Reviews of Creole Creamery
rachel
Was a super busy Saturday night the line kept on forming. They were super attentive and nice even tho the atmosphere is very loud. They have so many flavors and options. They got a nice sample flavor where you can pick 6 samples for 4 dollarish. The place is a very home welcoming cozy place.
The ice cream itself was delicious, the chin i of the bite sized pieces of chocolate. The waffle cone tasted store bought but it was delicious. Everything was delicious. And the workers were very nice. Even with the rush of line they still were working hard.
D K
Most interesting ice cream flavors I’ve ever seen. Had the goat cheese, fennel and fig ice cream which was excellent and the lavender honey is great too. Nice atmosphere. If you’re in the area and crave ice cream, this is the venue.
Brian Seman
Amazing ice cream shop!! So many great flavors of sweet delicious ice cream! Great service, friendly and patient especially when you’re not sure of what amazing flavor of delicious ice cream you want!
ireeloveslife “Iree” Mendez
We tried the brownie a la mode and strawberry shortcake. It was delicious!! This is my new favorite ice cream shop. 🤤 I was a taste hog and tried several different ice cream flavors and everything I tried was tasty. Can’t wait to eat here again. …
Michael Busse
Came here on a recommendation from a friend who went to college around here and misses this spot maybe more than anything else in the city!
So many delicious flavors, including some seasonal ones. I had some sort of Christmas cookie type of ice cream, and loved it. Also, it is not that much extra to make your scoop into a sundae, so that fun option is right there for ya if that’s your thing.
Lythia Becht
Wonderful ice cream flavors. I am happy that I stopped at this small spot in the Garden District. Lovely customer service. I had "A Chocwork Orange" and "Olive Oil Sea Salt." It Definitely hits your tastebuds different. I look forward to stopping here again on my next trip down here.😎 …

A ton of options and great prices for what you get. Employees are responsive and quick, even during the busiest times (when the line is out the door you’ll still be served within ten minutes). Flavors are unique and always interesting. They offer samples, which helps make decisions. Their shakes are the perfect consistency.
I would prefer if employees wore gloves.
Melody Wigdahl
Their bitter chocolate is as a delicious dark chocolate. Loved it. Plenty of seating as well. Decent amount of parking around too.
Cathryn Beeman
We had a Creole Creamery sundae bar at our wedding last weekend, and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone is still raving over the salty malty ice cream, and we were so excited about all of the dairy-free options as well. The attendant was friendly, prompt, and professional. David was great to work with during the planning process. Definitely recommend as a fun addition to a wedding or event!
Danielle
My favorite Ice cream shop in New Orleans! Every time I need my sweet tooth fix, I come to creole creamery and get the brownie a la mode.
Lukasz Zbylut
The ice cream is good, but the line can be long even late at night. There is a 5 dollar credit card minimum, which means at least 2 scoops.
Benjamin Leff
What can I say about Creole Creamery that already hasn't been said? It is the best ice cream I've ever eaten, well perhaps there are a few exceptions but the atmosphere and late hours plus the number of different flavors to choose from is fantastic. I wish the one in Lakeview would carry more staples like "Chef's Perfect Chocolate."
Cristina Garvie
This is one of my favorite ice cream places in New Orleans. They have such unique flavors and combinations. Their ice cream drinks shakes and Sundays are all magnificent.
Colin
Best ice cream EVER. My visit to Creole Creamery actually made my trip to New Orleans worth the trip 😁 …
Walkman
Great place. They always have new ice cream flavors and a chill vibe.
Also a great place for Pokemon Go. Right on top of a gym and a stop with lots of spawns right on top of it.
Elliot Ernst
This is our favorite ice cream shop. The flavors range from classic favorites to new fun ideas that keep going! Always check what’s seasonal so you don’t miss out!
Yevette Brown
Delicious!! I tried a few flavors, but settled on the Lavender Honey and Petite four…I now dream about them. The flavors are so creative and the ice cream is Devine. A must try if you’re ever in New Orleans!
Liz SC
What’s better then ice cream in a hot day!? It’s a little outside of the normal tourists locations but still easy enough to get to. So we stopped in for a couple scoops. It was pretty empty so there was no wait. The guys behind the counter were nice enough. I didn’t get a super friendly vibe, nor a don’t bother me vibe, just a “doing my job” feeling. We tried a few different flavors and we decided on two, two scoop cups. Nice and creamy ice cream, full of flavor. Definitely a winner. Maybe one day I’ll return for the insane ice cream challenge- 8 scoops and 8 toppings!
Leah Brawley
I think this was the best ice cream I've ever had. There was a long line, but it moved pretty quick - the wait wasn't more than 15 minutes, and it was SO WORTH IT! There were a lot of flavors to choose from, with quite a few unique and interesting choices. The Mexican hot chocolate and cookie monster were both amazing. Others in my party also got the black and gold, peanut butter pie, creole cream cheese, etc. and the consensus was that's all of them were great. We are in town for another day and might go back tomorrow, that's how good it was.
Kelly Honey
This place is awesome. Got there at 9:30pm and they were still packed. I had the Lavender Honey and the Creole cream cheese. Both of them were recommended by people's reviews. OMG the lavender honey was the bomb. I could eat that all day. The Creole cream cheese was good. It had a twayn that I was not expecting. It was not bad just different. Very cool place. You have to check it out.
Samantha Gravity
DELICIOUS!! We enjoyed creole cream, green fairy, and olive oil & sea salt flavors. Green fairy was by far my favorite, and I've never had it's equal at any other store. If I could (during quarantine) I would try everything on the menu! There are numerous affogato options, as well as sorbet/non-dairy flavors. A truly exceptional ice cream experience.
Carol Hutchison
Great local ice cream shop. Lots of different flavors, but no chocolate flavors... only sugarless... I think they need to do better with chocolate!
num1lsufan
Delicious, This place is amazing! Creole creamery is the best ice cream in NOLA! What I like most about Creole Creamery is their wide variety of flavors (especially the new and unique ones that seem to pop up every few weeks). They have more classic flavors too but they're just not on display. Also there's a case entirely dedicated to chocolate flavors! They also offer mini scoop samplers (just don't be a hog). The staff is friendly
This is a cash only place and will not expect a credit card.
john white
A cash only establishment. Just a heads up. There was a huge selection of "different" ice cream flavors. Each 1 sounded better than the previous. They make their own waffle cones. It smells delightful inside. The staff was patient and helpful. We tasted a couple before we chose. I'm not gonna influence you by saying what we got. Go in and find something you like.
Timothy E.
Ice Cream! Lieutenant Dan, I got ice cream!
Well , you won't find Lieutenant Dan or Forest at Creole Creamery, but you will find some of the best ice cream in the country. Blue Bell makes a darned good vanilla. But Creole Creamery has all the other flavors perfected, including a herd of flavors you never could imagine.
Its a local favorite. There are lines out the door on many weekend evenings.
Get a second scoop of a different flavor. You'll be glad you did. Better yet, make it a third. You’ll want to come often to try all the flavors.
Brandon B
Little hidden gem in uptown New Orleans serving up unique and delicious flavors. Highly recommend the banana foster and roasted pistachio both fulfilling and satisfying. Free sample to try if you can’t make your mind and friendly staff to serve you. Parking can be limited and police officer always lurking around so good luck. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.
Joanna T
Absolutely LOVED their ice cream. We had the 6 mini scoop sampler for $7 because there were so many unique flavors I wanted to try. The flavors we tried were cafe au lait, butterscotch toffee, lavender honey, salted caramel, red velvet, la vie en rosé. My favorite was probably the lavender honey because it was the most unique yet still delicious. My least favorite was salted caramel. It was the saltiest salted caramel I've ever had.
There's plenty of seating and usually a line the whole time we were there. They have gender neutral restrooms.
Would definitely come back to try more of their non traditional flavors.
Samantha Dwyer
Very cute atmosphere! Everything I tried was excellent quality! The Pina Colada sherbet tasted just like it! And the Nectar shake was amazing would get it again in a heart beat
Trevor Holder
Great ice cream. Love that they have so many flavors that all sound so good. We got an ice cream sampler. Our favorites were the Mexican hot chocolate and the peanut butter chocolate fudge, but we have so many left to try.
melissa simonson
This was a wonderful place for Ice Cream! Lot's of fun flavors and ways to experience them. This is a must do!!
Glenn Kroll
Among the best ice cream I have had anywhere.... and I always sample these places when I travel. Huge assortment of unique flavors, creamy and top quality. Friendly helpful staff. The line moves fast
Luis Fernando Rios
Excellent ice-cream, I completely recommend it they have great flavors plus a lot of variety of them. The staff is very good and really friendly.
Amy Nguyen
When I crave ice cream, I go here! The ice cream scoops are generous and it's always worth paying a wee bit extra for a waffle cone. I come in every other week, so there's new flavors to try while long time fan-favorites like strawberry will always be there waiting. Cash only!!
