I have gone here twice and the gelato tastes great and they have a good variety. Not too many flavors that it would be overwhelming, but enough to keep it interesting. Beautiful interior. Friendly employees. Overall a nice spot.

Visiting from Dallas Ft. Worth and this was one of my first stops. Talk about setting the stage for a grand trip! This place is truly one of the coolest gelato places I have ever been. The moment you walk in the door your eyes are memorized with all the eclectic mix of chandeliers, pictures on the wall etc. The gelato is so yummy and you can even split flavors in each cup if you want. I highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed!

This place is super cute and quirky. The couches are very uncomfortable but the aesthetics are great. I had some hazelnut gelato here that was super yummy, but didn’t love some of the others. They change up the flavors regularly, so it’s hit or miss for me. But I am always bringing friends here because I just love the vibes!

Dolcetti’s is truly unparalleled in the quality of their gelato and just the immense amount of entertaining stuff decorating the restaurant! I love their sticky rice gelato paired with a fruity flavor, but honestly all of their flavors have been delicious! I highly recommend coming in for a cup/cone, leaving your old student ID behind, and searching one of their eye-spy tables with a friend or date!

Me and my husband stopped in today. First of all,.what a cool and unique place inside. As soon as we stepped.inside we were like this cool . Awesome decor. Popular spot for Gelato! I got half mango and half forest berry, and my gf got the mango sticky rice, which was interesting, and had bits of actual rice. The decor inside looked like an antique store with old cushy couches, and tables. Will come back to try other flavors!

Came in here for some gelato and some dirty chais and it was amazing! The gelato is amazing... We could have eaten pints of it (a pint for ourselves 🤤) The gals working made a great dirty chai. Prices were great and the service was excellent. It can get really busy during the summer so plan accordingly. The inside of the shop is a MUST SEE! So many trinkets and statures and chandeliers all over. It's a visually stimulating place to be!

The actual Gelato is incredible! It's made fresh everyday and melts into your mouth. Not too heavy, but not too light. I do wish the flavors were a little more potent. The biscotti was amazing, but the chocolate was not the dark, Italian flavor I was looking for. However, the Honey lavender and pomegranate was right there with flavor and texture. The collectic interior of the environment was pretty overwhelming. The wave of little kick-knacks was drowning the intentional charm. But, your not there for the old lady decor, right? The Gelato itself is worth going multiple times.

Yummmmmyyyyyy!! This is a fun experience in salt lake on 9th and 9th. Al kinds of crazy things to look at and the Gelato is sooo good. Walk up the sidewalk and do some people watching.

Really fun space to enjoy some very good dessert. They have a wide variety of gelato and sorbet flavors that rotate occasionally. They also have other desserts and coffee. The gelatos I’ve tried have all been excellent. This trip I tried tiramisu and mango sticky rice. Coconut sticky rice is a normal flavor for them. The mango wasn’t pronounced but added a fun splash of flavor. The tiramisu tasted good, but the bars within felt dry from being frozen. The staff are nice, prices are fair (keep in mind gelato is super filling so don’t be surprised by the small dish), and the space is super quirky and fun!

Pretty good, we loved the variety of flavors. The decor is interesting too, lots of chandeliers hanging everywhere, knick knacks filling every walk and ceiling space. We used a coupon from the "AverageDaters" on IG for BOGO. Three grande purple cups were plenty for 5 of us.

Tonight was my first day in Salt Lake City and my friend wanted to bring me and my fiance here because she loves this place and I can definitely understand why! 😋 The ambiance and decor are fun and quirky and the gelato flavors are wonderful! There is a nice range of flavor options and you can pick two flavors per cup, too. I noticed Dolcetti also offers drinks (warm and cold) and pastries such as macaroons and muffins. The portion sizes are perfect because the small is just the right amount to enjoy a sweet treat without feeling overwhelmed. 🤗 However, the prices are a little high for a small amount of gelato in my opinion. This may be because I'm from Columbus, OH but I think we paid almost $20 for 4 people. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this location to locals and travelers and I hope I get to visit here once more while in Utah. 🍨

