Cute little ice cream place located on the Monon Trail. They offer a great selection of ice cream flavors as well as vegan options. You'll also find sundaes as well as sweet drinks like floats and shakes. The two flavors I got (Chocolate Malt Supreme and French Silk) were fantastic! Can't wait to come back here again soon!

I have found my new favorite ice-cream place! Simply AMAZING! Plenty great vegan flavors which are so hard to find. Friendly staff and good seating area outside. Great place to bring your family and friends! I got cherry and chocolate flavor, I personally didn't like cherry flavor, it was very thick whereas chocolate was HEAVEN!

We had a good time at Brics! They get pretty busy on weekends but the line moves fast. I didn’t love that my mint chocolate chip shake was filled with sprinkles rather than chocolate chips or chocolate chunks. If I’d know it was sprinkles I’d have gotten something else. Oh well!! Still yummy! All of my friends enjoyed their ice creams and we had a great time!

Love their malted shakes! I highly recommend a coffee shake where you make it malted! I have never had a bad ice cream flavor here! It's a great local shop that has decided to become carbon neutral!

Had never been here and I literally didn’t even want ice cream. I was just passing by and wanted to look at the menu. I was caught off guard by all the flavors, AND a wide array of non-dairy ice creams. In my moment of weakness, the lad behind the window slides it open and says “you can try as many flavors as you want if you come inside.” And that was it. Next thing I knew, I was walking out with two scoops in a waffle cone, beaming like a 5 year old kid. BRICS has the best non-dairy ice cream I have ever had. I tasted four different kinds. They taste a lot like gelato, but not as dense. I’m not vegan. I like my dairy and have always been skeptical when it comes to non-dairy alternatives but honestly, I would’ve never guessed their vegan ice cream was non-dairy. It was so good. What a gem of an ice cream parlor.

Love this spot! Since it’s right off the Monon it’s easy to hop off your bike or walk up with your dog to the order window. The inside is nice and has cute decor everywhere. Ice cream was amazing! They have an entire vegan selection as well.

Would love to see more seasonal flavors! I recommend going with a briclet nomatter choosing a cone or cup - the serving size is very generous. Every flavor we've tried (more than we'd like to admit) is absolutely delicious

BRICS (Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station) is located right off the Monon Trail in Broad Ripple...as the name suggests. It's busy, even during non-peak hours...they go by a ticketed numbering system for service, which is smart. Friendly staff that serves up creamy, delicious, and generous portions of ice cream. Judging by the label I saw on the side of an ice cream box, I believe the ice cream comes from United Dairy Farmers (UDF) based out of Cincinnati. I ordered the Tour de Brics...a sample of four different ice creams of your choice. I thought this would be smaller than what I turned out to be...they served up two scoops per flavor! All of that for only $7...it could have comfortably served three people. The chocolate was, well, chocolate. The Locomocha Chunk was coffee ice cream with chocolate chunk...the coffee taste was a bit odd to me, more reminiscent of soy sauce to be honest. The cookies and cream was as it should be. The peach ice cream tasted like real peach (not artificial) and had huge chunks of peaches. Great spot to bring the family to if you're in the area. One of the better spots for ice cream I've found in the Indy area.

I have been going to BRICS since it opened in 2010. Great ice cream and super convenient Monon location. It is really busy on those nice hot days so be prepared to wait.

Excellent little ice cream shop located off of the Monon Trail. Ice cream clearly has a very low over-run, resulting in a dense, almost gummy product that has a far superior mouthfeel. Large variety of flavors available, from the familiar to the somewhat exotic. Friendly, helpful service that is generous with the recommendations and the samples.

Cute little place with great ice cream and a wide selection to choose from. You can taste a sample before deciding what flavor you'd like. They seemed to play classical music in the background, which is a nice change of pace.

They give huge servings. Their milkshakes are super thick. Love the almond coconut fudge ice cream. Not a huge fan of the strawberry; couldn't taste any strawberry really. Chocolate Oreo shake was beyond chocolatey, almost too much.

First time coming here. I like that you get 3 scoops with a regular which is $4 and change. Servers were attentive and helpful. Got the cake batter (which I was told is most popular flavor), butter pecan and Choo Choo chocolate. Each of those flavors were good. I sampled the pistachio and another flavor (forget the name) with peanut butter but was underwhelmed with both of their flavors. BRICS flavors are on the more subtle side. Overall, I'm glad we tried this place and might come back, but was not wowed by the ice cream flavors. Too subtle for my taste.

