Super delicious. I had the apricot and wild berry, and it was so refreshing. They have a lot of different flavors to choose from. The employees were so sweet and patient (we took a while choosing since it was our first time. It was also very clean inside. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Houston!

Sweet Cup is my favorite ice cream shop in Houston. All the flavors are excellent. They often have special and seasonal flavors. Saint Arnold root beer float is my favorite. They make their own marshmallows for that flavor and they are awesome. Prices are reasonable.

What a great experience. I've been meaning to stop in for a while now and glad I did. The selections of Gelato all looked tasty and I didn't really know which one to choose but I know I'll be coming back and trying other flavors of these fantastic Gelato's (Italian process of making ice cream)! Cute little spot for some ice cream! We tried the guava sorbet. And the other flavor we tried was horchata and coconut gelato. If you not sure what flavor to get you can ask them for samples but only three times. Definitely will come back

We tried 4 different flavors of authentic gelato and all were extremely delicious fresh and well balanced. Our Gelato expert Angel helped explaining each flavor and was very helpful. We highly recommend this Gelato heaven for everyone who has a sweet tooth:)

This is a sweet little gelato shop. I’m not usually a sweet person but I was waiting for my son to finish his dentist appointment and decided to try this place. The service was excellent, the treat was delicious, and the shop was inviting and fun. They have outside seating as well. They service cookies, brownies, and other treats too. This place is kinda expensive. For 2 eye small gelato cups I paid almost $20 bucks.

I agree with all the good reviews in here... flavor wise, hands down one of the best ice cream shops ever!! Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience due to the employee taking care of my order. She was super annoyed when I asked her what does she recommended... she made me feel super anxious for taking a few seconds to choose (so many flavors!!). When I asked her which one she preferred, Turkish or Vietnamese coffee, she literally barked Vietnamese... horrible experience, AMAZING ice cream

SweetCup Gelato & Sorbet Originale offers fresh gelato in the Montrose District! You can even find them at your Local Whole Foods Market. Definitely a to go to spot for delightful gelato. They currently are not offering free samples which is a bummer but it is due to CDC guidelines. They have an assortment of flavors but my favorites are Horchata, Orange Creamsicle, & Dirty Coconut, they are heavenly!! Some flavors are Dairy Free but one must ask to reassure. They do offer sorbets which are made freshly as they offer Local Organic Produce when available. They also allow for one to choose up to three flavors in their small Sz which is a plus as that is rarely done anywhere. I’d definitely recommend for anyone to try them out!!

A friend took me here to try their unique gelato flavors. I'm glad she did. I tried the guava rose gelato with the orange sorbet. The sizing may seem small in a tiny cup, but I can be quite filling. The guava rose was my favorite. You can actually taste and the guava and a hint of rose. I hope they have this next time when I return!

On a nice evening, it’s great to sit outside and try the seasonal flavors along with my faves. *** After diligently tasting as much gelato in H-town as I can find, I love Sweet Cup. This is the BEST gelato, freshly made daily, flavors updated seasonally, and great service. The Montrose location is clean but not hipster, and I don’t care. Get over it, and bless your tongue. It’s exactly that good - alone, on a date, hanging out with friends, taking a break with family, whatever. I’m not ashamed to say I had two Smalls at my first visit, and my surprising favorite is Lavender, holy moly. Or any flavor. If they can make Lavender taste like the best Summer ever, then I’m All In. You go, you are going to want to kiss someone.

Nice gelato shop. Flavors are hand crafted in Houston, TX. They offer some traditional flavors like chocolate and vanilla. And then they offer some creatively avant-garde flavors, like goat cheese caramelized pear. I tried the Horchata Dulce de Leche and the Banana Cinnamon Cayenne. I preferred the former to the later. They are a cashless store. Pretty good customer service. Bon appétit 🙂

Went to 34th street location last week for the first time and learned that they are no longer open, so came to this location today. Had 3 scoops in a cup; Mint Cucumber, Cafe Au Lait and Banana Pudding, and loved them all especially Mint Cucumber was impressive that I have never had like that before. Will come back.

Where to start.. I guess with the 🍦Ice cream 🍦 would be best 🤣 Man o man.. Take it from someone who has never tried any other ice cream other than Blue Bell.. They have some amazing Ice cream🍦 With Mind blowing flavors,flavors ive never heard of wich I love ! Your allowed up to four Samples unfortunately lol... BUT I completly understand.. seeing how there are customers.. such as myself 🤣 that would sample EACH ONE ! If you get a cup your given a complimentary Waffle piece i think it is.. that is delicious as well.. The customer service.. Was SUPERB ! The Employees are Great !!! Great attitude and very patient.. Ik i was probably one of those annoying customers.. but never once did she show it 💀 Stayed with a beautiful positive attitude.. I had to give her a tip.. BTW guys.. ijs.. I sat there for a while before ordering and witness quite a little rush of customers.. two to be exact Nd not one tiped.. Not one smh and I witnessed great customer service thru the rushes. I got the reverse cookies and cream and Vietnamese iced coffee in a cone: Both were delicious very creamy, not too sweet, and light. The place is cute for an ice cream date, they have chairs outside to enjoy if there is nice weather as well.I think it was reasonably priced.

