So freaking excited that they had a Thai iced tea flavor. It blew my mind, I LOVE Thai iced tea. It was so tasty is a waffle cone. They had some interesting flavors like prickly pear key lime and some fan favorites like birthday cake, pistachio, chocolate, cookies and cream. Prices seemed decent for the quality of Gelato. The closing shift girl was chatty which made the wait time sort of long but it was worth the Thai tea. I'd go here again for sure if I was in the area.

Young woman behind the counter was very kind and even though she was close to closing up took order from our big group 10 people. And even allowed me to get a second serving which was delicious!!!! The fruit flavors were very tangy and grapefruit really tasted like grapefruit. Lemon was my favorite nice and tart!

Just visiting Portland for a few days, and we wanted some "fun" dessert. This hit the spot! There were plenty of appetizing gelato flavors, and all reasonably priced. The coffee was hot and strong. I can't speak for the donuts, but they looked great. The atmosphere was relaxed and there were board games available for guests. Definitely a fun little place for coffee and something sweet.

I love this place... Friendly whimsical people, decor and flavors. Lots of options for every appetite, creative tasty donuts, a cute area with kids toys and enough seating for those who want to stay. I've seen it very busy but it rarely feels crowded. A local treasure!

I am a huge fan of frozen desserts, so I was excited to find an easily accessible handmade gelato store close to my work. Now I come here at least a couple of times a week. Staccato Gelato is small with a cute, childlike decor and welcoming workers. I've asked them for recommendations plenty of times and they've never disappointed me. Their daily selection isn't very large (about twelve gelato options) and a lot of the flavors aren't super adventurous. However, they change up their menu every day, so it's definitely worth coming multiple times to try different things. My favorites have been the rose petal (which I've only seen once, unfortunately), the honey lavender, and the pistachio. Everything I've tried has had a lot of sweet flavors packed into the little cups, and for such a great price.

The coconut canard sorbet gelato is life changing. I had to buy a full pint even after eating a couple scoops. Chocolate sorbet was also pretty good. Matt was a great gelato artist.

Awesome folks running a quintessential store with a lot of board games (temporarily inaccessible due to covid). Love the vibe at this place. It has essentially everything you describe as the #portlandvibe bubbly people, good food and a perfectly earthy ambience to spend some quality time either with yourself or with someone else. Do finish-up with a coffee!

Wow, the gelato flavors here really pop/shine. When you get grapefruit be prepared for that grapefruit pucker. It is that sour! I loved it and the lemon. I can hardly wait to try the other flavors.

Decent gelato spot with a small assortment of fairly standard flavors. No vegan options that I could discern. They also have a small selection of good quality donuts. I enjoyed the chocolate/maple stripe donut, which are two things that I always thought should be together on a donut.

Staccato Gelato has turned me into a regular customer. I love how often new flavors come around. The owner is always smiling, and enjoys talking about the fresh ingredients he uses to make the gelato. The flavors have a lot of intensity to them, so every bite is as good as the first. I have had over a dozen flavors, and enjoyed every one of them. The prices are very reasonable. You can get several flavors in one cup, which I highly recommend because they are all delicious. They also have donuts and donut holes in different flavors. I typically end up getting some donut holes as well because they are hard to pass up. I really enjoy Staccato Gelato, and hope everyone else gets as hooked as I am.

I wasn't all that impressed with the gelato like I thought I was going to be. To be honest, I felt like I was eating just regular ice cream (as far as texture/creaminess goes), and the flavor (pistachio) was pretty bland compared to others I've had. Very friendly staff, clean establishment, and because they have board games and other activities, it seems like a fun place to bring the kids/friends/spouse for a fun outing.

We have gotten two gelato cakes here int he last year. They were great, and tastefully and carefully decorated. The gelato is great, the donuts are great, the staff is super courteous.

Gelato was good, as you'd expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the doughnuts. I don't usually like cake doughnuts, but these were nice and fluffy, good flavors, and amazingly fresh for 9pm. We played board games and had hot chocolate, which was good, too, and spent less overall than we would have at other ice cream shops.

The atmosphere and ambiance is charming and quaint, the donut holes are a welcome and tasty surprise, and it wasn't at all crowded. The gelato wasn't terribly good, though. If you're in the neighborhood, it's worth a stop, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to go there.

Delicious, good selection and consistent quality of gelato. The doughnuts are dangerously delicious too! Had the affagato for the first time here and it was a pleasure. When you arrive, make sure to relax and enjoy the wait (not too long) and experience a bit of life Italian style.

My daughter & I just found this place on a girl's day out. We enjoyed the lemon, marionbery & chocolate sorbets as we can not have dairy. The lemon was fantastic and tart and they have it everyday. We loved it! We will definitely be back.

The gelato flavors were so fresh you could taste it; the Raspberry Pomegranate Lime and Mint Chocolate Chip flavors were excellent. No doughnuts were tasted today, but considering the reviews - and my own experience - I think it's likely a second visit is in my future.

Gelato is amazing...however, the donuts. I went with the French crueller and it taste and smells as if it was fried in reused fish oil. First and last time I try a donut from there. Definitely going back for the gelato!

Literally the best gelato and donuts I've ever had. I usually don't care for donuts... but dang! These were amazing! There's a variety of gelato flavors, too, so if you want something fancy or just something ordinary (but oh so delicious) like vanilla, you'll find it. And the coffee was great, too! Everything was reasonably priced, also, so that was awesome. Definitely coming back here.

We visit frequently after dinner out or a movie. Love their assorted flavors like Turmeric, Marionberry, Pistachio, Blood Orange. Gelato cakes are great too - ordered one for my Aug bday party. I am a devotee of their cardamom donuts.

We were visiting a relative at the hospital. Decided to get some geleto.They were only about 6 minutes away.When we arrived they weren't to buzy.The counter lady was friendly and very accommodating with the samples of the flavors.The size of the scoops are a little small,but the price is in the range of their competitors. 3 scoops for $5.00. Ordered,strawberry lemonade, creamsicle,espresso,stracciatella,chocolate and lemon sorbet.The place looked clean.My only negative would be,at shift change,a male employee who had just arrived on a bike,placed it in the back,got ready to work,with his back to us washed his hands,but could see a large amount of sweat soaking through his back of shirt,from riding his bike.I would recommend changing it before working in the future.The geleto was awesome,we will be back.

I know some are enamored with the new ice cream parlor on the 28th block but we are loyal fans of Staccato Gelato. There are always some classics holding down the selection (chocolate, vanilla and birthday cake) but Steve has some fantastic newcomers too (turmeric, cardamom or mojito). The selection varies daily. Incidentally my daughter and I think the hot cocoa is the best in the city. It's crafted with the same chocolate as the gelato!

i scream, you scream, we all scream for--wait. this place sells gelato and doughnuts. and boyyyy are they good. sometimes they've got oddball flavors. off the top of my head, i think i remember...cinnamon, pistachio, mocha-fudge?, some banana something-or-other, then sometimes they have these unusual flavors of foods i've never heard of. kinda exotic. let's not get into doughnuts right now. but those have good flavors, too.
