Reviews of Sarabhas creamery
Roger L. Conner
Nashville has another premium Ice cream store. Three reasons to try it soon: The flavors include a nod to the owners’ native land—India. Portions are generous. Best of all, it’s a roomy space with lots of tables and chairs. It’s quite a contrast from Jenni’s, which forces you out the door the moment you are served. Sarabhas encourages you to linger and enjoy music from the Punjab. Great place for a family outing. One note: it is upstairs from Chipotle,

This Indian ice cream shop has excellent ice cream! Tucked upstairs, this shop has a ton of space and tables and really affordable ice cream for the location. Each table has a different board game that you can play with friends which is such a cool vibe for an ice cream shop.
The single scoop options are close to 2 scoops!
The kesar (saffron) flavor is unreal. So creamy and flavorful. One of the best ice cream flavors I’ve had before.
The chai flavor is also excellent. Super pungent and sweet and so creamy.
These ice creams are made in house and the staff are super friendly. You can sample flavors!

I get the hype. The reviews are definitely warranted. I was pretty impressed with the texture and flavor of these ice creams.
They have a bunch of really unique flavors you won’t find anywhere else in Nashville. Definitely worth giving a few flavors a try.
Quanetta McNeal
Lovely location for authentic homemade Indian ice cream. Journey upstairs to enter a retro social vibes space with music, open loft style space to enjoy unique flavors such as chai and saffron. Scoops are complimented with a waffle chip. I will return again. Enjoy!

Was super excited to come to this place but was a little disappointed.
The mango and chai spice flavor i got didn’t seem to impress me a lot .
I sampled the indian coffee and toasted coconut which were decent but overall the flavors lacked the punch i was looking for compared to the local favorite Jenis.
Maybe the other flavors they have will be really good and will definitely give it a try.
The customer service and the place is really good . They also have some board games which all of us enjoyed.
Will definitely give this place another try and hope to change my review.

Lovely local creamery and owners are so friendly. It’s so spacious if you wanna hang out or read a book 📖— totally a coffee shop vibe (they do serve tea/coffee as well).
I was so pleasantly surprised by the flavors and portion size - everything was great. My favorites were rose tutti-frutti and mango. A tad sweeter than I’d have liked, but I can get behind that - since the flavors weren’t artificial.
They do have parking (first 90 mins free). Find stairs around the corner to go upstairs if you’re going there for the first time.
Highly recommend!

A cute Indian creamery + cafe with a really cozy ambiance on 21st. In addition to homemade Indian ice cream, they also sell homemade puff pastries, chai, coffee, milkshakes, and kulfi.
The ice cream flavors are unique and innovative -- mango, peanut butter chocolate, chai spice, strawberry white chocolate, Indian coffee, and my new personal favorite: saffron (kesar)!
I got the saffron and chai ice cream, the paneer puff, and kesar and mango kulfi and they were all fantastic!
The paneer puff was very fresh and filled with vegetables and cheese and came with a mint chutney and spicy tamarind sauce.
Kulfi is an Indian "popsicle" that is denser (because it's not whipped) and creamier than ice cream. The mango kulfi I had was made with mango puree and cream.
Super excited to introduce this place to y'all.
-- There are also an assortment of authentic Indian desserts and drinks now! I got the masala shikanji which is a spiced fizzy "lemonade" with ginger, mint, cumin, fennel, coriander, pepper, and more -- it's really interesting and not for the faint of heart. The owner grinds the spices by hand in a mortar and pestle for each drink for optimal freshness.

Huge clean space, you can tell the ice cream is made with love. Coconut and chai flavors were good, my friend got pistachio which was NEXT level and I never say that about pistachio. Waffle cone was a bit hard but ice cream still made up for it. I technically ordered a single scoop but the counter guy was nice enough to give me an extra scoop bc I couldn’t narrow down to one. We ordered a chai, took maybe 10-15 minutes to make, seemed like fresh ginger was used but didn’t taste like chai we were expecting. Overall good vibes and abundant tables and seats to enjoy your ice cream. Clean bathroom. Lovely service. I also happen to love Punjabi music so that was a plus ;) #justiceforsidhumoosewala

