We went to Squeak Fest and it was cheesy fun! Good music, great vibe, and cheese!
After tacos and pizza and ice cream, we stopped into the Clock Shadow cheese shop and picked up some Black Pepper Bacon Cheese....how could we not?!
Brigitte Thompson
Purchased the black pepper and bacon cheese. Some cheese Kurds. And cheesy popcorn. Snack attack. So good. Highly recommend.

We drive up here from Illinois for a day trip. This is an historic creamery as it’s the very first urban creamery that started in Milwaukee. Very easy to find and close proximity parking. Although due to Covid they don’t do tours, they created a nice video showing the cheese production step by step. They had a variety of unique gourmet cheeses that you won’t find anywhere else and are made fresh daily. Of course cheese curds galore and a bonus was they had natural flavored dill curds too! They also had a bunch of other goodies and also feature honey from Honey Acres which is a long standing Apiary (honey production farm). I have a new appreciation for this creamery as they are doing everything they possibly can to respect the environment around them by also taking extra care for the cows and even what they are fed. They are located in a “green” building as well. We will be back every time we visit Milwaukee for sure! Cheese is delicious!

I was in town for a work thing and wanted some “squeaks” I found them on Goggle saw the pictures and reviews and knew I had to go. I was not disappointed not only was the Squeaks the best but the beef sticks were great too. The guy who helped me was super sweet and knowledgeable. Definitely a go back to place when in town.
Debbie Stewart
I was disappointed that they aren't having tours right now. My Dad and I went through there a few years ago and we really enjoyed it. There is a lot of history there.

Did the semi private tour and loved it! Had such a good time learning about the various cheeses. Also definitely try the Delores cheese. It was DELICIOUS! Also, their pairings were on point 👌🏽 I ended up buying their raspberry preserve! …

Squeaky fresh cheese curds every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday! Good selection of cheeses and local treats to accommodate the cheeses and meats available.
JD Portello
Amazing tour. Amazing location and tasting session. We even tasted fresh cheese curds. Rami the general manager was a wonderful host. The grilled cheese and the rasberry chutney were spectacular. A must if your are in Milwaukee.

I watched your segment on Spectrum news 1 it was a good interview the only thing that concern me was the person not wearing gloves for food safety
and sleves on his arms

Small artisanal cheese company only one Milwaukee city limits. Cheese to taste and buy. They make really good cheese on site. Quick stip for great cheese.

The cheese from this place is incredible!! I ate an entire loaf of bread with the goat cheese, scorpion pepper cheese and apple cranberry jam!! So good!!
Triscia Kellom
Squeakiest, most delicious cheese curds I have ever had! SO FRESH! Let co-workers try them and everyone had to know where I got them from! Taking the rest to Alaska for a friend that moved away and misses her WI Curds! SHE WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!
Brad Hebert
Great! Picked up some cheese curds on my way out of town. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Shannon McInnis
The actual best cheese curds in Milwaukee.
Shannah Dutka
Most creameries are in the vicinity of the cows. We hope this experiment in city creameries is successful. All tours are suspended due to COVID, but the video was a good second. It was very informative and shared the impact this creamery has within the community. If in Milwaukee, Clock Shadow is a good choice.

We're locals and this place is no secret. Hands down best cheese curds I have ever had. My favorite is the garlic dill, but I've never had a bad one. We had them provide 20lbs of curds for our wedding and they did not disappoint. They made them fresh that day and everyone loved them! The only thing is that when we originally tried to get an estimate of how much we would need, they by far underestimated the amount of cheese consumption of a Wisconsin wedding. :)

A great, quick tour/explanation of cheese making, for a fun morning or afternoon thing to do, that is not too expensive. Free parking was easy to find on the street on a Tuesday afternoon. I would recommend doing with kids 7 years old and up. They are a little skimpy with their free cheese samples.
Mario Gayoso
Great variety of cheeses and meat to accompany them on your cheese platters. Also they have seminars where you can learn about different type of cheeses, how to pair them with beer and wine and a little bit about the cheese making process. Very kind staff and good prices! Looking for a setepped up cheese buying experience. Be sure to swing by!
Jen Yerkes
Love this city cheese spot! Great variety of WI cheese and curds!

