Gem of a place . The ice creams and shakes are the best thing you will find in town . We had the hot fudge soft serve along with the peanut butter shake . Both were fresh and delicious. Right next to hattie bs. So have your hot chicken and rush to this place to cool or sugar down your mouth . Highly recommend.

This iconic Nashville establishment is a throw back to an old school ice cream stand. My daughter swears it’s the best ice cream cone she has ever had. They are super friendly and the food is really good too. There’s always a chance you will run into someone famous as well. Make this a go-to destination for a great family night out.

Everything is made to order and fresh, the burger I had was mouthwatering good, and the ice cream was definitely good, but they lack a wide variety which I was expecting from a place called the Dairy Dip. There is no indoor seating, this was no problem for me and my party but worth noting, and the man at the counter was helpful and attentive.

Do you love soft serve? This is soft serve heaven for those who love a no-frills soft serve. Their hot fudge dipped vanilla soft serve is out of this world, and the portion sizes are gigantic. If you know what a McDonald's cone size is like, double that and that is the SMALL size here. It is fantastic. Their milkshakes and other desserts are also great! And while I haven't tried their regular food, I can't imagine it being anything but good, so definitely come to this place when you can!

One of the few great local ice cream joints in town. Stop by for a soft serve, some strawberry shortcake, or Bobbie's take on an M&M blizzard (extreme M&Ms to ice cream ratio). During the summer, the place closes at 9pm, so enjoy the extended hours and cool off under a fan in their outdoor seating area. Beware, their soft serve sizes can be dumbfounding, as a grown man I don't venture larger than a "kids" size cone. Enjoy!!

I had a cup of vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. Great soft serve, reasonable price. My original order was a chocolate dipped cone with topping, but I was told it would have to be a cup, so I forwent the chocolate dip. I saw someone walking around with exactly what I asked for so I know they do it. Slightly bummed. I don’t know if it was a communication error or what, but if you go here, and you should, it’s great ice cream, be very clear with your order.

Great old fashioned ice cream stand. The burger is surprisingly delicious and fries are a must if you’re already getting a burger!! This is the only place in the city I know of where you can get a Hot fudge cake, which I consider a staple at ice cream stands. Everything was very good and service was fast :) if you want food and ice cream, they will let you pay for both at the same time and pick up your ice cream later when you are ready for it. Very accommodating!

Burgers are disappointing but the different choices of ice cream, shakes, and desserts are really good. It's only open seasonally as it's outdoor dining only. They didn't accept cash last time I went. I recommend their shakes as their regular food is overpriced and only average at best.

I’ve been a long time customer of this restaurant, been going there since I was a kid, and went again earlier today with my family. The girl at the window was very kind, professional, and patient with us as we all placed our order and everything came out perfectly as always! The lines can be a bit overwhelming, but the excellent customer service, beautiful ice cream, top notch food, and overall fantastic environment definitely make it worth the wait, and it’s generally fairly covid-safe, making it one of the few places my family feels comfortable eating at.

Another mainstay for hometowners. The best shakes and burgers in West Nashville. The have been hit with the post pandemic labor shortage, but worth the wait. No carhops so just walkup and place your order. Next to a another Nashville mainstay got chicken establishment. So you can kill two food groups "hot chicken and burgers" within a 100 feet. Please only share this your best friends!!

The food is surprisingly delicious here. Usually if you think of a place that specializes in ice cream and such you never know what to expect of the food. The cheeseburger was delicious! The fries needed more seasoning which is why I gave the rating a 4 instead of 5 stars. But they were cooked well and still had a good flavor. We will definitely be returning as a family. Great food. Excellent desserts. A new family favorite!

So much fun! Very nostalgic, and great counter staff. We had cheese burgers, fries, and swirl soft serve. I've lived in Nashville 30yrs and just never made it to Bobbie's until last night. We ordered in no time, and our food was cooked to order in 15 minutes. Food is good, and it's a nice walk up place, with picnic table seating. Nice on a warm evening.

Visiting in the Nations area of Nashville and of all the eateries we have stopped at, this one alone is following CDC and state guidelines to keep themselves and customers safe. Probably explains why they have been around for years. Very generous servings for the price. Tastes great!

It's a historical spot... They've been there since the early 50's. The only have soft - serve ice cream. Good prices... Everything is outside... There is no indoor seating. But the picnic tables on the side of the building have a canopy over them to keep the sun off you while you eat. They have more than ice cream. Parking is decent. Kind of like a locally owned Dairy Queen. Keep your eyes open when looking for it... You can easily miss it.