Mark Rubenstein
Ok. I have owned a Gelato shop and made my own Gelato. The real stuff. With that said, this is my favorite ice cream shop in the entire country. Yes they have some unique flavors and even these are worth a try because they do a great job of mixing unique things in a subtle manner.
You have got to try this place.
Sangtawun Miller
Great ice cream shop with a wide selection of flavors! I had the king's cake flavor and finished it in record time. Only downside is that they only accept cash so be sure to bring some.
Ivan Y
Ice cream was pretty good. It tasted fresh and delicious not too sweet. They had a lot of variety and different variations. It is worth a visit. Different from Baskin and Robbins or the sweetness of Coldstone Creamery.
Electra Davis
Wide variety of unique ice cream flavors.
+ Good selection of toppings at .75 each.
Friendly service, lots of seating - not cramped.
Anna Corne
Awesome variety of flavors and menu items! They serve everything from sundaes to espresso. The restaurant is cute and quaint, too; but I'd imagine it would be busy during the summer.
The staff was also incredible - I got recommendations and samples without even asking. Then they asked if I wanted my ice cream in plastic or glass, which took me by surprise, but it's nice to have the option.
Zeynep P
The icecream is not super perfect but worth to gice a try.
A C
We really enjoyed our visit. Friendly place and ice cream was good. The table area could maybe been cleaner but it was like in the corners and things. Maybe more obvious because the table we were sitting at.
Natalie L.M.
Creole has amazing ice cream. Always new and unique flavors, great ambiance, reasonable prices. I went here so many times during undergrad. Couldn’t ask for more.
Kayla Smith
Omg their Creole Cream Cheese ice cream is awesome! We are stopping again otw back home. My hubby got some strawberry creole special and he said it was the best! It was a very long line to wait in though.
Jamilla Fontenot
I am a self proclaimed ice cream connoisseur and I am never disappointed when my family and I come here! Don't be afraid to step out of you comfort zone and try the seasonal flavors. This visit the featured flavor was the golden summer fig, OMG 😍😍😍 …
Rachel Rachlinski
The ice cream is delicious but they tend to make cutesy names so you have no idea what's in them
Joseph Delaney
As someone who eats a lot of ice cream, let me tell you that this place is magical. You can’t go wrong with the wide variety of flavors and they are always experimenting with new additions. If you’re in New Orleans this is a must-have.
Russell Adams
Delicious and unique flavor🍦🍦🍦. I enjoyed the Charoset and Creole Cream cheese in a waffle cone. My friend really liked the Mango Sorbet. I wish I was staying in New Orleans to try more of the local flavors here😋😋😋 …
Wendy Firestone
I don't do dairy and their non-dairy options are pretty meh, but my husband loves their ice cream, especially the black and gold, which I have tried and it is amazing.
There is often a line, but they are a well oiled machine and the line goes fast.
If anyone from Creole Creamery is reading this, there are some really good cashew and oat milk options out there! A couple of good non-dairy options would make this place perfect!!!
Bad Betsy
All of their ice creams were delicious...and you can get a couple of samples.
DJ
I'm not really an ice cream person but this was a game changer...when I tried lavender honey.......it was so good then they had so many unique flavors I like they let you try samples and you can buy mini scoop sampler. Such a yummy sweet treat!
Mashuk Rahman
good ice cream shop. Pretty busy at times and good environment
Camilla Goodman
A must visit in New Orleans. You can take the trolley here. You get to see a different part of the city. Pass through a neighborhood with big beautiful homes. There is a large assortment of ice cream mashups to choose from. You can get a 4 or 6 scoop sampler. All reasonable priced. This place is always crowded. I suggest one person holds a table while the others are in line. Even if it's not crowded when you get there, they are on the way!
Annalaura Beegle
I started coming here because my bank is nextdoor. Every time I come here, there are so many delicious flavors that I end up taking home multiple pints so I can savor them all and have 2nds and 3rds!! There's always something new and exciting to try and I now look for excuses to come to this area of town! In this pic: Turtle Cookie, Salty Malty, and Salty Smokey Chocolate Almond (my favorite)!!
Klyn
Yum yum! The flavors are amazing. My group loved their choices. I had the mini sampler and it was so good. I loved the Cafe au lait, peanut butter fudge pie, and honey lavender the most but all was yummy.
Sefanya H
Their Rosé + Creole Cream Cheese were delicious af. Great selection of fantastic-tasting ice cream! Worth the distance, wait, price, everything. Wish I could taste everything.
Kate Uhle
Even though there are a ton of awesome flavors to try, I come back to Coffee on a sugar cone every time. A trip to Creole is always a win with my family!
Aleksandr Semenkov
Delicious ice cream, unfortunately there is no sample, highly recommend salted caramel
Mae Manis
Oh. My. 😲😲😲😲 The icecream was out of this world! The lavendar honey mixed with the creole cream cheese makes for a DELIGHTFUL treat! My husband and toddler both agreed. So glad we decided to try this gem.
Just remember, they are cash only but COMPLETELY worth the trip to get cash.
MochiMomo
Banana split was authentic and absolutely delicious. The ice cream was super creamy and the place itself was super cute and photo worthy!
Skyla Keys
Most favorite ice cream place in the world. You will not find authenticity like you will here
F Johnson
Amazing and unique ice cream flavors. We enjoyed it so much we visited multiple times while on vacation. They stay busy, so be prepared to wait.
Nataki M.
We visit this place everything we visit Nawlins.
Tiger Steimle
Wide variety of flavors and amazing taste! Decent prices as well.
R. Phoenix
Amazing. Great customer service, fantastic ice cream, and the options were great. I went with a friend, so I got to try more than one thing. The goblet of chocolate (ice cream fudge) was spectacular, and the brownie was fantastic as well.
connie tarbah
OMG, this is a fantastic place to stop for a cone or dish of ice cream. Yes it's a bit more expensive but the scoops are large and the rich creamy flavors are unique. I come from Wisconsin where I've cream is a big deal so this is high praise.
Peter Hubbs
The absolutely best ice cream I've ever had anywhere. They constantly change things up with crazy new flavor additions so there's always a good reason to go in and grab a scoop.
Derenda Fisher
Had a delicious Creole Cream Cheese ice cream strawberry shortcake Sun, so very tasty. And sampled the Lavender Honey ice cream, a refreshing delight. My new favorite ice cream shop. There are lines but they are fast. Please bring your vaccine card if dining in!
Angel Hargis
Always a surprise to try an amazing flavor that I had no intention of eating when I was in my way over. Tonight it was Mexican Hot Chocolate!
OMG!! It was so good. Reminded me of frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity in NYC.
Yum!
Tony Stewart
Wife and I had the Creole Strawberry Sundae, it was delicious. Has that old school Ice Cream Parlor look to it.
Zek Miller
Can't say anything better besides..Thank you Creole Creamery you have converted my icecream experience. Wide wide wide selection of flavors. Awesome job for a small business best of luck to them!
Matt Davis
Still one of the best ice creams I've had. You really can't go wrong with flavor, everything is great. I personally recommend Creole cream cheese or petit four flavor. Everything is creamy, fresh, and certainly delicious. No matter which or their locations you choose the staff has been super friendly and accommodating. Great to see nothing has changed with this wonderful business post-pandemic. Go support, you won't be disappointed.
Amanda H
Got a lavender honey ice cream affogato. Ice cream was phenomenal. My problem was the espresso. So incredibly over extracted the ice cream could not save it.
Ogads Way
Good ice cream...creative flavors..I tried the sampler of 6 (turned out it was to much for me to eat)!
Tabby
If you are ever in NOLA, this is in my top places to go. Their ice cream selection is big, they also have sorbet, occasionally dairy-free options and either vanilla or chocolate in sugar free. It taste amazing and has great texture! My favorite is their coffee or lavender one!
Tommy Xia (夏晨阳Tommyxcy)
Great ice cream spot if you’re around the area!
Syncere Harris
The Magnolia was an absolute amazing experience. This was so nice, I had to make sure I stopped in again. Before I got on the road back to Michigan :( this is my new favorite place in NOLA!
J'Nai Areana
Always so delicious! The flavors are amazingly unique for ice cream. My sister will only get the lavender because it's that awesome.
I also love that they've kept the old Mackenzie sign on the building too. 😍
Thanks for great customer service! …
Kimo Hickman
Still some of the best ice cream in the city! It's always a stop when we're in town!
Mandee X
Best ice cream in town! Actually, best ice cream that I have ever had. Sooo creamy!!! Tons of flavors to choose from, and the dining area is so cute!
Marcelle M
Ice cream is amazing!!! All the toppings are fresh. Perfect place to visit on a hot day for a refreshing treat!
Claire
The creole cream cheese ice cream on a waffle cone was really good. Unfortunately, the milkshakes lacked flavor/were not sweet enough, and they were very liquid-y. The ice cream flavors are unique and all look delicious. The service was great. The young lady who helped me offered samples when she noticed I was having trouble deciding, and she even helped me take my order to our car since I couldn’t carry it all. I’d go back and give them another try if we were in the area.