I heard of this place from a TV special or something, and I was jonesing for some cheese (Wisconsinites know what I'm talking about). In lieu of my cheese need and being in the area, I purchased some cheese curds from this establishment. With the first bite and squeak of the curd, I got my cheese fix in a hurry. Creamy, rich taste and perfect texture. Hands down the best cheese curds I ever consumed, and I've had plenty to compare. 😊 To complete this cheese curd experience, I would have to say I'm pathetically hooked now and like The Terminator once said, "I'll be back."

This was a neat find while searching the area for things to see and do. I was in the area for a business trip and wanted to get some cheese and see how it was made. I didn't make it for the demonstration, but I got a grilled cheese and bought a small block of cheddar.
Staff was friendly and helpful. They don't sell any kind of sampler, which would have been awesome to take back to the group, but I still enjoyed the cheddar and potters crackers I got.

We didn't have time and opportunity to take the tour, but they offer a tour of the cheese-making operation so that puts Clock Shadow a step up on any local competition. The extreme freshness of the stock is also a significant point in favor of this little cheese shop. The trade-off, of course, is that since they only really stock the cheese they make in-house, the selection isn't as impressive as any standard deli-counter.
Quality always wins over quantity, though, and Clock Shadow makes a premium product. The prices also reflect the lack of having to cover shipping prior to sale, so as premium cheese shops go, this was one of the least pricey we've seen to date. We picked up a few kinds of cheese curds for the road and kept them on ice. We ignored anything resembling a lunch place for the remainder of our trip since the curds or "squeaks" as they were labeled kept that squeaky freshness right up to the end of the bags. Clock Shadow definitely made our side trip to Milwaukee worthwhile, and we'd contemplate the 1300-odd mile trip to go back, take the tour, and eat more squeaks.

Well, i have no idea about cheese and cheese making but I really liked this place. During my Milwaukee tour, I got this opportunity to do cheese tasting at this place.
The guy over there was very helpful. I tried Habanero,Spicy cheese, chevre cheese(goat cheese) and some chutney. I just loved Habanero and Chevre but unfortunately both were sold out and I was not able to buy them.
This place is must for cheese lovers and for those who want to be cheese lovers.
Kaylynn
Cheese store is very nice! The have great cheese curds & cheese you can grill!! Factory tour is only $3 per person but it's more of a tour of the building & not the cheese making process, very disappointing.
Scott Hendrix
Friendly people, good cheese, local business! If you need to know anything about the cheeses, the cheese making process, possible pairings, or really anything else, don't be afraid to ask the knowledgeable staff. You can also get grilled cheese sandwiches and other snacks.
deb Hall
Molly was very knowledgeable and inclusive!
The tastings very good!
My only suggestion is that the room that the presentation occurs needs to look more professional.
The feel was that its used for storage or office space and is a place to stick this in.
Make it esthetically appealing. Also, your pictures you show should be larger and put on the wall, and frames broken.
We left with a feeling of fun and a new appreciation for what we take for granted in all that involves the cheese process!
Jaime Meyer
I am a huge fan of Clock Shadow cheese. I love cheese in general, but this building is extremely eco-friendly and it has a great story. We took a tour and learned a lot about Clock Shadow Creamery and their cheese. The tour is purely verbal, you do not get to walk through the production area, because it is small, but you do get to look at pictures and learn. Once the tour is done, it is all you can sample cheese tasting! We left with 4 different types of cheese. Yum!

