Nice ice cream place with an array of flavors. The flavors here are a stray from your typical flavors. So if you're looking for your regular vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate then this isn't the place for you. Like other ice cream places, they give you taste test before you commit to a cup. One thing I liked is that they don't give you a single-use plastic spoon for taste test, instead it's a metal spoon you put in a tin cup once you're done with it. Reduces the need to unnecessary waste. The ice cream flavors are unique and definitely worth a try.

Service was impeccable. Tons of interesting flavors but we were recommended the Nanaimo Bar. The little coconut almond clusters were amazing but the base ice cream was bland. More ice than cream. This place is BEYOND hyped so maybe my expectations were too high. I'd like to experiment with the other flavors though. They had so many unique options! There wasn't a whole lot of outdoor seating but not sure I can put that on Wanderlust. Good ice cream but far from the best I've had.

Excellent flavors, super fun names. Definitely recommend the sticky rice and mango (a signature). Upon entering, I ordered at the kiosk & got a text confirming order ($1 tip is chosen automatically before ANY interaction with staff). My friend wanted some samples before ordering. I then followed my friend and got in line as I really enjoyed the list of unique flavors on the menu and was excited to try some samples too, especially after seeing folks in front of us trying a whole bunch of samples. As my friend and I walked up to the counter and started sampling, we were sternly told there's a limit of trying 3 samples only (which is fine as a policy but wasn't the case for the family and a few others in front of us). I could be wrong but felt a bit discriminated against, wished there was a sign stating this policy so that I could manage my expectations accordingly instead of embarrassing myself asking for a fourth sample like that. Because I was feeling uncomfortable, I quickly wanted to get out of there so while my friend stammered his order I showed the staff the order confirmation text. He looked very surprised and told me the order will be out soon. My friend got his order before me, even though I had ordered through the kiosk 10 minutes prior. Took a picture of my $7.50 purchase (attached) for memory. Got out of there as quickly as I could, walked off the embarrassment and enjoyed the ice cream. Excellent flavors. Never coming back to this location. Definitely visiting the other locations for the Vietnamese Rocky Road.

I ordered the Sapin Sapin, which is a seasonal flavor, which includes Ube, sticky rice, and jackfruit ice cream. I’m glad that I tried it because it was a special for Filipino American history month, but I don’t need to get it again loll, love this place and their rotating menu.

This is my FAVORITE ice cream place in LA. In a city chock-full of fancy ice cream shops trying to out-invent each other with goofy flavors, Wanderlust actually hits the mark. Instead of concocting new combinations of ingredients, Wanderlust creates ices creams inspired by beloved desserts from around the world. There are some great standard flavors, but the real stars are the rotating varieties. I just ate a tasting trio (three small scoops in a cup) with flavors from Italy, Mexico and Denmark. Each flavor description explains the inspiration and country of origin. Check the flavors online, because they change often. There are more monthly specials than you could fit into one visit. The folks who work here are super nice, and there is hardly ever a crowd. Easy parking too. Can’t recommend Wanderlust Creamery enough!

Absolutely incredible dessert! If you're up for new flavors, super different than the classics, and appreciate other cultures, this is a MUST. Mango sticky rice is AHHMAZING. The owner and mixologist is the granddaughter of Magnolia ice cream mixologist. The OG Filipino ice cream Magnolia brand. So legit.

It's just OK. Not sure how an $8 ice cream is hyped so much. Didn't have the "wow" factor and the staff were not too welcoming to be fair either. Stick with gelato, elsewhere.

Wanderlust is one of my favorite places to get ice cream! They have a few seasonal flavors that gets introduced every so often so there is always new flavors to try. All of their flavors are so unique but tasty. My go to flavors are the Japanese Neapolitan and Kinder. Depending in how much I want I get the split (5.50) or the double (7.50). I feel that the double is quite a lot though, but perfect for sharing. Their cones are an extra $1, but freshly made and there are cool flavors too.

