What?!? I didn’t even know this was an option in the valley! Rolled ice cream? The boba teas and drinks looked next level. I will have to return to try them out. Staff was also patient and understanding as we stood wide eyed at the screen of options. Highly recommend for a date night treat.

Been here a couple times for the boba and wouldn’t say it’s my favorite boba place in SLC but it’s good. Finally decided tried the roll ice cream. It was so good! Pretty much the only boba place open after 10pm too. I love the mix ins and toppings for the roll ice cream. I love matcha ice cream and the one they make here is just perfect. The staff are really friendly too. There’s street parking or parking on the other side of the building.

Very delicious! I got the red royal tea ice cream with red bean and almond. SO GOOD. Definitely try. They have a very good amount of flavor combos to try for their ice cream, and a simple looking boba menu. The seating area is kinda small but if it’s not too busy it’s not a problem. It’s pretty big portion sizes too so that’s a plus.

“This is wonderful and I’m glad it’s in my life now.” - my boyfriend, staring contemplatively at his ice cream like it’s his firstborn child. Ice cream, but make it art. I love it. Anyway, the shop is super cute and it was clean and well kept. Menu looked like it had a lot of options, but I only had eyes for the Rocky Mountain rolled ice cream. The lady who took our order was super sweet. We were there around 7pm on a Wednesday in October and there was no wait at all!

Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They had so many options to choose from. I love the options to choose what I want for the rolled icecream. The rolled icecream was surprisingly good, even though I picked a bunch of random flavors. I got the milk tea boba with popping strawberry Boba & the papaya with Andes mint & matcha pocky sticks. I hope to go there again when I can amd try other flavors. Would highly recommend this place if you want some rolled icecream without the need to visit Thailand to indulge in some street food rolled icecream.

Super good, I got rolled ice cream a day prior to this and it was amazing. The shop is small but snug and it’s a little cold (Probably because of the ice cream.) I got a coffee base with oreo mix-in and it was a banger. The workers are really nice and I definitely enjoyed. The place is perfect for dates or just a sweet treat. Great place for people with a sweet tooth. This time I got taro boba tea with extra boba. Tasted great, almost coconuty in a way. It was cold and creamy while the boba was warm, perfect contrast. Next time I’ll go I’ll definitely try another menu item. 10/10!

Vanilla ice cream with cinnamon toast crunch mixed in, cookie dough on top, very good but the showstopper was the "popping boba". The drink is passion fruit smoothie with Mango popping boba. Amazing, innovative, life changing. The service was also speedy and super nice. Okay back to the popping boba, it's a different texture than normal boba balls and it explodes flavor into your mouth, will come back just to try all the other exploding balls of flavor

An excellent variety of tea, fruit drinks and ice cream. The worst part is the wait, the place gets really busy so you'll spend minimum 15 to 20 minutes waiting most likely, but the drinks and ice cream are definitely worth it. Drinks are roughly $5 + each, and ice cream I believe starts around $7 and gets more expensive the more you add. Similar to Coldstone, but more expensive than buying ice cream from the store. It makes for a fun stop on a date night! The place is small though, so if it's busy you'll need to take your items to go as there is not enough seating.

We LOVE coming here any time we are in Downtown SLC! The staff is always so friendly, watching them make your treat from scratch right in front of you is so ao fun and they taste amazing!! This is probably in the top 3 of my 11yr old daughters favorite places for a mommy date!

Presentation will only get you so far in life, you gotta have some depth and texture. The same goes for ice cream. Koi D Bar has it all, amazing visually tasty Rolled ice cream and depth of flavor to tantalize even the pickiest of ice cream eaters (that’s a thing, just ask my wife!) So glad I found this little place. Very friendly family owned ice cream shop similar to Subzero that took over the J Bar 4 months before writing this. If you like very cold hard ice cream this is the place for you, and if that’s not your jam; it will be. I haven’t tried the boba yet, but can’t wait to try it.

It’s really fun watching them mix the ice cream with your ingredients, and then roll them. The ice cream is very tasty, but what I actually like is the bubble teas (boba drinks), and cosmic drinks. If you don’t know, a boba drink has tapioca balls in a blended drink, and so as you drink you can also chew on those balls. A cosmic tea is different flavors of drink that they layer, so you see the different colors and then you mix it all up. It is a very tasty drink.

This was awesome delicious ice cream favors. I would recommend this to anyone that likes ice cream. It's a great place to take a date. Their bobo drink is great too. I like how late they are open, so it's easy to grab on a date. It's quite enough to talk to a person. I would try all their favors or make your own. It's all awesome. I'm definitely going again for sure. The staff is also really nice and helpful.

This was my first time getting rolled ice cream, & I did the custom option & loved it!! - taro base, mixed with mango & red bean, & topped with mochi & coconut. My friend got the pb crunch (chocolate, peanut butter, & Kit Kat I think) which was good too. I'm definitely coming back for my custom combo or the pb crunch!

