I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. It is hands-down the best gelato in Utah! I fell in love with gelato in Italy, and this place is legit! The flavors are always incredibly creamy, flavorful, and fresh. 10 out of 10 would recommend! They also sell Gelato cakes, which I still need to try. We've had Gelato in Italy, France, and Spain, and honestly this place is better than a lot of the Gelato we had over there. The pistachio here was sooooo good, and it didn't have the fake green color lots of places add. The chocolate, hazelnut, and coffee flavors mixed really well with it.

My wife and I stopped, we were greeted warmly, introduced to the flavors and told things about them like, the pear flavor is grown in the owners backyard, fun details. The gelato was creamy, flavorful and a wonderful substitute for dinner. We had, Vanilla, Pear, Root Beer, Salted Carmel. They were delicious and worth the stop! Thank you Sweetaly Gelato.

We just got back from Italy a week ago and have been missing our daily gelato. This place was recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint! The Mascarpone was amazing. Creamy textures and definitely settled the craving!

First I have to preface that I loooove gelato. Like I don’t just like ice cream or dessert in general but I will travel for fresh gelato! They have a good traditional menu option here with pistachio, tiramisu, dark chocolate, hazelnut, Raffaello, mars alone and such. The girls who serve are friendly as well. Now this was back in Early April but they also allow you sample pretty much however many flavors you like which is great because I hate it when gelato places limit you to like two samples! This can be annoying because every gelato place makes their gelato a different consistency and sometimes overly soft or too sweet. Sweetaly does not disappoint! I religiously buy their pistachio cookies which are surprisingly not too sweet and actually have some pistachio flavor. Every time I go back to Atl I buy three bags. I had the hazelnut gelato which wasn’t too hazelnut sweet flavor which I appreciated and the tiramisu is decadently light. Recently when I went two days ago they no longer allow samples. Boo~ but since I’m familiar w/ the good flavors ok w/ me. Their cookies still consistently good. It’s a cross between the lightness of a Madeleine and the texture of a cookie. 😋

We were very excited to try Sweetaly Gelato for the first time and it did not disappoint. Amazing Gelato for a great price. The only down side was not being able to have samples before ordering, rather than that, we had a great experience.

The gelato at Sweetaly is very good. We loved the neighborhood atmosphere, children playing on the front lawn, and that it was a popular spot even at 3 o’clock on a weekday afternoon. We will be back to enjoy more of their gelato.

Anna provided an excellent service! The gelato flavors I picked were Vanilla, pumpkin spice, and bacio (chocolate and hazelnut mixed). The bacio flavor was abundant with chocolate and nutty flavor and they added real ingredients. My friend ordered a pumpkin spice flavor with Mascarpone which she said it tastes just like pumpkin spice cheesecake!!! Here the Gelato is a top-notch in town :) They make it fresh everyday, it is a must try !!

The young lady who helped me choose gelato for a gift was absolutely incredible… ❤️ She was kind empathetic sweet and so helpful. I was buying a treat for a family whose mama is going thru cancer and so many other things… I didn’t expect anyone to care or be able to understand… she absolutely did d both with her smile and words… the world is filled with exceptional people… this young lady leads the way… I’m inspired .. she brought me to tears with her easy kindness. This place is perfect, its a once a week visit for my wife and me, I love and hate that the flavors are always changing. And there has only been one flavor that I have not Loved. And they just got samples back! So you can sample 2 flavors again and that makes things much better. We encourage everybody to go there and if anybody visit my wife and me, we take them there because this place is so amazing! Google suggested that I do an update on this review, because I've been so much and my opinion may have changed... Nope this place is still my favorite I was there last night and I would go again today if my wife would let me. Coincidentally, I've been gaining weight... Probably unrelated to how much Gelato I eat though.

I love this little gelato shop. Went here with my little girls and the server was super kind to them and answered all their questions. The girls got coconut and mango. I got the Casablanca Affogato which was perfection for the cold day. The flavors are always spot on... marscapone is my favorite. You can't go wrong. The chocolate fountain is also a great add and my kids favorite part of the experience. They aren't the cheapest gelato place in SLC, but the quality is worth it. Definitely give them a try.

It was quick visit for us. Most importantly, the Gelato was really good! I got the espresso flavor and the person I was with got the mint chocolate chip. We both got mediums thinking they wouldn't give us that much... we were wrong! Pleasantly suprised at how much they gave us! We sat outside and really just a nice time. Thanks!

Such good gelato. Best around that I’ve tried. The lavender honey flavor is sooo good. So creamy and smooth. The staff working on a Saturday night were kind and quick. There was a constant flow of customers the time we were there. You know it’s good if that’s how busy it is. Not a ton of indoor seating as it’s a small shop. Plenty outside under their shade.

The best gelateria in Salt Lake City , hands down. Truly Italian gelato , not with eggs , like other "famous" place in 9 ane 9 , but quality cream instead and prime ingredients. My favorite are the Lavender Honey and Pistachio one.The pistachio is only available on the weekends. The sorbettos are also excellent , my favorite being the Pineapple and Grapefruit ones. Yes , best gelato in town in both of their locations and best prices too.

