Best custard in and around Houston. I've been going here for YEARS and there is nothing that compares. I've tried various flavors and options (all including peanut butter). Today I tried something simple and it was still the most satisfying treat I could get. (Pb and vanilla custard). Do yourself a favor and try it, you won't be disappointed. 😁👌😄

Connie’s never disappoints. Always on point and delicious custard. Our go to is Brownie sundae and almond concrete. At a time wait might be longer but its definitely worth waiting.

12/19/2021 I’ve probably been here as a family at least monthly. Delicious! Still standby my 5 star rating! Highly recommend this place! 2020: Absolutely delicious custard! Great flavor choices and you can even add your own toppings to customize it to your liking. Not an inexpensive dessert however good bang for buck, especially if you're familiar with custard prices. I'd recommend & I'll definitely be back.

Really yummy! We had 10 students from College Station come and order custard at one time, they were fast and everyone enjoyed it. You could even watch them make it from the giant window in the front. I would come back whenever I am in town again.

Feeling hot in need of something cold? I recommend stopping here and getting yourself a cold delicious treat.They have a great selection from sundaes to shakes, cones, concretes, banana splits, ect. The ice cream here is spectacular very soft like Dairy Queens. And if you are a chocolate fan I recommend theirs here it is so delicious!

This is so sinful but angelic at the same time. Located on 12545 Jones road, is a small frozen custard joint. Their frozen custard (ice cream) is by far the best thing my mouth has ever experienced when it comes to desserts. There is a variety of delicious flavors but unfortunately as a creature of bad habit, every time I get there, I tell myself I will try something new - and then I land up taking my usuals, either the PIE SUNDAY (warm apple pie, toffee & frozen custard) or the CHOCOLATE BROWNIE SUNDAY (warm brownie, toffee & frozen custard) - they just to damn nice not to take. If you live in Houston, TX and you haven’t tried Connies, then where the heck have you been hiding - your mouth is missing out on an avalanche of bursting flavors and experiences (because yeah this ain’t just a dessert, it’s a mouthwatering experience). Came here for a date and the vanilla custard here was nice and smooth. They were out of chocolate, but I guess that tells you how popular this place is. Either way, adding stuff to the custard to make a "concrete" was good. The Oreo one was good. I think they probably could have mixed it better, though. Anyway, nice place for a date. Just know that there's going to be road noise here if you plan to sit down and eat.

I made my family drive 40+ minutes to try Connie’s Frozen Custard and it was absolutely the best decision! I LOVE FROZEN CUSTARD and Connie’s did not disappoint. The prices are good, especially considering the quality and other options you might have… The medium is the perfect size for me (I got it the first day I visited) and when I got back the next day (to say goodbye) I got the large, which is definitely bigger than the medium. To me this is a life changing frozen custard experience, I loved it soooo much! They have a lot of options, but I got it plain to fully appreciate the texture and flavor. If you have the opportunity to try it please do it! I can’t wait to visit Houston area again just to visits this place <3

I am never disappointed when I grab a treat from Connie’s. It is one of the only stand alone frozen custard stands around. They are always busy and my recommendation is to use the walk up window instead of the drive through because service tends to be faster and the parking lot is a little tight

Went here with family and it was a pleasant experience. It was a Friday night and fairly busy. The line went super fast and we were out of there in about 10 minutes despite. So good. We've been faithful Connie's customers for over a decade. Their custards are fabulous! We love a vanilla custard with brownie bites concrete, but everything is wonderful. If you go, be aware that after dinner in the summer it is VERY busy, so plan accordingly and bring lots of patience because often the drive thru wait is about 10-15 cars long. If you are lucky enough to find one of the 4 parking spaces empty, best grab that and order at the window on foot!

This is hands down, the best Frozen Custard place in Houston! Probably the best dessert place in general in my opinion. Strawberry Cheesecake Concrete always hits the spot. Soft, not too sweet with just enough strawberry and the soft cheesecakes just makes the experience complete. There may be a line when you visit but the line goes fast so don't run off. Also, get out of your car and enjoy the wonderful weather.

Always a great experience. I'm a big fan of this place. The vanilla and chocolate custards are both great choices (I always go for chocolate though!). The lines aren't usually that long if you get out and order at the window. The drive through does get pretty busy sometimes and you can see it back up into the lot. It just means that the custard is really that good. I'm a fan of the chocolate custard with peanut butter cup and peanut butter. It's like eating Reese's peanut butter cups as ice cream. There are tons of toppings and the option of ice cream sandwiches. We will definitely be back. And there are benches in front to sit and enjoy the weather.