Tommy Transplant (Tommy Transplant)
This is always a favorite, and the hotter the weather the more delicious their ice cream is. Great, unique flavors that you won't find anywhere else.
Mark Horne
Fantastic ice cream with great choice of traditional and inventive flavors.
Best in New Orleans.
Ryan Heath
This place rocks!! 8 of us stopped in and everyone was more than happy. Only wish it was closer to home (Colorado). 😁 …
Kimberly Peng
Sooooo many flavors! The Lavender Honey and Thai Basil Coconut were my faves. Light and interesting. Definitely worth a stop if you're in NOLA
Thomas Krajewski
Some very inventive flavors with the tried and true options as well. The sundae selection was adequate and the venue is nice. They have many employees so service moves quickly even if there is a line and the will let you try samples!
Tammy Mumma
Highly recommend. They have all kinds of ice cream and sherbert treats from banana splits, floats, sundaes to just a waffle cone full of yummy ice cream. The staff is very friendly and will help you decide what tasty treat to get. So many choices...
Susan M
Great service and great tasting ice cream plenty of flavors.
Janet Vivancos
Delicious!
Can't make up your mind, try 4 scoops for $5 or 6 for $7.
Lee Trampleasure
Great ice cream, popular destination. We had to wait in line, but by the time we were served, there were open tables.
Kaitlin Murphy
Such unique flavors! I loved getting the mini scoop sampler, with the lavender, earl grey, olive oil, and rose. They have affogatos as well!! I wouldn’t recommend drinking their espresso on its own though, as it was quite bitter.
Haley Ashe
The variety of unusual flavors is awesome! They offer a special where you can get up to 6 scoops of differing flavours for a reasonable price. It's totally worth it bc it is waaaaay too hard to pick a single type to enjoy! They also finally take debit/credit cards!
Stephen
Busy and popular on a weekday afternoon. Wide variety of flavors. Peanut butter fudge and pistachio were good.
Joel Dillon
Been to Creole Creamery a ton of times, never disappointed!!! Honey Lavender is always amazing.
Akshay Mehra
One of the best ice cream places in the uptown area. They have standard and seasonal flavors. I love their hazelnut biscotti and salted caramel flavors. In my opinion, the salted caramel flavor is a must try. They also have a nice sampler option where you can try 4 flavors for $6 which is a great option if this is your first time there. Most items are are under $7.
Janee Howard
Some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time! I got the white peach sorbet and the creole cream ice cream the 2 combined was love in a bite!
Robin Kansas City
Great selection. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy. Highly recommend stopping by!
isabella bartok
Wow! Can we just talk about how amazing this place is? First, the parlor atmosphere is great. It has cute personal touches throughout the store and when you walk in it smells like Christmas because they make their waffle cones fresh daily! The customer service is on point. I’ve been twice now and both people who helped me were AMAZING! I’ve tried the lavender honey ice cream and the chocolate torte. Wow! It’s thick, creamy, rich, and tastes like sunshine. I do believe I need to try all of their flavours now! Can’t wait to come back!
Florida Harris
Every flavor……absolutely delicious
Angela Little
So many amazing flavors! Staff so accommodating and friendly. I had the for mini scoops with seasonal flavors. Loved the egg nog, peppermint. The pumpkin praline was fabulous.
Christina C
Best non dairy ice cream I ever had, they also have regular ice cream. It's really hard to find non dairy options that actually taste, look, and smell good as well. I am a regular here for the coconut flavored sorbet, its creamy and you won't feel like your missing out on some good creamy whole milk ice-cream. Which is hard to duplicate in the non dairy section, for some reason it's always an epic fail. No photos because I'm not interested in my phone when I'm really enjoying something amazing. Plus I don't want to share my drippings with my phone .
Sophia Cloud
Please stop making the golden milk vegan flavor!!! It's so nasty (ok like 50/50 cuz sometimes it's extremely strong and nasty and another time it was mild) and anyone who likes it is just lying to themselves because its technically "healthy." The Thai tea and ube were good vegan flavors. Not everyone who eats vegan ice cream is on a health kick- some of us just are lactose intolerant and don't want to explode. Please make more vegan flavors or at least stop having that as your one vegan ice cream flavor
Chuck Shubert
This place is amazing! I highly recommend checking this place out. The skyscraper it is! 👍👍 …
Campbell Bryan
Staff was so nice, and the ice cream was delicious!!
Scott Haigwood
King cake icecream was wonderful! My wife wouldn't let me try the challenge :)
Leslie Molson
This used to be the best ice cream place in town, but it's really gone downhill. The flavors are okay but not as good, sort of diluted, and the waffle cones were really stale, which ruined the whole thing. It feels like whoever owns it no longer cares.
Also, the bathroom was super rundown, like one in a truck stop diner, not an ice cream parlor. But it's open later than the others so it will always be popular with the Uptown crowd.
Parish Parlor and Ice Cream 504 are much, much better.
Candace Randall
Took our 10 kids here on vacation. Staff were super nice, place was clean, and the kids LOVED their ice cream. Awesome variety of flavors and cones were huge. We would definitely visit again on our next trip to New Orleans.
Faith S. Snyderman
This place has delicious, and some locally inspired flavors. Excellent quality ice cream that's worth going to even on a cold, rainy day.
Cole Foster
I uses to come here with my parents and now I bring my kiddo. We love it!
Annette Park
One of our favorite places in the city! Always have new interesting flavors to try that you cannot get anywhere else! Cash only though so keep that in mind.
Katherine Milligan
I was visiting and staying very close by to this ice cream shop! This is some of the best ice cream I’ve had in a very long time. They can have lines on the weekend but it is well worth it! Very unique flavors and willing to give out samples to try them out! I really enjoyed their white peach elderflower sorbet!
Carolyn
Lots of flavors to choose from and they are delicious (as are the cones)! Some flavors are really unique too so there's always something exciting to try. They get really busy but the line moves quickly.
Tip for customers: they're cash only and it's hard to see all the flavors they offer when there's a long line. Have someone hold your place while you pop up by the front to look at the flavor list.
Tip for the business: post the ice cream flavors closer to the door - it makes no sense to post them by the cash register when you order before then!
Nicole
Yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!! I came here about three years ago and that ice cream was delicious! The line was out the door and it was well worth the wait! I just came here again and it was still amazing! They have such cool flavors! I saw on the food Network that they are famous for their lavender honey. I was not a big fan of it but what I had was a creole strawberry. It is creole cream cheese ice cream with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was delicious! My boyfriend had a peanut butter filled cup and chocolate ice cream inside. That was delicious also. It was really fun to see the people making ice cream there and it was a very nice atmosphere. I think it is well worth the drive from downtown to come here.
Cørrado LéBlanc
one of the best ice cream parlors/soda shops I have ever been to, I come here atleast 3 or 4 times a month. Amazing ice cream, great variety of flavors, great staff, and phenomenal milkshakes. 10/10 5 stars all day!!
*The only bad reviews you'll see about this place are self-righteous people who live to bash people's businesses simply because it brings them joy.
Melvin Woods
Good stuff. 1st time. Nice layout & courteous employees.
Heather Dechman
Love this place. Every time.
Jedediah McMunn
Damn tasty ice cream with multiple flavor choices. I suggest the green fairy or the chocolate amaretto cheese cake. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful allowing for multiple samples in the name of allowing us to find the perfect ice cream flavor for our afternoon. I couldn't choose one so I went with the reasonably-priced four scoop sampler. It was damn tasty.
Love N Gratitude
I came here to celebrate Ice Cream Day as I rarely eat ice cream. The workers didn’t know anything about it. They just seemed so unenthusiastic, nonchalant, and uninspired. Some places you go, especially in New Orleans, the atmosphere and workers are vibrant and lively. This is not that kind of place, despite the colorful walls and tables. Maybe I just went on an off day, but next time I’ll try another ice cream spot.
The ice cream was okay. It pretty much had the same nonchalant quality and flavor as the workers.
Sarah LaRocca
Very good ice cream. I got cherry vanilla malt and salty smoky chocolate almond (both delicious, though as a chocolate lover I preferred the chocolate) and my husband got creole cream cheese (he loved it, I was so-so).
Gio Garcia
Delicious, constantly crowded for a reason, lots of choices of homemade ice cream. Cash only establishment.
Lindsey N.
Wonderful cash only ice cream shop with endless flavors to choose from. Highly recommend the cream cheese flavor. Prices are very reasonable. Our family of four had more ice cream than we ever needed for $18.25. Worth every penny.
Greg DeSanto
Absolutely the best ice cream in New Orleans. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are tons of awesome flavors to choose from! The building is decorated like an old school ice cream parlor and is a place I always bring my out of town guests.
Jyoti. M. Agarwal
Ordered a salted caramel with fresh strawberries.. tasty 😋 …
邱甯容
They have tons of flavor for you to choose, and it tastes sooooo good. The price is very reasonable and I definitely will go again!!!

Best ice cream on the planet probably. Anyone visiting nola needs to try this place, they make all their ice cream themselves and I've loved every flavor I've tried, but my go to is the cotton candy, its super creamy and light, not overly sweet at all, its this perfect consistency.
