When you step in the facility your nose is hit with a smell that ignites happiness. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. They are fast as well. I like the location as I just moved into the area. This is a perfect spot to hit when after eating at one of the many restaurants in the area. I will be back.

In honor of National Ice Cream day, with so many amazing shops in the valley, we decided to try a known place we've never visited in Utah. Last time I tried Cold Stone Creamery was a couple of years ago in the East Coast (Brooklyn, NY), and it was pretty good. Being a nationwide franchise, how much could the quality have changed? We decided to find out! When we arrived, there was a long line extending outside the store. Although there were a couple of employees hard at work, the line was long, and barely moving. After almost 40 mins of waiting to be served, we finally reached the counter. Usually I ask for samples to try before buying, but this time I didn't want to be "that guy" that holds up the line. It was a good thing that I had more than ample time to scrutinize the menu, and know what I wanted. As a mint lover, I was torn between the "Cookie Mintster", or trying something else that I like-"Mud Pie Mojo". Since I’m always eating mint, I decided to try the Mud Pie Mojo, because of the unique Oreo and coffee combo. We also ordered the "Cheesecake Fantasy". Midway making the Mud Pie Mojo, the employee tells us they're out of Oreos, and that they'll substitute with brownies. I wanted Oreos; if they didn't have the necessary ingredients, they should've told us prior to starting the order, I would've gladly changed it. They gave the Cheesecake Fantasy in a waffle cone, when I asked for a waffle cup. We sat in the seating area of the restaurant next door. Cold Stone only had one table inside and another outside, but it was too congested. The Cheesecake Fantasy was a blend of Graham Cracker Pie Crust, Strawberries, and Raspberries (we substituted it for the default Blueberries); it tasted like proper cheesecake, it was amazing! However for the improvised Coffee ice cream, it was nothing more than disappointing. The coffee flavor was very mild, I could barely taste the flavor in it. Brownie and coffee don't mix too well, it gave it a bitter, too sweet overall taste-I couldn't finish it. As it is located in the heart of the Sugar House area, parking can be scarce to find. There are no legal street parking spots in front of the store, but you may be lucky to find some across the street. The store isn't the most spacious, but shouldn't be too bad during non rush hours or special occasions; I wish they had more of a seating area. Overall the quality is great, but pricier than your usual ice cream parlors. The 3 sizes they have (Like It, Love It, and Gotta Have It) don't proportionally slide up in price and portion quantity. I'll be back to try their other Signature Creations, hopefully they’ll have Oreos next time! Update (8/5/19): We went in 10 minutes before they closed (nobody likes that customer), while they were cleaning and ready to close. I asked if they’re open, and the worker annoyingly went to serve us, without answering my question. I asked for the Cheesecake Fantasy, while the manager came out to help. I asked if they can substitute the blueberries with raspberries instead, and put it in a cone. I asked the manager for her recommendations for the mint ice cream, because they didn’t have the coffee flavor toppings when they started to make it (see my previous review). She hesitantly replied Cookie Mintster, so I ordered that..

I went there with my kids at about 9:00 PM, and the line was nearly out the door. We waited more than 30 minutes before it was our turn to be served. There were two young men who were on staff. They were obviously overwhelmed by the number of people in line, but they were handling it well (they should have had 2 more employees on duty to handle the crowd). When we ordered, one of the employees told us that the freezer was having issues, so many of the ice cream flavors were soft and runny. Once again, the staff was friendly, but the quality of the product was disappointing. After we received our order, the line was still 10-15 people long.

5 HUGE stars! These three ladies made my son feel so important. He has a peanut allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure that his ice cream was made separately and in the back, away from everything else. He usually goes without but not this time! Thank you for making him smile!!

Went here today craving cheesecake ice cream, and tried something new with it. Best toppings combo I’ve ever had. The staff was so fast and attentive, I didn’t catch her name but the brunette/blonde girl working tonight was so sweet and did a great job on our ice creams.

