First time trying their ice cream and can’t complain at all! Ordered 4 flights with different flavors. We had about 10 different flavor ice creams, a couple of each of the cookies, brownies, and each flavor macaroons. Money was well spent! Delicious ice creams and baked goods. The staff was very pleasant and friendly as well; and the store was clean.

Great family place for ice cream. They have tons of flavors and fun toppings to choose from. I like that it’s right on Main Street, there’s tons of places in the area to sit. The ice cream is extremely rich, so be cautious on how much you order. It’s also cash or Venmo only, they have an ATM available inside.

We enjoyed our experience at Main Street Creamery. The flight is a good deal and great for sharing or for the indecisive ice cream customer (@ me). Our favorite flavors were the pumpkin Oreo and coffee Oreo. We thought the texture of the apple caramel crumble was a bit icy/gritty and not as creamy as the other flavors

What a cute little ice cream parlor in charming Historic Wethersfield! Delicious ice cream, with a plethora of flavors (I recommend the Blueberry Pie, if they have it available). It was fairly priced, in my opinion; $4.50 for my one scoop, plus an additional $1 for the fancy waffle cone instead of the normal cone. Friendly service. I will definitely visit again!

My wife had the Cold brew float (with vanilla ice cream) and ofc I had the Cookie Monster ice cream on a waffle cone. If you are a coffee lover you would for sure enjoy this. You can ask for a shot of espresso for $2 more. The Cookie Monster was delicious, not the best I have ever had but creamy and soft. Had a very smooth texture and just enough cookie pieces inside the ice cream. Please make sure you bring cash as they only accept that or Venmo as a form of payment.

I happened to be in the area & had heard of Main St Creamery...& that they have vegan options...so I decided to give them a try. It's located in a quaint little area, in a cute little blue w/white trim cottage-like structure. I didn't know/realize that they were strictly cash/Venmo & have an ATM inside. Generally I don't support businesses that are cash only🧐... bcuz who actually ever has cash on them these days??? 🤔 But somehow I happened to have just enough for a healthy sized taste of all four flavors available today. {I really wish that businesses would stop doing this practice...makes me wonder about a few ethical issues...AND I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to get "robbed" at ANY ATM {a.k.a. fees} so really hope businesses rethink this strategy. So bcuz of THIS I knocked 2 stars off, as cash ONLY is a HUGE inconvenience..& i don't want to be "forced" to do either of the other 2 "options"... otherwise I'd given them a better score. But today they had: Cookie Dough, Vanilla, Chocolate Peanut Butter, & Chocolate Vegan "ice cream" 🍦 If you've never considered and/or ever had vegan "ice cream," you're DEFINITELY missing out!!! This "ice cream" is flavorful, creamy & tasty! I wouldn't have it everyday, as my scale would laugh at me daily. 📈🤣 They also had 3-4 sorbets, which I decided to skip today. But even those sounded delish...from what I can recall of their names...pink lemonade something, coconut, & ??? But again all sounded very tempting! If/when they drop the cash/etc only "options" I'd like to come back...but that's me!

I had always heard such great things about Main Street Creamery, and I’m glad I finally had a chance to stop by. They had a great selection of flavors, and I thought it was such a good idea that they offered an option for ice cream flights! I was struggling to make a choice, so I was happy to pick four flavors that I really wanted. Old Wethersfield’s Main Street is really charming, and it was nice to sit outside the creamery and look at the old homes, and of course, the scarecrows for the Halloween season.

This is a great little shop serving ice cream made locally. The staff was very nice when we visited. The number of flavors available can be a bit overwhelming, so just take your time and find one that speaks to you. As other reviewers have mentioned, they only accept cash or Venmo, which is only a minor inconvenience to help a small business avoid credit card fees.

A beautiful homemade ice cream shop reminiscent of New England village comforts! They have such creative flavors like the butter crunch and their innovative homemade whipped creams! Best ice cream in CT! The part of Wethersfield is very beautiful and very New England with all the nice stone and brick sidewalks, and it’s an especially nice place to be in the fall when the leaves are orange and the whole town does everything up for Halloween and there’s decorations everywhere— it’s surprisingly very hopping for a suburban city!

Cute neighborhood. Tons of options and everything on the menu is great. Rotating speciality flavors make regular trips a must! Favorite special so far is the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake. 🥤 They do not accept credit cards. Bring cash or use Venmo at checkout.

