Came today, first time and the ice cream was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND FRESH. Staff are super friendly. We will most definitely be back. I highly recommend. This picture is the strawberry cheesecake!!!!!

Hands down the BEST Banana Pudding in DC!!! Amazing customer service, great atmosphere, Black Woman-Owned and tons of fresh ice cream flavors and other treats (banana pudding, cakes, brownies, pies, etc.) + great hot dogs and Jamaican patties! Super reasonable prices and always the freshest quality! My only "complaint" would be they have odd hours, so make sure you check their hours before going - but definitely go!

My nephew and I visited because the photos looked so good. The young lady helping us was very sweet. It was a pleasure speaking with her. The deserts that she made for us were oh so delicious! I would recommend anyone to indulge!!!!!

Finally made it and so glad I did! Has a huge selection of flavors - including sherbets, sorbet and vegan options like kulfi and horchata - and offerings including 3 types of cones and milkshakes. They also serve Jamaican patties. An easy recommendation for those in or near park view!

Here is the scoop is awesome! The owner and staff were so nice, there were cookies, cake slices, ice cream, sorbet, and italian ice. I had their summer breeze drink, made with the blueberry pomegranate and strawberry lemonade sorbet. Sat outside and enjoyed that, then went back in and bought a cookies and cream ice cream cone. This place is good and I will be back!

I went in tonight and Smyah and Brynna really took care of me. I barely made it in before they started closing. I let them know I'm visiting, and leaving tomorrow. They patiently waited for me to order. They were so nice, helpful and welcoming. AND the ice cream (birthday cake, salted caramel truffle and southern peach), pound cake and coconut pineapple cake and a chocolate chip cookie were ALL amazing. Great people, great desserts. I highly recommend it.

Oh my gosh this place was so good! So many unique flavors and options for other desserts if ice cream isn’t your thing! I can’t wait to come back and try their banana pudding and cookies! I’ve loved this place since they’ve been open! I hasn’t been in a while since moving but nothings changed (only gotten better). I was greeted by Samiyah as soon as I walked In and her service probably made the ice cream taste better—she was excellent! Ordered birthday cake and it was to die for. Love it here!

All I have to say is that this place is amazing! We stopped in and the lady was so nice! Ice cream was delicious and they have at least 4 nondairy options which is great! Will def come by next time we are in DC!

I arrived at around 11:15 and approached the door. I realized the sign said they opened at noon and I started to turn around in disappointment, still planning to come back. Just as I turned, the door opened and a friendly voice said "We got you!" Having worked in various service industry jobs, I double checked that I was not interrupting set up or getting in the way or just generally being 'that customer' and they assured me that it was fine! I ordered a scoop of salted caramel a scoop of coffee and it was delicious! A double scoop for $5.83!!

After lunch at NuVegan, you should stop by this place for vegan ice cream or, if you eat dairy, any ice cream! The staff was very friendly and nice. The servings are generous. And there are many flavors to choose from. I noticed some cake slices that also looked tempting. There are 3 chairs outside, if you want to enjoy your sweet treat on the spot. Glad a friend showed me this place!

Store was very clean and the staff there are incredibly nice. I ran into one of the owners and he was just as pleasurable as the young lady that worked the counter. I had a slice of their coconut-pineapple cake and a pink of the Georgia Peach ice cream. It was so good. The young lady at the counter was so patient with my neighbor the birthday boy who didn't no what he wanted and constantly kept asking her the same question 😡🤬. I was so irritated 😒but she smiled and said "he's OK, I don't mind". I have made this my favorite ice cream shop.

My favorite ice cream shop in Petworth/Park View/Northwest DC. I love getting cookie dough with hot fudge. Staff is extremely friendly, and will explain the flavors if you ask. I think they have about 10 different flavors, plus a few different toppings and sauces to make this a successful ice cream run. Enjoy your ice cream outside in the beach chairs, or a block down at the park.

The strawberry ice cream has chunks of strawberries in it and tasted fresh like old fashioned ice cream. It was a delight. The birthday cake flavor is the best birthday cake flavor that I've tried anywhere. It tasted just like a sheet cake with buttercream icing. The butter pecan was also good. The staff was friendly and very helpful, they follow covid best practices. They also have floats which we didn't try this time around. It is a wonderful business with delicious ice cream and is a must try!!

Definitely the best ice cream I've ever had. I don't really like ice cream but if it all taste like this I'd definitely eat it a lot more. I got strawberry cheesecake & the first bite I was hooked. It had strawberries throughout & even graham crackers inside (I don't like those either) but thats the point of how good it was. I wish this place was closer to home.

I went to visit for a trip a couple weeks back and I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were as sweet as their ice cream. I had a great and friendly conversation with a couple of employees and they made me feel welcome by encouraging me to try their mystery flavor and other samples I wanted to taste. I ordered a great Oreo malt and would highly recommend them anytime you’re near! Wonderful business and I can’t wait to visit again!!

The ice cream shop is adhering to social distancing. The shop was very clean and staff person was pleasant. The ice cream was the perfect temperature for enjoyment, but the pumpkin ice cream was delicious. Not saying the other scoop I purchased was good, because it was; but every body can not make delicious pumpkin ice cream. I also purchased a hot dog that was a good lunch ( for me).

Visited this wonderful little ice cream parlor on a date a few weeks ago and recently revisited for my daughter's birthday outage... the store is a wonderful quaint setting. Both employees that were there were both great and pleasant. Now for the important part I have loved every ice cream I have tried. The salted caramel is amazing, the s'mores is amazing the pumpkin pecan praline straight took me to another place amazing. Take the time and please try this place it may be one of the best parlors I've been too. They have surpassed my previous favorite parlor and are alot closer.

I love this neighborhood spot. They've got so many flavors including vegan and non dairy sherbert options that are actually interesting and taste good, unlike what a lot of chain ice cream spots offer. The shop itself isn't big so plan to take your cone to a nearby park to enjoy.

Awesome ice-cream!! Me and my friends were visiting DC this weekend and were told that this spot had the best ice cream in the DMV. I entered the store hyped and greeted the two gentlemen that I heard ya'll had the best ice cream ever. And they nonchalantly said "yep". I felt more enthusiastic then they did. Here’s the Scoop is a city wide gem. The ice cream is delicious (try the coconut cardamom!) and the service couldn’t be warmer. I ordered some for friends in the early days of COVID and had it delivered. It arrived to them without a hitch and really made my friends day.

I happened to stumble across this little shop and I was pleasantly surprised. I decided to go in because I noticed that they sold jamaican patties which were the BEST I had and I decided to bring back a pint of the cinnamon churros ice cream for my family. They had me with the patties but OMG I fell in love with the ice cream. I was so mad tht I only got a pint so now I'm looking forward to my next trip into DC. Can't wait to try more flavors.

Here's The Scoop! is the newest ice cream parlor in Washington, D.C. run by D.C. natives! It's in the Park View neighborhood in the basement of a row house close to Howard University. The inside is very small, but there are chairs outside on the patio to enjoy your ice cream. The staff who run the shop are passionate and very friendly. They will guide you along with samples and recommend their favorites. They don't make the ice cream themselves but get it from a distributor. Despite that, it's good ice cream. I had a scoop of the campfire s'more ice cream and it was so good. They also do milkshakes, cookies, and have two fridges of Coca-Cola and Pepsi products. If you like ice cream, add this one to your list!