Alisa Nelson
Creole creamery has such delicious ice cream! They have so many different flavors and many unique flavors. I love the lavender honey and Creole cream cheese, especially. Parking is across the street; it's very popular, but worth any potential wait.
Allison Preslar
There were so many interesting flavors! I loved that they had a mini scoop sampler available because I would have been there all night deciding! The ice cream was great and the line moved quickly. I would definitely return on my next trip down there!
Charity Murphy
I so loved all their different flavors. My friends and I got sampler dishes so we could try all the flavors and we were not disappointed! By far the most surprising one was the Mexican hot chocolate it had the greatest dark chocolate taste along with a little tingle in the back of your throat. Just so good
Farihah Haque
I love the ice cream here! They have so many unique flavors - and a whole section on chocolate! The staff is extremely friendly and lets you try as many flavors as you'd like. Its a cash only business, but fortunately there's a CVS with an ATM right across the street.
I usually opt for just a cone or bowl of ice cream, but they have so many fabulous sundae options, too!
Annie Waring
Great ice cream, both unique and classic flavors
Elijah Shoaf
Bad business practices like a $5 minimum card charge, no tasting, and no bathroom access. However, ice cream was extremely delicious. I guess this goes to show that we let the things we love abuse us.
A K
This place has the most dazzling array of ice cream flavours I’ve ever seen ! Our uber driver recommended this place and she was so right. It’s a cute store with servers who give great recommendations. We got the cantaloupe sorbet and the lavender honey. Both were light and refreshing - perfect for a hot summer day. I liked the cantaloupe a little more since it reminded me of the fruit I used to eat back home in India. The lavender was slightly heavier but had the delicious aroma of the flower which I enjoyed. Two scoops for 6 dollars seemed great and I totally recommend this place.
Christian Collett
Great selection of ice creams and sorbet flavors. Staff was friendly and happy to offer samples. Prices were reasonable and scoops were generous too. Recommend if you need to fulfil your sweet tooth!
Rob L.
Ice cream was good, except for one, Whit sangria something...it tasted the same way new carpet smells. The other flavors we're great though.
It was clean, good atmosphere and variety of choices. Malts, shakes, sundaes, coffee. Great snack stop.
Eric Beecher
Fantastic ice cream! There's an entire freezer section devoted to chocolate flavors. I was particularly impressed by the Chocwork Orange. Dark chocolate with orange, can it get any better? I tried to get our party of four to split an outrageous 8 scoop 8 topping sundae but no takers. After ordering I also noticed a flight/sampling option on the menu. Seems like a great option if you're visiting New Orleans and only making one stop at the Creole Creamery.
Benjamin
Great little ice cream shop with lots of unique flavors. Cash only but there are several ATMs at nearby shops and it's completely worth the hassle.
Ben McLeish
The best ice cream in the world, literally! We go several times a month. What are you waiting on? Go now! Don't settle for mediocre alternatives and be angry that you wasted your money somewhere else. There is no decision here. Make it a goal to try every flavor. Bring your friend and they will start referring to you as their best friend. Bring your date and a ring because they will realize you make amazing decisions and will be ready to marry you on the spot.
Robyn RoSser
The staff was super friendly. Social distancing was observed. The ice cream was delicious! They offer some really funKy and cool flavors.
Unique Lee
People rave about their ice cream, but I wasn't very impressed. The unusual flavors were rather muted. They have tons of flavors, but you can't see them because they go all the way down the counter (where people are standing), but they take your order at the beginning. Plus, they limit how much you can taste (which wouldn't be a problem if they had normal flavors - you can't have it both ways folks).
Michael Bauman
Great ice cream in a waffle cone.
Amanda Torres
JEFFERY ALWAYS HELPS ME PICK OUT THE BEST FLAVORS. Everything is homemade and there is always a new exciting flavor to try! Right now I’m really loving the olive oil and sea salt. ❤️❤️ best ice cream parlor in town.
Tabitha Davis
This is the best ice cream shop in New Orleans! The selection is amazing! You can order your basic flavors or try exotic flavors. My favorites are the |Petit Flour| |Creole Cream Cheese| |Lavender Honey| |Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate| |Blood Orange & Star Anise Sorbet|. I also like the old school vibe! Creole Creamery is hands down my favorite spot for delicious ice cream!
Jennifer Rocconi
The brownie al a mode is the best one I've ever had! My finance loves the vanilla milkshakes
K. Russell
The ice cream was delicious! Creole Creamery has a huge variety of unique flavors, and they can accommodate individuals with nut allergies! There is street parking close, which is a plus. We liked the atmosphere of the store and area too!
Andrea Stewart
Pear Balsamic Caramel. So delicious! The unique flavors (lavender, goat cheese mission fig, magnolia blossom) are amazing but even their chocolate and vanilla offerings are anything but basic. A real treat for ice cream aficionados!
Joshua Arndt
Delicous ice cream. So many flavors. Good thing I don't live nearby I would visit too often! Would be nice if they had some seating inside or outside but its hard to please everyone with nervousness abounding.
Michael Smith
Excellent place for whatever cold treat suits you! Amazing, unique flavors will accommodate any pallet. They are currently not offering sample (due to Covid), but they were very patient previously. They have also started accepting credit cards - previously it was cash only.
Aryela Gonzalez
Amazing. Wish you guys would ship the Ice cream to Florida !!
Rachel Perlow
Those giving it a low review just don't get it. Sure they have a great variety of sometimes unusual flavors. But the true reason Creole Creamery is so great is the ice cream is very fresh (it's made in house). I've never had "icy" ice cream (caused by improper storage). Always creamy and delicious. Also, good coffee from a local roaster, cheap! ($1.50 reg coffee, $2.75 cappuccino, for example)
Bert Loftin
Delicious ice cream concoctions combined with a pleasant atmosphere which equates to a great time and good laughs.
Lorieal Green
Delicious ice cream in lots of creative flavors. I had the honey lavender and Creole cream cheese. My son's had the cotton candy and my husband enjoyed the red velvet ice cream. We would definitely go back.
Kalehua Lee
The service was excellent and the ice cream was delicious! So many flavors and so little time! I had the sampler. That's 6 small scoops of the flavors you pick. I will be back again.
todd keller
The ice cream is the best treat and the different flavor combinations are excellent. This was the first time going to the Prytania location. The parking can be a bit tricky but the ice cream is definitely worth it. I'm addicted to the Oatmeal cookie flavored ice cream. It will change your life.
A P
Homemade ice cream, gelato, sorbet. All five stars. Great place to go with your family, by yourself, or to bring out of town folks. A little expensive but so worth it! Always a line, always fresh product. We try to visit here when in New Orleans. Everyone is always happy with the flavor they chose. They make their waffle cones here too.
Laurel Jensen
I went here on my birthday with my husband and another couple. Cute, hoppin' place!! Ice cream flavors are unique and creative, and the menu offers lots of different choices. I would hesitate going here again because it's a little pricier (about $3 for 1 scoop, or--as my husband and I did--$5 for 4 mini scoops that we shared). Remember, they only take CASH!!! so come prepared. :)
Regina Alvarez
My family and I visit here as often as possible we found this gem during this passed summer and having been coming here since! We love it!! The prices are great and the flavors are amazing! Some of our fave flavors are cotton candy and petite four... to name a couple!!
Charlie Sharitz
This place is great. We went late on a Sunday night and the line was almost out the door but moved incredibly fast. I got the "3 scoops" which was SO much ice cream. It was probably more than a pint. Parking was no problem at this location.
Also keep in mind they have an 8-scoop 8-topping challenge for $30. I might try that next time I'm in town but I'm not confident I would be able to beat it considering how tough it was to finish my "3 scoops" cup.
Ariel Pennington
Cute place in a historic building. Lots of unique flavors. Low prices. Friendly employees.
Kelsey Gairhan
Yuuum! Best ice cream in New Orleans, in my opinion. They have a HUGE variety of flavors (seasonal and permanent), and even when it's crazy busy the staff are all super sweet. Be prepared to wait in line though, especially in the summer!
Sabrina Harris
The best ice cream ever. Love the honey lavender and magnolia flavors they are my favorite i come from Baton Rouge often.
Jesse Lyons Live
The ice cream is delicious. They had some really delicious exotic flavors. The Mexican chocolate ice cream is my favorite, but it is very spicy. This place is really busy for a Sunday evening, but that's because the ice cream is amazing. Parking may be an issue. If you park in the plaza across the street they might tow you.
LJ Verm
Would recommend. Nice little ice cream shop with a great selection.
Louise Gretschel
Got the bittersweet chocolate torte, tres leches, and also tried the lavender and cream cheese flavors in ice cream cake. AMAZING, concentrated chocolate flavor, and all the other flavors were delicious too
Bigpun Young
Great ice cream kinda pricey
Vman Homeboycooking
This icecream is fresh and delicious. Lots of flavors and even a selection of sugar free creams. I am somewhat sensitive to lactose. Not a worry here. This is a great product. The creative flavors are great. A guilty pleasure in which I endulge without guilt or ill effect. The staff is effecient and friendly as they serve a line that is always present. That speaks volumes alone. Put this spot on your foodie list and you won't be disappointed.
mjnc2009
WOW! This was one of our favorite ice cream places we have been to! We tried many delicious and unique flavors. I can't say enough about how fantastic the customer service was when we went!