It was surprisingly quiet inside, although the place was not empty. Which I liked.. the person who served my ice cream was very gentle. He even gave me an additional scoop because I didn't take the ice cream waffle. However, the ice cream that I tried was mediocre. This is probably because I ordered a regular ice cream (Creamy Cream) rather than Indian ice cream, which is their specialties. Given that there's not much ice cream places to choose on this block if you are on foot(Here and Ben and Jerry), I'd recommend Sarah's creamery if you are looking for more creamy stuff.
Sarin
Ice cream is phenomenal, I lived in India for a few years, some of the flavors took me back to the flavors from India, definitely going to be coming back here frequently.
the masala chai was comparable to a Starbucks chai rather than an Indian street masala chai.
But the owner did say he is adding a new version of the masala chai to the menu that would more authentic to India masala chai.
Virginia Liu
Amazing customer service and amazing ice cream!! The flavors are unlike any I’ve had before. Really great textures. Guru was so sweet and let us try a bunch of flavors. It’s really aesthetic inside too.
Stacey Frawley
What a late night off the beaten path find! Sunday night at 10:40pm (closes at 11p) and the staff was friendly, accommodating and the ice cream was divine! Absolutely divine! Had the cashew and peanut butter chocolate and was NOT disappointed in ANY way!
Amber Whitaker
Hands down the creamiest ice cream I ever had. No wonder they were in this years Best in Nashville Festival. The Indian Coffee was stellar!
William Ravenel
I had time to kill before heading to Mellow Mushroom on 21st Ave near Vanderbilt, so I parked my car in the lot across the street and wandered aimlessly past the adjacent restaurants. There was a sign in the space next to the stairs directing traffic to SARABHA’S upstairs, so I headed there. Long story shortened for you: it’s the best creamery I’ve ever visited. I took this photo of the menu and circled their premium ice cream; the saffron ice cream with pistachios is simply the best ice cream my girlfriend and I have ever eaten. And we swore off ice cream a year ago. It’s all we can do to not eat the entire pint in one sitting.
ketan rajput
Amazing indian flavor ice cream. Loved chai spice, butterscotch and mango. Great ambiance and service. A Nashville must do!
Briz & Stacey Garcia
Delicious and unique flavors, served with humility. My daughter and I were visiting Vanderbilt and Sarabhas was recommended by our tour guide as the best ice cream shop in town. We are so glad we stopped in. The owner suggested we try a double scoop plate, and try four flavors. We chose Kesar Pista, Butterscotch, Mango, and Chai Spice. We were very impressed with the flavors, especially the Kesar Pista and Butterscotch. My daughter said it was unlike anything she has ever tasted. We also shared a puff pastry with paneer that was equally tasty. What I enjoyed most was the humility displayed by the staff. They were genuinely grateful we came to visit. Thank you for a memorable time in Nashville.