I wasn’t super impressed with Brics’s ice cream. The texture was great, but the flavors tasted fake and sharp. Even the vanilla just wasn’t that great. Definitely not bad, but certainly not note worthy. My husband and child both liked the ice cream, but noted that it wasn’t much better than average priced, main stream brand, store bought ice cream. I would also make much larger signs for flavor and sizing choices. When you’ve been standing in a line for fifteen minutes and then have 30 seconds to pick 2+ flavors and sizes from 20 different options for three different people, especially when you’ve never been there before, and there is a big line behind you, is especially stress inducing. 😅 The outside atmosphere was friendly and inviting. It’s also fun that it’s literally right next to the mom on trail so you can people watch as everyone and their dog rides their bikes, jogs, walks, etc.

Really good ice cream! Lots of flavor options and can add toppings too. Have a full side area of vegan ice cream. Close to the trail so can grab a cone or cup and take a stroll. On the more expensive end as far as ice cream goes, but probably to be expected for the area/small business aspect.

My husband and I worked with BRICS to provide their catering services at our wedding reception on 08.14.21. Our original date had to be pushed back due to COVID and the team at BRICS was extremely accommodating and helpful. On the day of they were on time and provide friendly service to our guests. We heard nothing but extremely positive feedback from guests. Weeks later, we are still hearing how awesome the ice cream station at our reception was. We highly recommend!!

WAY more affordable than I expected for this area, that was a nice surprise. The place was really crowded, but we made it through quickly enough. The staff is super helpful with recommendations and helping new customers get their bearings. They do have dairy free and gluten free flavors, but the selections that tick both those options were more limited than I'd hoped. I think they might benefit from exploring more flavors that fit both dietary restrictions. Still, the vegan raspberry was delicious!

While eating outside my friends and I were offered iced water! Just what I love with my ice cream! This unasked for service made my ice cream 50 times more enjoyable. Staff was very helpful. Since I needed enough for my family, I preordered on the phone. The order was ready plus extra sprinkles. I had a great experience. My family appreciated the high quality ice cream. You cannot go inside or sit at tables right now. Most people are walking the trail, enjoying the shops, or admiring the the new apartment spaces. BRICS is my go to.

What a great place! First of all, I loved the history behind the building. Second, the service is fantastic. My husband and I ordered to go, but we decided to sit down and eat last minute. After about 10 minutes one of the workers brought us out cups of water. How kind! Third, I love that they had four types of vegan ice cream! Yay for dairy free options!

The ice creams are exquisite but you should pay attention to the external facilities for how much they are dilapidated and somewhat disorganized. It had rained and the chairs and tables were wet and there was nowhere to sit and enjoy the delicious ice cream.

This place is great! Love the view of the Monon. The ice cream is amazing. But the real gem is the service. The staff at BRICS is amazing. They are always in a great mood and very knowledgeable about the ice cream they serve. They are very friendly and they always have time to answer questions. My only issue is that it's too far away from my house to walk, or else I would be in there everyday.

The perfect stop for a hot day on the Monon! They have so many choices for ice cream! I got a peanut butter swirl waffle cone and it was the perfect amount. They were super nice and offered us water during our stop. Take advantage of the walk up window if you’re in a hurry. They have lots of seating available as well.

This is a nice spot for ice cream. The ice cream is really yummy. It is not made on site and it is not organic, but still yummy. It is in broad ripple right on the Monon trail. The briclet is enough, as the portion sizes here are huge. This is a trendy place. You can sit outside and people watch or sit inside and enjoy. They pass out free water. It gets pretty crowded and parking is very limited. Should definitely go and sample flavors until you decide which one to finally purchase. They do have handicap parking, not a handicap entrance though. Enjoy!!!

This place next to the Monon Trail is great for a family outing or a casual date. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is friendly. I was surprised how nice a place it was on a cold winter day, with the fireplace going and a cup of coffee, so don't put off visiting just because it's not summertime! There are also vegan ice cream flavors available for the dairy-free crowd, which is great. I'll definitely be back.