I was quite disappointed that the purple yam waffle cones were very hard to bite on and ice cream not creamy enough. But that's be a plus for many who doesn't like the creamy feel. I love the creative flavors though. We total ordered 7 different flavors. Some were really mind blowing like how they made the ice cream tastes just like Stocky rice & mango?! It's melt in your mouse sticky rice The earl grey tasted just like how the British loves them, with lemon. Full earl grey flavor with just a hint of lemon, no milk in the taste. Superb! The vegetable waffle cone was tasty and crispy, unfortunately the ume cone was really hard. I recommend this if you like trying outside the box flavors.

I was really impressed with the flavors they had here. While the name and the concept based on travel is a bit too cutesy for me, they really pack their ice cream with flavor. The texture was smooth and rich and nothing was too sweet.

Service is always on point and the ice cream never disappoints. This is definitely our go to ice cream place and probably will remain that way even if we ever move out of the area. I love the monthly flavors that are always changing. It gives the place a bit more of an exclusive feel if you only go for those since you only have a limited amount of time to get them. Great spot.

This is the only place I ever want to go for ice cream. The most unique flavors that awake your sense of curiosity about food culture and how it has evolved based on geographical locations. Absolutely phenomenal. They make big batches of each flavor and once it runs out, that’s it! It’s gone, and they introduce a new one. Wish I’d kept track of my favorite flavor combinations through out the years as there have been some absolutely stellar one! My only wish is that their toppings weren’t always stale (the Michu is always clumped together and dry) and that they try to avoid hiring people that lack basic social niceties. Had a cashier once be a bit pushy/commanding (also kept cleaning everything around the register while I was trying to process payment and enter my 5star information) and it definitely put a damper on my experience. Either way, their ice cream is the best in LA and I drag all of my friends here at least once a month to see what unique tastes they wish to share this time around!

wanderlust is definitely my favorite ice cream shop in los angeles!! i've been to the tarzana location, and i have to say this one has more parking and seating. i got the jasmine green tea flavor (special for lunar new year). they have so many unique and fun flavors... as well as pints you can take home. my other go to flavors would be the gianduja (chocolate hazelnut) and thai tea. would come back again! there is a lot in the back with free parking and metered parking on the main street.

Superb ice cream. Ethnic and Bourgie flavor profiles like Smoky Road and Purple Yam and Rose flavors. I enjoyed a whiskey inspired Carmel flavor and a twist on pralines and cream. Unique toppings like dried cereal marshmallows and crushed macaroons.

You can never go wrong with Wanderlust. It is still hands down one of the best places to grab ice cream in Los Angeles (and probably the west coast)! Not only do they have great "regular" flavors on their menu like Ube Malted Crunch and Sticky Rice + Mango but they also have great new/different seasonal flavors that they rotate every month! Some of my all time favorites consists of their original Salted Egg ice cream and their Rugbrød! My taste buds will continue to salivate until I get to stop by their Atwater location again 🤤😍

Solid ice cream spot. Each flavor is inspired by a country (and accurately so), and the flavors are true to their inspiration. Ube malted crunch is one of the best tasting ubes I've had in a long time! You get unlimited samples, and you can get a double and try four flavors. Parking available in the back!

They're in my old neighborhood, Atwater, bringing some nice nightlife to the area. It's needed. Good tasting ice cream. A lot of flavors. I've had their ice cream in the SFV before. The workers were all friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't mind us trying a lot of flavors. Overall a great experience, but it would've been nice if the line could've moved slightly faster... good things come to those who wait! The Abuelita Malted Crunch was excellent. And the Sakura Latte tasted like a subtle 🍒.

This place is so cute, I go out of my way to come here. My friend and I recently got the Flight Around the World and it was really fun. You get 14 half-scoops in these cute little cones for $30. Initially I thought we would choose our 14 flavors but essentially what the server told us was to pick 6 out of the 20 flavors they had that day that we *didn't* want and the rest is the flavors that we ate. However I'm sure if you wanted to you could specifically name out the 14 flavors you want. It was very fun trying so many different flavors of icecream, however I would recommend trying this with 3 or 4 people instead of 2. The icecream was melting faster than we could eat it and it ended up being a lot of food. It was also hard to tell which flavors were which, but they all tasted great. Ultimately I would definitely recommend trying this with your friends!

