Reviews of Dancing Lion Chocolate

The drinking chocolate is excellent and the chocolate they make here is just as much artwork as it is edible candy. The adjectives used to describe the chocolate can be a bit obtuse, but it’s designer, gourmet chocolate so if they want to call a piece of chocolate “spectacular,” “mysterious,” or “ambitious,” it seems fitting. I never ate a piece of chocolate more slowly as I tried to taste the notes of flavor in the chocolate. The blue chocolate bar we ate looked like a computer motherboard but tasted fantastic.

Quaint little chocolatier shop. Excellent hot drinking chocolate, regular or spicy! Owners are super sweet, place is clean, quiet, and the service is great! The chocolates are exquisite! Delightful to look at and scrumptious to eat. Highly recommend this small business.

Excellent service by a young gentleman. He was very knowledgeable about all the chocolate they had to offer. We had some delicious chocolate coffee and chocolate bars to go. Definitely will be stopping back the next time I’m in the area!

The hot chocolate is just heavenly. And don't get me started with the mallorcas.....those transported me to my native Puerto Rico with its aroma and flavor.
Not surprised at the quality of their products after chatting with Richard....his knowledge, enthusiasm and love for the cacao industry is just second to none.

I participated in a secret santa gift exchange and received chocolate from here. As someone who enjoys making and trying fancy chocolate, this blew me away. Each peice was a work of art.
The product was amazing and when I realized that it came from Richard's shop, I was elated! He is the chocolateir who inspired me to start making chocolate.
If you are looking to impress someone or don't know what to give as a gift, you can't go wrong with this chocolate.

Absolutely blown away with how good this is. We said we were from Puerto Rico, and lo and behold we and Richard had a mutual connection to a cacao farmer in Puerto Rico. He was clearly knowledgeable about the chocolate and was extremely friendly!
We had some mallorca sandwiches (which are ham and cheese sandwiches on sweet bread), a traditionally Puerto Rican dish, and they were absolutely authentic. Straight from grandma's kitchen! I had the sweet hot chocolate and the flavor was rich. I compared it to listening to your favorite song with high quality headphones for the first time. There was so much depth of flavor!
We walked out with a couple of chocolate bars. Fair warning - they are expensive compared to a typical chocolate bar, but that is because regular chocolate bars pale in comparison to these. They are absolute works of art! Richard was also happy to tell us how they tasted and gave us recommendations. It was very clear that each one was meticulously crafted for both flavor and looks.
10/10, highly recommend coming here if you are a fan of chocolate!

I had the opportunity to visit Dancing Lion Chocolate Shop a few weeks ago while up in Manchester. Being from the Washington D.C. area, I have to say that this was by far one of the finest chocolate shops I’ve ever been too. Richard Tango-Lowy, the shop’s owner is one of the finest chocolatiers in the world. I a great conversation over the fascination of chocolate sculpture processes, which can be found all over the internet with Shaman, one of the chocolatiers under Richard’s apprenticeship, who greeted guests as they arrived that day. Each chocolate is hand crafted and one of a kind, so when they were out of small gift boxes, which I wanted to get my wife, they made one especially for me, with love and care. Every aspect of the shop is exquisite, even down to the nepalese boxes they use for their chocolates. Let’s not forget their single origin hot chocolate, which will make you feel warm and toasty on a cold winters day. If you’re ever in Manchester, NH, you should make sure to visit this incredible little gem.

Hot chocolate smells and tastes divine! It’s the perfect place for a date and the destination to get exclusive chocolate gifts. The atmosphere is peaceful with nice ambient music and friendly staff.

The atmosphere is amazing, the chocolate is amazing, the people are amazing. I love how this little shop cares so much about where their ingredients and supplies come from.
In terms of the actual chocolate, it's delicious. We ordered the Mayan drinking chocolate and it was decadent. Not too spicy, not too sweet, it really let you focus on the quality of the chocolate.
I absolutely will be coming back.

A hidden gem! This chocolate shop is not what you would expect, nothing is sweet like standard American chocolate and the biggest thing is that they make the chocolate there right from the cocoa beans. They'll tell you all about it. The traditional Mayan drinking chocolate is a must have! It's pricey chocolate - as it should be
