Ice cream is very good and the outdoor seating is nice, but there are areas to improve. I HATED the parking lot. It's gravel and it's in shambles. You need to be careful when walking or driving through it. The places also does not take credit, which I always hate since I don't carry cash. Finally, the mosquitos are miserable. The foliage & flowers are very nice, but I suspect it's contributing to that problem.

We went very late, and there was a bit raining!! Ordered coffee, blackberry and cheese cake. Love the blackberry flavor the most. Do prepare cash, they do not take credit cards. However if you do not bring cash, they have ATM by the side :)

Busy little joint on a Sunday afternoon. You can order a cone and watch the peacocks, fancy pheasants, chickens and roosters in a small barn yard atmosphere. Soooo good! I had a scoop of apple caramel crisp ice cream, it was almost like eating cold apple cobbler. We are just passing through, but if we lived here, Bloom Hill Farm could be addictive!

Hey guys, if you haven't already been to Bloom Hill Farm you should stop by now. It's a beautiful view watching the animals. The area is clean, the owners and other staff are very friendly and polite. The ice cream is natural with a delicious taste. I love mixing my favors so I had Strawberry mix with Rum Raisin, and of course a pint of Grapenuts for later. I am already planning my second trip.

Fresh home made ice cream. Make sure you get cash. You will often see big lines there. Before covid you could even see the farm animals while you enjoy your ice cream. They had a very nice System to provide contact less delivery during covid. It's always nice to stop for a scoop and its so big that you don't need anything else to eat !

Great ice cream, fun spot. But we were not happy to see the fancy pheasants that were caged nearby trying to beat each other to death. One was bleeding and distressed, but nobody seemed to pay attention. It’s neat to have the animals on sight, but not if they’re not being well cared for.

It's less a farm and more a series of rusty cages and derelict fences. Service was good and the ice cream was average, though overpriced. They don't accept credit cards which seems like it should be illegal, but at a minimum it's a bad business decision. This place just needs some renovations and modernization. It can be done without losing that rustic charm they seem to be going for.

We go here several times this summer for ice cream it's always fantastic! I believe they use pralines products right now because of the pandemic they're doing a drive-thru they're two lines that go around in a circle you pick your ice cream and then they bring it to the car they're very efficient and the line moves pretty quickly. I highly recommend going there especially if you have kids, it's nice to not have to get the kids out of the car and wait in a long line. after the pandemic is over I hope they continue this and they don't go back to the old ways because it really is a nice way to go and get ice cream with your kids

Ice cream is homemade. If you have a soft stomach, this is recommended. When you pull out your spoon you can tell it wasn’t sitting in a freezer for thirty days. And after, you can look at peacocks, unique pigeons, ducks, probably etc. Prices are fair.

One of my very good male friends took me and my husband here...LOVED IT!!! Not just for the ice cream (which was scrumptious by the way. I got a double scoop of coffee and pistachio) but the farmyard is absolutely stunning. It's like a botanical oasis with llamas and peacocks everywhere.

Best ice cream in the area. Run by a wonderful, friendly couple who've been dishing fan favorites for years, this is the place to go for a cool, delicious treat. Be prepared for a wait (well worth it), though, as the line can get long... especially on weekends. Excellent milkshakes, and their pistachio ice cream is sublime.

Cash only! Parking and lines can be tough in summer during peak hours. There is quite a variety of flavors and toppings, including unique seasonal offerings. The ice cream is good, but not phenomenal, and the waffle cones sometimes taste a bit stale. There are also some really sad looking animals in pens in the back to entertain kids.

One of the best parts of Connecticut is all the local ice cream barns. This one in particular is one of my favorites. It’s owned by a nice couple. The ice cream appears to be homemade. The flowers they put out every year are beautiful. The atmosphere is fun too, next to all the birds and animals to look at. The only downside is that they don’t take credit/debit cards. It’s stopped us from going several times. It’s 2019 and super easy to setup over phone, wish they would do that rather than money grabbing ATM. If they ever change, will edit and bump to 5 star.

Ice cream was good. There are llamas, sheep and peacocks but customers are not allowed near the animals; you can only see the animals from the deck area, which was too far for decent pictures. The man scooping the ice cream wasn't wearing gloves while holding the cone--should have asked for the ice cream to be in a cup instead.

Everytime I come to Bloomfield to visit my mother, I stop here to get the cheesecake ice cream in a waffle cone. It is very delicious, sometimes I get greedy and get extra scoops. I highly recommend this place and this flavor. The virus made them change how everyone gets served, there doing a good job getting all the orders filled.

I think this is just known locally as the ice cream shop. Ice cream is solid. They serve hard and soft service ice cream and offer sundae options. Service is prompt and courteous. Bloom Hill Farm is located right off Cottage Grove Road, but there is a huge sign by the farm advertising their ice cream. Parking is free and there is outdoor seating. There is a cute little caged in area that has parrots, chickens, ducks, and some other unknown birds species, lol. There are other small animals too. A nice place to visit for families with young children.

If you can withstand the smell of animals, then you would love it here. The ice cream is amazing. You will not be disappointed, but prepare to wait in line which move very quickly.

I love almost all the flavors of ice cream, especially the cheesecake and coconut ice cream...they have some little animals to see with tables outside, good to take kids and eat ice cream one afternoon...what I don't like, it doesn't open on Mondays, It only accepts cash, but they have an ATM, on weekends there is a very long line and every year the price of ice cream goes up.