In love with their Rose Falooda, absolutely authentic ❤ Mango icecream was oh so yummy 😋 Ambience is calm and welcoming and some amazing board games while you enjoy your icecream. Will be back to try other flavors. …
Michelle
The gentleman serving me today was extremely polite and accommodating! I tried a couple samples before getting a single scoop of Mango ice-cream. I really like the texture of the ice-cream and the sugary crunch of the complimentary waffle piece. Moreover, I also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the pretty decorations. I’m definitely going to be coming here more and try out all the other flavors.
Edit: Guys, i just tried the spiced chai flavor and i think it’s my new fave.
Saras Sharma
Incredible homemade Indian ice cream. They also have cakes, pastries, milkshakes, chai and Indian coffee! They also have kulfi! Will keep coming back.
Robert Binkowski
I had the gulab jamun with saffron ice cream… sublime and authentic. I’ve had a lot of Indian desserts, probably hundreds of times in my life, and this is the best.
Robert Norton
Amazing place. Had a coffee and peanut butter + chocolate sccop in a waffle cone. It was huge!
It's upstairs to the Chipotle. Definitely worth a visit. They also have Kulfi which looks excellent.
Renee Black
First visit to this unique ice creamery. The ice cream is delicious- homemade flavors you won’t find anywhere else! I loved the Indian coffee, Spiced chai and Saffron Pistachio. So hard to choose just one! We will definitely return. A five star treat for sure!
Rosie Rose
Ice creams and desserts are made fresh here daily with very many choices from India and other exotic places. I tried the cardamom raisin and a chocolate shake and they were both amazing. Wonderful vibe in the store with Indian music
Andrew Hu
Came here to study with friends, such a great atmosphere and experience! Family owned it seems and the workers were so warm and welcoming. I got the saffron ice cream which was totally new to me and I loved it. Will be coming more in the future!
Meredith Denney
Great ice cream and even greater service. I’ve been about 6 times since they opened, and I have to say that the saffron pistachio has been my favorite! The atmosphere is great. I love the coffee shop feel with the board games.
Jeremy Burchard
Super rich and very unique flavors. Unlike other ice cream spots around. Cool vibe and very sweet people working in the shop (pun intended). Haven’t tried the savory food or coffee options yet but definitely will!
Emaun Irani
This is by far the best ice cream in Nashville, and some of the best ice cream we have ever had! The flavors are varied, and the interior is so pleasant and inviting. There are even small games at every table! If you are after something sweet, you can’t do better than Sarabhas.
Alex Brown
If you like Jeni’s, you will love this place. Every flavor I have tried is amazing, my favorites are the cardamom raisin, the chai, and the mango (which tastes like a frozen mango lassi). The owner is incredibly kind and the atmosphere is really fun. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
Yousef Sindi
Sarabhas Creamery is amazing! I’ve been twice now and gotten the Shahi Gulab both times. It might literally be my most favorite ice cream dish I have ever had! This place is a must try and they’re open pretty late on weekends so it’s a great chill vibe late night. Highly recommend!!
alana ross
This ice cream shop is the best in Nashville. Their ice cream is homemade, incredibly well. The couple that owns the store is extremely nice, and the ambiance is as well. I can't recommend this place enough, it's amazing!
TwoWheel Jockey
Staff is super friendly and wow, the ice cream is incredible. Flavors are phenomenal and it is buttery smooth.
Ben Blanton
Wonderful ice cream - we even got a pint of the mango to take home.
The location is cute, and comfortable. They even have a stage for live music. Will be back!
*Many visits later, I maintain my five star rating, and encourage you to give them a shot. Far and away the best ice cream spot in Nashville.
Valerie Clift
We all agreed this is the BEST ice cream we’ve had. The flavors are so delicious and don’t taste artificial. Very clean and each table has cute little table games.
Ariel Thorson
They have vegan flavors!!! I came here today for the first time and I got the kesar pista (pistachio flavor), mango, chai spice, and coconut! They were all vegan—they have another vegan flavor called Indian Coffee that I want to try next time. I love pistachio ice cream, so I really enjoyed the Kesar Pista. The mango was incredible and might be my favorite. The chai spice was full of flavor and had a good balance of spices. The coconut was subtle, so if you love coconut flavor, you might want a more robust coconutty taste, but it was very creamy and delicious! You really can’t go wrong with Sarabhas! The owner makes the ice creams each day and clearly is passionate about sharing these wonderful ice creams with the world! I love that he created so many excellent vegan flavors! I will definitely be coming back
Andrew Ragland
Comfy atmosphere, spotlessly clean, very welcoming. I had the chocolate and the coconut, my wife had the kesar pista and the cardamom raisin, all of which were delicious. No ice crystals, very smooth, the texture shows care taken in the process. I'll be back any time I'm on that side of town.
Tay Rossi
Small, off the beaten path, but locally owned and delicious. They have so many good flavors but the mint chocolate chip is out of this world. 12/10
Sneha jetti
Great place to hangout and delicious icecream. I enjoyed my icecream with good music and great customer service
Nida A.
Really good masala chai, coffee coffee shop vibes and the food that I got (an egg sandwich and a cheese puff) were also very tasty. I’ll have to come back again to try the ice cream and play some board games!
Shannon Garrett
10 out of 10, would recommend! I love trying local ice cream shops when I'm traveling. I stumbled upon Sarabhas on my last night in Nashville and WOW was I impressed. Hidden away on the second floor of a shopping center, when you enter it, it's amazingly peaceful. With a mix of authentic Indian music and earth tones, I could have relaxed there for hours. I also appreciated that it was a comfortable temperature, compared to the freezer-like temperature of most ice cream shops ice visited.
The attendant was friendly and patient while I tried several flavors, before settling on a scoop of caramel crunch. It was absolutely OUTSTANDING! They also offer a variety of more exotic flavors like Chai and saffron, as well as drinks and a few light food items.
Ashley Holstein
Creamy delicious ice cream, great ambience and kid friendly! Parking is a little difficult on busy times and ice cream is about $6 for a single scoop but it is delicious and yummy.

