After visiting Michigan and going to the headquarters, I became obsessed with this ice cream shop. Of course I was thrilled to learn that we had one in the STL area. It’s still one of my favorite ice cream shops. I just wish we had another location near downtown/midtown as well since st Charles is a little far from our house.

I got 2 scoops of Salted Caramel Chocolate ice cream in a wafflebowl. Outstanding! It was cold that day, who cares, fills a warm belly and so good.

Their ice cream and chocolates fabulous. The place is usually clean and the atmosphere is nice. The staff is extremely friendly. They give as many samples as you desire. I would suggest them to add wet wipes on the tables for the kids. That would be helpful.

This place really has some of the best ice cream and chocolate desserts in town. Have always enjoyed every ice cream flavor I’ve tried. Even the more unusual flavors the kids get just because it’s a certain color. And the chocolate is really delicious!!

Excellent little store with a wide variety of delicious hand-scooped ice cream, plus racks of all sorts of confections. A half dozen cozy tables inside, a back patio area, and I think a couple chairs in the front of the store.

The staff here have always been nice. I appreciate how patient they are when I bring my children or my friend's children with me who don't know what flavor they like. The staff allowed them to try several flavors until they made up their mind. The in-house made candy & treats are exceptional!

As a MI native, this is the ONLY place where I can get my fix of true Superman ice cream (it's not just weak food coloring in vanilla ice cream, Blue Bunny, and Blue Raspberry has no business being involved, it's Blue Moon, lemon, and cherry). Their fudge, chocolate confections, and caramel apples are all high quality, and delicious too. You may have to look past a couple of the brooding, college coed staff who seem as if they don't want to be there (she couldn't even smile while handing a child a fudge sample), but it's worth it.

This might be the only candy shop on Main Street that actually makes candy in house. The ice cream is also excellent. It is the perfect texture and tastes great. The staff are patient, friendly and appear to be happy to serve you. The gentleman who was making caramel, explained what he was doing and how the process works. This is a sweet find on Main Street.

When I feel lost and confused in a touristic place, Kilwins arrives. The sea salt caramel fudge finds me at my lows and gives me the dopamine I need to get through the long walks through pamphlet ridden towns. Thank god for these samples. The staff was super kind too!

The employees are incredibly friendly. The shop itself is so cute and the ice cream is delicious. We sampled a couple of different flavors of fudge, it was absolutely divine!! I can't recommend Kilwins enough!! I'm going to get fudge next time and some candies for Easter baskets. Great place!!

Good ice cream. The portions were small for the cost though. Two scoops was more like one, so stick with one, it is more cost effective. For that reason only, I wouldn't go out of my way to get back there. They have a good location on main street. They had a good atmosphere and fun to try. It was worth a shot. -- we only tried ice cream so we cannot speak to other items.

This sweet shop is always busy and it's no surprise. You can watch what they're making, and there is something for everyone. It's clean, well managed, and their caramel apples are one of my very favorite desserts, even if few would consider them a proper dessert. Don't let the $8 price scare you - they're huge and smothered in homemade caramel and pecans, with what seems like a dusting of powdery salt. There are other toppings but this is my go-to. I'm no apple aficionado but they are a green variety that isn't too tart and perfect every time. I always plan to eat half of it one day, and finish it the following day but it never seems to work out that way. #gobigorgohome

The ice cream here is pretty amazing. Especially the toasted coconut, it has a VERY good flavor. It does not get overpowered by another flavor being paired with it. There are many other flavors of ice cream. They also make chocolate and other candies at this place, so the smell when you step into the shop is completely heavenly.

Cool little ice cream and candy shop. Had dinner down the street and wanted some ice cream. Had not been here before. There was a little bit of a line but that told me this was the right place to be. They had a good selection of flavors. I had the apple pie which apparently is a seasonal option. The guy helping me was very enthusiastic about my flavor choice. It was good. I would definitely go back if in the area.

The variety of delicious desserts is huge! A bonus is they already have most desserts in boxes ready to go. If not, you can make your own combination. The employees are very helpful and nice. They have different kinds of fresh fudge. I got some caramel corn, and chocolate covered oreos. And my son picked a caramel and milk chocolate marshmallow, they make their own marshmallow by the way. Prices are not bad for the great quality.

Their hand-dipped ice is the best I’ve ever hand. I grew up with loving other chain creameries but this one is the only place I’ll go for now on. It’s a little price heavy, especially for their chocolates but you definitely get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a fun family night our on Main Street, check out Kilwan’s!

During this period of social distancing my family and I were delightfully welcomed into Kilwins for some greatly desired ice cream 🍦 (Butter Pecan | Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough | Caramel Apple w/Pecans) It smelled so yummy 😋 and their selection of ice cream flavors, chocolates, treats, and caramel apples with or w/o nuts were plentiful! Everything about it was very neat and nice, including the restrooms and quality soap that left my hands feeling soft🙌 Thank You to the Kilwins Team for such splendid services; you’re doing a remarkable job!

Best Ice Cream in the area! You only need 1 scoop though as they are very large and very rich!! Amazing flavors, and you can sample as many as you'd like. They also have amazing fudge and you can sample those, too.

On the sidewalk about a block away from this location all you see is people with bags of candy and ice cream cones follow the aroma to the fresh baked fudge stepping inside there's a master Craftsman folding fudge repetitively an amazing display of candy through the glass case is just constant temperature. Ice freeze now we're talking to Rose a multi flavored ice cream man this place is on top of it love it it's time to sign off and grab some samples

Kilwins is the place to go if you want an ice cream shop with a classic soda shop feel. The ice cream is smooth and delicious and I personally love ordering the hot fudge sundae while my wife loves getting the toasted coconut ice cream on a waffle cone. They also have fudge and different types of caramel popcorn as well as a host of other candies. When we eat dinner on main street we always make a point to walk down to kilwins for dessert

Holy cow. It's an old-fashioned meets new ice cream shop. I have to get a waffle cone here every time I'm downtown St. Charles. There's always a line and it's soooo worth waiting. They have other candies that they make right there in the shop and you can often see taffy pulling or fudge making while you wait. Wonderful downtown St. Charles experience.

Really good bar/pub. We had no reservation but they got us in really fast. Food was great. The place was noisy (but what bar isn't?) I disliked that most of their seating was a high chair, it would have been nice to sit in a standard chair.
