Five stars. 10/10 High recommended The staff is amazing and always very friendly. Every time we go we always have a great experience and fast service. One of the first times we went to Shakes, my daughter (7 years old) couldn’t decide if she wanted custard or shaved ice. We were at the window and one of the staff members said well I’ll just make you something special. She asked my daughter what all she liked and made her a combination of her custard order and shaved ice order. My daughter thought that was the coolest thing ever and she really liked it. So now we make special trips all the way from Conway just to get her special ice cream. :)

I stopped by today, just wanted a cone. Nothing fancy. The staff here are friendly and just plain nice. When I got my 2 scoop, I had NO idea how big the portions were 🤦‍♀️😳☺️! Very filling and delicious. I haven't had a cone like that since my childhood! Most places serve soft serve or yogurt. This was a just like going to an old fashioned ice cream shop in my neighborhood growing up! Thanks Shakes! 👍

Love going to Shake's as a special treat, especially the oatmeal cookie dough concrete. Recently my favorite mix-in has changed, taste and texture of more raw oats than cookie dough. Extremely disappointing when you think you're getting a treat and receiving something more akin to a granola bar. The custard is still silky smooth, will try a different mix-in next time.

I love this place! They are always busy, but they are so polite and hustle to get you your order. I always bring my out of town friends here and they love it. Recently had some tennis buddies come to town and they had heard about it and never tried it- they were very pleased.

I'm giving them five stars because of the extreme amount of traffic and Rush that they overcome every single time I'm up there! I would be stressed to the max with the constant flow of cars, like a parade but they tend to be very nice and nine times out of 10 the order is going to be perfect! There's one girl that works there that is one of the hardest workers I've seen in a long time and I respect hard work! She runs out to the car gets your order and brings it back and I had mine ate before we even got to the window, she's awesome I wish I knew her name!

I love everything about Shake's. In LR, I've heard this place pronounced 'shakes', but in Fayetteville we called it 'shakey's'. Just understand that it is the same wonderful spot. I also enjoy the fact that there is an obvious difference when you purchase extra pecans. My fav is the mini bopper with extra pecans. My husband (who likes bananas) loves the pink poodle.

My family and I have been coming here for over 15 years. It is a staple to my childhood and a tradition I hope to pass on to my future children. STORY TIME: I called my sister the other day, out of the blue, to ask her if she wanted me to get some Shake’s with me...NO LIE... she was in the car line. Tell me twin telepathy isn’t a thing?! So of course she brought me a vanilla concrete with double recess. Family tradition. My dying meal. Best dessert in Arkansas. Best dessert in America. Best dessert on the planet. Hands down best custard I've had my whole life. Nothing like that soft serve you can get at fast food joints. Also delicious shakes with any topping you can think of. So you get to have fun with it.

OMG! If you're looking for some fresh, cold, topped ice cream, you're out of luck. This place has extraordinary, fantastic, tasty custard that last a lot longer, is probably four times as dense as ice cream, and they can add pretty much any toppings you like at all. We ate there last week and got great value for our food, it was SO delicious, and the cost was a little bit more, but it was worth it. This place is a really special treat to get on various occasions. It's good all year round, don't get me wrong, but if you're looking for a real treat, this is the place to go!

Shake's is one of the best frozen Custard spots around! If you've never tried it you are missing out. I love the service and everything is made fresh. I've never been disappointed with Shake's and I've been a regular for years. Two of my favourite items include the Blue Berry Hill and a Banana Malt. If you love a good old fashioned thick frozen quality custard you cant go wrong with Shake's. There is so much to choose from so you can really let your imagination run wild. The ice cream sundae selections are really yummy and they really have something for everyone.

This is by far the best frozen custard in the whole world. The people are extremely friendly. Everyone should try a concrete before they die! The concrete is the best thing on the menu… which is very extensive. When it comes to ice cream, shaved ice, floats, sundaes and anything refreshing this is the place to go. They have every topping and ice cream ingredient you can think of and they mix it any way you want it!

I got the big bopper, and my son got the dream lover. Mine had hot fudge and caramel while his had hot fudge and marshmallow cream. Both had the same Frozen Custard and the roasted pecans. And they were both fantastic. We got the large size and that was a little under five bucks each. Service was quick. A wonderful experience.

Enjoy coming here but they did increased the pricing awhile back and reduced the amount of toppings like pecans, bananas, and chocolate sauce. The amount served isn't consistent from visit to visit. Overall, items aren't as good as they used to be but still ok. I don't expect you to bring back the pricing but please try to either increase amount of toppings EX: (if I pay for an added topping of banana, I expect more than 3 tiny slices for the price I'm paying) and please be consistent.