Mango ice cream is da best. Smooth, rich ,flavourful. Come get your fix , it's well worth it
Matthew Sullivan

Amanda Wilkinson
Such a great little place! Super friendly service. The ice cream was super creamy and delicious and the atmosphere of the store is fun! I’m just here visiting, but I would be a frequent visitor if I were local!
CapedPersuader J
The ice cream is outstanding and so different from standard ice cream places. My wife and I had a coffee as well, which takes a little bit to prepare, but was incredible with more complexity than anything from other shops I've been to.
Shawn
Good ice cream!! …however a bit over priced. Waffle cones very weak/crumbly but tasted delicious!
Elle Chan

The ice cream was great, and the flavors are really unique! Im excited to try the other flavors because they all seem so good. The atmosphere was so cozy but also had lots of fun decor. It would be such a fun place to hang out with friends or do some work. Not to mention the customer service was great and he was so sweet. Would definitely reccomend to anyone!!
Dani Silvestri
I'm always a tad suspicious when a place has a perfect 5 stars. Well let me tell you, Sarabahs ABSOLUTELY deserves it! I got a chai coffee, mango milkshake, and an Indian coffee ice cream - all of them were phenomenal. The atmosphere was lively and extremely warm & welcoming - even though I showed up pretty close to closing time. On top of that the employee (I believe he was the owner) was beyond kind and sweet. My only disappointment is that I don't live closer (the drive from Florida is a bit long!), because I definitely would be making this a regular stop otherwise. What a magical place :)
Taylor Simpson
Wow so good! I got the Kulfi which I had never had before and it was some of the most unique tasting ice cream I'd ever had. Excited to go back and try the other two flavors. Atmosphere was very cute and the person working was very sweet and nice. Definitely worth a visit.
msurocks21
This place is fantastic! I come for ice cream at night and enjoy working from home with the best Chai in Nashville. Cannot recommend this place enough. The ice cream is delicious, the owner is incredibly kind, and the atmosphere is perfect.
Ankush Patel
Cute place, awesome owners, even better ice cream. Super convenient for Vanderbilt campus. Little pricey but worth it, everything is homemade and delicious! I've been back a ton and tried their chai and different ice creams and everything is so good. If you're in the area definitely try it!

Sarabhas Creamery is the most exquisite, real, and delicious ice cream! Both the owners are extremely courteous. They let us sample the ice cream before deciding and served everyone with utmost detail. The ice cream is so fresh, not overly sweet, the cones are delicate and a treat of their own. Highly recommend Sarabhas!
Margah Ohlt
I work next door and have been salivating over the smells wafting into our shop from Sarabha's Creamery for a few weeks now in anticipation of their opening. I got a double scoop of their mango ice cream and was not disappointed I was immediately hit with the taste of the real mango in it! The atmosphere is welcoming with the host truly happy to see you when you come in and is more than happy to answer your questions.
Zach Nelson
Fantastic ice cream and the owner was super nice! Highly recommend the butterscotch!
Rachel Palumbo
Was really in the mood for ice cream and this was close by and had GREAT reviews. I just finished off a whole pint of creamy cream, chai spice , and the saffron flavor In one sitting. Fantastic ice cream . The Kulfi is a fun street food ice cream experience. The waffle cones are worth the extra. Crispy, sweet, buttery. The mango ice cream is excellent (the favorite for our family). All natural flavoring is used, homemade nightly, and very consistent texture. One of my favorite ice cream experiences in town. Chai spice is a mild chai and very creamy. Indian coffee was also a hit.
Dr. Victoria Z
Amazing ice cream with a variety of amazing (and very original) flavors. Great atmosphere to sit down as well.

The ambience and interiors is amazing and very spacious with ample amount of indoor and outdoor seating.
We tried pan , parle G flavor ice cream paan was really good while Parle G flavor was a bit mild.
Rose falooda was good with ample quantity.
Kudos to the owner’s for letting us bring our small dog inside. Generally Indian restaurants/outlets are does not allow pets except service dogs 🐕🦺 inside.
Definitely try them out you would love it 😎

Sarabhas is one of my favorite places in Nashville.
It’s hands down the best ice cream I’ve ever had!
Today I tried the paneer puff pastry and masala shikanji and they both truly blew my mind.
The (very nice, always smiling) owner made masala shikanji fresh including squeezing fresh lemon juice!!
I am a chef myself and I say this in all sincerity— they deserve a James Beard award.
Just wow!!

Best creamery around! Support Sarabhas!