Devon Carney
OMG the ice cream here is Amazballz!! The flavor combinations are so creative. You can taste before you buy. The employees are very friendly and encourage you to sample. They seemed just as excited about the ice cream as we were. This will be a regular stop whenever we are visiting NOLA. The only issue we had was that they only take cash. This proved to be quite inconvenient since one person was treating the entire party. No one carries that amount of cash on them anymore. Please start taking cards.
Michaela Prostak
I’m not a huge ice cream eater but when I crave it, I need it immediately. And Creole Creamery did not disappoint. I was a little sad that they did not have pistachio, my go-to choice, but the king cake flavor was really good! Not too sweet, either.
Karl Obeid
Fast service and huge selections with a lot of special flavors only found there like their famous Cream Cheese icecream. The salted caramel and red velvet were great and my sister had one of their specials and loved it too.
Tanya Hoarn
Interesting flavors and a great way to cool off. Hoping to make it back again before heading for home.
Candace
Rarely stop in this place because it is always so busy. However, there is a reason why. The ice cream is creamy and flavorful. I like that they carry seasonal favorites like king cake but also the old faithfuls like buttered pecan and creole cream cheese.
KC Flaker
I don't generally like ice cream, but this is delicious. Try the black and gold, Mexican chocolate or ginger carrot cake. The line is long, but moves quickly. The service is friendly and prices are reasonable.
Mariel Verónica
Delightful ice cream! Nice and attentive staff!! Love the waffle cone, I enjoyed the Chantilly Slam, best ice cream ever! Is a mascarpone ice cream with cake pieces and a hint of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. I think it also have caramel. Delicious! 😋🤤👌 …
Eddy Guttierrez III
Ice cream is great and scoopers were wonderful but there's no changing table at either location as if there's not a ton of kids and babies in the place
shane macy
We hauled over a few of our Holsteins to be milked but this is not your typical creamery. They just sell deserts and didn't want anything to do with our cows. The deserts are good though.
Ashleigh Sosa
Best ice cream spot in new orleans! I highly recommend this place to everyone! They make really good flavors... some unique as well as your classics. You can sample the flavors your are interested in to see if it is exactly what you want or if you should go another route.
Mari Beard
We went here back in October, it was so warm and the idea of an ice cream in an air conditioned shop was bliss! We we’re happy to discover the Creole Creamery has an awesome selection of tasty flavours, we came back twice! I had a great selection which included black chai, pear and balsamic caramel, pumpkin praline, lavender honey, caramel apple cider, cafe au lait and salty smokey chocolate almond. My partner had 2 sundaes which were also DELICIOUS! Go here it’s worth it!
JC RXN
I try the goat cheese with figs ice cream and it was the most mouthwatering and tasty ice cream 🍦 I ever try. Ever tried Lavender Honey-flavored ice cream? How about Sweet Potato Sassafras Praline? The only place that has unique flavors like these is The Creole Creamery in New Orleans. Guy called Head Chef Bryan Gilmore a wizard, and it's easy to see why — he's made over 400 flavors of ice cream.
Brittany Saxton
Great local vibe and great prices! They were even featured on Food Network a few years ago! We all loved our treats. They offer traditional flavors as well as flavors like Lavender and honey and Creole Cream Cheese!
Cary Berthelot
I love this place. So many unique and exciting flavors. Go with the sampler so you can have 4 or 6 small scoops and experience all the flavors
Jason McGee
Cool flavors. Great place for ice cream lovers!
Sylvia Negrete
The best salted caramel ice cream I've EVER tasted! Loved loved it!!
Cody Grindol
They have the most incredible flavors and the wildest flavors, sometimes those 2 things become a Venn diagram!
Jack Valentine
Great ice cream spot. I got the 4 scoop sampler for $5 which hit the spot perfectly for a hot summer day. Lot's of unique flavors if that's your thing but I went for the classics and was very happy.
Katheryn Beeler
Best ice cream I've ever eaten! The flavors are so complex. We are here twice during our weekend trip and wished we could have made it back for a third time. My boyfriend and I would love to figure out a way to distribute this ice cream in Atlanta! But we'd probably just eat all the supply ourselves.
Kris Clulee
Awesome awesome awesome!!!! Have been here many of times and have enjoyed it every time. Love that there is a variety to choose from each time we come.
If you not sure if you like something or not, they will give you a taste to see. I normally get something different each time I go. Haven't really had anything I disliked.
The only drawbacks are that you have to find a place to park on the street and it's CASH ONLY! No problem, because there are two bank ATM nearby.
Jaime Johnson
Ice cream is amazing! So much choices😁 …
Jeff Shaw
Great ice cream and friendly staff. Very busy, but that's probably because it's that good.
Minus one star for cash only. Not taking cards in 2017 either means you're doing funny business with taxes or you don't want more sales. Square readers are cheap and their rates are low, so there's no excuse.
Eric Biagas
Creole Cream Cheese and Creole Creamery… always a favorite
Raymond Sweet
I love the food here. The ice cream is amazing. I am concerned that in a 60% black city none of the staff was black. Not one. That tells me something about the management there. And I can't trust any organization that excludes people in hiring. Perhaps out of the 10 times I have been there the Black employees were not working.
Josh Frick
Great little local ice cream shop with tons of delicious options. The ice cream is really well done and very high quality for the price. Service is great too. When you show up there'll probably be a line but it goes relatively quickly. The only thing that's slightly inconvenient is that they're cash only.
Renee Kunian
Gourmet Ice Cream in a traditional ice cream parlor for the whole family. The traditional flavors kids love as well as sophisticated takes on classics. The I Scream Fudge takes ice cream to a whole other level. Local favorites like creole cream cheese, black and gold crunch and red velvet are also found regularly. Gourmands and Foodies will not be disappointed with the exotic flavors dreamed up by the talented ice cream chef.
Bantu D. Gross, Ph.D.
Some of the best ice cream in the city. The line can be long at times but the ice cream is worth the wait. The Black n Gold crunch is my current favorite flavor
Emma Gorac
Crazy busy but the girls who work here are super efficient and friendly. Although, They should definitely have a limit on how many flavors you can try, especially when they're swamped. One girl was helping a couple in front of us and we lost count of how many flavors they tried after 10 between the two of them and they didn't even buy any of the ones they tasted. The poor girl was trying to get to the huge line out the door and I was very impressed with her patience. I just think it would make everything run smoothly if they limited it to 2-3 at a time when it's at peak hours. But that's just me. Besides that i love this place and it's definitely worth the wait! I've never been disappointed!
Dewitt Tyler Harrison
Delicious; good service! recommend the 8 scoop sampler or the cookie monster sundae
Sarah Robertson
I used to say this is a 5 star place due to the unique flavors like magnolia and lavender honey but the last two times we went the ice cream was bland and disappointing. Even my usual favorite flavors. I have since stopped going because it's not worth the price if the ice cream isn't up to snuff.
zack carter
this is my favorite ice cream
place but please bring back the big straws
:( it’s hard to drink the milkshakes with a small straw
Chandra Cox
Really good ice cream. I got the Lavender Honey flavor and was happy with it. It's a subtle flavor but unique and delicious.
Juanita Castelo
So amazing!!! Cute, retro decor. The ice cream is fantastic, creamy & dense, & they have a ton of great flavors. Service was great & quick, even though it was super busy!
Mad Hatter
Different but very tasty flavors. After all the free sampling, it's not easy deciding on just one. Great place to visit with the family and did I mention how good the ice cream is?
Stephen Wolf
Best icecream period. Bring cash. So many unique flavors available. Mini scoop sampler and multiple visits is a must to get a taste of all this awsomeness!
Zak Ostertag
Amazing ice cream. The peanut butter fudge Sunday is unbelievable. I crave it when I'm not in town. A few critiques though: It's a bit too expensive to be cash-only. Counter service could be a lot friendlier and on my most recent visit, my $6.50 Sunday was served in a smaller styrofoam cup instead of the larger, iced glass dish.
Chris Fitzpatrick
Very unique place with many flavors
Kathy D
Great variety of different flavors. Creamy and smooth. Definitely worth a visit.
Joyce Curry
Delicious ice cream! The mini sampler is a must try.
Maged Gharably
Best Ice cream in New Orleans, unique rich flavors, not like anything you would taste at regular ice cream shops. Try Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge. Great prices, but they only take cash so make sure you plan ahead.
Kate Kosche
Love the ice cream! Interesting flavors and worth a visit. You do go there for the unique flavors. If you want the basic flavors of course a quality store-bought will do, but for the interesting flavors this place is very enjoyable.
