Sweet Action/Frozen Matters was delicious. The staff was great and the Brownie with Ice cream was delicious. The atmosphere was also amazing. We had some outdoor seating that was fun and enjoyable. We also found it impressive that the staff are paid without tips. They pay the employees enough to sustain employment without the need for tips. Good for you! We will absolutely visit again.

Loved the garage door entrance. Went for the speakeasy but it wasn’t open until later in the day. We grabbed the butterscotch ice cream, which tasted just like it sounds! & the milk & cookies ice cream which was really good!! Peach cobbler ice cream was my favorite! It literally had cake in it! So fresh & fancy. Staff was helpful with samples too.

Found this awesome late night ice cream shop, while visiting Denver. They have plenty of vegan options along with dairy choices. I got the vegan milk and cookies in a cake cone. Soo good. Enjoyed the vegan margarita sorbet flavor I tasted too. There was indoor seating which is helpful with the cold outdoor temps. I love that they pay their workers a living wage with benefits, not depending on tips. Appreciate the company's ethics, the vibe, the options, and late hours. Will be back!

Yummy!! We had dinner at Colorado campfire, and finished the evening here. While we were in line we saw people waiting to get into the freezer…odd, right? Then we realized there is a speak easy back there! We would like to come back and check that out next time. The ice cream was great, we sampled a few choices and once we made our selection we sat out in the private green houses on the patio. They had cute ambiance and decor. A great spot to finish the evening!

The store is nice and clean. The lady were nice to let us test most of the flavor they’ve got to offered. Tbh, I didn’t like almost all of them. I was under pressure to get one so i got the matcha which is alright. I feel like it’s too “healthy” defeating the purpose of getting sweet treats. Not my cup of tea.

Great choices if your vegan or if you like wild flavors. Really lacking in standard, classic flavors and anything chocolate or vanilla related. Shakes are hit or miss and so are the sundaes. Wish this was more consistent with better flavors cuz the place is really cool.

After a really loooongggg day(14 hr day), we craved for ice cream, this place was like 20 mins walk from the hotel we were staying, but sadly we reached there after the closing time, the staff were really friendly there, they saw us and accepted to take the last order, kudos to them🎉, they really made our day. The ice cream here is very tasty, realized that they are made from locally sourced ingredients, this place is definitely on my list to visit again when I am in Denver next time.

These guys are killing it! Amazing ice cream! The only reason we're at a 4 instead of a 5 is because the flavor selection is limited. However, the flavors they do have are on point! Leopold's Absinthe, Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Dough (that's one flavor), Grapefruit Ice, Gramma's Cookies, V for Vanilla, and some others. They have a window into the kitchen where all the ice cream is made. That is really cool! Definitely a fun place! They are pricey, though. But, they have Beer Floats!

Overall impressions: really loved tasting all the flavors, and I adored the attention paid to making us a fantastic flight!

Whoa. Frozen matter really left an impression on me. Clean, well lit space, happy vibe and friendly service. Delicious and unique flavor combinations all made in house! Plenty of street parking around the block, and a nice park a couple of blocks away in case you want to enjoy your ice cream on the go. Worth checking out!

Visiting Denver from LA and went with a friend to Frozen Matter to get ice cream tonight. And we were both really impressed with the counter clerk, Ariana. The place was packed, and she was the only one on duty. And even though there was a large amount of customers, she managed everything calmly and made sure that each customer received exceptional service. She was genuinely delightful. And the ice cream was equally amazing. Ten stars ⭐️

I frequent this place. They have a fun selection of flavors and a large part of their menu is vegan which I think is really cool. You aren't allowed to tip because the employees here make a living wage. Don't forget to check out the hidden speakeasy in the back. Unique cocktails in a fun low key environment.

