I’ve had gelato from many different places and there’s is right at or near top top of the list when it comes to flavor and variety! The atmosphere is nice at this place too. I’ve always had good customer service. Sometimes they can get pretty busy, so keep that in mind.

Delicious! Their blueberry flavor (Maine wild blueberry crisp) was great but I didn't like the crunchy oats that they put in , it was too big and tough. Their torched marshmallow flavor was amazing. The marshmallows weren't tough or frozen. Mango and lemon flavors were as expected. Delicious.

ABSOLUTELY ADDICTIVE. So many flavors, and the staff really knows how to mix and match. I got spicy mango with sweet cream and it was one of the best things I have ever tasted! Also the staff is very aware of allergens and lots of gluten free, and dairy free options. Options that are both gluten and dairy free are marked with red scoop handles to make it easy for customers who need to know.

The gelato was very tasty And even the smallest serving was plentiful for an adult. Any serving size you can request more than one flavor. There is fun group sofa seating in the back with a shelf of board games to play with friends. Little pricey fun treat once in a while

My day is always made better with a visit to Gelato Fiasco! The gelato here is so smooth and creamy, and they have so many flavors. Personal fav is the Netflix and Chill (PB base with PB cups) and caramel and cookies, but they often have rotating seasonal flavors! I love this location because of the many small tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the ice cream. Definitely worth a visit!

The gelato fiasco is amazing! Everything is homemade. The flavors frequently change. They have an online menu that displays their daily flavors. The gelato and sorbetto are similar to what I’ve had in Italy. Would recommend in Brunswick or Portland! Nice coffee shop vibe inside

First time we ordered Wold Maine Blueberry crisp- best ever!!!! We also had Torched s'more marshmallow, heavenly!! We fell in love with the Gelato that we had to go out of the way to come back on our way back home to PA! Second time we had Banana Boat (attached image) and Summer School- both delicious again! Don't think you could go wrong picking a flavor! Their website gives a great description of the flavors! We had great service both visits as well!

Really enjoy this place. Has a great sore better. I am dairy-free but I love how they have so many options for me there. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and my friend ordered the pineapple ginger coconut and they were both very delicious and very filling.

I work at Hatch Home on Maine Street in Brunswick, right up the street from Gelato Fiasco. I visited briefly this afternoon and Jeff, who brought me a coffee, served me two samples of gelato and was as friendly and welcoming as a salesperson could be!!! Way to go, Jeff! We need more people like you in the world. I’ll definitely be back & happy to recommend you! Great job!!!

Gelato Fiasco is like that best friend you are lucky to find. They always have those special qualities you love them for, yet they often surprise you with the unexpected. Their gelato is consistently perfect, with a menu of regular flavors and a vault of over a thousand flavors and you never know exactly what you’ll find — and that’s half the fun. I have seen unique flavors like Rosewater Mint, Maple Bacon, and Lime Jalapeño. They embrace the seasons with special flavors like Apple Caramel Pecan Marscapone, Apple Cider and Doughnuts, Pumpkin Pie, Fall in Bourbon County, just to name a few of their autumn flavors. It’s the only place I’ve been able to mix the weirdest flavors together and yet, somehow it all works out. It’s kinda miraculous that way. Along with their consistently delicious gelato is their consistently great attitude. They seem to love what they do, and I don’t think I’ve ever been treated with anything other than pleasantness and kindness. If you’ve had a bad day, this should be your go-to place for a delicious, happy boost!

We came from Kansas to visit family today. After dinner we were looking for a place that we could all get dessert. My daughter is lactose intolerant, but loves ice cream. It is hard for us to find something she can eat, let alone that has any variety. We were in awe of the variety, but the taste blew us away! I had the strawberry rhubarb and couldn't believe the amazing flavors! It was unanimous, we may come back to Maine just to get gelato!