Kara Murphy
The Junior Sundae was a good size serving if you don't want too much. If you want a great deal, get the Cookie Monster Sundae, its big enough for two. Staff was very friendly & the environment was comfortable.
Lionel Young Jr
Very good homemade ice cream
Buck Dingler
The ice cream is great. The flavors are unique. The service was awkward and unfriendly. They seemed more interested in talking to each other than helping us. Felt like we were interrupting them.
Jacob C.
CASH ONLY- This is the BEST place to get ice cream in New Orleans. Their ice cream flavors rotate frequently, and my favorite is the King Cake (which only shows up around Mardi Gras season) and Earl Grey. Pro tip- you can get a 2 “half scoops” of different flavors for the price of one “single scoop”!
Thomas Fox
I make my own ice cream at home, so I'm often disappointed when I go out for ice cream. This was definitely some of the best I've ever eaten. Every bite was worth it. You have got to go here.
Miles Love
Local ice cream shop with tons of different flavors (classics, exotics, combinations, shakes, etc.) Plenty of indoor seating and fairly quick service. Be aware the line can be out of hand some days, but worth the wait. Also be aware, CASH ONLY!!! No worries though, there are a couple Chase ATMs a close walk in either direction if you forget.
Oscar Valenzuela
Original flavors and decent prices make this a must, not to mention the general heat and humidity of New Orleans.
alice torello
I have wonderful childhood memories of the old Mckenzie's Bakery. Now that it is the Creole Creamery new memories are being created with my children and grandchildren. They will always remember how unique and delicious the ice-cream is at the Creamery. Thank you David and Bryan for these little sweet pleasures.
Nick Ahrens
Fantastic ice cream, not your typical creamery. Tons of unique flavors and toppings along with menu items that I've never seen anywhere else before. Only downside is that they only accept cash, no credit.
Marlene Laiche
They typically have long lines but it moves quickly!! Very friendly staff. We didn't feel rushed as we tried to figure which flavor we wanted. The ice cream is of high quality & delicious!
Brenda Wolfe
They have so many flavors, and their malts are very nice. They are cash only so I wasn't able to buy as much ice cream as I wanted to. This is probably for the best.
Chad Beraud
Honestly, it's all great. I like going there and mixing a sweet fruity flavor with their Cafe au lait ice cream(coffee with hot milk flavored) or chocolate. Their waffle cones are made fresh and are delicious.
Walter Smith
Best ice cream in town! Great service and creative flavors. If these folks sold pints...your favorite brand would be in trouble.
Korbinian Scheckenhofer
I loved taking the street car down St. Charles Avenue and stopping at this ice cream place. Portion sizes are very generous and the variety of flavours will certainly please everyone.
Kelsey Smith
Oh my gosh this place has amazing ice cream. The lavender ice cream was stellar and was exactly what I've been trying to find for ages! It is not even that chilly in there, so it's not tough to grab some ice cream and hang out.
tara madden
Genius ice cream flavors. Love the chefs perfect chocolate and salted caramel and lots more. Service is generally good.
Brenda Adams
Enjoyed fabulous ice cream on a warm evening when visiting New Orleans. Highly recommend, ice cream was delicious ..very unique flavors. Lavander honey was so yummy. Very friendly staff.
Ashley Blackmer
Great ice cream and options!
Lauren B
So many flavors... Loved the ice cream here. I had the red velvet flavor, and had a chance to taste a few others which were also really good. They have alot if interesting flavors to choose from.
Kae Ajes
They had really good unique flavors and their ice cream was very creamy.
ra Thompson
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We went here twice in two days! Tried (and loved) the olive oil and sea salt, milk chocolate, and creole cream cheese flavors. All were AMAZING. Adequately staffed so that there were plenty of people able to help when the line got long.
Marcia Hirsch
The best of the local ice cream parlors in a city that is strangely in want of good ice cream. The textures are good, but the flavors are not intense enough for my palate.
Alan Babiliński
Boy, this place sure lives up to it's star level. We had the creole cream ice cream, the red velvet, the cookie monster, and the cafe au lait flavor. They were all excellent. The staff was nice and the creamery was clean. The one thing to note is that this place is CASH ONLY. I had no issue with this as it appears to be somewhat common in New Orleans. It is also super close to the St. Charles trolley line.
Suzanne Felber (Lifestylist)
Such a great find! Awesome ice cream and service
Billy Duane Stronach
I love this place. I ate an ice cream sundae every night there recently after a break-up. It was a good enough excuse.
Brian Denzer
Fantastic ice cream. Tonight's favorite was a lemon verbena blueberry. Cash only, which is an intolerable annoyance if you've waited in line to read the tiny sign displayed at the counter, and should be an invitation to audit. Seriously. It's the 21st century. There's only one reason businesses operate cash only. Dubious cleanliness, as staff both serve food and handle money with no apparent hand washing in between, and I might think hats would be required if staff wear their hair long. Yes, I've long worked in the food business, including a stint as a soda jerk at an old fashioned ice cream parlor.
Ashley Kim
Best damn ice cream I have ever had!!! Saw this place on Man Vs. Food. I got 2 scoops of the cookie monster ice cream and it was to die for. Will go again to try more flavors. Also will note it is CASH ONLY so make sure you got cash on ya
kimberly deeb
This place is amazing! My favorite is the lavender honey ice cream. They make it all themselves and have sample dishes! The decor is simple and funky! I make a trip here every time I'm in town!
Terry Green
Loved it!!! Fresh flavors. Friendly staff. Cash only.
Caleb Izdepski
Special place tucked uptown. The Steen's and oatmeal is perfect.
Kaori Keyser
There are some really good ice cream choices here. Many of the flavors are kind of on the lighter side so they don't make you feel as weighed down as some other ice creams do. It's cash only though!
Jeanette Moscato
My favorite ice cream shop anywhere! Flavors like summer fig and honey lavender. I like getting a small scoop sampler. Just make sure you bring cash.
Kim RoSser
I was disappointed they didn't have Mexican Chocolate but the ice cream here is all good. Too bad there aren't some outside seating areas. Staff is super helpful.
Wood Dawg
Very good selection of flavors and great menu of various ice cream dishes. However, two people working the counter on a hot summer afternoon, WOW!
Jessica Hewett
Creole Creamery is the best place for ice cream in New Orleans. There are so many unique flavors beyond the more basic flavors they offer. My favorite is mango and habanero called Mango Unchained. The lavender ice cream is also amazing!
Craig Foster
Creole Creamery rocks the best ice cream in New Orleans. Some of my personal favorites are the Cookie Monster, which includes a delectable mash-up of cookies and cream, chocolate chip cookie dough and more, or the lavender ice cream which just tastes like summer in the south. But I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of their fresh and creative flavors.
Timothy Joyce
Oh man, what a great place! This is a must visit every time I go to New Orleans. Too many great icecream flavors to choose from and excellent lattes. Usually crowded and for a good reason!
F. Jackson
Service was great. They the most interesting flavors and they all good to! The menu changes so you have to go into the Creamery to see what is currently on there.
Dan Hall
The ice cream was delicious. Many different flavors. They actually make the ice cream there in the shop. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Prices were a little steep though.
Brittney Crossland
I thought that this place was great. I have been to some of the best ice cream places in San Francisco (Mitchell's), oakland (Fenton's), Alhambra (Fosselman) spell check, Tillamook in Oregon, Salt and straw in portland, and this place I would say had the best lavender ice cream. Their prices were great, and their unique flavors weren't overwhelmingly sweet or to strong.
C. Paul Courtney
This was another location we chose after seeing it on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and it was another let down by Guy.
There simply isn't anything special about the ice cream. It's good, yes. They have a ton of unique flavors, yes. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. But there isn't a "WOW" factor here. It's hard to say why this place gets featured on a nationally televised food show while others don't. Nothing about the place truly stands out. If I'm in the neighborhood and have a hankerin' for some ice cream, I'll drop by. Otherwise, your local grocery store will do just fine.
Kent Simmons
The best ice cream know to man. Best butter pecan ice cream I've ever tasted. It's wassup.
sweetbabee3
Stopped by while headed home from a getaway on a rainy day. The rain did not matter to me anymore once I received my ice cream. The lavender honey and magnolia are lightly flavored and truly decadent. Can’t wait to get my hands on more.
Christopher Duhon
Best quality ice cream I've had in a while. Great employees and service. Would recommend to anyone who is a ice cream lover in any form or fashion.
Dave Rea
This is the 3rd or 4th time we've been here over the last few years (when we come to visit), and it has always been consistent.
The flavors are always true to their description, and you can always taste every flavor listed.
Mitchell Greer
This place very interesting for a couple of different reasons. One is that they were making the candy where you could watch. It is also located within walking distance of a lot of different attractions around the French quarter. The atmosphere in the place was good but kinda average. The reason that I did not give it a 5 is due to the fact that it is pretty pricy for what you are getting.
Bradley Pierson
Olive oil and sea salt ice cream is ridiculously good. Great service, everyone had on masks. Can't wait to go back. And they now take credit cards.