I just read a review where someone said this ice cream shop has changed hands & is no longer good. I’m a huge fan of frozen matter Ice cream which was what this location was for years. The only difference is they bought sweet action ice cream out. I met the owners at the wash park location 4 years ago & took home pints because it was good. The ice cream didn’t change at all. In fact, at this location, it’s the exact same. Frozen matter bought another ice cream company but still makes the best ice cream. Hands down, this is some of the best ice cream in Denver colorado. Definitely come see for yourself.

Loved sharing this fun ice cream flight with a good friend! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The flavors are unique, intense, and true to their names. I enjoyed the cold brew and vegan orange honeycomb the best.

We had the butter pecan and taramusu ice cream that was delicious. They have 3 specialty alcohol drinks but you can get. It is dog friendly as there are outdoor seats and over all cool atmosphere.

The best ice cream place around I swear. We recently moved into the apartments upstairs and make trips at least 3 times a week lol. They have GREAT vegan options, too. Anything you get will be amazing. Ask for a brownie warmed up and your favorite scoop on top!! To die for!!

Awesome experience. I didn’t even sample any flavors, picked earl grey, single scoop, in a cone, and it was 10/10 recommend. So great I’ve been twice in 3 days. Also - great outside seating in mini green houses which would kill 98% for taking a girl on any first date.

This place rocks, the guy working there rocks! I brought my son in around 9:300 at night in below freezing temps to be Greeted with warmth and some amazing frozen awesomeness. We were definitely there a bit late for ice cream so they were out of a couple things which actually made me happier because that means they make everything daily and tend to run out later in the night! The guy helping us rocked marking other suggestions which all turned out to be perfect as we walked back home and I heard my kid let out a noise of joy I haven’t heard in his almost 11 years of life. There ice cream, service and atmosphere all completely rock and your missing out if you don’t try it at least once!

I am not leaving a bad review, but please hear me out. I am not sure who's bright idea it was to remove the ability to visually see the flavors of ice-cream, but whoever you are, you should be ashamed of yourself for locking up your precious ice cream. I would love to understand how you decided reading names written on a chalk board is more impactful than walking in and being able to visually see what you are ordering from a rainbow of delicious ice cream. I love your ice cream, but after this last round of ordering ice cream that came out completely different than the name you came up with on your menu I have decided that you can't be trusted to name your ice cream appropriately and I therefore demand you bring back the visual showcase of your delicious ice cream. What a absolutely unique experience in Denver. The ice cream is from sweet action ice cream. The staff was blazed but friendly. We will be back. Don't forget to check out the incredible bar that is hidden through the freezer door.

Went to this little gem on a Saturday evening after a dinner downtown and was very pleasantly surprised by the selection and flavors at Frozen Matter. Offerings look like the metal containers one sees at Italian gelato shops, but they're all ice cream. Prices are normal for this part of Denver and servings were surprisingly large!

I work for a tourist company and one day my passengers asked for some ice cream. Well I found this little gem on google. What an awesome place. The ice cream and shakes are so yummy. Plenty to choose from. And if you're vegan that got you covered. I will always suggest this place to my tourist if that want something sweet to eat. Thanks guys for being available. I love Frozen Matter! Very happy that I live across the street from this establishment. I am shocked some of the reviews say that this place has average ice cream. AS IF. On what planet is this place average? It has creative unique flavors, as well as some classics. I have been going here since 2016. I've never had bad service and the flavors are so good. My husband and I always go together, or bring family here, and we all generally get the same size (2 scoops in a cup I believe) and the amount we each get seems pretty consistent. There are even vegan options which are sooo good! I'm not vegan and I often get their vegan selection just because it's so yummy. There's just something about this place.

Frozen Matter is one of my favorite ice cream shops in Denver! If you swing by in the fall, the pumpkin ice cream is one of the best pumpkin flavors I’ve ever had and a MUST. They have a unique assortment of flavors and the ice cream is definitely creamier / thicker than normal! The milk and cookies flavor is my other go to as they usually have it year round. On a really cute street to walk on while you eat your ice cream or they do have some tables outside when it’s nicer out.