I don't know why Fiasco is in the business' name, other than that it rhymes because the place is well run, even though the place was very busy on a cold Saturday night. I ordered the dark chocolate mint gelato. No cold headache! I could feel the tang of the chocolate in the back of my throat! Yummy! You are encouraged to stay by the board games stacked on a shelf. Old style of Monopoly available. Maybe Millennials Monopoly will be available one day. Friendly staff. Large selection. Coffee and cookies available. The business has been open for eleven years.

Definitely try the blueberry crisp if you want to try something unique in the best ice cream place you can find in Maine according to Travel+Leisure, also nowadays you can try the flavors before ordering. Another awesome thing about this place is that they close at 11PM even on Sundays. So don't miss this spot.

Delicious Gelato with a variety of flavors! Friendly and flexible staff. We sampled multiple flavors and were able to get as many different flavors as we wanted in on dish. Lemon was my absolute favorite. We got a mix of 10 different flavors and everything was exceptional.

Oh my goodness this place serves the best gelato!! Super cool atmosphere along with great customer service and delicious gelato, is why of course I have to give them 5 stars. This gelato was so good it had me seriously considering moving here. Lol. But seriously they have a rewards card where you can earn free gelato. Umm I would probably gain like an easy hundred pounds from an incentive like this. They are a little pricey but a hint that I didn’t learn until after I went for seconds was they’ll put as many flavors as you want into a small. Which for me if I had known sooner I would have tested this by getting all of the flavors offered. I did try about 10 different kinds and all were spectacular. Which only made it harder on me when it came time to choose.

Recently relocated to Brunswick and finally got a chance to try this place out after passing it multiple times in historic downtown Brunswick. I took my kids for an after dinner dessert and not one of us were disappointed. You start off with great service and have the option to try as many flavors as you want before settling. Two of us went with the Smore Gelato they had on the menu that day and my daughter chose old fashioned chocolate. All 3 of us went with the mediums and we were lucky enough that they still had some of their homemade waffle cones. Medium is more than enough to satisfy that sweet tooth in my opinion. We can't wait to go back and try more flavors. Such a cute, clean place to go to for your sweet tooth needs.

What fun! The service was prompt, friendly, and inviting and the gelato was rich, creamy, and fantastic! Lots of flavor options. We came for the gelato and loved the flavors we tried, but were also incredibly impressed by the strawberry rhubarb sorbetto! The Maine Wild Blueberry Crisp gelato in a waffle cone is a classic and the affogato with Dark Chocolate Noir was a great combo and a fun twist. Definitely recommend and will return.

Coming from an ice cream connoisseur... this is one of the best ice cream spots in the world. For a little over five dollars you get a homemade waffle cone and a as many flavors as you want to fill it with. A sizable amount of ice cream, really friendly staff and cool owner, and a red spoon club with free gelato, backed by compostable spoons!

July 1, 2022 Gelato Fiasco catered our Welcome Dinner Dessert for our son's wedding weekend, July 1, 2022. It was a perfect dessert for a hot Summer night in July. So delicious, smooth and cool. We had a great experience working with Mitch Newlin at Gelato Fiasco, based in Brunswick and Portland, Maine. He is lightning fast at responding and thoroughly answers all questions. The gelato is made from scratch, with hundreds of flavors to choose from. You can taste test many of their flavors. They can accommodate different food restrictions, you can even make your own flavor. We renamed one of their flavors for our bride and groom. The presentation was very attractive and the server was well dressed and very professional. The price was very fair, serving size perfect(you could always go back for more-and we did). Gelato Fiasco supplies everything; dishes, spoons, napkins. They set up, take down and even box up and leave the left overs.(if any) I would highly recommend Gelato Fiasco. Fantastic gelato, selection, and people. The fruit flavors (especially mango) are what I tend to go for; however, the coffee and chocolate flavors are also amazing. Best thing is you can sample anything before you decide. I have been to a few of there locations and they are good - this one is great. Check it out if you haven't, bring your guests if you have!