Been here twice. Out of this world ice cream. Really unique flavors. They rotate flavors, so you'll may be surprised with a new one. Small store with a few tables indoor and outdoor. Got the affrogato today which is a scoop of ice cream with expresso poured over and it was great. Try it, you won't regret it. My girlfriend loves this place.

Hidden gem for sure!!! We each had different sorbets and gelatos desserts. The flavors and tastes were incredible. Normally we get great pictures but the our tummies could not wait to taste the deliciousness.

Customer service was blah. All the unique flavors needed to be explained. My grandson and I were offered 4 samples each. The samples were the size of a raisin. I decided to order Dirty Banana Pudding which ended up not being good to me. My last complaint is the value. My scoops were so small and hollow my cone was empty in 2 minutes. My grandson loved his raspberry and birthday cake combo!

Obsessed. Variety of flavors that change often, high quality, delicious, excellent service. Addition: We have been coming here for years and met the owner. She is so nice and cares about her customers and a quality product. She just did a rebranding and everything looks great. I got the vanilla bean tres leches. I was so sad they ran out of the straciatello flavor: it was my favorite. Instead, I got the nutella s'mores and cookie n' cream gelato flavors. The price for a small, you get 2 scoops of the same flavor or different ones. They make their flavor daily and I was able to taste samples of the flavors before I chose the one I wanted.

Excellent, creamy gelato. My partner and I were interested in some post-lunch dessert so we headed to SweetCup and were not disappointed. I love ice cream and have very high standards for it. Their gelato was without a doubt one of the best that i’ve had in the United States. I had the banana pudding and mango flavour while my partner had pistachio flavour.

Service was good. The Gelato flavors they had at the time simply didn't suit me. They were mostly fruity. Guava, strawberry, etc. I ended up with sweet cream with chocolate shavings and it was okay but not great. Will probably try them again, though. Prices are about mid-range for ice cream/gelato.

One of my favorite places on Houston! Been here multiple times since it opened and I make sure to stop by everytime I come to the museum. I just love the flavors and their combinations. My favorites are the goat cheese, bluemoon, the almond honey and they had guava rose creamsicle and beets us honey. I know they dont sound great, but once you try them you will definitely change your mind. If you have an open pallete then this is the place for you! They also sell some of there flavors in many Wholefoods stores, I just wish they had my favorite flavors out there. The staff is always friendly and the place is very clean!

This place has THE BEST Gelato I have ever had.. seriously. I spoke with the maker of the Gelato and she mentioned that they get their pistachio paste from Italy and that is why it tastes so good. I love that it doesn't taste like Almond Extract.

This is a hard place to find at night because the strip center it is in is pretty dark. Once you do make your way in, however, you will like what you find. My wife and I were finding it a hard time to choose between the approximate two dozen flavors or so, but each of us got the medium cup with two scoops. Reasonably priced and tastes good, and the lady helping us was very friendly. If you like gelato, I would recommend it!

I love their variety of flavors that are unique but not strange. Last time I visited I had two that I normally get plus Sweet Potato, which I truly hope they keep. They also have non-dairy Sorbet in addition to Gelato. Parking is a little tight sometimes.

Visited this place quite a few times in the past! Very good gelato! They make it daily! And the flavors change every so often so you gotta check it out! My favorite one was the Spumante (cookie butter) flavor. Pricing is good and you can get as little as a small 1 scoop to buying a pre-made pint! They offer affagato style and floats too! Unfortunately due yo Covid they don’t have much coffee options. I’ve seen very interesting flavors like goat milk, soy sauce, and garlic if you want to try out your inner thrill seeker. But for those who are the less adventurous type there are PLENTY of safer flavors to choose from! Pistachio, vegan chocolate, bourbon rum butter (using real rum alcohol) raspberry and loads more! Highly worth a visit!

A small ice cream shop in Montrose, but I do like the unique flavors here. It's located in a small plaza strip. Somewhat doable parking. Not too busy on a Saturday afternoon, but a crowd started to come in after us. The inside is a bit small with a few tables. They let you try an unlimited amount of flavors. The staff was very friendly and patient with us as we tried the flavors. There are 3 sizes in terms of which cup you want. A small size gives you up to 3 different flavors. SweetCup is some of the best gelato I've ever had, and it's in par with anything in Italy according to well-versed sources. Creative flavors rotate constantly, so you're always guaranteed new and interesting choices. Great locally-owned shop that deserves our support, especially during this pandemic!

