A great find! Tons of good options for hand dipped ice cream and good options for soft serve. I noticed mango and raspberry dole whip an option, which will be my next choice when I visit again. My husband got chocolate soft serve, which was delicious as soft serve is expected to be! I ordered the hand dipped salted caramel in a kid sized sundae and it was very well made. The salted caramel ice cream in my self was just OK. The prices are also very reasonable for a Philadelphia ice cream shop as well. Would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

This place wins the prize for the longest line for ice cream I have seen in a very long time. There is both a walk-up window and a drive through and the wait was exactly the same. The workers are efficient and friendly. The ice cream is very good with plenty of variety and generous portions. The prices are also quite reasonable. The polka-dot, retro-style cups put a smile on my face.

It's icecream, so what more can ya say! 😁 I ordered a cone with 1 scoop of cake batter and 1 scoop of cookie dough with rainbow sprinkles. I certainly appreciate my cone being covered in sprinkles over sprinkled with sprinkles any day! Overall great quality icecream and prompt service! Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful homemade ice cream. So happy a neighborhood ice cream spot like this exists. Their ice cream cakes are also really good! Only weird thing is they don't seem to let you use their side door to pick up cakes anymore, so if you come when it's busy you're going to have to wait in the ice cream line, so be prepared for that or come during off-peak hours.

A great classic ice cream shop. They have at least 20 flavors of homemade ice cream at a time, some rotate seasonally (you can check their Instagram for the latest special flavors). They have a drive thru or window ordering with a few outside benches, there is no indoor seating. The service is reasonably quick & everyone is very friendly. Our favorite things to order are the hot fudge sundaes, pup cups and milk shakes (especially black raspberry)! They also sell ice cream cakes and ice cream sandwiches! Adding a photo of the current menu as well!

The best ice cream in Philly! Everything was fast, affordable and delicious!! I got a small scoop of vanilla peanut butter cup in a pretzel cone. I’ve never seen a pretzel cone before and if you’re visiting from out of town, it’s totally worth a try! The pretzel is salted and crispy and delightful!

I'm not the biggest fan of frozen treats BUT I've been coming here for 15 years and I'm only 25 so you KNOW I love it lol. My only complaint is PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE put more cookie dough in the cookie dough ice cream. It's the only flavor I feel cheated when I get, everything else is perfect though keep up the great service!

The best ice cream in Philadelphia hands down. Everything, including the water ice, is made in house. It's not "fancy" ice cream, flavor-wise I mean. Nothing herbed or made with truffle oil. Pretty standard flavors but all well done. It's also priced really well. Both the hand dip and the ice cream cakes are all reasonably priced. Another reason to love this place! Cons: parking is a struggle on busy days. And not that this would make the aforementioned problem any better but I wish there was a better place to sit and enjoy your treat than right on the lip of the parking area.

Cool, old-fashioned ice cream shop. So much like a place down the street from where I grew up and has that nostalgia factor. I went with my standard ice cream configuration; soft chocolate, Reese’s pieces, and hot fudge. Good size, reasonable prices. I’d say the one downside is parking lot configuration. It’s easy for the drive-thru cars to block up the lot since it loops behind the shop in a single lane. Street parking wasn’t too bad nearby.

Get in line and take yourself back to your childhood. Ice cream never taste so good. When they slide the window open and ask, "Would you like me to start on that now?" It's like we are waiting for The great chemist to return. Once they do you may not make it home with that ice cream. You get the big picture.

Great place with big portions and terrific seasonal flavors (Pumpkin Cookie as an ice cream? - Brilliant). But best of all is their procedure of having staff walk the drive-thru line taking orders when they're busy. You can order, pay, get your tasty treat and leave without having to sit at the actual drive-thru window. That alone moves the always long lines so much faster and you get your ice cream quicker - Great!!

I remember my parents getting my birthday ice cream cakes from here as a child & decades later, they still are holding up to the same quality & deliciousness that I could remember!! Some of the best ice cream I've ever had served by some of the nicest people I've ever encountered. I did the drive through a few times and even though the line sometimes got long the employees weren't frantic or cutting corners. They were very nice and asked great follow up questions so we could have the best experience. They asked if we would like lids to go or if we would like our cone in a bag or on the side of our treats. I really appreciate how nice and enjoyable it was to interact with the employees. The ice cream is delicious and super creamy. It does not have that icy texture that ice creams can get. They have a variety of hard and soft ice cream flavors and a lot of toppings to chose from. Definitely a place to check out!

Pretty sure people rate this place 5 stars because there’s so few other ice cream options. Waited 30 minutes in line behind only 4 other people because the staff prioritized the drive through — we saw 18 cars go through & they closed one of our windows, and kept both open for the cars. The soft serve is totally different from most, and not in a good way. Too light, like whipped cream, instead of legitimate ice cream. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Extremely easy and safe to order ice cream here, plus the staff is great! However, I knocked off two stars because it kinda tasted like they changed recipe for soft serve vanilla. I like the old version! Thick, creamy, with a delicate, balanced sweetness that comes from the milk, vanilla, and added sugar. The version I had on Sunday tasted a little lean fat-wise and was extremely sweet like table sugar. Hopefully, my next visit will be better!