The Baskin Robbins 31 flavors of Gelato! This place has probably more than 31 flavors with each one meticulously created like a masterpiece work of art. It's not just a taste, it's an experience! I remember trying Gelato for the first time at this store and had a Ratatouille moment. It transported me to a whole new dimension of cuisine experience that I didn't know existed. I've since tried Gelato in many states and regions and keep coming back here. Like loosing your "v-card" you'll never forget it. I compare every Gelato experience to this place and every other place has fallen short. The flavor selections are amazing and widespread. The staff are super friendly. The layout of the place is great with couches, tables, stools etc as well as outside seating. They have, "happiness in a cup" which is chocolate gelato turned into hot chocolate that will nock your socks off. The coffee is great. The prices are reasonable. They're meticulous about not mixing flavors in the display case but they'll gladly mix flavors for you in your cup. The waffle cones are awesome. If you don't know what flavor you want they'll gladly let you taste some flavors. They also have a loyalty rewards called the red spoon society. They even sell gelato at some major grocery stores at least as far south as Virginia. Trying this place is a must experience if you're visiting in the state.

THE HYPE IS REAL!! Definitely worth the try as the gelato is DELICIOUS and they have a huge variety of flavors. Try to go sooner in the day because they run out of flavors pretty fast. LOVE their special recycling bin for the red spoons and the cups.

I have not been to the store, but I have purchased their gelato by the pint in my grocery store in Tennessee. The first pint I got was not smooth like gelato should be, so I contacted them via the website. They mailed me a coupon for a free pint. They said they made some improvements in their shipping procedures. The second pint was much better. I have since purchased a third pint of dark chocolate caramel sea-salt and it is exquisite. All three of the flavors come through so vividly. I have been a Talenti customer for quite a while, but I might start buying Gelato Fiasco more frequently. It is usually cheaper, and I appreciate that it is still as small locally-owned company, they're not local to me. Talenti has been bought out by Unilever.

Incredibly delicious!!! Worth going out of your way for! It is just some of the best gelato or ice cream in the world. Even compares favorably to gelato in Italy. It is simply superb with some amazing, special flavors. Smores, Madagascar vanilla, fresh cream, chocolate, sweet rasghum, toasted coconut, and of course Maine blueberry crisp. Staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful!! Appreciate fitting in multiple flavors!

If you are visiting Brunswick this is a must stop. Gelato Fiasco has customer service which far exceeds anywhere I've ever patronized. You want to try 20 flavors before ordering, no problem. They'll do it with a smile. You want 10 flavors in your treat size cup, they'll do it with pleasure. They are knowledgeable about every flavor. The gelato selection is far and wide and is the best I've tried. The flavors are right on with their names. The environment is relaxing with tables, stools and some comfortable chairs and sofas. They have games if you want to sit and relax. Don't forget to have a cup of coffee, it's pour over and it's a great cup of Joe!

Delicious! Our group had "Cookie Therapy" (cookies and cream, with real Oreos. a classic.), "Toasted Coconut", and "Double Caramel & Cookies" (caramel gelato with Oreos and caramel swirled in. Very sweet, but fantastic.) All were great choices.

My favorite place to go! The staff is always great and willing to let you try whatever you want and be very helpful and friendly. They know what flavors are gluten free. If you ask what's in it they'll be able to describe every candy piece or fruit flavor in great detail. They always have creative and unique flavors that leave me coming back for more! However they don't change all of their flavors so if you have a few that are dear to your heart you can always chow down!

Tried mango, toasted coconut, blueberry crisp, and tiramisu this time and they are all delicious. When you think of how you’d want these flavors to taste, that’s how this place does them. They have all kinds of others to choose from. The gelatos are so sweet, cold, and yummy. Open late, nice comfortable atmosphere, even when it’s busy, it’s still a nice place. People are pleasant, prices are great. We love this place. Never been to the other location down the way in Portland but it exists. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing staff! They make an effort to get you exactly what you want. Even had a worker tell me about a time where they gave someone 40 flavors in a dish 😆 I’ve been coming here for years because of the delicious and unique flavors and fun staff. I even went to Italy in April and was surprised to find that the gelato at Gelato Fiasco is more delicious and more creative than anywhere I experienced in Italy. Truly authentic, delicious gelato. You have to try it!