I am so glad I was introduced to this place by a family member! I've had rolled ice cream on e before but it was out of state. I had no idea there was an option closer to my home. Our group tried 3 drinks and 3 ice creams. For myself, I ordered the mint base with andes mints as a mix-in and topped with chocolate chips (which was delicious). I particularly enjoyed the taro boba. Next time I'm planning on trying the honeydew ice cream topped with mochi!

Rolled ice cream is legit. It's fun to watch. The galaxy drink we got though was like pure syrup. Took like 30 mins to even get the darn thing because they forgot about it and I had to ask multiple times.

My roommate and I came here on a whim! We literally passed it, and then flipped a U-Turn because it sounded good and dang we weren’t disappointed. Although we ate the rolled ice cream before getting a picture of it, but he got more of a dessert-y flavor (rocky road and peanut butter) and mine was less so (fruit fruit and more fruit!) The woman was super nice and it was delicious, the drinks pictured were super good too! Everything was quick and worth it. Definitely going to be coming back here! Woot woot!

Very tasty treat stop. They have tons of flavor options to choose from, and high quality flavors and fruits. I was very happy at how ripe and sweet the fruit they added to my ice cream was! It's a little pricey for a snack, but definitely a great stop to treat yourself on occasion!

I loved the new experience! I got the Paradise (vanilla ice cream with mango & kiwi & coconut flakes) and my sister got Irish Cream (mocha ice cream with Andes mint, almond and chocolate, I think) and I got a lychee boba tea. The ice cream was delicious! The tea had popping boba and it tasted good, but it was slightly heavier than other boba tea I've had. Also, they don't have a good calling system since they don't take your name with the order. My tea originally went to the party in front of me because I didn't hear them call the order out. When we realized what happened, they quickly made another and brought it to me. But the order guessing game makes this place one star less than awesome for me.

Very unique place with delicious ice cream. I think we had the Paradise bowl, and it was really good (messy, though, since the ice cream kind of flakes/crumbles off). $6 for a bowl is kind of pricey, but it was surprisingly filling. If I'm ever in the area again looking for ice cream, I'll definitely come back here.

I’ve been here a few times now and it’s always a fun time! I’ve always gotten the Taro boba tea and it’s pretty tasty. The ambiance is fun and the employees are young and friendly and bring a nice energy. my sister and I went here late on Christmas eve after spending most of the night in the hospital with my other sister (she’s fine now!) and this was the only boba place in all of SLC that was still open. When we finally got there they were about to close but stayed open just to serve us. They even gave us a ten percent discount for no good reason! Anyway, this place is great and every time I go in I make new happy memories.

Meh. It's really cool to watch how they prep the ice cream, but for the price the ice cream wasn't very good. We like ice cream to be creamy and this felt more like ice cream lite. An ice cream specialty shop shouldn't have to rely on the flavor of mix-ins to make their product taste better.

I would’ve given a 1 star but I didn’t get to try the ice cream so I didn’t feel like I could rate it for the ice cream. I did get a bubble tea though and it was the worst bubble I’ve ever had. The tea was warm and had a strange texture that I don’t get with other bubble teas. And the pearls were so stuck together that I could hardly drink anything. Not that I wanted to after getting a third of the way through the drink because it was not good but it was frustrating and bubble tea should be a happy experience! I’d be down to try the ice cream because it looked good but I won’t be returning for the tea.

Truly amazing!! I am a boba freak! A freak to the point that I'm totally obsessed! So, a statement such such as; Koi D's rolled ice cream is better than any boba I've ever had, is a monumental statement for me to make! Their boabs are beautiful! They reside somewhere along my top 3. But their rolled ice cream dominates!! I typically get a smoothie boba. When most of the drink is gone, I find that it gets pretty icy and watery. You don't get that with ice cream, which is why I believe that it is better. The flavor of the ice cream is much more lavish, velvety, and condensed! God I just love it! I also love the sheer number of flavors and toppings Koi D offers! My favorite toppings include coconut flakes, regular pearls, and mochi. The mochi is absolutely heavenly and goes so good with tapioca pearls. They serve the pearls warm, and I love the contrast of warm and cold with the ice cream! I am a huge fan of this place, and I'll be a customer for as long as I live. haha

I personally like the atmosphere and feel as though it fits the restaurant. Just coming from California, I can appreciate the work they're putting in and the good ice cream they're giving out! The rolled ice cream is definitely a nice twist even though it's essentially still just ice cream, but they have different options they add into the ice cream and there is numerous ways to eat ice cream here. Recommend trying it out and will come back for sure!

this has quickly become my go to boba place. not once have i been disappointed by what i ordered. service can be a little rough during the more busy hours because they seem to be understaffed often, but in my opinion it’s well worth the wait. as for the ice cream, i’m not sure because i have not tried, but the drinks are phenomenal.