My husband and I stopped here while biking the Monon a few weeks ago. We went meat free and dairy free at the beginning of the year and hoped they might have vegan ice cream, which they did. Their vegan ice cream isn't just any vegan ice cream though; it is the best I've ever had. It's incredibly creamy and full of flavor and they have more than just vanilla which is awesome! Check them out if you're out on the Monon or in the Broad Ripple area!

They have some of the best ice cream there. I recommend the black berry ice cream flavor very good Mmmmmmm. They really love it when you ask for random flavors. 12 out of 10 would recommend. They also have something called dog treats but for humans? Really good

Definitely an above average ice cream shop. There's a relatively wide selection of hand scoop ice cream and every one I've tried so far had been very good. I can't speak to their other specialties because I can't help trying some new flavor. The location is great with indoor and outdoor seating right along the Monon.

I have been there only once. It is amazing ! They have a lot of flavors and many options. I am not an ice-cream fan generally but I want to go back again. In my opinion price is great comparing to what you can get and comparing to other ice-cream stores' prices as well. Moreover, you can enjoy the ice-cream while walking on the monon-trail with somebody or friends.

The ice cream here is amazing. They've got a couple non-dairy ice creams, though they charge extra to make them into a shake. That's why I marked down a star. Otherwise great! The conversation cards at each table are a nice touch.

They have a pretty big selection (maybe 20-30 flavors) with soy and vegan options. The prices were reasonable, and they have a large outdoor seating area. The staff were friendly too. My friend dropped part of her ice cream, and they saw and instantly offered to give her another scoop for free.

This is one of my favorite places in Broad Ripple. Their selection is always changing and always delicious. They also normally have 4 vegan flavors at a time which are creamy- never crystallized. A great little ice cream spot with a great drink selection!

Delicious!!! I've walked by many times, but this was the first time I tried it (my niece insisted on an ice cream outing). They have so many interesting flavors! I had a scoop of Bananas Foster (sooo good!!) and Peanut Butter Cup (good). My niece had scoops of the Chocolate Choo Choo and she loved it. She guessed it was called Choo Choo because she said it had "chewy chocolate chips" in it. I'm always trying new flavors of things but I think when I go back I will still get one of my scoops as the Bananas Foster because it was that tasty! :) And I finally understood why the name is Brics -- the sign spelled it out for me: Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station! :)

During the summer it's great to stop in here after a walk on the Monon...or to grab dessert after dinner at a local Broad Ripple establishment any time of year. The flavors are great. The seating is pretty good inside or out on the deck. They have fun little games at some of the 2 tops. Great old building/depot.

As soon as I walked into the humble storefront, I knew I was welcomed with open arms!! Not only was the I cream made with love, the service was outstanding and impecable! However, I was most impressed with the outdoor decor. The pink painted sticks that are strategically placed on the edge of the outdoor eating area, bring a sense of nature and wisdom to our crazy world of materialism. I work right next door but this is my first time at BRICS! We biked the monon and made a pit stop to cool off from the hot day. There were so many choices but I ended up going with the “Triple C” cake pieces, cookie, and confetti sprinkles in a waffle cone. WOAH. I usually don’t care for a cake ice cream but this was amazing and SUPER refreshing. If you’re in a hurry, I recommend the walk up window. However, They had super quick service indoors as well. We sat outside and got offered water. Service was amazing. Highly recommend! Best ice cream in Indy!

Loved this hidden gem, it was quaint with great tasting ice cream and fair prices. It was especially cool that they put your ice cream in glasses if you stayed while eating. We also had fun with the conversation cards on the table. Would highly recommend!

This is a cozy ice cream shop. Shakes are amazing, and tons of ice cream choices. The place is always packed but they have enough staff to keep things moving. The monon trail runs right in front of it -a must stop for bike trips through broad ripple.

Choices, choices, choices! And all that I and my husband have ordered have been very flavorful. There are many options with regard to size, as well as cone type or cup. There are also many choices beyond just ice cream scoops, such as shakes and even banana splits. Any wait due to a rush of customers is worth it. The staff is friendly, and quite willing to warn folks about the size of their order. (We usually order the "bricklet" as even the single scoop is quite plentiful.)

