The ice cream here is fantastic! I highly recommend trying the ice cream flight so you can try not just one but 4 flavors. The ice cream flight is great to split with a friend or a date. Very reasonable prices. They also have to go pints if you’d like to take some home. Definitely try the chocolate brownie and banana pudding flavors! I also like that they recycle the spoons. Nice to see companies being environmentally conscious. There are many gluten free flavors here.

Great flavors...mine tonight was Brown Butter Pecan & Three Ships Coffee Chip. And a friend had the Mint Chip & Peanut Butter Fudge with waffle cone! The fresh made waffle cone aroma was so good while you picked your ice cream flavors from friendly scoopers!!! Looking forward to trying more flavors!!

We LOVED our sweet stop at Blue Cow! I’ve heard people rave about it so we were excited to try it! Everything is handmade and so creamy! The flavors are perfect and not overpowering. Try the brown butter pecan if they have it. This pic is of the strawberry balsamic, which was AMAZING!!!!!

We wanted to try a local ice cream shop in Virginia Beach rather than the chains. Blue cow is about 10-15 mins away and it certainly is a nice place to go. The ice creams were Fantastic. Unique flavors and very authentic ice creams. The crew and service was top notch and the place and even the bathrooms were spic and span. Would definitely visit again when am back in town.

We found this cute ice cream shop last week and we've already visited twice. To start, the shop is very clean and the staff is friendly. I have had the Brown Butter Pecan and it's delish! Not too sweet, but still addicting. When you visit you must get ice cream with a waffle cone. They make their waffle cones in house and were doing so today. These are sooo good, I could eat one by itself! You must visit next time you're craving a sweet treat.

Banana pudding was amazing, big chunks of nilla wafer and pureed banana throughout. Goat cheese blueberry swirl was very unique, it sort of grew on me as i ate it, has a salty taste that blends well with the ice cream and blueberry.

It's top-notch ice-cream. I found myself craving ice-cream one day and found that Rita's had closed. So I ventured out a bit further from home and found this place. The first time, I ordered a milkshake. It was a fine shake. But trying their ice cream on waffle cones has made me very happy. The place is small but nice to look at and their flavours are excellent.

This has been my go-to when ice cream cravings kick in and it has never let me down! Blue Cow has 12 Classic Flavors that have been available every time I've gone but an additional 6-8 Featured Flavors that go on rotation throughout the year. So far I have tried their Cake Batter, Oreo, Double-fold Vanilla, Goat Cheese Blueberry Swirl and Chocolate Brownie...I'd have them all over and over again - 10/10! This last visit, I tried the Triple Berry Crisp and ohhhhh myyy, it was DELICIOUS!! If only I could convince them to make it a "Classic"! Also appreciated their on-going efforts at keeping everyone safe in times of the coronavirus! There is a sign outside reminding everyone to don a mask and to enter the store in groups, allowing for only two parties inside at a time. The crew is wearing masks and gloves at all times and changing gloves when ringing you up. I must also extend an additional thank you to the crew that was on this past weekend, the evening of October 3rd. After issues with their credit card system despite trying to run the charge twice and waiting for several minutes, we were offered our ice cream on the house instead of having us wait any longer. Truly appreciated it and made sure to show their tip jar some love!

The best icecream I've ever had...and I've had a lot :) This is definitely the best local icecream spot in Virginia Beach. They have rotating flavors which are all incredible and you can smell the waffle cones from outside! All staff is extremely friendly.

Since this was our first time here, we couldn't decide on a flavor to try so me and my husband each went with the flight of ice cream. That allowed us to try 8 flavors! All of the flavors were good, but a few were absolutely incredible! The ones we preferred were the blue cow patty, campfire s'mores, goat cheese with blueberry swirl, sea salt brickle with caramel swirl, snickerdoodle, and the coffee chip. This is one ice cream place we will definitely be visiting again! I highly recommend! If you're getting the flight of ice cream, go with an empty stomach! 😊

Great ice cream shop close to First Landing State Park. Went twice Memorial Day weekend 2020 and had a great experience both times. On the first visit, we decided to go in so we could see the flavors and ask a couple of questions. I ended up with a waffle cone of Three Ships Chip (coffee ice cream with mini chocolate chips) and my husband had a waffle cone of Blue Cow Patty (chocolate ice cream with Oreos and Butterfingers). Both flavors were very good. The second visit was a curbside pickup as we ordered a pint of Blue Cow Patty to take back to the campground. Several other flavors peaked my interest (e.g. goat cheese with blueberry) and I will definitely be back to give them a try.

Interesting flavors, and companions enjoyed the ice cream flight of 4 flavors. I had a nondairy peppermint chocolate, but had some tummy issues afterwards anyhow, so recommend you ask exactly what's in the nondairy version. Cute place in a shopping center.

It's so refreshing to walk into this space and IT'S NOT SUBWAY :-) The Blue Cow crew did a great job building it out and they have awesome style and unique in-house ice cream flavors. The cereal milk ice cream tastes just like my frosted flakes milk, love it! I had the butter pecan and loved it. I think there were 24 flavors. Keep up the good work Blue Cow!

Delicious! Just go, order your favorites or get something fun, either way you will not be disappointed! I took a picture of two favorites: goat cheese blueberry and sea salt Carmel butter brickle. My daughter also loves the birthday cake and my son (2 years old) just says, “good” over and over when eating the Oreo.

Solid ice cream! They dont make ice cream like this in Maryland! The shake just hits the spot differently because of the farm milk...docking one star because half the staff today were on their A-game and on top of customers... two others were clearly goofing around and doing the bare minimum and clearly did not act excited to be there except with each other (yeah we notice). I've worked in an ice cream shop years ago, so I know coasting when I see it... Kudos to the ladies who put in work. Keep up the good ice cream... outside of the outliers, staff is generally solid. Will return.