Quirky but comfortable environment with delicious gelato! I went with a group of friends and we were able to try 8 different flavors. They were all delicious, some had more impressive flavor profiles than others, but all were enjoyed! I was really wowed by the passionfruit guava, coconut stick rice, and cold brew. Great place for some awesome Gelato! We got the mango sorbet and blueberry white chocolate. As you can see we chowed down our gelatos before I took the pictures LOL. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that is in need of that sweet tooth. I don’t know if they usually have more selections that would only be my suggestion is more variety. I found Dolcetti "by accident" in that I happened to stay at an excellent Airbnb right across 9th South. So I stepped out the door of my room, looked left, and there was the Dolcetti sign. It was Saturday morning at 8:30am but, hey, never too early for gelato. I was lucky I went so early because I walked in, was served right away, and enjoyed their reportedly famous "coconut sticky rice" gelato paired with some mango sorbet. The owner recommended it and was super nice to me, despite it being my first time. I say lucky because that same night, at 8:00pm, I decided to take my teenagers over there. We stepped out our door and, boom, that's almost where Dolcetti's line ended. They had customers spilling down the street. People were willing to wait any amount of time. We went back inside and checked occasionally to see if the line went down. It moved fast, but didn't get smaller. Finally about 9:00pm we joined the queue and it took only about 15 minutes to get served. Again, well worth the wait. The owner saw me back again the same day and thanked me for coming in twice. Anyway, we'll be regulars now, when we're in Utah. You should go.

Great little Gelato shop. The assortment of flavors was quite plentiful. Prices were somewhat steep but reasonable for the quality and flavor. The waffle cone was a great touch to complete the gelato experience, although it is very thin and you have to be careful not to break it. I'd definitely come back with friends in the future.

This Gelato is amazing, it's the perfect dessert place after any meal. Today I came here after lunch and tried the Mexican chocolate and the Pistachio flavors. Thereafter I was talking about it all through dinner, and convinced my friends to come here for dessert. This time I tried the Coconut sticky rice, cuz that's what everyone recommended, but didn't have it earlier. I thought the coconut flavor was rich and creamy, but I didn't really like the hard sticky rice, cuz the rice was hard to bite and would get stuck to my teeth. Overall, I love this place and definitely will be returning to try the rest of the flavors! If you don't know what to get, the Pistachio is the safest option.

One of the best Gelato ice creams to be had in Salt Lake City. Their Sticky Rice is a crowd puller, while new and unique flavors keep doing the rounds. They also serve great coffee, which is another plus. Located at the happening 9th & 9th intersection, this place cannot be missed.

Dolcetti is a quirky gelato store close to campus. It seems to attract more or a college crowd. The vibe was great with the ecclectic furnishings and dorm room feel. This place has some top notch gelato. So much so in fact I think 3 other gelato shops opened up around it to try to compete. They for sure do not hold back on the flavors, Rose Petal Water? Sticky Rice Pudding? Delightful, and fun to sit out on the patio and look at all the posh 9th and 9th fanfare.

Mmm. The rosewater gelato was heavenly! Kudos to the owner of Dolcetti and their effort to create an eclectic corner where deliciousness is served by a lovely lady who reminded me of a modern day Frida Kahlo (minus the uni brow). You gotta check out the curious shadowbox table with the mysterious little artifacts in it. It's quite the sight!

Excellent place for Gelato! I've been here about 5 or 6 times now and everytime I go they have multiple different flavors. Some are staple of course but most rotate in and out. I love that rotation, its a great way to spice it up! The place is clean and original in design, the food is great quality, and the service has been wonderful. This place is also home to the best cup of hot chocolate that I've ever had in my opinion. If you're looking for a nice place to grab a quick fix for your sweet tooth then give these guys a visit. My favorite dessert stop.

There are gelato flavors for everyone with everything from peach to whiskey to pistachio. Also don’t sleep on their baked goods- their macarons are some of the best in SLC! If you have some time to enjoy the inside, you’ll be rewarded with some i-Spy nostalgia as you peer through vintage decor including handmade tables and chandeliers. It’s definitely a part of what makes Dolcetti a neighborhood staple with the lovely character and delightful gelato!

