Absolutely the best ice cream I've ever had and the price is amazingly inexpensive. I had coffee and Heavenly hash flavored ice cream in a waffle bowl, my husband had butter pecan and salted caramel in a waffle cone, both equally excellent!

Good Ice Cream Good Price. Both hard ice cream and soft serve offered. Servings are great, large selection of flavors, toppings, and cones. Friendly, smiling, fast, accurate service. Small, tight location in downtown Frankfort, KY, not for big groups- can eat in, but best for taking out. Clean establishment. Parking is challenging, accessible, but difficult unless you have a power chair.

The ice cream was amazing though the service was a bit chaotic. I would recommend the Cherry Cordial on a waffle cone! The cones do not have sleeves on them so I would suggest having a napkin ready to take the cone from the gloved workers. The servings were large and just scrumptious!

Good conventional flavors like rocky road, strawberry (which tasted like it was made with fresh strawberries!), And cherry cordial. They offer pup cups with a small scoop of vanilla, topped with whipped cream and a dog treat. Clyde loved it!

Great mom & pop ice cream shop in downtown Frankfort. Indoor and outside seating. Lots of options on the menu and 20 flavors of hand-dipped ice cream to choose from. Prices are reasonable. Waffle cones are the best I think I've ever had - nice and thick and I think there might be a hint of vanilla in the batter. This place is hopping and pretty much always has a line, but it's worth the wait. Staff is super nice and care about you as a customer.

Hoggy's was a perfect stop on a 90 degree humid day in Frankfort! The ice cream is smooth and delicious! This shop was just what Frankfort needed to spice up downtown a little bit! With it's bright positive colors, it stands out like a happily sore thumb! (which is a good thing!) And I'll definitely be returning, especially to stick it to the chain stores like baskin robins! And I love all of the creativity they put into the decor and menu items! This is actually a very unique ice cream store! And the staff were also very friendly!

We walked into the door and were immediately enraptured with the aroma of waffle cone cooking. This of course sealed the deal fresh waffle cones means you have to try the ice cream. The ice cream was smooth and creamy. The waffle cone was perfectly carmelized lending an added depth of flavor to the ice cream. A heavenly experience and a must try if you are in Frankfort to visit the capitol building and the historic downtown district.

Absolutely one of my favorite ice cream shops! I appreciate that my family can order double scoops in specials cones and not have to take out a loan! The list of amazing flavors would go on and on, but cherry cordial is my absolute favorite! Highly recommend!

This is probably the best ice cream I've ever had. The prices are super reasonable compared to some other shops, it's family owned and although it's usually packed, they work quickly to get you through the line. It's well worth the wait, and if you're a mint chocolate chip fan, theirs is the best!

An absolutely delicious icecream place to eat at! They have lots of delicious flavors and waffle cones made fresh in store every day. They have a fun challenge as well for the biggest icecream fans. The store has a great early America vibe to it and is a great spot to beat the summer heat! I will definitely stop the next time I come through.

Hoggy's is always a delight! The staff is friendly and they have many ice-cream choices, even some dairy-free options. It's family-friendly and such a cute atmosphere! Most treats are all under $5 and they have many different "sloppings" as add-ons. They make all their waffle cones and bowls from scratch daily and the whole place always smells like warmed vanilla. Give them a follow on Facebook to keep up with all their events and their hours. We definitely love some Hoggy's!

They had a line out the door and down the sidewalk, and I fully understand why! We tried the caramel pretzel kick, cookies 'n' cream, cookie dough, and wildcat blue soft-serve. Delicious all around! Loved the waffle cones, and the caramel pretzel kick was definitely my favorite. Also, the staff were very friendly, and went out of their way to thank us for being patient with the line. No trouble from us. 11/10 would come here weekly if I lived here. :)

Great ice cream great staff & service but some negative feedback to report. My wife loves banana splits! Recently, in the last week, one day there were no bananas (amazing!); next day there were bananas but no strawberry ice cream. Next day, yesterday, there was still no strawberry ice cream. However, staff said they didn’t know when strawberry would be back, that flavors rotated “in and out”. That seems remarkable, would think that chocolate vanilla & strawberry would be staple flavors & other flavors might rotate. So when might we be able to get a traditional banana split again?

Great ice cream and service. Affordable prices and the servings are very generous. We always like to support family businesses. The white chocolate raspberry is unreal. My wife loved the peanut butter chocolate chip and my son couldn't get enough of the paintball blast. Very nice family that owns and runs the shop.

They have the best waffle cones I've ever eaten and some fantastic ice cream to go with it. The waffle cone was so fresh that it was still slightly warm when I got it. I highly recommend, they have reasonable prices and absolutely amazing ice cream (and cones!!!)

I absolutely love this place. Bright, cheery interior. Pleasant staff, good service. And the best thing is the icecream is delicious and the portions a bit on the generous side. Lastly they have some unusual flavors. I love their cow icecream. Salted caramel base with caramel filled mini cows throughout. Yum!

Very mediocre ice cream and really outrageous prices. It's something like $3.50 for a single scoop in a cup! That's without ANY extras. We have been twice. The first time I figured maybe the toffee ice cream I got was just a fluke because of all the great reviews, then I tried the orange sherbet...same story. Very mediocre and not at all worth the price. It's a very cute place and great location...that's why I gave the VERY generous 3 star rating.

Tasty ice cream, reasonably priced, friendly service, just need a few more employees on a Saturday night, especially through the weeks of Cotillion. Fresh waffle cone definitely captures your attention at the door. I had 2 scoops - 1 of Butter pecan, 1 of Sea Salted Caramel, and son #2 had a Lg Cookies and cream milk shake with whipped cream and a cherry on top for $9.52, just to give an idea of price and flavors.

Love Hoggy's, the ice cream.is creamy and delicious. I happen to have a love of peanut butter, and there is usually always at least one variety that has peanut butter in it. But then, with the array of flavors, you cant go wrong.

My husband picked me up a regular scoop of their cherry cordial ice cream. It was delicious! The scoop size was very generous...I couldn't finish it and had to split it with my husband. Can't speak on the atmosphere as I didn't go in.

LOL It's really nice to have an ice cream place downtown, and the staff is amazing, they're really friendly and quick. We definitely recommend you stop by and try their variety of flavors. (I really like the coconut almond chocolate chip one, and My Husband likes the Superman one.)

This place has wonderful ice cream. This local ice cream shop has better ice cream than any other franchise I've personally been to. Not to mention that the interior design was flawless, they had an upstairs section that was beautifully made into the wall and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to hang with friends, spend family time, or even go on a date. Overall I will be visiting this place again in the near future.

Ice Cream was AMAZING, the flavors cought me and have me wanting more. I have an allergy and they were more than happy to ensure I was safe by using a different scoop and reading the ingredients on the cone mix. Their waffle cones are made in store and so delicious. Hoggy's always has excellent service, delicious ice cream and their prices are hard to beat. The location is convenient to walks downtown and the building has cute, fun decor. The only downside is the long line that stretches out the door most evenings, but that just proves how good they are.

Friendly, and helpful. The prices are not that bad for a mom and pop shop. It smelled like cotton candy, and it was clean. The server was great. He was hygienic he put on gloves right after washing his hands, and he refused to take my money until he Finnished making my treat! People who work in fast food, I'm talking about YOU!!!! You can learn a few things just by watching the employees at Hoggy's!

The line was long but they were giving out free ice cream soooo..... my son loved the peanut butter chip, other son loved the cookies and cream, and I had a butter finger sundae that was WAAAYYY too much!