Not only was the gelato amazing, but the employees were too. The very friendly young man with blonde hair made all my dreams come true. He said I could have as many flavors as I wanted in my waffle cone. I picked three and let him pick the fourth, and he picked a superb flavor AND gave me extra crunchies for on top. Across five of us I tried 10 flavors and the one I didn't love was only because of my personal preference, but not because it wasn't actually good. I would marry the gelato man but my wife said she would challenge him to a duel. So instead I'm writing this review in hopes that all of you can go meet him and have your dreams fulfilled too.

Absolutely delicious gelato. Tried the marscapone pistachio caramel this time. You can order online for pickup to save a wait in line, although it wasn't a too long even on a hot Sunday summer afternoon.

I LOVE this place. It is my family's treat spot of choice! Our go-to place after a good report card. The flavors are simply amazing. Always capturing the fundamental essence of what they're going for. Turkish Coffee was my personal fave.the employees are always eager to help and super-pleasant, even when busy. Cheek out the "red spoon club"... makes it even sweeter! Oh! Don't forget the coffee! I love the coffee. Can't wait to come back!

Great gelato but the prices are a bit harsh. It's good as a treat every once in a great while. The service is great and they have a lot of flavors to choose from. Plenty of seating but you might still have a hard time finding an open chair because this place is very popular. Outside seating available in the warmer months. They also serve dairy free sorbetto.

Everyone is friendly and quick to serve you or give you samples. Portions are generous. You can get more than one flavor in one dish and every flavor I've tried is delicious. Atmosphere is nice and facilities are always clean. Open late, which is a huge plus.

I adore Gelato Fiasco! I come here every time I visit my family. Having lived in Italy for 5 years, I am quite discerning, but the gelato here is always fabulous, with a variety of exciting and delicious flavors ranging from the traditional to the outlandish. The portions are large, and you can get a bunch of flavors in any size of cup. For example, today I got a small with cardamom, marscapone caramel pistachio, blood orange, and deepest chocolate peppermint. In addition, their service is exceedingly polite and friendly, encouraging customers to try a variety of flavors even when the store is busy. Thank you!!

Another great place to grab a treat in Brunswick! I love the HUGE variety of flavors as well as very casual seating. I like taste testing before I buy. Very flavorful and addictive. This is a great little gelato and coffee shop in Brunswick, convenient for walking to the local sites. Coffee was very reasonably priced, and was fresh and tasty on our visit; we had the coffee of the day. Many different creative flavors of gelato were on offer, such as the Maine blueberry, cookies and cream that I had. However, I docked one star because all of the flavors we had (five different) were far too sweet - as in, I could literally feel my teeth tingling from the sugar content.

Wonderful selection and great service. The seating area can sometimes get busy but the entire place feels trendy and warm. You will notice local artists have items on display as well. A great place to stop for dessert and wind down. So happy we have this little cafe in Brunswick.

I love this place. Best gelato ever. Lots of different flavors. I used to love near by and would get it all the time. As it gets more popular they do need to work on their queuing methods. Lots of people line up when they first get in the door, but it's dumb and inefficient to lineup to get tasters. I think they should have an ordering line and a tasting section. Also was really excited to find their gelator available at my grocery store out of state, but then really disappointed to find out it was really icy and old, likely a distribution issue.