A neighborhood staple that I love bringing my grandparents to. This neighborhood is delightful, and the corner gelato shop really helps set the tone. Great gelato, amazing assortment of flavors, and the people watching is on point. If you haven't tried the coconut sticky rice gelato and those flavors excite you, then I urge you to try it. I don't love the interior decor, but that's just me and it does not reflect on my opinion of the reason you're there in the first place.

This might be my favorite spot in all of SLC. I love coming and studying in here during the day, their house hot teas are incredible. My partner is a native italian and gives his two thumbs up to the gelato as well. I'm always excited for the lemon sorbetto and the coconut sticky rice! One of my favorite gelato places in SLC who also offer coffee. The decor is very cozy and cute with mismatched chairs and gorgeous table layouts. Perfect for hanging out with friends. Great spot and it's right at the 9th and 9th, excellent location. My favorite flavors here are pistachio and peach. You cannot go wrong with those.

I adore this place; it's one of my favorite places to take myself on a date and I greatly appreciate the late hours. The gelato itself is masterfully delicious and the vibe is artsy but not overwhelmingly so; it feels cozy and open to any sort of person. The interior decorating is unique and beautiful (and maximalist!!) and the view from the counter in front of the main window is so relaxing. Would definitely recommend! They also have outdoor seating available.

The gelato here is so creamy and tasty! I love that every time I come here, there’s always a new set of flavors to choose from. It’s nice being able to sample the different flavors and find out which ones I like most. So far the only other thing I’ve tried here are the macarons which are so soft, sweet, and satisfying. The decor at this place is also quite unique and lovely. It fits the overall mood and is the perfect setting for enjoying some delicious gelato.

the restaurant is so cute! i love all the decor and antiques in the shop. they have more than just gelato but i only tried that for my first time. i got a prailine and pecan flavor, and the panacotta one as well, i didn’t love either flavor though which was unfortunate. i like that you can put two flavors into one cup! i also tried the chocolate which was pretty good, not too sweet. and i tried the whiskey one as well which was definitely interesting! i would go back to try more flavors, they have quite a bit, and i would go back to try their baked goods as well!

Love the atmosphere-so much to feast your eyes on! I tried the pear and the peach flavors. (You can get 2 flavors in any size cup, by the way. They have a sign that says this but I didn't notice it until after the lovely staff person told me.) The peach was fine, but I didn't really get much pear flavor-it just tasted like sweet cream to me. My friend had the passion fruit and the forest berry which were both delicious. They also have some macrons and other pastries as well as a variety of coffee and non-coffee beverages. I tried the lemon, lime, lavender soda by Taproot, a local company, and found it really yummy. They have little signs in the seating area saying, "Please limit visits to 30 minutes". Unfortunately we didn't see these until we were leaving after having spent probably an hour chatting. It wasn't very busy while we were in, but I can imagine it might get very busy and seats might be at a premium. I'd definitely go back again!

Their gelato is great with all the classic flavors and wonderful seasonal additions and improvements every day. The decor is absolutely darling and the trinkets everywhere make the space so inviting and welcoming.This is a great place to go to study or work or just to hang out with friends. The counter staff is phenomenal, the product is artisan, the owners are passionate, and the store has plenty of personality. I wouldn’t recommend their coffee based on my recent experience. The espresso machine’s group head looked to need a new gasket; the shot leaked water onto the portafilter handle and came out weak.

Very delicious gelato in a very unique and comforting atmosphere. They have plenty of choices of flavors and the prices are appropriate for the quality and quantity of gelato that you can get. Great ice cream place to visit. If you're in the area and want something to cool you off, or something sweet, be sure to stop by. When ordering, you are able to get two flavors (additional price for more). If you're not sure what mixes well, don't be afraid to ask for their recommendations! Their sizing is also pretty reasonable. I got their smallest size, later thinking it might be too little, but it was honestly perfect for me. Their atmosphere is also very intricate, something you wouldn't see everyday. Definitely will be coming back more often!