I was introduced to gelato in Italy. Ever since I’ve been on the search for American gelato that tastes like it did in Italy. All the gelato places we’ve been to in Utah are more like ice cream. Sweetaly Gelato is spot on. Most important the texture is the way gelato should be. Super smooth and delicious. If you want authentic gelato this is the place to go in Utah.

We came here because we have the Wasatch Savings card, and it gave us a BOGO free serving of gelato. The young kids working on the Friday evening were not fully aware of the card discount, and it took several minutes for them to call management and figure it out. But the gelato was great, they had tons of unique flavors, and it all was very delicious.

Their gelato is fantastic each flavor we tried was delicious. There was about 10 of us and we got really fast friendly service. The shop was really clean and bright. They offer different sizes and have cones available or larger sizes like pints. One of my favorite menu items is the small/kids size. It’s actually a kids size and because their gelato is delicious none will be wasted for the little ones. The one flavor I will be coming back for is the Black Forest it was (chefs kiss) exquisite!

Wife loves it, I think it is okay, some of the flavors just miss. Some are great and would get again, but they switch them out constantly. Also the portion size could be improved for price. And the last time we went the dutch chocolate tasted bad, and the mango lime tasted like some type of cleaner. But my wife always loves her selections, and our friends enjoy it, so I gave it 4 stars.

What a gem! My kids and I were out for a Spring break adventure and stumbled on this great Gelato shop. The flavors are exquisite and the texture was creamier than anything else I've ever had. The shop is clean and bright and offers patio seating. Great service and atmosphere. We'll be back!

Being from Italy, I can safely say this is the best gelato I’ve had in the States. And even if I were back home with the high standard of gelato quality in Italy, this would still be one of my top picks. We tell everybody about this place, it never disappoints. The owner, Francesco, is awesome and extremely attentive when it comes to the quality and freshness of his ingredients. We were also pleasantly surprised when we found out that all the fruit flavors are dairy- free, but still just as good as all the rest. I also don’t quite understand the few complaints on price - I’ve been to plenty of places in the States that sold regular ice cream or very inauthentic gelato and always spent more... for something that didn’t come even close to the quality and flavor of Sweetaly. We were surprised at how good the prices are, considering all the ingredients they import from Italy and how great the gelato is. So worth it!

I also chatted with the employees and I love the idea that they make it fresh everyday and have different flavors for different seasons and on different days to have a nice variety! I came here on a whim over the weekend. I was originally looking for an open bookstore and saw this shop. I have recently come to love Gelato, and this is some of the best I have had so far. Flavors are amazing, and the consistency is perfect. I especially loved that the pistachio flavor is actually pistachio, not the mass-market green version. While I came with my partner and he never tips, I plan to drop by again on my own just to leave a tip for the amazing product and very friendly service.

This is the best and most authentic gelato I've had in the states. Absolutely incredible. Super creamy, light and full of flavor. I would highly recommend it. The only complaint I have is the portion sizes are super small for the price, but I would absolutely go back.

My kids Love the gelato (ice cream) here. Amazing quality and abundance of flavors. Love how we can have it on a cone with NO PLASTIC waste. The bambino is a small cone perfect to get a taste and the piccolo a little bigger and great price both under $4. We always come back for more! The shop has a good style and fun environment. There was a bit of a line (it was a Saturday night) but it was worth the wait. I was pleasantly surprised by cantaloupe gelato, an odd flavor but I loved it. They had a wide variety of flavors and options for dietary restrictions.

Going 5 stars because of the positive attitude the workers had while being slammed with customers 15 minutes prior to close. Interior: Clean and contemporary, friendly and inviting. Restrooms were clean and there were a few tables inside to sit at. Exterior: Decent patio area with hanging lights, seemingly pretty popular little hang out area with a fairly wide demographic leaning toward young adult. Gelato: About 16 different flavors with a decent variety, all of excellent quality. Samples were available and offered without having to request, which was nice. Coffee drinks were also available but I can't comment as I didn't try them. Overall: Solid place to grab some gelato and hang out on a nice night, check it out!

Best gelato in town, hands down. You can tell it’s homemade, and made with real ingredients. My personal favorite is the almond/amaretto, and the dark chocolate sorbet. I have struggled to go back to regular ice cream ever since we started aiming here. Ditch the soft serve and get yourself some real ice cream.

This location of Sweetaly is always clean and the staff is friendly. Some of the other locations can get quite busy, but I have never had to wait too long here. During the summer time, this is a perfect location to grab something cold and sweet and sit out on their patio and enjoy the warm summer night's air. My favorite is the Lemoncello flavor, it tastes like a cold and creamy lemon cake. There are tons of other great flavors as well.

We absolutely love this place. My wife and I make frequent visits - the prices are great for the flavors and sizes you get. Only potential downside is that it can be quite busy some evenings, but I would say that's a reflection of how good the Gelato is. If you're looking for dessert or Gelato, give this place a try.