This place use to have a lot of selection and really impress me. The physical shape of the place isnlooking rough and the customer service was a little lack luster. The custard is still good, but they better up their game if they want to compete with other dessert shops around town.

My first time here, the door by the drive up is filthy and so is the counter at the order window. Makes you wonder how clean is the inside, etc. To be fair, the custard is great, but there is another custard place just a block away that also sells food and it very clean inside and out.

Got the cookie dough frozen custard and it was good! It was really creamy and delicious. If we go back I'll probably get a small next time - the regular was almost too much for me. Thought it was a bit weird to have two drive-throughs (one on each side). We used the one on the left and so my husband had to pay for me. I'm giving three stars because the custard wasn't well mixed and I thought it was a bit pricy for the product (a bit more than $10 for two regular custards).

I completely understand how life cam get especially during the time we currently live.. with that being said thank you Shake's for making life a little easier one spoon at a time!!!! If you haven't tried them try this *Wedding cake concrete with brownie(with caramel instead of the hot fudge) or tweak to your taste!!! 👍👍👍

My mother heard that they sell a spiced apple pie custard so of course we had to go to give it a try. And lo and behold, it was delicious. How they put actual pieces of the pie crust in it along with the rest of an actual apple pie, practically sinful. It will be a place to go again. And maybe I will try the food next time.

We tried shakes for the first time yesterday and oh my goodness!!! The frozen custard is so smooth I cant imagine ever going back to regular ice cream again. They have 2 drive thru lanes so you can get your treats faster! We just happened to go on the busiest day of the year. They were having a buy one get one free deal on their concretes. We didnt even get concretes because we failed to look at the giant sign advertising the special upon pulling in. There we're so many cars, yet they were super fast and efficient. We ordered the bopper and the dream lover and they made new customers for life! Also they are very reasonably priced. Our treats were bigger than we expected and it was $11 and some change all together. The quality made these treats sooo worth the money. I can't wait to try more items on their menu!

Love love the custard! The outside picnic area is always so cute, flowers, shade trees, plenty of seating! Come on down and relax and have some ice cream with any toppings you want or just plain vanilla or chocolate, smooth and rich YUM YUM

The appearance (atmosphere) doesn't seem like much at all. When you arrive it looks closed down or out of business. But it's not and the ice cream wasn't bad for my first visit. Personally I just like firm ice cream, theirs was soft, but nice flavor.

Shake's is a gem. If it's too crowded for you, try parking and walking up. In can take some creativity but it's much, much faster. Same great custard though.

Ok for all you ice cream lover's. My husband and I go to Shake's at least once a week if not 2. (Lol) this place has never failed us. I love there Big Bopper and Root Beer Floats. There Concrete's are amazing to. You must try and make sure you ask them to add whipped cream. I hope you love this place as much as I do and I am a extremely picky eater and they have won me over for life.

So good! We've been going to Shake's for years and years (back when it was "Shakey's"). Always good. The Concrete is our favorite item. It's always FULL of the topping you choose, unlike some of the other places that sprinkle a little of the candy/topping on the surface but leave most of the middle without it. You can't go wrong here!

Wow. Frozen custard. Please don't let this jewel close its doors. The deserts are amazing. Try the Dream Lovers Sundae. Oh it's so good. There are only a hand full of these gems left in Arkansas. This location is nice. You can walk up or drive through. It has two lines. You can eat on the outdoor benches and just pull your vehicle into a bag along the sides to enjoy your treat.

the ice cream was excellent the lady at the window was absolutely kind and patient with us. it was our first time there as we aren't from little rock so we got a little lost getting home and my float melted but it was still excellent.

Frozen yogurt was delicious. But the owner should take some of their money and put it back into the business. The exterior is dated and dull and boring. Some paint and some landscaping van really improve the store. Plua its in a more wealthy area....should fit in bettwr.

I didn't even know this place existed until a friend told me. Unfortunately this has to do with it's location, hidden away from the busy streets of Bowman and Chenal. And it looks like it hasn't been updated since it first opened but it's actually pretty good. They have frozen custard here so I went with the Oreo concrete. I've had Freddy's and I think this place is better only because Freddy's tastes a little too custardy to me (if that makes sense). Like Dairy Queen when I got to the bottom of my shake there were no more Oreo pieces and just frozen custard so that stinks. If we can put a man on the moon surely we can evenly distribute toppings throughout shakes. Get on it NASA.