Mitchell Griffin
Ice cream wa wonderful and service was great
Angie Mazerat
The uptown location is fairly far away for me. They've opened up a new one that is close to me on Metairie Road but I will always return back to the original uptown, despite the travel. The welcoming friendly staff uptown is always right on point. I never have any issues at that location; I always enter and leave completely happy and completely satisfied. The couple of times I have gone to the Metairie location I have been VERY disappointed. The staff seemed haphazard and chaotic --I was actually charged incorrectly for someone else's ice cream. The pints I ordered were an inch from being filled to the top!! So, the new Metairie location needs a LOT more training and a lot more work, but the uptown location will never disappoint.
Petie Danson
CCreamery lives up to the hype. The ice cream is really really good. Small place, get crowded on weekends and tourist season. The waffle cones are so thin and crisp, try their cones this way.
A Bricj
We all enjoyed the ice cream, at Creole Creamery, such a tasty treat! Large Menu of Creative Ice Creams Flavors, try the Green Fairy. I will be back!
Rick Ambrose
Great home made ice cream, delicious, don't miss this gem in New Orleans
Robyn Howard
Amazing how much flavor their ice cream has. It is the best place I've ever been for ice cream! Just so you're prepared, it's cash only.
Wade Halstead
This place has the best of both worlds...it's outstanding and cheap. I dont know how they pay their rent, it's so cheap. The Black-and-Gold Crunch is my favorite, followed by the Mexican Hot Chocolate. If you want to split something special with someone special, get one of their $5 sundays. Cash only, but plenty of ATMs nearby.
Alejandro Martínez Reyes
Best ice cream I've had in my life! Unique flavors for a very good prize. The only thing I needed when I was here was room in my stomach for more!
Deirdre Richardson Albert
So therapeutic! 1/2 scoop of Red Velvet Cake and 1/2 of Petit For ice cream in a waffle cone absolutely amazing combination.
Christopher Talbot
It's cash only. But don't let that stop you from going. There's a CVS across the street to get some cash back of you don't have any. The flavors are magnificent and always changing. A must go to ice cream shop.
Zach Walker
Great selection of classic and crazy flavors. Highly recommended the Mexican chocolate and the "chocwork orange" flavors! It is a bit pricey but that should be expected in the uptown areas just off St. Charles.
Isabella
I visited NOLA last year and this was the greatest ice cream I've ever had. I still think about it often. The flavors are so unique and the ice cream itself is so lush.
Monica Bowers
The chocolate Amaretto The Chef's Choice chocolate the honey lavender we're all great choices the earl grey did not taste like Earl Grey just tastes like black tea I like that they offer affogato
Michael Murphy
Absolutely the best ice-cream in New Orleans. They have some awesome seasonal favorites like "black and gold crunch" and "Steen's molasses and oatmeal" . They have some really unique flavors too. You have to make them part of your diet.
Adam Gicewicz
There is no other ice cream. I have never had ice cream this flavorful or original. They mix up the flavors frequently and you never know what new flavor will be available. Try the Tchoupitoulas challenge if you're feeling ambitious.
Aditya Karandikar
Delicious and well-priced with lots of fun flavors! Definitely worth a stop for ice cream lovers.
Beth Perkins
Always delicious ice cream served up by friendly and courteous people.
Dani Arnold
So good! Freshly made waffle cones and a wide variety of delicious, original flavors (peanut butter fudge pie and petite four being top of my mini taste test!)
Just remember they are cash only 🙂
Nancy Gervais
Family friendly shop in an old McKenzies bake shop is a great mix of nostalgia and fresh new ideas. Expect some old favorites and many new combinations with ingredients like pine needle essence, lavender, and earl grey tea. Great value for such special concoctions.
Allison
The ice cream is made fresh every morning and they cycle out seasonal flavors, like Lucky Charms (milk) for St. Patrick's Day! So good. My go to are Creole cream cheese (a classic), cafe au lait, and red velvet. They can make any a shake or malt, have plenty of sundaes including a clown for the kiddos, can make you s pint or quart of any flavor (s). It is cash only, but that's fine bc there's two banks and an atm across the street at walgreens. Also, just two blocks off the streetcar. I'm a local, I like about .7 miles away and walk here every other weekend. SO GOOD and totally worth the calories!
Oh, and they make cakes and will host birthday parties.
Judson Adams
Love the ice cream. Tons of amazing flavors. Remember it's cash only so bring your dough. If not there are several ATMs right next door
momo
You gotta hand it to these folks when it comes down to blocking off the table and chairs. Hats off to them for the creative skeletons stressed in Xmas outfits + masking up when they are quite dead.
It's a bit over whelming to decide on flavors. There are too many. I went based on the recommendation of the server. The Doberge Ice Cream is on par with the cake. We added hot fudge and enjoyed the heck out of this cup!
K V
Unique, home made ice cream flavors that are truly delicious and a must try when in NOLA. But, for crying out loud, start taking credit cards. This cash only thing is a pain and kind of dumb in 2017.
Carolyn McCarthy (Seven)
Super nice counter girls! The petit four flavor is outstanding, and they let me try several others before I decided!! Great size scoop, and more than worth the price!
Red Holiday
Has an old school ice cream parlor feel. I like how you get to sample everything in the sample bowl. They have very unique flavors like lavender and it's all natural .
Katie Adams
I was kind of bummed when Cold Stone closed down but found that Creole creamery was just as good if not better. Atmosphere is fun always full of college students. Make sure you have cash beforehand because they do not take cards
Stephany
Everytime I'm in town, this is a must stop!!!!! The taste is just so different from other ice creams. There's no way to describe it. You just have to come in! You won't regret it!
Mary Ricci
Classic New Orleans twist on ice cream. Creole Creamery has the classic ice cream flavors as well as some you'll only find in the Crescent City such as Black and Gold Crunch. Cash only!
Claudia Fazzio
Lots of flavors..neat place
joe moser
So the ice cream was good. I went there for a soda that I saw featured on Food Network. The soda fountain was down I think she said. Service seems so so to me. I can get ice cream anywhere I was looking for something unique
A A
AFFOGATO! My new favorite word! Definitely glad we made the trip here during our New Orleans visit. Great service. Great tasting ice cream & espresso. CASH ONLY, FYI
Chris Bourgeois
Best southern ice cream shop uptown. Great flavors and great old-school ice cream feel to the place. The scoops are big. Lots of specialties.
Stephen LaGuardia
Delicious fresh ice cream, no line.
Paul Unger II
A fantastic local favorite. This Ice Cream Parlor has the normal and unique flavors made fresh with a traditional New Orleans feeling. Lines can be long at times and it is CASH only.
Eve Barajas
My go-to flavor is red velvet. Their atmosphere is amazing, and they have suck a wide variety of flavors. They even do cake!
Michael Neinast
Some of the best ice cream I’ve had anywhere. Really great variety of unique and classic flavors that are all made very well
Cassandra Puderbaugh (Cassie)
Best ice cream parlor in town! I've never tasted ice cream like this before and the selection is HUGE! If you're in the mood for ice cream while you're in New Orleans, this is the place!
Jax Robertson
I'm burdened with the fact that this place is just down the block from me. It's all I can do to keep from going there daily. If you're a chocolate ice cream fan, this place has an *entire case* of chocolate flavors. All made in house, all creamy, and all delicious. No outdoor seating, so bring a wrap.
Kelsey Reid
Always good to come back here for over ten years and see nothing has changed. My heart is warm everytime! Excellent creamy ice cream made on site!
Gabriel Senette
The best ice cream parlor I've ever been to. Original, always high-quality ingredients - complex, thoughtful recipes.
Esmeralda Araiza
YUM. Such good ice cream. I had the chocolate amaretto cheesecake and it was the bomb. I also tried the key lime flavor, but too sour for me. I'll stick to chocolate. :)
Lauren Harper
Delicious! Friendly staff and quick service!
Dara P
Mexican hot chocolate & white chocolate raspberry crunch❣Yum!
4/28/22 Got a new flavor; Cherry Chocolate Stout. More yum from me.
Lisa L.
I feel like this ice cream is lacking fat. Moomer's in Traverse City is ten million times better, but in all fairness it is run on a working dairy farm.
Thuy-Linh Nguyen
Get the Ricotta Fiorito as a milkshake! You won't regret it! You'll get bits of chocolate, pistachio, and cherry mixed throughout for a pleasant mouthfeel.
Dom Rosse
Great ice cream, cheap, quick service. Only negative is it can get very busy and as to be expected at an ice cream parlor there can be five or more children getting a sugar high at once.
Pete Knapp
If travelling with a big group, order the $30 Tchoupitoulas - a gigantic, completely customizable eight scoop ice cream sundae. Kids and adults love it.
Yomaira Carcamo
Great ice cream, true flavors had the chocolate milk personally and I couldn’t get enough of it.
Sara Soriano
Delicious flavors every day! The service is friendly and it's a great neighborhood spot. And the children's art on the wall is a happy reminder that it is family owned and family friendly.