The shop is neat and easy to navigate, and the staff members behind the counter are always friendly and helpful. It's not at all pretentious or snooty; in fact, one of the joys of the venue is watching gelato lovers of all ages point and speculate on the huge selection of flavors, often chatting with others to compare notes. It's incredibly pleasant and remarkably charming! As others have noted, you can taste as many flavors as you'd like before ordering; personally, I don't think it's necessary since every single flavor is delicious. You simply can't go wrong! The gelato is perfectly creamy and smooth, and the flavors and add-ins are all top-quality for superb tastes in every batch. The scoops are generous, and the brilliant use of tiny spoons forces you to savor every bite--a lovely throwback to older times when good food was adored, not devoured. I'm addicted to the Gelato Fiasco, and even though I was just there yesterday, I'm already dreaming about what tasty selection I'll sample next time I visit the shop!

108 varieties, some unique, all excellent. They will combine as many as you want in any serving size. A local coffee brand (that folks swear will make you give up Sb-) makes an exclusive roast for them. Rich, so a smaller size is enough for most (a few of us couldn't finish a medium). Not cheap, but fairly priced. Limited seating inside and out: plenty for a family and just enough to handle a group. A must-do for visitors and regular stop for locals.

Super awesome and fast customer service, I contacted the help email and was immediately offered a refund or replacements. I visited this location while on vacation, please understand if you can go in person the gelato is delicious, super smooth and decadent. However my visit inspired me to make an online order once I returned home from vacation. My father-in-law remamed home all day on the day the gelato was delivered so the moment it was delivered it was placed in the freezer. However all but 2 of my 6 pints are super hard and crystallized kind of a let down.

I didn't know that the gates of Heaven were located in Brunswick. I thought they were joking when they told me I could sample as many gelatos as I wanted for FREE!!!! I ended up getting the dark chocolate noir (insanely pure chocolate flavor) and Netflix-and-chill. Oh, my. A "small" was so rich and decadent that I actually had a hard time finishing it! Don't be embarrassed to ask for samples and don't be daunted by the lines. The staff are excellent and move along the crowds quickly and genuinely seem to enjoy their work.

Having never had gelato before, we didn't realize what an awesome treat we were in for. Upon enetering, one of the servers behind the counter immediately told us that we could sample as many different kinds of gelato as we wanted. Wow, that's great. No more of that wanting to try one, not knowing what it'll taste like, only to find out it isn't your favorite. Test them out and then order up the best - or mix up two, three or more of your favorites - they'll be many. The gelato was delicious - we all sampled out top three picks and then ordered combinations of them - too good to choose just one. In fact, so delcious, we signed up for their "flavors of the day" emails, joined their free red spoon club, and returned two days later for another round of creamy delciousness. And on our second visit, we sat at their tables and played games they provided for customers. Just an above par experience when going out for a sweet treat. So glad we found it!

Soooo delicious! Portion sizes generous and not stingy with samples. We loved the mango, berry mix, chocolate, blueberry crisp, cookie one and strattiocelli. The mint chocolate one was peppermint which was a bit of a surprise and veeeerrry minty. Coffee smelled so good. Need to come back for that someday. Thanks guys :)

I do not use the term "perfection" lightly. Ok, maybe I do, but if I were to define the formal Perfection, the Gelato Fiasco would be listed front and center. While I sit here, noshing my strawberry rhubarb sorbetto and Maine blueberry cobbler gelato and sipping my God of Thunder dark roast drip, I find myself struggling to find an afternoon treat that even remotely replicates the pleasure derived from this culinary experience. No such comparison exists.

The day started off as a nice spring day. As the sun set the temperature dropped. I did not have a jacket, and I was accompanied by my friend visiting from Florida. I keep a down comforter in my car in case of emergencies. We grabbed my comforter and headed to gelato fiasco. As we walked in, we looked ridiculous. Two people wearing a huge down filled comforter. Our first encounter was a friendly man named Marcus. He laughed at our attire and confessed he was jealous of our warmth. Marcus told us he was here training for the opening of the Orlando store. I didn't even want gelato. Marcus gave me a couple samples and I was convinced. I had to get some. I am sad that I won't get to see Marcus' smiling face in Brunswick anymore, but I'm happy to know I can find him when I visit my siblings in Orlando.
