th at around 4:05 PM and the ladies working at the front were super sweet and helped me find the perfect burrito for me to bring home to my boyfriend! He was super satisfied with his Tropi Chicken Burrito and that just warms my heart to see my man happy, enjoying his food! I highly recommend this place they are outstanding!

I can't believe I haven't been back to Tropicana and almost 2 years their food is amazing!! I ordered a ceviche tostada it was so fresh and crisp. This is a fun place to eat and get a sweet treat. It is locally owned and well taken care of. They have a great variety of ice cream flavors as well as specialty drinks. I ordered tacos and they were very good. They are naturally on the spicier side. The birthday cake ice cream flavor was a hit for my daughter. The flavored corn is also very popular here. It is a relaxed atmosphere, almost cafeteria like seating. Very open, inviting, and comfortable.

I love the atmosphere here! I feel like I’m back in Mexico. Since it’s such a popular place, the line can be long, but moves through pretty quickly. The Mangonada Especial is one of my favorite things to order. The only downside is that it is a little pricey (but so far I have found that the prices are comparable to the other Mexican ice cream shops around town).

Moving into a new city can be challenging when you have to find your new favorite places like where to get your favorite ice cream fix, and I am so happy that we found ours here! Tropicana is nothing but great so far everything we have try has been good and my daughter loves her bubble gum ice cream cone and my mother loves the mangonadas. The food is great as well as the service. If you are unfamiliar with this place as I was then you need to know that despite what the description of the food says, they put hot things on it. It may be hot sauce, spicy Tajin or crushed red pepper. At least this was my experience both times. Now I know to order without anything hot specifically. The freshness and quality of the food are top notch.

Best tacos I have EVER HAD!!! You should also try the corn. It is served in a cup and is delicious. The desserts are like nothing you can get anywhere else. Holy moly. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I went in after seeing a mango seasoned on FB. They had it here and called it mango enerte(?). Anyway ordered it and know the next time I'm in Wichita will get it again. In looking at the freezer case of ice cream a person could easily pick a different flavor daily and not run out any time soon.

It's a very big restaurant with great servers and a welcoming environment. It's a place your order and sit while you wait restaurant with no servers, but you get a number and you wait to be called. The prices are very steep for this small business, on my last visit a medium cup of fruit and a small cup of mangonada was around $10.50. I only go in there whenever I'm feeling "spendy", which for a small Mexican restaurant is hard to say. Overall the experience for first time is good and the customer service is amazing, just be willing to open your wallet a little bit.

The only thing that I've noticed is that they put very little ice in the drinks... the people I've went with notice that too. A now not so hidden gem. I love the new location, no more lines going out the door, comfortable seating, and great food/drinks. My only suggestion is they should put a trashcan out front or sweep up cause there is always trash on the curb making it look tacky.

There was a bit of a line but moved quickly. Food was delicious and fresh! My husband and I tried the tropi burrito with chicken, tostada de ceviche, and carne asada tacos. We filled up too quickly to try any of their fruit smoothies or homemade ice cream, which was disappointing. We wanted to try everything. So many items to choose from, we know what we want to try next time. Although the ceviche and carne asada tacos were the best I’ve had in Wichita! The place was almost packed the whole time we were there, which is impressive for a Monday evening. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Corn in a cup was probably the best I've ever had. I was not crazy about their cantaloupe agua fresca, it would've been better had it been strained more. Mangonada Especial was great as was the Taki Locos.

As per my M.O., I went with the torta asada. First, the good: All of the ingredients were whole and fresh -- no shredded lechuga from a bag here! Long slivers of onion, full slices of avocado. And the asada seemed to be flatiron, which was a welcome departure from the chopped meat most places serve. The bread was also soft where it ought be soft, and crisp in the same respect. Came with a small bag of chips and a roasted serrano. Now the bad: Portion size was on the small side. Amount of toppings was insufficient to cover the entire sandwich, meaning there were several bites of just bread. Came with neither mayo nor crema, making it dry; this is compounded by the lack of salsa. Price was commensurate with the overall quality of ingredients, but you can get a lot more bang for your buck at another establishment. I plan to return for the palateria side of the operation; everything there looked appealing. Has other lite fare like antojitos and elotes as well. Has plenty of seating in a casual setting, perhaps too bright, too corporate, lacking character. Staff was friendly, no language barrier.

They’re stuff is pretty good but be ready to wait 40mins -1 hour . It’s a ridiculous line, and make sure to check if you were given straws (if needed for your drinks).