There are a lot of interesting flavors here! I think the best deal is to order a trio so you can sample more than one flavor. It's a little pricey but considering it's a specialty creamery I figured it was worth it. My favorites were sticky rice and mango, earl grey, and ube malt.

The flavor combinations at Wanderlust Creamery are out of this world! I had a tasting trio at the LA Food Bowl NIGHT MARKET event and it was fantastic, definatley the longest dessert line there. The ice cream was perfect and the Sakura flavor was to die for, I felt like I was standing in a field of cherry blossoms when I stuffed my face. I would highly recommend!

This place is the only ice cream place that I have been to that serves international flavors. Tasting is unlimited. Most of their ice cream are flowery in taste. 2 pints for $19. Scoop are almost $5. I haven't ordered on a cone but I believe it is an extra charge.

Wanderlust is a great place to go when you're wanting to try new flavors and experiences. I personally love being able to try familiar flavors from my childhood when regional flavors come into rotation. Try the elderflower and ube flavors, both are incredible.

Best artisanal ice cream! I've tried many ice cream shops and the advantage they have are traditional flavors. But Wanderlust takes quality to the best level and it executes it's goal with great success, which is to transport you to another country through flavors. Always fun coming in and going for a trip. We drive over an hour sometimes to eat here.

The best ice cream, hands down. Imaginative and unique flavors with high quality ingredients. Perfectly creamy and velvety. Plus, nobody ever thinks about the ice cream cone, which makes NO SENSE because it's a huge part of the experience. Wanderlust, however, gets it. The brown butter ice cream cone is absurdly delicious; it would be amazing all by itself with a cup of hot coffee.

Very fun spot! They have Game of Thrones themed flavors right now - I love it! There were about 15ish available flavors, 4 of which were non-dairy. I tried all the non-dairy ones and the sticky rice & mango flavor is definitely the best, who would've thought. The others were more sorbet-like and I was feeling a more creamy flavor. They have vegan cones, vegan sprinkles, and vegan caramel - definitely not an after-thought here :) (and non-vegan options as well, of course). It's not too cheap -$5/scoop - but worth it as an occasional treat. The layout of the store is a bit awkward when a long line forms - instead of snaking people to the back near the counter, the line sort of goes through the middle of the store. Inside & outside seating, street parking available. Will certainly return to try future flavors!

I miss being able to have samples because they have some unique exciting flavors. They change regularly, and I cannot eat 6 scoops of ice cream at time! Lol! I love Wanderlust and have had pints delivered to my house during the pandemic, but it was so nice to go into the store and find the same excellent friendly service from the staff that I'd get in the before times 😀 And the ice cream is so delicious!!

Love love love their ice cream... very different, not your traditional ice cream parlor... there is an array of flavors to perk up your tastebuds!... Some flavors are seasonal so if you like it... have it! A wonderful thing about this place they allow you to sample all their flavors... so good luck in choosing one because you might just like all of them! Although they do have on their menu a tour of flavors where you can have a scoop of each at a pretty good price... great to share with friends!

Not only are the flavors interesting, but they hold very true to their description. Sometimes places will have amazing sounding concoctions that leave you going, "yeah I guess I can taste that," but Wanderlust sticks it on each flavor. Only complaint is the name, which really just makes me think that a 20 year old self identified social media influencer came up with the place after spending 2 weeks living in Bali.