My favorite ice cream place! Or "gelato place", I should say! It's a cute spot with lots of selections. Their sizes are also more my style. If you want a lot, you get a lot! but the small size is actually small which I very much appreciate! The owner was there both times I went serving the gelato and you could tell they were passionate about it. The Gelato here is amazing! Their flavors change seasonally and they also have other options like sorbet, yogurt, and custard. Their housemaid waffle cones are also really good! I definitely recommend it whether you're looking for something sweet, mild, heavy, or light. They have a great variety! It's really nice to be able to support a small business but that's also really awesome and unbeatable!

I LOVE adventuring and trying new ice cream places, so I think I know my gelato/ice cream pretty well. Sweet Cup is 10/10! Great! Amazing! So full of flavor! I cannot speak for their sorbet, but all of their gelato is great! They have over 10 flavors all the time and rotate some of them in and out. The service is always excellent as well.

My wife and I have visited this place over 10 times. They're absolutely fantastic. The flavors are exactly (if not more than) as expected, customer service is great and they allow 3-5 flavor options depending on bowl size. FYI parking can be a bit tight on the weekends. (our personal favorite is the Texan kulfi!)

This was our first time here. I loved that they had a patio seating. I had Tommy’s Salted Caramel and my husband had the Maple Pecan. Perfect blend of salt and sugar in the Carmel, tasted yummmm! The flavors of Pecan were perfectly blended with the sugar. The cone was fresh and crispy! It had been a long time we had such tasty scoops of ice-cream! Ofcourse, you could tell we shared the cone with one scoop of each. Great customer service and very welcoming!

Great gelato shop with creamy bites For variety and a creamy bite this is now my stop. For a medium cup you can get 4 flavors each of its own scoop. I love it. The bacio, is my fav. The roasted hazelnut flavor really comes through with emphasis on “roasted”. Paired with the chocolate base... mmmm very good. There are also sort of not common flavors: I like the huckleberry and banana pudding. They taste just like you’d imagine. During COVID you can still go in the order just can’t stay. Also there is option to call in for your order but I don’t recommend unless you are right outside when you call. Happy eating and stay healthy

Lot their vegan options! They don't just have sorbets like most ice cream places, but many of their flavors contain plant-based milks. Many different options vegan and non-vegan and their prices are pretty fair too. I would definitely come back here again!

Unbelievably good. My wife and I love this place - the employees are helpful (ask them for samples and pairing tips) and the Gelato is delicious. Texas Kulfi and Orange Chocolate are my favorites. This is a perfect after dinner spot on a Friday or Saturday.

Small, cold, and sweet are what I think of when I go to Sweet Cup Gelato. They have an impressive range of flavors to choose from which are made impressively in-house. They have the typical gelato favorites such as stracciatella and bacio to more adventuresome ones like curry, red chili, and Vietnamese coffee. All flavors are also rotated each day so there is always something new to try. They also serve other sweet treats such as yogurt, coffee, and sometimes other treats like baked goods but those would be dine-in specials. Overall, Sweet Cup is a nice little place to stop by if you’re craving gelato. The prices appear to be standard compared to most other gelato places at about $3-6 based on size. Side note: parking is really terrible during the day at this location so just be aware of that when you decide to visit.

I love coffee and coffee icecream so I chose it based on that description. The Best Gelato Shop in the Loop! I really like the way the have Flavors to Combo. Cheesecake Gelato and Gramcracker Gelato, Kafir Lime Gelato and Coconut Milk Gelato and Thai Curry Gelato. Their Gelato Espresso Floats are better than anything you might get from a Starbucks. The staff is super friendly to everyone who walks in. I hope this place is open for many many years. The gelato and experience at Sweetcup was refreshing.The staff was very friendly and considerate even after I tried a majority of the flavors there. What you order is what you get. The flavors are on point. The chocolate amerreto was heavy on chocolate and then gave a strong amerreto finish. The burbon caramel did not skimp on burbon. The cookie butter tastes as if it came out of the jar. The consistancy was smooth and rich without being overwhelmingly sweet.The cone was crisp and light. I will be coming again with company.

To be fair I haven't gone to this location yet but based on my experiences with the montrose location and knowing the passion and great taste the owner has, I have to give it 5 stars on the strength of them literally never dissapointing me. I'll update after I've visited this location. If they have it, try the vanilla bean tres leches. They haven't taken out a restraining order on me yet (I've been a problem since the above flavor was introduced) but it's probably because they now also sell some flavors in whole foods and central market, so I don't have to breathe on the window until they open...kidding! :)

Cookies and cream had huge chunks of cookies and was delicious, honestly probably the best cookies and cream flavor I've ever had. I would like to say you were very professional and your attention to detail in everything you do is amazing. When my friend and I pulled up you were making sure the shop windows were nice and clean. When you walk in, everything is gorgeously presented. This was my first gelato place and I was not disappointed. As a chef, your gelato has no crystals and it is super silky smooth. Your flavor profile for your creme brulee is on point. When I gave the cookies and creme to my guy, his eyes lit up and he was like this is the best ice cream I've ever had! (He's also not had gelato before) Thank you and I want your business to have so much more because after escaping to here from Louisiana this was probably the best breath of fresh air!
