Most friendly staff and owners. The ice cream is truly the best we have ever had (and that's coming from someone whose family owned a very popular custard shop). Banana pudding ice cream here is out of this world. Also like the Grandma's spice tea. Love the atmosphere, the beautiful asthetic, the cheerful workers, and that ice cream!

Excellent ice cream and baked goods! Staff said everything was made in-house. Really sweet staff. Busy time of day, but they were great about keeping tables clean. I loved that they had not one, not two, but THREE dairy free options! I can't have dairy and I always feel like I miss out whenever my family wants to get ice cream, and so I was glad that I could enjoy something too! Would highly recommend stopping in if you are in town!

I have been waiting to write this review. My family stopped here on a road trip and I can’t express how clean the facility was and how nice the employees were. First you walk in and it is clean and bright. They make all their own ice cream there and it was all wonderful. They even have some adult flavors with bourbon too. Inside or out there is always someone cleaning something. Outside there are comfortable picnic tables for seating, after every guest leaves someone washers the outside tables too. And yes there is plenty of indoor seating.

Best ice cream I have ever had😍. My whole family says the same thing. Whenever we have family come in from MI we always take them here and they love it too. My favorites are the Blueberry Cheesecake and mixing the key lime pie and strawberry Oreo. My husband loves the bourbon ball😋❤️❣️. Thanks for making our souls happy with yummyness 🙌.

Okay!!!!! I absolutely love this place. I found it by just driving by it and wanting to know what it was because of how cute it looked from the outside. Then, I go in and they have all these wonderful home made desserts. I’m also from out of town and they gave me a piece of paper that has a bunch of recommendations for dining! I strongly suggest you go give them a try. They are super friendly and it it’s very homey.

Recently moved from Florida and happened across this precious little ice cream shop. I ordered the Coffee Oreo Milkshake, while my husband got a pint of Bourbon Ball ice cream, and we shared a Billionaire Bar. All 3 were a new flavor experiences for us and all 3 were marvelous!! This rating is per my wife (I don't have a sweet tooth) and she said her sundae with hot fudge, peanut butter, whipped cream and sprinkles (she has the sweet tooth) was fantastic and hit the spot. They are handling COVID awesomely... you telephone in your order (menu posted on their windows), and they bring it to your car or one of their outside tables. Can pay by card over phone, or with cash. The store looked very clean, modern, and inviting, but that was through the window as only employees are allowed in the store.

1st visit was yesterday, for a root beer float. The aroma when you walk in is absolutely yummy! 2nd visit today, for a traditional banana split. Perfect! Terrific size, ice cream of your choice if not traditional, pecans or peanuts or Both! Was caught by a soothing coffee aroma today and had a 'pour over Arnold's' which was fantastic! And I took home huge brownies for the family. I had to share something😋 great place, calm and friendly staff not trying to hurry you out. Relaxed atmosphere for your total enjoyment. Try it, they have yummy goodies!

What a fantastic place! On a roadtrip from California and we saw Dewster's on the way to dinner. We agreed to eat quickly so we could make it back in time, before they closed. LUCKY for us! Delicious!! And the service, 100%! Very,very clean and inviting. Detail in everything from desserts to decor. Glad we stopped!

Just got done eating there with my S/O and Mother, they both got banana splits varients which had spectacular presentation and taste! I myself got a Cookies & Cream sundae with hot fudge, caramel and whipped topping and cherries which was amazing but sadly I was too into it and ate it all before taking a picture 🤣 5/5 Wonderful staff and atmosphere all around

This place does not disappoint. So glad Dewster’s decided to open up a permanent location in Elizabethtown. The staff are extremely friendly. Everything, including the baked goods are reasonably priced.

If you haven't been here before, you need to. This place is trending so there are a lot of little groups that come, a lot of couples as well, but there is plenty of seating inside the lovely byilding itself as well as benches and picnic tables outside as well. Their Chocolate ice cream is the best I've ever had. I wish I had taken a picture to show how much they give in a regular (they fill that cup up), but I ended up eating it all in the car on the way home. It's that good. I'm sure I'll be back again and try their other flavors as well. I'd say I'll add those as well, but you really should go try it for yourselves. You won't regret it.

