You looking for vegan ice cream, smoothies à la island style?🍦🏝️ I recommend this cute place. Located in a small side street, which has surfboards locked away on the one side and the shop on the other side. The street leads directly to the beach. 🏖️ We got the pineapple yacht and the poolside smoothie. 🍍🥥 Make sure you order without honey 🍯 if you want to make it vegan 🌱 Both were super delicious! 🤤 Definitely recommend! The prices are like everywhere else in Waikiki. 😮‍💨💸

An amazing desert place for all the Vegan food lovers. All their items are dairy free made out of banana and tropical fruits. I got the #5 ‘Locals only’ which was fruity and yet not too sweet. Wait time can be about 15-20 minutes depending on the time of the day. Giving the store location additional charm are the surf boards lined up on both sides of the alley leading to the Waikiki beach. Definitely a ‘must go’ desert spot in the Waikiki beach area.

Essentially, this is ice cream made with banana instead of cream. It's pretty good. If it wasn't for the signs, we would not have known this place existed, as it is, literally, a hole in the wall. We ordered a Strawberry Sunrise smoothie. Looking back, we should have picked up a Locals Only creation. Maybe the next time we're in Honolulu. My 6 year old daughter thought the smoothie was delicious.

This was such a fun stop. It's located down a side street lined with surfboards, and they offer a bunch of great flavours. It might take a little while as there can be a line, but it's worth it! Staff were friendly and the banana ice-cream was great. A few people before us got theirs served in pineapple or guava, which looked really tasty too. Get there a little before closing if you are visiting late, as they close promptly at the time listed.

No seating but the beach is just a couple of steps away. Location is in alleyway, that is an access to the beach ( so not sketchy). I think I got the jams world and the seasonal jam at the time is passionfruit. I didn't love the flavor but for nearly $10 i wasn't going to waste it. They also sell random merchandise.

Really dope beach shack right between the main road and the beach. No waiting area, but like everyone else you can stand and take pics of all of the cool boards stored along the walls. My friend and I ordered the Locals Only and the Amazon. They definitely pack a lot of ingredients into each bowl or cup. Prices are reasonable and the everything is really fresh. The shack does get busy throughout the day with all of the beachgoers passing by. Just try to get there early in the AM or the later afternoon to avoid the lines. They have plenty of flavors to choose from and its definitely a fun place to go to grab a snack.

I ordered The Royal Hawaiian. It was delicious. The coconut milk was a bit overwhelming but wasn’t too bad. A great place to go if you are looking for no added sugar. I was told that it was made with all natural products.

Really cute place offering delicious dairy free desserts. The location is very unique as well - surrounded by surf boards between the beach and road. We got the "locals only" and "chunkadelic" and enjoyed them both. The Mac nut honey butter tastes amazing!

Such a cute dairy-free ice cream shack!! I ordered the Chunkadelic and it was really good. Great portion, fresh and healthy ingredients, good price. There was a line and it was very slow. One person at cash and one person creating the orders. This spot is a bit hidden in one of the alleyways full of surfboards heading towards the beach. Give this place a try!!

Bumped into this place while walking an alley from the beach between a hotel and a parking structure. Would have never found it otherwise. Very good and lots of blending flavors in the original. The actual soft serve banana is on the riper side of taste that made it taste more like it was overripened and ready for banana bread. If you like that you'll love this, but I love less ripe bananas.

A cute place with delicious dairy free and vegan soft serve! We ordered the Chunkadelic, which came with Mac nut honey butter, dark chocolate, granola and shaved coconut. The Mac nut honey butter was delicious! It’s located in the alley of surfboards, right about halfway down. A refreshing afternoon treat for those hot sunny days!

We got the macadamia crunch butter bowl and it was great. The "ice cream" is dairy free and made from frozen banana. It really tastes good and smooth and the honey drizzled on top really helps. The staff were very friendly and even have us some good tips on dinner locations. Definitely worth a stop especially if you need a dairy free dessert.

I love a solid açaí bowl. Banan is such a treat. It’s located right next to the beach; the fruit is fresh and sweet. It’s a nice treat especially on a hot day. It’s a little expensive, but everything right next to the beach is a little on the high side.