The best ever! Walk back in time! Best tasting soft serve ice cream in town. Crowded walk up, not much parking but worth the trio to this 40+ year old West Nashville treasure. Home cooked food as well. I have been a regular since 1993, always great!

Great old fashioned hamburger and ice cream stop. They have all outdoor seating with shaded picnic tables. There is a order window and pick up window. The shakes and onion rings are great. Not five stars because it took a while to get our food. Otherwise everything was fresh and delicious.

Once a year visit. Different ownership? Signs say masks are required to order but no one seen doing so. Not that this worries me. Cash only due to covid Botton portion of cone was stale Ice cream had an awkward taste. Cant really explain it? Id say almost a light hint of being sour. I didnt really have that sense of taste until i was almost done. My cone was a large van/choc with sprinkles. Paid about $5ish. My last visit was summer 2020 and prior 2019 which i encountered no issues and would give 5 stars then. Today was not the case.

Bobbie's has been here longer than I can remember. Great burgers and fries. My kids love to go for the soft serve. They have covered outdoor seating with fans. There are chalkboard for the kiddos to draw on. It and Wendell Smiths are still holding their own!

Vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. Nuff said. Sometimes they have butterscotch - or even blue raspberry which are both awesome. Just plan on going straight home after the blue raspberry due to blue mouth syndrome. Love this place.

I love the James Brown Shake, the only good Coffee shake I've had to be honest. I won't deny, the place doesn't look the most attractive, but the best places never are.

Great food for a great price.... There's not many places left that are reasonably priced and offer a good hamburger and a shake. Charlotte Avenue is crawling with tons of new burger joints but this one has always stood out for its price, the atmosphere, and the food...good stuff. Definitely a Nashville staple in the area.

Historic and delicious. If you're from the north this is the kind of soft serve place you remember as a kid. FYI a small is huge! Bobby's dairy dip is old school Nashville. I'm happy to support these older businesses. If you've never had a dipped cone this is the place to try one of their many flavors.

This is one on my favorite places to take the kids for ice cream and shakes. It is a total old-school, order at the window place. Prices are reasonable and combinations are endless. My warning is that parking is tight and you do NOT want to get cones or sundaes if it is hot out...shakes only. Trust me! It will be a mess in less than a minute because it is all soft serve.

TL;DR: No more orange cream shake + poor service. I have some friends that live within walking distance of Bobbie's, so I've been there multiple times over the past few years. Their ice cream products are fantastic; however, my most recent visit was bad enough that I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. First off, they've recently changed their menu and no longer offer an orange cream milkshake. That was my favorite shake, so I was pretty disappointed. Instead, I ordered a chocolate peanut butter shake for myself and a drink for my wife. My friend ordered a butterfinger shake right after I placed my order. My friend received his shake within a minute of ordering, so I assumed my shake would be ready soon. After that we waited... and waited... and waited. After 20 minutes of waiting (I checked the receipt to confirm), they finally delivered my shake and my wife's drink. My friend had already finished his shake and was waiting patiently for us to receive our order. Several people that had been in line behind us had already been served. I'm not sure what the issue was as they weren't super busy at the time. The shake I ordered tasted great, but at that point I was just frustrated.

Simply the best. Soft serve ice cream from a 50's style stand. Burgers aren't bad, either, but you go for the cold stuff. Great atmosphere on a summer night-- families, couples, groups of friends-- Bobbie's is a great place to go!

One of my favorite places to visit in the summer (well whenever it's open). This little shack consistently servers some of the best burgers in Nashville. Their fries actually might be THE BEST; made from fresh-cut potatoes, fried to a nice Their ice cream is obviously great. Service is friendly for the most part but do expect a wait during hot summer days.

I want to love this place. It's your neighborhood ice cream stand, no frills, perfect for grabbing a cone. But! The hours always surprise me. Closing at 8:30 on a summer night? Closed on Sundays in the summer? My husband and I joke that they just don't seem to want to make money. Oh well.

40+ minute wait for average ice cream is what my standard experience is here. I'm not against this place, but the popularity of it vs the quality and price seem to be a bit disproportionate. That said, if we were looking at a couple of minutes for ice cream, there were a more efficient way of getting things done (such as getting napkins or condiments,) I'd be happy. Maybe I'm just too old and don't like sitting in 90 degree weather fighting off a horde of flies that have descended on a milky mess of a table near the back. Eh, it's good, just not OMG good for anything I've had. Would be a better rating if I could get in and out in less time than it takes to get my order.