A truly wonderful ice cream experience. They have such a delightful array of flavors from so many different regions of the world to choose from. It was very hard to choose because I wanted to try them all. Between my husband, our two kids and myself, we ordered the ube malted crunch, knafe, pandan tres leches, kinder and earl grey. Not a dud in the bunch. I would be very happy to eat them all again. But the one I cant stop thinking about is the Earl Grey. It surprised me. Desserts rarely surprise me. It was bold, yet delicate. Floral, bright, deep and dreamy. Perfectly balanced, perfectly churned, pretty much, over all, a perfect scoop of ice cream. It is a rare treat to eat something made by someone who really knows what they are doing. I love that Wanderlust stands by the idea that people are intelligent and curious and that trying new flavors is an adventure. If I lived closer, this place would become a serious problem for me.

A combination of things I love most: travel and ice cream! The flavors at this place are insanely good no matter how weird they might sound. This place beats out all the other fancy ice cream places for me because it has a fun theme of culture and travel. Every flavor is subtle and complex, no simple chocolate and vanilla here. The staff is also really nice and will patiently let you try every flavor.

Workers are welcoming. 12 signature flavors that are there year long and about 6 seasonal flavors that switch out every month or so. They're all made in house so pretty fresh and creative flavors. Wide range as they're inspired by travels so you'll likely find something to suit your tastes. You can taste as much as you like just like other ice cream places. Overall it's an artisanal ice cream place so it's pretty pricey. About $5 for a scoop and $11 for a pint. They have an option for split scoops so you can have 2 smaller scoops of different flavors to make up 1 full scoop. Cones are $1 and they have some cool flavors like ube. Toppings are also extra of course. Small little place with some chairs and tables for you to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Can get pretty crowded, even when it's super cold out. Never too cold for ice cream! Parking lot in the back for the plaza it's in. Complimentary water station available near register and freezer where they keep the pints.

Food (4 stars): Went here for dessert. The Black & Tan Sundae was as good as advertised. The vanilla/almond ice cream made the dessert in my opinion although the fudge and caramel were pretty good too. The size is good to share between two.

Excellent selection of flavors inspired by countries and cultures from around the globe. The menu changes constantly so if you visit occasionally you will find new favorites and experience new tastes from different continents. Some flavors are perpetual, I guess they have been requested the most. They have the 'split' which is a combination of two different flavors, smaller than the regular scoop, which is a good idea to have if you are counting the calories. Ask for the ube cone, a better selection than the regular vanilla cone, in my humble opinion.

Unique selection of ice creams inspired by places around the world. The colors are apparently all natural, which is insane considering how vibrant they are. They have many flavors you can't find anywhere else. I recommend if you are looking for a unique ice cream experience!

Excellent service! I was here for "the white" which is their version of the Chinese white rabbit candy turned ice cream. I tired a few flavors but wasn't to my liking, too creative/exotic. The white was very good though lacking the sweet milky taste. Good place to stop by if you're into creative ice creams.

I've been following Wanderlust for a minute and finally made it over to them. The ice cream was absolutely incredible. I got the mango sticky rice and Violet marshmallow which were both amazing. Bought pints of both of they're rocky roads variations. When I got home had to sneak a taste and the Vietnamese Rocky Road may have changed my life. I have always opted for other flavors over coffee icecream, but this version is revolutionary! Go to wanderlust and treat yourself. Don't forget to tip your scoopers!

This is by far one of my favorite ice cream places! They definently have the most unique flavors that you don't encounter. Each flavor is pretty unique yet familiar! The tour is defienntly worth it if you're able to eat that much ice cream in order to try all the flavors. Wait time can get a bit long and seating is limited but totally worth it.

I am not vegan, but the mango sticky rice flavor is phenomenal whether you care if it's vegan or not. I love their other flavors too(so unique!), but that's my go to, and a great thing to bring to a dinner party if you're not sure of everyone's dietary preferences.

My father has long prided himself in his ice cream expertise, which means growing up he exposed me to quite the variety of ice cream. I must say while sampling the various flavors at wanderlust I was blown away. Not only have they managed to recreate natural flavors into ice cream, but they did it without compromising on quality. The ice cream is incredibly creamy and the price is excellent ($4.50 for a single, $7 for a double.). I must admit I'm currently reconsidering whether Dewar's in Bakersfield is really my favorite ice cream parlor now!