Each time I come here the staff is great and the ice cream is even better. As scoops or a milkshake it's fantastic. I look forward to going back! The only downside is the limited seating available. But in summer they have the large garage door open to the outside and makes it feel much larger.

Great ice cream here! The interior is trendy, and the staff is incredibly friendly with good advice on flavors. They have waffle cones and cups, and they also have a few flavors with booze in them! They're also open a bit later than their competitors, so this is definitely the place to go when it's a bit later in the evening.

I like this place usually. This last time they didn’t have many flavors for scooping and though I was kind the scooper was mean. I was given the option to purchase a pint but it wasn’t made in house and I didn’t like it very much, which was a bummer. Hope it hits back to normal soon!

We went a little crazy and did the 6 scoops for ~$10.00. It might've been way too much ice cream for the two of us, except they were mini scoops and it was all so good! The pumpkin ice cream had pie crust in it. 🤤 Yes, please. Also, why doesn't all ice cream have pie crust in it? There are a few adventurous offerings on the menu. We went for the green chili. 😜 It's exactly like it sounds. Weird. Lol. But a mini scoop was just enough for us to have a funny story to remember about the cap of our awesome date night.

Excellent ice cream. Hard to go wrong when they have their own pasteurizer and are therefore able to custom make the ice cream bases (custard) for each unique flavor. I had the matcha caramel and coffee after tasting through their flavor offerings. Everything was delicious. Will be back!

Peppermint shake was delicious. They've got a nice selection of cocktails and some craft beers which was a shock to me as I was coming for ice cream and apparently a speakeasy in the back. Flights of ice cream for about 10$ and the ice cream is dope. Friendly server when I went, and she even tolerated my incessant small talk.

YUM! Gourmet ice cream yes please! Whiskey Barrel Smoked Cherry Pie is the flavor I had-wow! Lots of fun flavors, too many to choose from really! Cute little space with outdoor patio, shaded and in a pleasant walkable neighborhood. A bit pricey for one scoop, but totally worth it taste wise.

Ice Cream! Who doesn't like Ice Cream, especially in the hot, hot weather!? My husband and I wanted ice cream, so we searched Yelp! for ice cream, and found Frozen Matter, so off we went. WOW! We love Frozen Matter ice cream! Love this ice cream! The interior is bright and cheery, with a large garage type door that is usually open, as it just invites you inside, to taste their scrumptious ice cream. The floor is hard cement, and there is nice music playing in the background, which is not too loud. The ceiling is high, with exposed pipes. There are quite a few places to sit down inside, as well as outside. We usually enjoy our ice cream outside in the beautiful, although hot (lately, very hot!) Denver weather. So far, I have had the following flavors: coconut cake, jasmine caramel, smoked cherry, and butter pecan flavors. I can't say that I have a favorite, as all of them are good. The service is very good, and the ice cream is delicious, yummy, melt in your mouth, WOW!, I want some more now, ice cream... you get the picture. Oh, they make the ice cream on sight, which is even better! Parking is on the street, and it's not too hard to come by either. The neighborhood is the Uptown Neighborhood, and it's a newer area, fun to walk around. There might be a line when you get there, but service is quick, and it's worth the wait. Frozen Matters, to date, is my favorite ice cream store, in the Denver area. I'm planning another visit again soon, so save me a waffle cone won't you?!

Ice cream selection is a little slim, and you won't see a lot of traditional flavors, so this may not be for those boring people out there that don't like new and interesting things! What they do have is amazing ice cream and wonderful service. 10/10 would recommend this place to friends! Brownies are also absolutely delicious. Very soft and fudgey.