My favorite flavors are the vanilla peanut butter cup ice cream and the Dole Whip (pineapple) soft served mixed with vanilla soft serve. The soft serve is so refreshing on a hot day. Their hot fudge sauce is also delicious, especially on strawberry ice cream. The line can sometimes be long and the parking lot traffic often blocks traffic on Ridge Ave which is annoying.

This was a golden find in the hills of manayunk. The ice cream is super creamy and well made. I have tried a bunch of their flavors some better than the others, but if you know what you generally like, they make it well. The staff is super polite and quick on their toes. I love this store!

So there's a $10 card limit for purchase, and it takes a little effort to reach that min because the ice cream is pretty cheap. I usually have to buy two PINTS of ice cream to make the limit. Which is pretty cheap considering that it's homemade. Be warned, there is always a huge line, but it's worth the wait. Some flavors are a bit of a hit or miss, but they let you try samples

Their ice cream is good with a large variety of flavors. The real reason I like this place is they have Pineapple Dole Whip, the same pineapple soft serve as at Disney. Update: Still love the ice cream here. This week I tried a milk shake instead of a cone and it was absolutely delicious. Still love this place. Second Update: finally caved and got a pup cup for my dog. He is as big of a fan as I am.

This is the most consistent and delicious soft ice cream anywhere. I usually always avoid vanilla everywhere, but vanilla/chocolate soft ice cream twists made me realize how great their vanilla is also. No wonder they have so many loyal customers! You can't get better ice cream in the area than here! I've been going here for years and this is at the peak of frozen delights. Very fair prices, good staff, has a drive thru, and great atmosphere. There's only two things that can get in the way of you getting custard. The first is the traffic, since on busy days there's so many people craving for custard that they start clogging Ridge Ave. The second is that card purchases below $10 charge you an extra dollar. So unless you don't mind spending an extra dollar on this yummy yummy custard (which you should) you'd better buy $10+ worth! I'd recommend parking somewhere close by or in the parking lot and walking up to the window to order custard. They have the prices for everything they sell at the window and with the normal length of the line, you have more than enough time to browse everything.

The kids working here were very patient & kind as I had a few kids with me & we did not know what we were gonna order. We went through the drive thru & they were so crowded in both the walk up line & the drive thru line, which went down ridge across from the gas station when I got in the line of cars. The kids were not sure what their options were & there is so much on the menu to choose from but by the time we got up far enough to see the sign the line had started moving very quick. The staff was really working hard & fast to take everyone's order & get them moving through to take the next one. They did a great job & even though it was a very hot day they did it with a courteous smile! Thanx!

A neighborhood family owned business that has been around forever and has top quality ice cream, water ice and ice cream cakes. The staff is THE BEST! They treat you like family. Even during these unprecedented times of a Global Pandemic this crew managed to open their business and serve their long time customers with keeping safety in mind. On May 29, my family went to get ice cream from this place while returning from the Philadelphia Art Museum. On the trip to the art museum, I was making JC-bee-n 6798 as a B reference and we got some ice cream while at C&C Creamery. The ice cream there was pretty good.

This is my favorite ice cream place ever! We don't go anywhere else! It's like a small-town custard stand in the city. We love everything about it! Their ice creams & many toppings (strawberries for sundaes, for example) are homemade and absolutely delicious! The staff couldn't be friendlier! And even though they get extremely busy, they know how to keep things moving. Even if you have to wait, the wait is well worth it! They even have a drive-thru! One note: bring cash if you're not spending more than $10!

The ice cream is pretty good! Some of the best in Philly. There is a $10 minimum for credit cards which can sometimes be a drag, so we usually order an extra pint to go. They’re generous with the toppings and don’t skimp on the scoops. It can be pretty busy so you will usually have to wait in line - on foot or in your car - YES! In your car! The drive-thru is great on a warm but rainy day!

My absolutely favorite place in the neighborhood. They make their own flavors - which are amazing! They also cater to the sweet or savory customer. Hot dogs, pretzels, they have it all. C & C Creamery makes some of the best homemade ice cream I have ever tasted! They offer such a variety of flavors that you will definitely find one or more that you like! My favorites are cherry vanilla, chocolate and pumpkin in a waffle cone! (pumpkin is only in the fall or early Sept.) I wait every year for them to open.

Ice cream from C&C Creamery is the highlight of my summer (and I suspect the rest of Roxborough would say the same). The ice cream is thick and creamy, and if you order a chunky flavor, there will be plenty of chunk to go around. The prices are so fair you might not believe your ears when you get the bill. Downside: Often, the drive-through line causes traffic backups on Ridge (which we forego entirely), while the zig-zagging walk-up line can stretch down the block. You may have to wait for the ice cream, but it is well-worth it in the end.