Dmann Florida
What great icecream. Great service even with tons and tons of customers. Had choc almond salt ice cream. So good. Right amount of salt and almonds.
Natalie Baptiste
Loved this place! All types of flavors, family oriented and plenty of places to sit. We came and there was a line but it moved very quickly. My only recommendation is that they take card payments. It’s a cash only place.
Meco Cooper (Coop De Ville)
A huge variety of confectionery delights, be patient, line is long but moves quickly.
Colin
Nice cool old fashioned ice cream place. Ice cream tast great and the associates were very helpful. Next time I come back to new Orleans we will visit again.
Cara
Wow! They exceeded my expectations! The scoops are huge and delicious! Definitely worth the price! The only thing that I didn’t like was that they only accept cash.
D'Jerria DeMolle
The Christmas cookie is the best. They offer the basic popular flavors as well as exceptional seasonal ones.
Nita Das
The best icecream shop in NOLA. Try their salted caramel in waffle cone. It is the best.
Noah Atwi
Slightly pricey but wonderful ice cream in creative flavors. Only takes cash. Lovely ice cream cakes as well.
Jess A
Nice staff delicious ice cream.
Tommy King
Cool shop with great ice cream and other sweets!
rubbie romero
Expensive icecream but expensive taste. You get what you paid for and it is oh so worth it. They are so nice here and dont rush you. I was in heaven the first time I tried it.
David Irthum
This is great place for ice cream, the service is excellent, the staff is attentive, the prices are more than I expected and the parking is very limited and very busy traffic wise to leave from the street parking.
Adam Gluckman
Hand crafted ice cream with combinations and flavors you will not find anywhere else. Make sure to bring cash as they don't take plastic.
michael raff
Great ice cream and unique flavors nothing you can find anywhere else. Love this place eveytime I am in NOLA I stop in for a visit
Steve Stigall
Excellent ice cream at this old school creamery. So many flavors to choose from. Would love to find something similar back in Dallas.
Justin Riddler
Great staff and service! Very family oriented. Delicious ice cream. Would definately return. Odd grade school artwork on display when we visited
Wesley and Samantha at Wild West Pest Management
Wow!!! The smoked ice cream and the Cajun cream cheese ice cream are absolutely delicious!!!
Randall G
Pretty damn good stuff. You can tell this is the high fat content ice cream, which makes it very rich. The flavors are great and they have great little sampler things you can get.
Andrew McAuliffe
The ice cream here is delicious. Try the Mexican Chocolate; it's the first spicy ice cream I've ever tasted! They are cash-only though, unfortunately.
Cynthia T
The original location. Everything is handmade with an old-school soda shop feel. Don't attempt the Tchopitulas alone! Totally get a free samples, but don't go crazy. Cash Only; ATM across the street!
B Rich
Awesome idea for promoting the flavors of the south and NOLA. Enjoyed bananas Foster's and peanut butter pie ice cream in tha waffle cone! Bam was super great!
Blake Kehres
Cash only. They have many flavors and add new ones periodically. Usually a line and for good reason. It is some great ice cream.
Razek Srour
Great atmosphere. Inventive ice cream flavors that both kids and adults will enjoy! Cash only.
Dan Wiet
Cash only, so go prepared. Had the lavender honey which was refreshing, but a little heavy on the lavender. Will definitely go back to try other flavors!
John Coloe
Fantastic servers. Even better sweets fix!
Debbie White
Came in for an after dinner treat, such a great atmosphere, so many choices of ice cream and treats. Delicious!!!
Sarah Hansel Klein
Delicious! Fresh. Intriguing flavors. Friendly, efficient staff. Reasonable prices. Only downside is the wait, which should be expected at a place this good.
Vanessa Young
So delicious. Their ice cream is unique and a great price.
Jennifer Hairr
Yummy ice cream with a unique variety of flavors.
Kris Hooper
I can't do lactose, but the sherbets were mighty, especially the pear and ginger. My partner groaned with delight at her ice cream. That's encouraging.
Hippie Griswold
One of the best ice cream places I have ever been. A must visit if you love ice cream. CASH ONLY!
Diego Villalobos
A reliably delicious mainstay of this neighborhood, you can't go wrong with their selection of both classic and original flavors.
Nicole Leonard
Cafe au lait and regular vanilla were both delicious! And you've got to get their homemade waffle cones! Yum!!!
Carl Giraulo
Absolutly love this place and the staff. They remember my orders and have a delicious selection of ice cream.
Ani Kahaian
Best ice cream shop I've been to in New Orleans! It's nice and local with seasonal flavors and amazing waffle cones!
Shawana Awais
Best ice cream in New Orleans, variety of flavors for all ice cream lovers, loved their lavender flavor ice cream🙂 …
Clifford Stockman
One person service to many and ice cream titles not accurate as to what we ate. I Scream Fudge had little to no fudge in it and Maple Walnut had no maple taste and NO Walnuts on it.
Kayla
Amazing ice cream flavors and it's a lot bigger than the Lakeview location. Sadly, it's cash only so come prepared!!
Kassandra
Lots of fun flavors! It's nice they let you have 3 to 4 flavors in an order
Alfredo Gomez
Great place awesome flavors! The gentleman whom took care of us seemed pretty annoyed while giving us different samples... His attitude totally killed the experience
Rubén Morales Forte
Some of the best and most varied ice cream in town.
Kat McCann
Always great ice cream! Flavors change daily, great selection. New Orleans Standard! The Go To place for premium Ice Cream!
Angie Homeschool Mom
Wow! Best icecream shop we've ever been to! If you are in the Garden District area, this is a MUST go to stop!
Bryan Davis
All of the homemade ice cream at Creole Creamery is diverse and flavorful. However, the creole cream cheese is a savior to some, but it to me tasted like a frozen block of standard cream cheese.
Myra And Watson
Best ice cream ever
Ashley Davis
This ice cream is worth standing in line for!
Laurie Newman
Amazing flavors...BUT..they need better parking. DON'T PARK IN THE LOT ACROSS THE STREET. They will ticket and chase you down. That's the ONLY reason we go to their other location and not this one.
Andrew Reich
Best ice cream in the city! Tchoupitoulas Challenge was a great experience to compete against friends- killed it in 24 minutes. I recommend the the banana splits
Danny Barrow
Need one in Baton Rouge. One of these days I will write a petition. A good ole day ice cream parlor with flavors for everyone
A B
My favorite ice cream place! Always get the mini scoop sampler because of all the great flavors!
Joseph Chen
Very tasty ice cream. $3 for a scoop. Unusual flavors including lavender honey and red velvet.
Brittany Compton
They always have the best ice cream! Top 3 ice cream places in Nola!
Lumumba Moulton
The ice cream was good but what business doesn't take credit cards in 2017? They need a much bigger sign that days cash only.
Jen H
The flavors! So many flavors! Petit four with actual petit four cake added. Come on, it is awesome like that which makes this epic ice cream.
Jose Luis Jimenez
Picture say it all. Great ice cream place!
Emma Simon
Any excuse to come here is a good one. Super reasonable prices for amazing ice cream. Bring cash, they're cash only!
Eliz O
Very busy and popular place. They make great ice cream with lots of original and delicious flavors!

Kristina Parsons
I saw this place on DDD. This is a must go to when you visit NOLA!
Chuck Guzy

The servers were funny and personable and the ice cream was fantastic. The other people we're enjoying themselves as well even though it was crowded.
Giselle DeDiego
Really quick service even when packed. Delicious ice cream and so many options for topping and flavors it can make your head spin.

Cindy Paola Lumbi Cuadra
Amazing ❤️I remembered my country 🥹 …
Ari Sonesh
Just an OK place. No sugar added ice cream wasn't rich like in other places.
Jorge Toro
This place is cash only and they do not have a atm inside. But there is a CVS and Chase bank a cross the street with atms. Very nice workers and lots of things to choose from.
Kingdom Overseers Outreach Ministries
This is the best ice cream parlor I've ever been to in my entire life. The line was out the door when I arrived, service was great, and worth minimal wait.
Craig Hansard
Super flavors, great toppings, so many choices. Seriously contemplating moving to New Orleans just to eat this daily. Ok, maybe not, but it's awesome.

Jennifer James
Unique and Classic flavors and great service even though we showed up 8 minutes before closing! Great waffle cones also!
Alan Fink
Awesome ice cream in flavors I wouldn't even imagine (eg absinthe with chocolate chunks and orange peel). At low prices that this NYer would not think feasible.
Dale Perkins
😋 …
Joseph Mendoza
They had some great ice cream and the staff was funny. If i had more time i would have driven through the neighborhood near by. Its a nice area
Ellsworth Ozzy Amos III
Great customer service. Wife said the 3 scoop of different ice creams was awesome
M Kutzmer
Excellent ice cream. Love the assorted flavors!
Theo Roll
Great tasting and assortment of flavors. Staff could easily be frazzled by long lines and amount of crazy kids, but were friendly and efficient. Great place.
Betty Jean Mader
Really good ice-cream in some creative flavors. Price is good but be warned, they are cash only.