9 Stars.... should be allowed.... why not 10? BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ONE FRANCHISED TO MY HOME STATE! Dewster's icecream and bakery is a combination made for any occasion. First off, the staff is exceptional, friendly, and immediately helpful. As soon as you walk in the door, you're greeted and find yourself in a pleasant atmosphere. The baked goods are amazing... you have to try a few so bring friends and family you don't mind sharing plates with. Every baked good is made by the team at the bakery and paired with icecream makes for an epic treat. The icecream is homemade too. If you get a sunday or pair your favorite with a selection from the bakery...your choice of delights will be made with care just for you. By far one of the best places to visit in Kentucky. A must stop place to experience.

First time having ice cream here they have cones or cups about 30 flavors plus a section for bakery items. Upscale and clean. The ice cream Was good 👍 only complaint is granddaughter asked for sprinkles on her cone and they refused to so she asked to put some in a cup because they said they didn’t want the sprinkles falling onto the floor🤔 she’s 20 years old come on they refused to put them in the cup also !! My other granddaughter got them on her ice cream she had the cup she’s five . One of the days I guess.

First time there. 1. they give out samples according to the patrons ahead of us in line if you want to try something only they make. That was not the case that day, upset them enough they didn't try new and only bought one small thing. They also asked for a quart of a specialty, but they don't sell special that way.We all had the same size of cone charged for 2 scoops for some reason one of them was very small. I was first in line to pay for our Special adverture, my son tryed paying I told the woman at the register I was paying no matter what she asked him if I was his MAMA, Well I have this issue you birthed him he needs to pay. It was very very upsetting to that this Woman took a special moment with my grandkids., $50.00 for me its nothing to my son it is a lot more. Your there to work not give advise.

I've eaten a lot of homemade ice cream , but Dewster's is among the best I've ever had. I sampled pineapple, then I tried peach. Bot were full flavored rich and creamy. PERFECTION ! I THEN MOVED ON TO THE ULTIMATE OF ULTIMATES. " THE BANANA SPLIT " , the old fashion style . AGAIN, it was excellent, excellent. Excellent !!! In addition to the ice cream the staff were extremely friendly, and as you were looking at the display of all the different ice creams they were describing each flavor. Staff were very very helpful & professional. I would recommend Dewestet's to anyone who enjoys the comfort you get from ice cream - the best I've had in years. 9/27/23, still the absolute best icecream around 😋. I highly recommend this eating establishment.

This place has truly delicious ice creams. All ice creams are homemade. Banana splits are a meal by their self. You choose the 3 flavors you want and they so the rest. The Drunk Monkey flavor is awesome. They also have a pastry cabinet full to the rim with baked goods made fresh daily and ice cream can be added to them. The ice cream flavors change daily. Some are made with seasonal fruits. You will love this place if you get to See Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Clean and friendly environment. First time there got a banana split wasn't impressed with the ice cream flavor. My son got cookies and cream, cookies was way to large in the ice cream. All in all please visit and make your own judgment, they have many things to choose from. And the pies and cobblers looked and smelled pretty darn good.

We left happy and full of delicious homemade ice-cream! My 11 year old daughter and 12 year old niece said the strawberry and cookies and cream were "bussin', respectfully" (it's a compliment I promise). The bourbon ball was really yummy, and there were no complaints from my nieces and nephews. The scoops were generous and the waffle cone was the perfect vehicle for all that creamy goodness. This will definitely be a stop any time we are visiting Kentucky.

This place is a treasure in our community! Their ice cream is incredibly tasty. (My current fave is dirt cake!) They make their own chocolate chips and use local ingredients when possible (Arnold's coffee, Jim Beam bourbon, etc) The bakery items are divine. Aside from all that, these are the absolute nicest people you would ever hope to meet! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Great local bakery and ice cream shop whose owners are just fantastic people who truly care about their customers. Both the baked goods and ice cream are delicious. If you like exploring local restaurants and shops, this is a must stop if you're near the Fort Knox/E-town area. Sad we've moved from the area and will truly miss this shop.