I was totally blown away by this cute little gelato shop! The gelato tasted wonderful! They also had a variety of other treats too. Not too overpriced but it tasted like it! Fantastic gelato and some really interesting flavors. I've been here twice and the offerings change substantially with the season. Today they had flavors for the holidays like egg nog, gingerbread, candy cane, chocolate orange (which I had and it was awesome!). It's pretty reasonable, a medium ("medio") with up to 3 flavors is $4.20, and it's a fair size, not big but definitely not small. The different flavors come through really strong, it's truly delicious. Definitely a stop whenever I'll be in the neighborhood!

Very flavorful gelato. The dark chocolate is very rich. They allow you to mix up to 3 or 4 flavors, and it's inexpensive, especially for how good it is. The inside has a lot of nostalgic themed art which gives it a nice atmosphere.

Great stuff. And I'm Italian, so I know good gelato 😊. The mascarpone flavor is incredible. I docked one star because the lemon flavor doesn't taste too authentic, but maybe I need to try it again. I'm also not sure why they don't have stracciatella as a staple flavor like all gelaterias in Italy... But overall, a cute and delicious place!

We finally found good gelato in Utah! Our trip to Italy last month turned us into gelato snobs. Sweetaly makes gelato every bit as good as what we experienced in Rome. I had chocolate and hazelnut and my wife had dark chocolate and coconut. Buonissimo!

This is a perfect hangout spot if you love amazing gelato and want to relax. They have some delicious affogato (gelato in coffee or hot chocolate) options, and many different flavors. It was a colder evening when I went, it was busy but not overcrowded. The location is great with outdoor seating and a nice grassy corner. There is not a lot of parking available, but that's typical for this area.

SUCH good gelato! And the fact that they have vegan which is septate and clearly marked is great. The people there were very kind and helpful. The only thing I didn't like so much was the fact that they don't have a highchair or booster seat, and it was clear that we weren't the only ones bringing little kids there. Amazing! Seriously every flavor was great and the staff let us sample a lot of them. I have returned many of times and recommend it highly. The location is packed on the weekend so expect to wait, but it is well worth it! Great vibes sitting out front and watching all the dogos.

Small shop that makes very delicious and exclusive desserts. Tiramisu is outstanding, slightly sweetened, not overpowering. Gelato was delicious too. And they are very attentive to details, wrapping each pastry with a ribbon around the box. Elegant.

Love this little gem of a place. I am more prone to frequent this place in the summertime. However, I was having a hankering for gelato. I ordered a small waffle cone, coated on the inside with chocolate, added cannoli-flavored gelato--ricotta, orange zest, bits of pistachios--to die for! And then had it drizzled with the chocolate from their fountain. An epicurean sensation!

Absolutely, absolutely, love this gelato store. after spending time in Italy and learning that not all gelato is created equally I found out that there's a difference between authentic and fake gelato. So while vacationing in Italy it was something we are constantly on the hunt for. In Italy 90% of all gelato joints are fake. And once you've had the real thing it's hard to ever go back. Coming back home I was on the hunt to find real gelato figuring I would be completely disappointed. To my surprise, some Italian Americans told me about this place and that it was authentic and I have since been back three times in a short span! I can't wait for the summer when there would be more reason to come back here. A lot of really great flavors it's hard to pick which one is my favorite. I would argue the traditional pistachio is a hard thing to beat. Mainly I would argue that there's a lot of non-traditional Italian flavors which isn't inherently a bad thing. But there's also a lot of traditional Italian flavors that are not there which I would like to see.

Delicious gelato, smooth and creamy. My wife loves it and has gone a number of times. Very friendly staff. A tad expensive, but very authentic and the owners are true Italians. Definitely recommend.

We come here all the time and love your Gelato. Due to traffic issues we we arrived at the door at 8:01. Your hours changed it used to be 10pm. We got in the parking lot around 7:55 but having a 5 month old it took us a few minutes to get out of the car. The child working behind the counter proceeded to yell at us stating you were closed and we needed masks to even come in anyway and told us to leave. Meanwhile there were 5 customers in front of us waiting to be served. My wife has a skin condition and has tried to wear masks several times but her skin breaks out and I have asthma we don't carry masks around to enter places who belittle you for not having one. Sometimes I have one laying around I can put on for places such as your location that are more fearful and uncomfortable if anyone isnt wearing one. Obviously we aren't so rude as to blindly enter a place that requires one and spread anything I hope management will take him aside and talk to him about some manners.

Warning - don't try the tiramisu! We love all the Gelato we have tried and the cute ambience of the place, so naturally I was excited to try the tiramisu... Sadly the looks did not match the taste. The first bite was really dry so I tried a few more and the whole thing tasted dry, like they soaked the ladyfingers a week ago then let it sit out. I'll be skipping all the pastrys based on that experience. Even my local Dan's grocery store has a much better Tiramisu.

Chic, airy atmosphere and a traditional selection of gelato and Italian desserts. I got the vegan gelato so I can't speak to the rest, but it wasn't the best non-dairy gelato I've had. Still quite good and the outdoor patio is so nice on a warm summer night! There's lots of debate between Sweetaly and Dolcetti. I lean Dolcetti for the atmosphere, offerings (like tea and chocolate), and I do think their gelato is a bit better. I honestly think it mostly comes down to atmosphere though!