Oh.... Well.... The place is in the downtown Milwackee area, but I swear that I feel like I am Up North at a little countrified creamery (Cheese Palace)...... I've been there about 4 times and I need to go back to get my SQUEEKER fix on.!!! What are SQUEEKERS you folks that are not from the land of CHEESE ask???.... Well it is an unformed Cheese not placed in a brick or mold or round that you typically will find in the grocery stores. Before Cheese is mashed into a mold or a round (or a ball) it is in little chunks floating around in a liquid (whey).....the little chunko'cheeses are formed by adding rennin (sp?) (rennin comes from scraping the inside of a cows lung) to whole milk.....They are called squeekers because the chunks or curds are so fresh that they will 'squeek' when rubbed against yer teeth whilst consuming them.......my daughter works in the Washington D/C area..... No Body there ever heard of squeekers.... I sent a box (oh, you can ship cheese and other Wisconsin products which they sell at that store) of 15 lbs of assorted cheese squeekers to my daughter who took them to work at her military base.... It was a HUGE HIT......try shipping squeekers to someone you know that is not from Wisconsin.....it will be a winner.!!
Selen Yucel
Great cheese! We did the tour and it exceeded expectations, we got so much out of it!
Samuel Crisanti
The tour is pretty good, especially for $3 per person. Artisan cheeses are decently priced. They also have local honey and jerky.
Anna Hautzinger
Neat cheese and specialty shop near the clocktower in Milwaukee. There are samples to try, I recommend experiencing the house-made quark. It's similar to a cream cheese, and often has stuff mixed into it like vegetables, or in this case, sweet stuff. Some of the cheese is house-made from local animals. There is also a selection of local cheeses, spreads, and crackers so you can make a lovely picnic.
The building itself is LEED certified, with recycled pickle barrel staves covering the outside walls.
Deepak Kumar
Small facility in the city! The tour is more like an information session with pics. But it is informative and the presenter is very knowledgeable. The cheese samples were awesome!
Stephanie Jackson
Cheese is very tasty with a large variety of cow, goat, sheep and even water Buffalo milk cheese. The tours were sold out though so I don't know how good they are.
Harris Connell
My favorite place to get a bloody in Milwaukee. In the summer they have a nice patio with outdoor seating. Rest of the cheese is great too.
Jenn Meyers
The tour was a nice little introduction to Milwaukee, but you have to pay $3 and get no cheese samples during the tour so that's a bit of a disappointment.
Sherry Chesnut
Visiting from Kansas City sooo glad we stopped here..the tour was very informative! We had such a nice group leader and the cheese samples were amazing definitely recommend!!!
Phyllis Hand
Delicious cheese curds (good variety, too - plain cheddar to garlic dill to cajun to pizza to..spicy ranch ?) and friendly staff. Will stop in again.

Awesome cheese curds!! We thought they were I've cream, but we're pleasently surprised with cheese! We loved it!

Interesting story for how they got the name, Clock Shadow. Most enjoyable stop on our trip. Oh yes the Samples were Delecious.
Jana Phillips
Missed seeing any cheese be made but the shop was filled with a huge variety. The worker didn’t greet or speak to anyone it appeared. We left with nothing but hope to find some cheese on the way home.
Denice Korean
Samples were awesome, staff is friendly, and there is free parking on the street. Tours are reservation only
Jonathan Stefaniak
Ate a grilled cheese sandwich, took their building and cheese making tour, and bought a bunch of cheese as a souvenir. Really delicious!
Chris Marshall
I just bought the cheddar cheese curds and they don’t have much flavor. I’m disappointed.
John Coanda
Small but nice. Fresh cheese samples, and best of all the tour is free.
Justin Sartler
I've been trying to get on the website to check it out but the web page has been "Suspended" So hopefully the cheese is better than their IT.
Joy Popovich
Quaint cheese shop. If you want the tour go during the week - there's nothing to see on the weekend.
Balaji Srinivasan
Was trying the cheese curds for the first time... So, couldn't compare then to others. But, what I tried there was interesting.

A great selection of cheese and other dairy products as well as souvenirs. Samples were also available. The tour of the building and the explanation of the production were informative and interesting, but unprofessional and not necessarily worth the money.