I love this locally owned ice cream shop. There ice cream is organic and lactose tolerable. Their ingredients are sourced from Virginia Farms. Blue Cow has unique flavors that make your taste buds happy! Please try their handmade waffle cones. So delicious, I promise you won't be disappointed. Oh, and you can sample all the flavors.

Been coming here for yrs & it hasn't changed so im updating this for the owner. Staff standing around, not friendly & not helpful. Talking to each other & not asking if I needed help or had any questions. I would expect a local business to be more inviting to people who walk through the door. Especially the African American girl with the long blue braids, very rude. She had to finish her conversation today before wanting to help me. No greeting, no "how can I help you?" Nothing but eye rolls from her. I hope you train her on manners. She rolled her eyes at me again when I told her that's the wrong flavor so she had to re scoop bc she wasn't paying attention. I come here for the ice cream and definitely not for the horrible staff you've had for years. Stop hiring teenagers who don't care about your customers.

My husband and I took our daughter and grand daughter to the Blue Cow tonight. The ice cream was amazing! But, the most amazing thing was something we witnessed while standing in the parking lot talking before we left. A young lady walked out of the store with her waffle cone and all of a sudden the ice cream toppled off the cone and splat...right at her feet. Bless her heart, she was in dismay. My husband and daughter suggested she go back in and explain what happened and she did. Shortly the young lady walked back by with another waffle cone piled high with her favorite sweet. We asked if she had to pay for the new cone and she said no! What an amazing company! Five stars for the actual ice cream and 10 stars for their amazing staff!

Best ice cream in VA Beach!!! We’ve been vacationing here for 5 years and found this place on our last visit. We went 4 consecutive days because it is THAT GOOD! I got different flavors each visit and was always happy with my choice. Amazing service too! All the workers were friendly, helpful, and patience. I told my husband it would be worth the 7 hour drive from PA just for this ice cream! I can’t wait until we can go again!!

Love the unique flavors they offer here! Had the mint chip, double fold vanilla, and the salted caramel and they were all fantastic. The waffle cones seemed fresh and perfectly prepared. The location is right off of Great Neck and Shore Drive, right behind Hot Tuna. Prices are comparable to other ice cream shops in the area. Also, they adhered to social distancing measures and face covering requirements recommended by the CDC.

Good quality ice cream with enough flavors to provide variety without overwhelming. They were doing a good job keeping guest parties separate and everyone was wearing masks, so they're making it as safe as possible. Nice people working behind the counter. The process is slower than usual (I'm assuming) so it's going to take anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes to get in and get your order when they're busy. Also, they have good looking waffle cones, but I prefer sugar cones, so that wasn't perfect, but we just took ours in cups and that worked out fine.

Great new addition to the area! Tried a couple samples - lemon poppyseed and banana pudding - DELICIOUS. They have gluten free cones and vegan options. I had the vegan chocolate and it tasted like regular ice cream - one of the best vegan ice creams i've ever had. Also so happy they have gluten free options! Waffle cones smelled delicious too. They are newly opened, so there was a decent line, but they were working as fast as they could. Prices on point for the quality you're getting.

To be honest...the blue cow in Roanoke is much better. On this particular day the choices here were not that great. Only one flavor that had chocolate in it ...no strawberry, cherry, raspberry flavors , no vanilla, no chocolate chip ..the flavors offered were too gourmet. So I got a scoop of chocolate 🙄 …

Let's start out the New Year with Ice Cream. First of all, gotta give props to the Ladies in here who really pushed Covid safety. I was told where to stand/wait when I walked in, and I'm okay with that. Throughout my time in there, there was no question they weren't staying vigilent with Covid protocols. Well done with that! Now...the Ice Cream. It's good. Go get some. I think I ordered the peanut butter oreo cookie ice cream, and my life is good. I really enjoyed. My Wife ordered plain old Vanilla, and she was very happy with it. The ice cream tasted fresh, and creamy. I really liked the combo of ice cream, peanut butter flavor, with the chunks of oreo. This place is well worth and it's by the Hot Tuna. Get some dinner from them, and come over here for some good Ice Cream.

My husband and I took our 5 & 7 year old daughters here for free scoops during their grand opening...and we went back again the next night. It’s so good!! Between the four of us, trying different flavors (and tasting each other’s) both times, we have zero complaints. Nothing was lacking, the flavors and texture were on point. I love the vibe in the shop too - it feels super clean and crisp with local art popping off the blue and white color palette. Really excited to have this in VB!!

This place!! The B E S T ice cream in town, & the handmade waffle cones are crunchy & tasty; & you can watch them being made. There are amazing flavor combinations like goatcheese & blueberry, vegan chocolate made with coconut milk, Shipps Corner coffee with chocolate chips, & more. They don't use a ton of sugar like their rival in Hilltop. The service always comes with a smile, & the staff is conscientious with cleaning & safety. So glad to have found this gem off of Shore Drive & Greatneck Rd. Thanks Arlene!

I’ve never tried an ice cream I didn’t love here. However I was disappointed to find that one of the employees working tonight was wearing one of the mesh face masks antimaskers wear to get around mask requirements. Someone who is standing over ice cream for hours at a time should be wearing a proper mask. As a pregnant person being higher risk of a breakthrough case it made me uncomfortable.

Had a bad experience at Gelato Celesti and took off and found this place. This vibe was awesome, and my family and I felt very welcomed. They had a large variety of ice cream.

The fact that this place is a small shop with ice cream made locally and in small batches is awesome! The best part is they have dairy free options. I got the dairy free salted caramel and my husband got the dairy free chocolate raspberry. Both were creamy and delicious. Perfect for anytime, summer or winter.