I have been at this location several times since I've moved to LA and enjoyed every visit. Nice variety of flavors with about 6-7 that rotate out every month. There's a set of 10 or so that always stay. Surrounding neighborhood is nice as well so you can take a stroll with your cone. Earl grey flavor is fantastic.

great Ice cream. they had vegan options, which was nice. my biggest issue was that most of the flavors were flower, spice, or fruit based. it really needs more chocolate and sweet tastes like caramel. there was only one type of ice cream that was chocolate based the day I was there.

There is plentiful seating inside or out. The staff are friendly, samples are given but when busy samples are limited. The flavors are unique so you won't find any plain vanilla/chocolate here. Also, believe they offer vegan items too.

Smells so fresh and yummy inside (baking their own cones), and can taste very unique flavors (metal spoons). I got ‘The White’ and ‘Toast and Kaya jam’. I had not had ice cream in awhile (typically opting for frozen yogurt instead), and it was so creamy, fresh, and refreshing; I couldn’t finish it all. 2 scoops = $5.50; 1 scoop= $5

It is a purple sweet potato based flavor and is delicious! The service is kind and the location is easily accessible. Want to come back for a flight of ice cream some day! I’m from out of town and wanted an ube flavored ice cream after eating tacos. This was the closest place so my family decided to go there. Their flavors are so fresh and homemade that I would go here again when I visit LA. The ube ice cream was perfection and not too sweet which I liked. My sister got the earl grey and coconut which she enjoyed. The earl grey was strong but she didn’t mind the taste so heads up in trying it first before you get it!

Whoaaaaaaaaa! My gf and I stumbled in here randomly and it has become our new favorite spot in LA. Better than Salt and Straw, better than any froyo spot and obviously any chain/ drug store flavors. This place has travel inspired ice cream which range from Chinese white chocolate, various teas and a KINDER ice cream which is absolutely heavenly. Even if it wasn't travel inspired, it's just plain good. Legit the best ice cream I've had in LA. Go. They also have a flight for $30 where you can taste several in multiple cones. $5 for one scoop, 5.5 for a half and half scoop and 7.5 for two scoops. Worth it.

I've been to the original one in Tarzana so I was really excited to try it here. The ice cream flavors are creative and they have a few different ones from the ones in Tarzana. The workers are really friendly and you can try the flavors before you select what you want. There are a few vegan ice creams here. There is a small wait but that's due to people trying out the many flavors. Otherwise, it's a great place to get unique ice creams and I'm thrilled that they opened a branch in Atwater Village.

I was raised—so to speak, anyway—on the gourmet small-batch ice creams of Portland. Salt & Straw was cut from that cloth; or, depending upon who you ask, led that charge in its expansion out from the PNW across the West Coast. Now ice cream parlors like it exist pretty much everywhere in American cities. What makes Wanderlust different? In a certain sense, nothing. It’s got the same business model; the same basic design aesthetic, in terms of hip, urban minimalism and branding. It’s a style people recognize (and like). I like it. It’s familiar. But I do think Wanderlust is different, in spite of the ubiquitous look and model. First, its flavors pull from the taste of everywhere: this is not only your average sampling of baked-potato flavor or bacon/thyme. Second, its owner, Adrienne, is a cool and brave POC woman with an unexpected family history in ice cream (that’s evident in her flavor creations). Third, Wanderlust is a true listener: collaboration seems to be the key to new flavors here, with come from fans or friends or travel. They really seem to value their customers. But as a regular dude who just wants some fantastic ice cream occasionally, I really just look for an overall feeling of yum when I go. Wanderlust always delivers this. With great taste, and excellent friendly service to boot. Go here.

We loved it so much we tried to go back the next day but, they were closed for July 4th. :( Seriously, soooooooo good. Really sad that it is kind of far, lines are ridiculously long.