The only thing bad about this place is the danger it poses to one's waistline! Everything I've had here has been amazingly good. Staff are always really friendly and efficient, even when the place is super crowded in the summer. Eco-friendly company and excellent homemade ice cream. Very generous portions for the cost - a 2 scoop is not for the faint of heart! Love this place :)

Ok. So first I have to say the icecream selection is crazy, there's so many delicious options as well as a sizeable selection of vegan options which is really cool and almost rare. I got the orange parfait icecream in a waffle cone and it was certified dank. I like that the building itself is built facing the Monon trail, and has lots of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. To order you pull a ticket from an machine and wait till your number is on the electronic board on the counter. I went on a particularly busy evening and it was so hectic and loud that I almost missed my number.

The ice cream was good the service was so-so. I ordered 5 kids cups, the first and last of my order were served with one scoop, the middle 3 had 2 scoops of ice cream. Having never been there I didn't know how many the kid cups were supposed to have. When I went to pay I asked that question and was told the kid cup come with 2 scoops. I explained 2 of ours had only 1 scoop, they said, that's ok and charged me the same price for all 5 :(

Wow, I understand why this is one of the best ice cream places in Indy! The scoops are huge! There are so many choices it reminds me of the old Baskin Robbins 31 flavors. And they'll make a shake out of any combination you like. I especially appreciate unusual flavors and while most of their choices were fairly traditional or slightly different takes on the traditional there was one flavor my daughter pointed out sounded right up my ally. I don't even remember the name I just remember carmel, grapefruit and hops. That's right, I hate IPAs because I can't stand the hoppiness but turns out I think it makes fantastic ice cream! I'm guessing it's a special seasonal thing but my family and I can vouch for the yumminess of many other flavors too. I also appreciated the reserved parking spaces in Broad Ripple and the the ample (for a tiny ice cream place) seating, although I'm sure it still gets crowded in the summer. There was only one person working the counter when we were in, late on a Saturday night, and making shakes is not an incredibly quick process, I felt bad for her but she handled it really well.

This is my favorite ice cream stop in Indy. They have so many flavors to choose from. The location is right on the Monon trail in Broad Ripple. Stop by after a walk, bike, run or stroll. Parking can sometimes be difficult, but if you don't mind a small walk you will be able to find parking. A nice patio outside and seating inside. I am ready for my next dish of ice cream.

This is one of the most affordable ice cream shops ever. I used to take 4 kids here regularly. We could all get a pretty big amount of ice cream for $13. They change their flavors around often too. It can get pretty packed. It is a tiny little place and decorated charmingly. They have little conversarion starter games on the table and have ice water out for their customers(my kids loved the glasses of water for some reason lol) right off the monon. Super close to canal. Easily accessible. Fun for all ages. Awesome outdoor patio. One of my favorite places in B rip. I love you Brics!!!!!

Located along the Monon Trail it is within walking distance no matter where in Broadripple you are. The ice cream is all sourced from a place on the east side of Indy and always tastes great. The service is good too, and you can't complain about the prices because it gets you sooooooooooooo much ice cream. They have 4 freezers full of ice cream and lots of different flavors to make anyone and everyone happy. During busy times they use a number system so that they can keep people moving, and ensure that everyone is helped quickly and in the order they came in. There are tables inside as well as outside that you can use to enjoy your ice cream. Or you can feel better about eating ice cream and eat it while walking along the Monon.

Right off of the Monon BRICS is a cute little sweet shop with about 30 different flavors of ice cream to choose from. There were also 2-3 pies as well as a couple of brownies available up front. From the delicious smells inside I believe they make their own waffle cones (dipped too) right there in house. Indoor and outdoor seating are available.

I have passed this place for years while either walking or biking the Monon and always thought that they only served regular ice cream. Glad to find out I was wrong! Today, I stopped in with my 13 year old and 3 month old for a special treat and to ignore my lactose intolerance. We were greeted by welcoming staff to free samples and 4 offerings that I could personally indulge in. I ended up with a Vegan Chocolate Mint waffle Cone and my 13 year old son with a regular chocolate mint waffle Cone. It was delicious, the décor was relaxing, and the staff went around offering water for everyone. My only regret is not coming here sooner. I will be back!

Very dense ice cream that doesn't melt fast and is very flavorful. There is free 2-hour parking behind building when you buy ice cream. There is always a line here.