The best ice cream shop in Denver! They always have unique flavors, and they seem to rotate them and change things up often, which is super nice. I love that they do beer floats and sell the cutest merchandise! You always see people getting ice cream during the summer and yet it never seems too crowded. Ice Cream made right in the shop! You can even see them making the ice cream through a perfectly situated window. The flavors are off the wall and delicious. A scoop is really 2 scoops here which adds to the value. I prefer this little shop over Cold Stone ANY DAY. Pro Tip: Check out the Speakeasy!!!

Couldn't have lucked out more moving in just around the corner from this little gem. Their flavors are really creative (although 9 times out of 10 I'm going with the knotty caramel because it's just so good) and pricing is really great. Go with the single, which is really two scoops - and you can't go wrong with the milk and cookies, either. Still need to try their ice cream sandwiches, which have a much more fun name than that (wafels of some sort). Pro tip: you can sample any of the flavors, which is awesome!

Last week I called earlier in the day to see if the bar was open, the women said yes and when it opened and so my friends headed down there for a double date night. As soon as we got there, the girl was cold and rude to us the entire time, like we were taking time out of her day. Oh and the bar was closed. Why didn't she tell me that morning when i called. It was a huge waste of time. The place itself is really cool and I love the art and where it is located. But the employee kinda ruined the experience, not sure we will be going back anytime soon. The alcoholic milkshakes were pretty strong though, that was nice.

Cool funky flavors and actual spoons for tastings! Definitely 2 thumbs up for making the effort to being eco friendly. The stroop waffle sandwich is big enough to share and delicious. Two liquor infused flavors when I went. Street parking can be tricky but worth the visit. They have a patio area to sit and enjoy while people watching.

Exceptional selection of ice cream and cocktails the staff a friendly, and know a great deal about spirits and the art of making drinks. Although the location is small which is great for small gatherings of 4 or less it is not recommended for larger parties. Over all great place for a date but not for a party.

So many ice cream places in this city have what sound like great unique flavors then you taste it and it's disappointing. Frozen matter is not one of these places. Every flavor is excellently crafted and deliciously executed. Hands down the best in Denver.

The dude milkshake .... Absolutely amazing added a shot of rum it taste so good. Also tried a dude Sunday "the dude" ice cream with molten fudge and toasted marshmallow on top!!!! All the ice cream we tasted was full of flavor and had good texture we just both liked "the dude" best!!!

I havent been in the shop for awhile but I can tell you that I have never had an unpleasant experience there. The staff is always friendly and patient which is very helpful when you consider I take geminis with me when I go. This by far is my favorite ice cream parlor in the metro region and I always recommend it to anyone who asks. I was skeptical about the cost the first time I went but quickly learned that the expense is well worth the satisfied feeling I get from fresh ice cream with none of the effort needed to make it. The best ice cream I've ever eaten in my life. Hands Down. Go there. Get a pint of the Milk & Cookies. You'll never have anything as good as that. Everything is organically sourced and hand made in small batch. This is the way that Ice Cream should be made. With ingredients as fresh and recipes matching the freshness and colourful flavours, there is no other ice cream parlour in Denver that remotely comes close. Ever had rhubarb ice cream? What about Rose? Pineapple Peppercorn? All of these flavours are genius and work magically together and you will not find those flavours anywhere else on the planet. Top Favourites: 1. Milk & Cookies 2. Caramel Creme Brulée 3. Earl Grey 4. Pineapple Peppercorn Both of the owners are wonderful people and their passion is reflected in the time, care, and flavours that they put into their product. Nothing else like it in the state/country/planet/solar system.

You have to imagine opening up an ice cream shop next to one of the premier restaurants specializing in desserts is a tall order. Frozen Matter executes their ice creams beautifully, and as I learned from chatting with the staff, they are one of the only shops that crafts their own flavour bases in Denver. They have a naughty (alcohol infused) and nice menu. Innovative combinations on the naughty menu such as bourbon lavender and chocholate stout are executed with deft balance and the texture of the frozen treats are spot on! My favourite place for a frozen treat in Denver so far.