Hands down Banan was my favorite part of Waikiki! We visited here at least 4 times during our week and a half trip on Oahu. I tried the Chunkadelic, and the Pineapple Yacht. Both were tasty and perfect for the warm weather. Best of all, they were non-dairy! They’re very generous with the portions and toppings so I didn’t need to order extra. I recommend getting the Pineapple yacht for nice photos :)

I had the banana-pinneaple-coconut milk smoothie. It felt fresh and had a nice tast, but I can't say it was great. Also it felt a little expensive, so I reduced the rating by 1 star for value. The location is great, perfect stop while walking on the road or after spending the day at the beach. The staff was good, and the drink was ready very quickly. Might revisit to try out other things on their menu.

The girls working at this place are so incredibly sweet! They made my experience even better. I had been eyeing these pineapple boats everywhere, and finally decided to try one from banan. Enjoyed getting some treats from here several times during our stay in Waikiki. We loved the nearly exclusively plant based menu & picked up some ices & smoothies en route to the beach. I had the nutty buddy smoothie 3 times & paid the extra $1 for a scoop of vegan protein powder. Highly suggested!

Sometimes you need tasty ice-cold snacks on brutally sunny afternoons, and this place does not disappoint. We got the chunkadelic, and even though we aren't big fans of bananas, we were quite happy with the textures and flavors in this little cup. Four stars because now that I know Island Vintage Shave Ice exists, I might just walk over there for a Heavenly Lilikoi if I was craving something ice-cold and was in the area again.

A must try spot for some really good soft serve that's vegan friendly. We usually get this after out hike at Diamond Head, but it looks like that location closed down. They do have one out in the beach walk area in Waikiki. The snack here is very refreshing and light. I feel like I could eat this all the time and feel good about it.

Was searching for a place to have dessert after lunch and found about banan. You have to walk right pass the cheesecake factory and turn right at the alleyway with all the surfboards to reach the shack.So it’s mentioned that banan is a dairy free soft serve made from bananas.I bought the cup size ( they do have different serving sizes)chunakdelic which had macnut honey butter, dark chocolate chips,granola,shaved coconut and honey. It was delicious and light on the stomach.

I was so excited to take my husband here. I came 3 years ago. And probably got a banan bowl every day for 4 weeks straight. It was delicious. And seriously so well made. This week; We went and got overpriced bowls. They had fewer flavors than what they used to have. Even the ones we got weren’t that great. Sad that the quality isn’t what it used to be. Even tried different bowls a couple days later, and still feeling disappointed.

Perfect treat on a Saturday afternoon! I got the Mac Nut Mocha Float which was a great but surprising combination of coffee and their fruity soft serve. My boyfriend ordered their Riss Moore in a bowl but added the Macadamia Nut Honey Butter which was an excellent decision. It came with a ton of toppings! It was a little pricey but very delicious and satisfying. The location itself was a little hard to find but quirky. Overall, happy with Banan!

Incredibly delicious shave ice that is so soft it is like eating the softest snow. We’ve visited many times during our trip - highly recommend!

Down this colorful alley lined by surfboards locked for safe keeping, on the way to Waikiki beach, there is this tiny ice cream shop. Literally a hole in the wall. The fruit is fresh, sweet and vibrant. The ice cream is bananas. Literally banana ice cream, so tasty! A feast for the eyes and taste buds. Took a minute to find the shack but I'm glad we kept looking. Didn't realize it was located down the surfboard alley. It's actually a really cool location once you find it. Service was excellent. Very friendly. The Amazon that I ordered was the perfect balance of flavors and textures. Overall very pleased. Definitely worth a visit.

Good for dairy free, gluten free and people seeking dessert without added sugar (unless you get the honey). I had the açaí-banana twist with strawberry, papaya, blueberry, honey-mac-nut butter and dark chocolate, it tasted pretty great, especially the Mac but butter. It was really too big and it was the smallest side they had. I really would encourage them to offer a kids size. It’s odd that they brand themselves as health-conscious but don’t offer a smaller size. Even though it’s just fruit, it’s still a ton of sugar.

Delicious! I got the Original in the cup side and thought the portion was a good size. I especially enjoyed the puffed quinoa. I wasn't sure if the banana flavor was going to be too strong but it wasn't. It only had a hint of banana. Really reminded me of good soft serve icecream but way healthy. Loved it!!

Banan is BANANAS! Both in the sense that it's amazing, and that it's literally 100% bananas. I highly recommend the Choco Chunk with bananas: classic banan, chocolate chunks, granola, coconut, honey,macnut butter and sliced bananas. BOOM.