My family from the Rio Grande Valley come to visit but in reality it's because they want Connie's concrete oreo!!! Wish they were closer to the 610 loop though. Either way, there custard is too freaking good! Oh and they give you a free puppy cone for your pup!!

This is one of my favorite places to go for a special treat. I wish it wasn't so far from the house, but it's worth the drive. We have tried most of the sundaes and have not been disappointed once. They don't hold back on the fixings. It would be nice if their menu was in more than one spot so that you had a chance to look it over without holding up the line.

Excellent service! The only concern was due to the traffic patrol. That interaction almost made me leave, possibly consider putting up signs that say, no left turns to enter the drive through, you must drive all the around, even if you have room to turn & not block the drive... but you can block the drive exiting the area once you drive around..😩 Nevertheless, the customer service was great and the custard was good. The texture wasn't as thick as I'd like and somewhat runny, but everything taste Great! I'll be back for another try because the lady at the window was so kind and the product tasted fresh!

My favorite ice cream place in the Cypress area since it opened over 20 years ago. The Texas Tornado is my go-to item with the melted chocolate chips and strawberries mixed together. I recommend parking and walking up to the window to order since the drive through can have a long line going out to Jones road.

Can't believe it took me this long to visit Connie's. I've never had custard before and this is apparently the only place that offers authentic custard in Houston. We got two tubs of vanilla and chocolate custard and it's absolutely delicious. The key is to wait a few minutes for the custard to melt away from the container so that its just the right consistency. I'll be back for more next time and to try their specialty desserts!

The custard here is phenomenal, I have been a customer for years and drive from the woodlands to enjoy. This review is not regarding the taste of product but rather the consistency and accuracy of orders. I have not wanted to post but now it happens too frequently to ignore especially after the commute and long, long lines. Just make sure you taste before driving off after being in line for half an hour. I don’t wait outside bc patrons refuse to distance themselves and not mask (not the fault of the business).

This place is great. I am not used to seeing custard like this but it is fabulous. I used to just get three one for the Mrs. And one for each of the kids and just play clean up. Now the kids are finishing their's i have had to upgrade. Nice big menu, easy walk up or drive-thru. Though the drive-thru line can get long it moves.

Love this place! I’ve been coming here since 2006 and the quality of service and the custard hasn’t changed. They’re usually very quick, whether you wait in line or go through the drive thru. The workers are always polite as well. Only suggestion is that the workers should wear gloves especially when they are making a cone (hands to cone and then kids eat the cone).

First time to try Connie's Frozen Custard and I loved it. It's definitely different than ice cream but very enjoyable. It's a richer flavor so I wasn't able to finish my regular sized chocolate but it was very good. A tiny bit on the expensive side but you could split a regular custard size between two people and they have a rewards program. Definitely worth a try!

We were in Spring for a soccer tournament and a friwnd mentioned that when they were in the area they would stop at Connie's for the best custard around. After spending the day at Meyer Park, we stopped by Connie's before heading home. The custard was smooth and creamy and the three of us agreed it was better than the custard shop near us in Katy.

Connie's always delivers. One of the best dessert options in the area. Their custard tastes so delicious and their menu offerings provide a wide variety of options. Some of our favorites include the brownie sundae, pretzel caramel crunch, and strawberry cheesecake concrete. Only complaint is that the banana split is not served with hot fudge by default.

Love this place. Has been opened for decades now but the quality of their ice-cream remains just as delicious as when they first opened. The place gets SUPER crowded during hot weather, especially in the afternoon/evening. But their service is fast so you won't wait for long. They have a window where you can order in person and also a drive-thru. Usually it's faster to just park, order at the window, and take your ice-cream to-go rather than wait in the drive-thru line.

Great place for Frozen Custard with a large selection of specialties like an apple pie sundae. It's a fairly small place, they do have a drive through and an outdoor seating area, and even though they are pretty quick there is fairly well always a wait during the warmer months. ( A good sign of popularity and quality)

We go to this place a lot. Everybody gets something different. The Pretzel Caramel Crunch concrete is my favorite. But, I have family members that prefer sundaes, shakes, and the cookie sandwich. All of those are great. If you get the brownie sundae, be sure to add an extra scoop as the two that come with it are not enough. Bring friends and/or family and sit out front. The Frozen Custard is delicious.