Next came, not 1, but 2 employees who kindly offered help and were ready to take our order - with a smile! The price was great (we really benefitted from the 2 for Tuesday deal!) Not to be overlooked - the ice cream was just delicious 😋😋😋 and the portions generous! We didn't even have room for a homemade baked good, but they looked amazing...worth another visit!!!

I happened upon this gem on the way through town in a road trip. I am so glad I went a bit out of the way to try this ice cream! It is delicious, creamy, and high quality. The flavors I tried were wonderful. I also tasted a milkshake and it was great, too! It wasn't too thick and tasted just like the same ice cream flavor scoop. My family liked it so much we stopped back by on the way through town and waited the 30 minutes for it to open. This will be a standing tradition when we drive through Elizabethtown.

We both got 8oz. cups, service was friendly, and the ice cream was delicious. I had peach and strawberry; the strawberry was the best! My husband had vanilla and chocolate. I stole a bite of chocolate and it was excellent. I had the bourbon ball last time and loved it also. I'm from WA state doing a small rotation at Ft. Knox. I decide to Google best ice cream near me and found the place where heaven picks up their ice cream. I've traveled to most states and countries and haven't seen such unique flavor combinations mixed together with such precision. Staff was excited and helpful, truly interested in starting a friendly conversation. My only disappointment is that I can't order from them when I back home since I don't think I'll ever find better. Hope this business grows with amazing success so one day my freezer can always be stocked with this ice cream.

I absolutely love this ice cream ( best dairy free in town!) but the hours are the stupidest hours for an ice cream place to have. It’s summer, it’s not even dark and y’all are closed. It’s almost like you don’t want to sell any ice cream. Closing at 8pm or 9pm in the summer is not only foolish but very frustrating and sending your business to Kroger and Dairy Queen who has a line around the building.

A family-run homemade ice cream and baked goods shop. Dropped by for the first time and will be back often! Got cookies and cream ice cream with coconut milk (no dairy), chocolate, maple walnut, milk and cookie ice cream, then a brownie and mint pie. All were excellent!! My favorite was the coconut cookies and cream. My nieces mixed the mint pie with chocolate ice cream and loved it. I think their prices were very reasonable, especially since I'm used to paying more per pint for local ice cream in Lex. I really appreciated the friendly service from the father and daughter team that served us in our car. I was also impressed by how they are handling their business around safe COVID practices. I wish other local Etown businesses would do the same.

Just tried Dewsters for the first time with my wife, it will now be our go to spot for ice cream and deserts! I had a slice of butterscotch pie (a la’ mode of course!) and my wife had a homemade brownie sundae. Both were phenomenal! The pie was delicious and the banana ice cream my wife had was amazing and hard to find in Etown! The staff was very friendly and quick even though it was busy. The lemonade was squeezed right in front of us and was great as well! Pricing is good as well, about the same cost as Baskin Robbins but much better! Go check them out, they rock!

Took a chance and tried this place out. Freaking amazing! Cant hardly put it into words. Chocolate bourbon ice cream! To Die for! The service was great. My son dropped his icecream on their floor and they replaced it and upgraded him to a larger size free. They also have cookies and brownies and if your into KETO they have a brownie or cookie (I forget which) option just for you! How cool is that!

Stumbled upon this gem while visiting Kentucky for a quick weekend trip. From the moment my sister, niece and I entered Dewster's we were treated with excellent friendly service. Lauren greeted us with a beautiful smile and warmed our hearts by telling us the background of the family business while we sampled the delicious flavors of homemade icecream. I finally decided on the flight of bourbon ball, cookies & cream and peanut m&m in a waffle cone topped with hot fudge and caramel. Oh my goodness!! My icecream was SO yummy! The service and the ambiance was amazing. Additionally, Mr. Dewey with his vibrant and charismatic personality was so hospitable. His wife was so kind and recommended some local spots for us to check out while visiting Kentucky. If ever in E-Town, you must visit Dewster's.