The staff was very friendly and the store was clean. I always love the selection of ice cream at Cold Stone and the smell of freshly cooked waffle cones! It is a convenient location to get lunch or dinner and then desert here! I attended their grand opening and they had tons of activities for kids and free ice cream! It was a fun "party" to welcome the store to the community! I have been here a few times since, and they have yet to disappoint! The cake batter ice cream is the best!!

For me, Cold Stone ice cream is a 5 star product, but the customer experience today at this location was really bad. The employee seemed annoyed to talk to anyone, the lady in front of me ordered a mango smoothie but the ingredients to make it were still completely frozen so she had to order something else, the cookie dough and Reese's cups weren't ready, and they didn't have any Founder's Favorite premade in the freezer.

I frequent Coldstone at least a couple times a month and exclusively choose this location. I have never had any outstanding issues in the past, it is normally just the average experience you would expect from an ice cream shop. But this particular visit stood out tremendously! We were greeted with such enthusiasm and given exceptional attention and customer service! Kylie was so patient and prompt and friendly and accommodating! 2 thumbs up for Kylie’s upbeat and welcoming demeanor for making our experience so smooth and fun and delicious :)

First off, I love Coldstone! It's one of my happy places. I go no matter what town I'm in, even Hawaii. But the Sugar House location is the exception to an otherwise great ice cream experience. I've given it multiple tries and been disappointed in the small mix in portions compared to other locations. Never again. This time she split a 1/4 banana between 2 Gotta Have It's! What's the point?! Luckily there's other locations, but I'd avoid Sugar House.

I love Cold Stone for two reasons: the amazing ice cream and the great employees. I went to their Highland location today and was blown away by Joey’s customer service. He really did go above and beyond to make me feel welcome and he definitely put a smile on my face.

Out of all the cold stones in the area this one is consistently the worst. Rarely have waffle cones. Inexperienced slow employees. Never consist ratio of “mix-ins”. Door dash makes everything very slow. It seems they come first to even in store costumers. I come here a lot due to proximity to home with my fingers crossed but usually ends in disappointment. If you look at a lot of the comments, it seems many people are having similar issues with this store.

Who doesn't like Cold Stone? I just wish they had some vegan options here. But it's hard to find an ice cream place that will make you such a great creation. They have all sorts of toppings and they fold the toppings into your ice cream. They also have waffle cones and all different types of ice cream bowls. I just went and watch my husband eat ice cream. Please get some non-dairy options soon.

Great service. I ordered the gummy bears on the side of my ice cream for my toddler and they were very generous. Also, they give parking validation if you park in the underground parking. Bathroom was clean and spacious.

It was a busy night but things moved quickly. The ice cream is great. We were a big group and it was hard to find nearby parking for everyone. Most of it is regular 2-hour street parking.

Clearly the novel process of preparing sweets as they do is intriguing. But the way the store is laid out and the way that the staff greet customers makes me feel like I'm just in another chain restaurant. You will only keep us enthralled if your staff were more engaged. Let's have employees who greet the customers with more than have levels of excitement and not disdain. Furthermore having only one employee at the counter when there are long lines of people waiting for their treat diminishes the joy of the entire process. If you do not improve these processes the novelty of your preparation process will quickly wear off. You'd benefit from some type of profit sharing regard with your employees (Google it).

Love this place so much, there are so many options of icecream that are all delicious and creamy. Many toppings to mix in or just top your wonderful dessert. The staff always seems happy to help and serve, and they always work fast to get it to you as fast as they can.

The ice cream was good but it took forever. There were only 2 people ahead of me and it took like 15 minutes. I got the Oreo Overload but replaced the vanilla with banana ice cream. Really good combo

This was a cute little ice cream shop. The ice cream itself was really good. The parking however was a mystery. You can park on the street and play Frogger with the cars on Highland drive or you can walk. Your choice.

Cute and quaint, perfect location for an after dinner treat. Parking is little difficult considering that the only free parking is a small lot, but most restaurants do validate for the underground parking.

I was given my ice cream in a non-cold stone creamery cup that was smaller then their original cups. I guess they where out but that isn't an excuse to be served less ice cream then I should be and be charged the same price.