They also make the rolled ice cream in front of you and then serve it to you. The portions of rolled ice cream are also very large and you get a lot of ice cream for the amount you pay.

Great ice cream, friendly staff, and **they are FULLY staffed now.** There were four people working yesterday, only waited about 10 minutes and this was because there were already about 20 people in the store. Do not let the look of the place fool you. Their ice cream is delicious. Have been there multiple times and have never had anything we didn't like. The service is excellent, have seen a few different servers and all have been super nice. This is hands down my favorite ice cream place in Salt Lake. I would post a picture of the ice cream I just got today but it is long gone already.

This place is new and I’ve never had Bar rolled ice cream before but I really enjoy it! It’s different but it’s delicious. It’s right downtown so if you get a chance to stop in it’s definitely a good idea. They have a big variety of flavors and toppings. I’m pretty simple and just stuck to like chocolate and Oreos.

Went for the first time and didn't have a bad experience but didn't love it either. I had read about poor wait times but there was a sign letting us know in advance that it takes at least 3 min to make each bowl of Ice cream so I didn't feel like I had to wait long anyway. You get to choose a base (chocolate, vanilla or strawberry) and then two flavors to mix in as well as three toppings. The ice cream had the flavor and texture of dip 'n dots and was really hard to get out of the bowl. The spoons were too flimsy to be able to get much of it out. I chose Kit Kats as a topping and my ice cream came with one single Kit Kat on the side...kind of disappointing. But overall it wasn't bad. Staff was friendly and nice which is a important thing in my book.

Having things is toppings means that halfway through your ice cream, you are missing half the flavor. Didn't really get a whole lot of fruit in the ice cream and the flavor of the ice cream wasn't worth the trip there over Cold Stone.

I'm so glad we decided to drive out here because the ice cream is so delicious and it does not melt as quickly as a normal scoop of ice cream does. The rolling is really fun to watch for my son. Rolled ice cream- nothing like freshly made! Great for choosing your own flavors but since they make it after you order, there is a bit of wait time. Might be a good idea to offer wifi to kill time. I only gave 4 stars cause the order was mistaken and incorrect item was put in, though they offered to remake it with the right fruit, the wait would've been too long so we left with the 'wrong' ice cream - it was still delish, just not exactly what we wanted.

We thought it was just ok. The ice cream was good once it melted a bit. Initially it was dry and crumbly. My topping (marshmallows) were stale...chewy like taffy which was disappointing. Then menu was confusing and a little yucky that the girl who was taking the money and the orders was also putting her hands inside and around the cup tops as she wrote the orders on the cups. We also had a very long wait for our order.

Honestly this was my first experience with rolled ice cream. The atmosphere here was a bit dark and rundown. I found the the menu here to be a little confusing and overwhelming for my first time. We were told to pick a base, a flavor, then a topping which was simple enough, but when my wife picked a topping they told us we couldn't use that one. We were a little confused why it was listed as a topping but couldn't use it. Personally, I would prefer regular ice cream to rolled ice cream.

An absolutely lovely place with delicious ice cream and boba. We loved that there were asian flavors, add-ins, and toppings for the ice cream. We got match ice cream with red bean and mochi. The mochi was so soft and delicate and mixed so well with the ice cream. The boba is really good too. We got the royal milk tea and the thai tea. And it was so good we got it the next day for the way home too.

I parked 10 feet from the door, was greeted immediately by Serena. She made a great suggestion in getting the Blushberry rolled ice cream, nice and sweet! They have a really nice environment where you get to watch the whole process of freezing the cream with fresh berries as they slowly roll into the aesthetically pleasing rolls that they advertise. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a sweet treat near downtown SLC.

My friend got a strawberry lemonade and she liked it so I won't downvote for that. What disappointed me was the ambiance and my drink. The place seemed old and just not very comforting, I got a strawberry/honeydew "slush" with rainbow jelly and it was more of a tea with crushed ice than a slush. Some of chunks of ice were so large that they stopped up my straw if that helps. Fairly disappointed but the service was nice and there was only one woman working.

Great creativity, and acoustics. They just used the radio, but the sound was Good. Great spot for Troubadors, LOVED the Iced Cream, but it was slightly challenging to consume. They rolled up the Iced Cream using an Anti- Griddle at - 20 degrees to freeze, and roll the cream into little rossettes good for eating. It was excellent watching the workers roll the Ice Cream. If I want Iced Cream in SLC I know that this is the perfectly hip place to eat.

Okay...they're not speed demons here. This stuff is made to order but we enjoyed. It's very similar to Sub Zero which uses liquid nitrogen but here the mix-ins are chopped and ice cream is rolled on the anti-griddle. As artisans get more s ask Ned they will be faster. So you "one-star-ers," head on over to Mickey Dees and get your McFlurry!