I stopped in here with some friends after dinner and was excited to see all the options. The parking was easy and the place had tables inside and outside. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because they don't take credit cards. But the ice cream was inexpensive at $4 a scoop.

So yummy! Great pricing! There are so many flavors to choose from--I found myself so indecisive because they all looked so yummy! Vegan options are offered (coconut milk base) as well as sorbet and macarons. The macarons were delicious! Each macaron is $1 each. In terms of payment, the creamery takes Venmo and cash. When we visited, they did not accept card, so just be prepared to have either cash or an activated Venmo account. Of course, this may change in the future--just wanted to give a heads up. There's also a nice little seating area out front as well as park benches down the block. Highly recommend!

WOW- Totally worth a detour of the highway to stop here - it's literally about 3 minutes from the exit and the line is OUT THE DOOR. Not only did they have amazing ice cream and baked goods, they have both VEGAN and GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS... including CONES! WOW upon WOW - Beautiful little New England town and gorgeous summer stop to remind you of the historical roots of our great country. The downtown looks like you time-travelled back to the 1750s - It's clean and so fun.

Love this local ice cream shop. It's in a beautiful part of old Wethersfield and I come often. They have a variety of flavors and they rotate constantly. Taking a star off though just to warn that depending on the employee you get determines if you'll enjoy your experience or not. Most of the time I am satisfied, but there are times like tonight where I was given literal ice cream soup the size of a small when I ordered a medium. I've had other experiences that are mediocre, but mainly great ones.

I don't know how I came upon this creamery a year or two ago, but I'm glad I did. One of my fav spots to get ice cream. Two of my fav flavors are maple walnut and toasted almond. Have cash on hand or Venmo ready to pay for your goodies. They also have an 🏧 just in case. Enjoy!! 🍦 🍨 🍪

Got a cool t-shirt and the staff is very friendly. My family said the ice cream is great here. Has a lot of different items and flavors. I need to stop myself from going here everyday. It's just too good. The weekly specials are always a nice surprise too. Loving Dole Day as well.

Great little ice cream shop in this beautiful neighborhood. The ice cream was delicious! The area is gorgeous with lots of very old beautiful homes. It's a great place to get and ice cream and go for a walk. There are sidewalks so it's very safe. You can take a walk to the Wethersfield Cove. A beautiful spot at the end of the road.

Very good ice cream place the flavors and toppings are very good. Today I went (very busy!!) I ordered the PB Dream I had PB nightmare last time very interesting experience! I put hot caramel and PB sauce my mouth exploded with flavors of delicious goodness. The PB chunks made a very good taste to the ice cream I had a very good experience and will definitely go again highly recommend going there very worth it.

Love this little place. Been coming since our kids were very small and now they are teens and late 20's. Good ice-cream, friendly service, plenty of flavors and generous portions. You can get the one scoop choice, get 2 flavors and have a hard time finishing the cup because the portions are large. A very nice summer treat!

Great service, excellent flavor selection and they have dairy free options too! They also serve coffee and tea. The atmosphere is inviting and the location is perfect. You can grab a cone and walk through Old Wethersfield, or sit outside on the porch or out front and enjoy the people watching. There is also indoor seating. There is a bathroom for patrons. It's a cash or venmo only establishment and there is an ATM on site. Oh and the fall flavors are amazing! Just tasted their pumpkin gingersnap and fell in love!

They have too many choices. I settled on Swiss Mocha Almond and it was sooo good. For those that remember Friendly's then you'll remember this as a popular sundae. I recommend. Parking can be difficult so keep that in mind. Would go back again.

What a fantastic place. The ice cream was amazing. The staff was friendly. The owner was nice enough to tell me about the towns history on the street while I was in town staying at an Air B&B nearby. Just when I thought ice cream couldn't any better. This ice cream reminds me of gelato. Just slightly more denser. And happiness is felt and seen within a foot of this place. I wish I knew about this place from the beginning of summer. The servings are ample. The workers all greet you with a warm genuine smile. And there are doggie treats at the door too. This is a great small town ice cream shop. They have a good selection of very good ice cream and reasonable prices. The location is great in the historic center of Wethersfield. It's a quaint little shop in Wethersfield that serves one of the most delicious ice-creams in and around the Hartford area. The shop looks very nice both from outside and inside. All the ice creams are locally made and they taste amazing. If you are in the Hartford area it's a must try place for desserts.

Love this place! They have an awesome variety of flavors and they aren't skimpy on their portions like some places have gotten.