My husband got a tattoo in this same shopping center and every time we would come here, Connie's was always crazy PACKED!! It had loooong lines of cars in the drive through and people standing outside. So we decided to check this place out. I ordered the Texas Tornado and wow, I was hella impressed! The melted chocolate chip gave it a twist!! I love it! My husband got a chocolate malt with M&M's and Crunch. He loved his as well but there was one tiny problem...they gave us a regular size straw and couldn't get the crushed candy through the straw. 🙁 Little tip for business owner, they should also have "Tapioca Sized" straws so we can enjoy it better 😊 Other than that, will be coming back to try the rest of the menu!!

I order the almond delight with chocolate custard instead of vanilla. Wow, it is the bomb! The turtle is great too! I've tried several items, all great. Yes a bit pricey but it made with fresh fruit/toppings. It worth it because I've always gotten generous toppings, whether it fresh fruit, nuts, etc. I've paid same price at Marble Slab, Baskin Robbins or Yogurt Cup so maybe I'm used to it? Kids are young and they learning customer service but always prompt with my order. I have no complaints, only praises!

I drove by this place for at least 10 years before finally stopping and I'm kicking myself because I waited so long. Their custard is some of the best I have ever tasted which is why no matter what time of day or night you go there, there is almost always a line of 5 to 20 minutes just to place your order. You can get your custard in sundae form, mixed with toppings to make concretes which are like DQ's blizzards, they even have shakes, malts, soda floats, and my favorite, custard on top of pie. They have chocolate and vanilla but their long list of mixers and toppings is sure to please anyone.

I’ve been a residence of this area for decades. Their ice cream is just as good today as they did when the place first opened around 25 or so years ago. My parents had a business in the same shopping center, so frozen custard from Connie’s was a weekly treat. Can you think of another ice cream shop that is opened for 25 years? Most likely not. That goes to show you how good and popular Connie’s is. Lines at the front window can wrap around to the side of the building and car lines for the drive-thru can wrap around the parking lot on summer weekends and nights. Drive-thru line can take up to 30+ minutes so be ready to wait, but it’s so worth it.

Connie's is a hot spot in cypress. When we arrived the line was long. The drive thru line was longer. We waiting in line and meet some amazing community members and some furry friends. A great Sunday Fun Day stop. You only get chocolate or vanilla and the topping are limited. So that may drive some people away. It could use some more choices but over all a great treat. I always just a quart of vanilla and bring it home. You would be surprised how long a quart will last you.

Great custard at good prices, but beware: the line can be long, especially for the drive-thru, and the location isn't well suited to the long line. On good days, it stretches through the parking lot... on bad days, it goes to the road. If it's after dark, park and get out, if you can.

Connie's is by far one of the best frozen custards I've tasted in Houston. The smooth, richness of Connie's custard is not only inexpensively priced, but also open pretty late to satisfy those late night dessert cravings. If you've never had custard before, you should definitely try it out to see the difference in texture and light/density compared to regular ice cream. You can customize your fresh custard from the most basic soft serve to sundaes, concretes, shakes/malts, etc. topped with all the toppings you want. The only downfall is that this is the only location on Jones Rd, which is pretty far north from where I live so my chances of visiting are limited. Open more locations in Houston and spread the greatness of custard!!

I went yesterday for the first time and picked up three banana splits. The ladies were amazing and put them in bags with ice so they would hold during my long drive. For those complaining about masks they are wearing gloves, washing hands and there are plastic protection walls between you and them. They are in a small building and it’s been over 100° outside... wearing masks in that kind of heat is unrealistic. UPDATE: went back again today (thank you for the buckets) and AGAIN they were friendly, fast and we’re keeping things healthy and clean. The apple pie is AMAZING THE BROWNIE IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS THE VANILLA WITH CHERRIES HAD THE LITTLE KID SO HAPPY HE WAS QUIET THE WHOLE RIDE HOME.

It is a Tuesday night tradition. As it gets hotter, traffic winds through the parking lot so go to the window instead. It is almost always faster to park and walk up to the window than going through the drive through. It needs better control in making it through the drive through. Cuatard is consistently good. I'm partial to the Texas Tornado (vanilla custard with chocolate and strawberry), but I usually have them substitute cherries instead of strawberries. There are a number of excellent options, and they have toppings you can choose from to make your own concoctions. All in all, it's tough to go wrong.