A+ I had two large gelatos. The best singular flavor was chocolate, pomegranate was also very good. I will try other flavors in the future. I've had gelato in the past, but I should eat it more often. Gelato seems less sugary than ice cream and the creamy/fatty thing going on is equally as satisfying. This place was funky and fun, the gelato was delicious and good portion sizes. My only complaint was the person dipping up my gelato I asked for the chocolate and she gave me some light vanilla colored flavor. I will give her a pass though because we're wearing masks and it is hard to hear. I didn't complain I just ate the gelato I was given and it was good.

Absolutely amazing gelato and great commitment to social distancing guidelines. I got a small coconut sticky rice gelato cup with friends and after I finished, I decided it was so good I'd go ahead and get a quart of the same thing, along with a pint of one of their more interesting flavors (cherry balsamic). Both were amazing and my SO and I ate through everything super quick. Definitely will be making the trek out here again.

So many good flavor options. I got the dark chocolate and strawberry in my cup. I think a small is plenty enough for one person. I'm anxious to come back and try other flavors. This shop is a must visit if you love gelato! Every flavor is distinct and exquisite! Today we had biscotti and chocolate. Both were delicious 🤤. But the chocolate was soooo smooth and rich. Like a dark chocolate fudge cream! Mmm! And that's just the gelato! The shop itself is eclectic extreme, to the point of being a unique piece of art! So many custom and vintage pieces! It's like walking into a pleasantly vivid dream, plus ... Ice cream! And coffee! Trust me, this shop is usually very busy for a reason! Never thought I’d enjoy eating rice in a frozen dessert but I totally did. This place is decked out in random sculptures, art, and weird “Utah” memorabilia. My favorite sighting has been the Salt Lake Temple adorned with six spiral clam shells on top. It really is a fun destination to grab some different kind of ice cream/gelato The owner is super nice, and shares freely his love of the art of making gelato and confectionery scrumptiousness. The lavender macaroons are amazing, so is the drinking chocolate. Honestly you can’t make a bad purchase, everything is delicious. This place reminds me of a ice cream shop in Portland called Salt and Straw. If you have been there, you know the odd pairing of flavors are actually great.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. It opened when I was a little kid and I've been going there ever since and only getting one flavor. I love the coconut sticky rice and it's been my favorite for a long time. The place itself is super nice and cozy there is also these cute tables that have miniature toys inside them to play ispy with my family. There is also a variety of customer choice flavors that I think are released and made every once and a while. Overall, I'm obsessed with this place.

I love the feel of it here. They sell amazing gelato, but that isn't the only reason to go. There are cute little couches you can sit at, there are beautiful chandeliers, and there are even some cute little green army figurines set up that I'll let you find yourself. They don't only sell cold things, you could also get yourself a coffee or something if you aren't feeling the chill. They even sell dark chocolate. Would definitely recommend for a fun hang-out or even part of a fun date.

Fabulous gelato! This is my second time there, and the flavors are fantastic. They cycle through flavors and they didn't have the honeycomb flavor (with actual honeycomb) that I had last time. I recommend the coconut. If you find the gelato too thick, they have free water to wash it down. There was quite a line when I arrived, but service was fast and friendly. The decor was also interesting, though somehow a branch ended up on the floor behind me.

This place is awesome! Atmosphere is very quirky, but fun. We tried this place for dessert and they were awesome to give samples. We came a couple hours before closing so some of the flavors that I wanted to try were out, but the ones we had were awesome. Coconut sticky rice was my favorite. I loved the white cacao, too. Pistachio was awesome and my husband loved the chocolate and Macaron. I hope to come back and try passionfruit and lavender. You can park in the street or around the block. This is a fun place to hangout or to study. We will defintely be back.

Without a doubt, Dolcetti Gelato is one of my all time favorite places to go for a treat or dessert. Their gelato is absolutely fantastic, the best I've ever had for sure. It may seem kind of pricey for the size of serving you get, however it's well worth the money. They make their gelato fresh every morning and are always offering new unique flavors. I've had Lavender Blueberry, Rosemary Balsamic, Rosewater, and several other flavors and I have NEVER been disappointed. I highly recommend the Rosemary Balsamic though, such an amazing unique flavor. The whole atmosphere of the building is just as unique as their gelato and helps enhance the customer's experience.

If you are going anywhere but Dolcetti for Gelato, you're doing it wrong. Their gelato bursts with so much flavor, they offer unique flavors that are fresh and taste so freaking good! 10/10 would recommend. At certain times of the day they may have a line, but it's worth the wait, the building is small but has a really creative seating arrangement, and I think it smells so good, if you dont want gelato they have cookies, macroons, and coffee, Dolcetti is amazing!

This place has great service and great tea, especially fun and hip vibe with a coziness to it. However, im giving it just three stars because, in the beginning, the whole point of dolcetti according to its owners was they wanted to bring back from Italy the authenticity of the gelato, which they did: true gelato is churned with milk, not cream, for hours and hours. The results are thick and dense gelato with its own creaminess to it and all the natural milk sugars broken down to make it sweeter, thus needing less sugar than American ice cream, and much richer than cream itself. It lays low and flat into the pans. I came back to dolcetti recently and found that they switched it up to “imposter” gelato, which is basically ice cream with hydrogen added to it to make it super fluffy with added refined sugars and artificial coloring, and gives the look of “overflowing” the pan. It still tastes great there, but It’s cheap, quick, yet they charge almost the same premium without it being real and with real flavors. Thanks dolcetti for misleading your customers about your story and selling out 🤷‍♂️. This what I’ve observed in my own opinion after visiting Rome and learning the art of true gelati/gelato. *update* In response to the owners; I just know the difference and It’s too sugary for me, and not the same dense, creamy quality that I’m used to. The flavors are still amazing, but not what I’ve experienced as true Italian as in Rome and Milan. Its ice cream with better flavor and rich, creamy texture! I could be wrong, but I myself have noticed a change, definitely. I’m sure you’re protecting your assets, for what company ever admits a downgrade? You do have amazing tea, and I support that. 😉 I recommend the coconut-almond lavender tea! 👍

So, so good! Best gelato I've had in a very long time (and I have tried many a gelatería ;) ). We went with our kids and everyone tried two flavors, so even though I've only been here once, I can vouch for almost ten of their flavors! I loved some more than others-- the sorbettis are especially amazing and the black currant was my personal favorite (though my husband said it was too strong a flavor for him). And the décor was really cool; my kids liked playing "I spy" with their amazing diorama-like tables. The cups look tiny, but you get more than you think, and I felt it was a great value for the quality!

The guy who served us our gelato was great and very kind, but when I went to pay, the cashier left me pretty much on my own to do the tranasction, which seemed very strange. The interior of the store is filled with fun furniture, wall hangings, and other fun knicknacks that decorate and light up the space. There is also plenty of great outdoor seating for summer customers.

Don’t think, just go. This place is a true gem for any city, and it just so happens to be in SLC. The owners have literally flown in a gelato consultant from Italy to develop the recipe and train others to do so. I probably had at least 3-4 cups of gelato in every major European city and this rivals about 90% of them. Honestly, truly. They actually care about the gelato they are producing. Probably the best gelato place in Salt Lake City. These guys are always busy, so try to catch them on a weekday. Their coconut rice flavor is the most popular flavor by far, so they run out constantly. They have a lot of other flavors that are fantastic, so you don’t need to cry about that. 9th and 9th is a fantastic location to walk around, get a bite to eat, and finish off with dessert here.

Good gelato, but nothing breath-taking. I am by no means the end-all critic, but nothing compares to Italy itself. The atmosphere is extremely laid-back and comfortable with decor to match. Plenty of seating inside, but not too much space outside. They offer a variety of goods, almost exclusively specialty goods, but I only tried the gelato. Possibly a little pricey, but you generally realize it's going to feel expensive when you're buying gelato.
