Very delicious home made ice cream with a large selection of flavors. I highly recommend getting a sundae to share with your special someone. Then get as many toppings as you want as there is no limit. The inside was kept clean. We stood outside on the patio in the shade. Would gladly return.

One of the cutest ice cream shops in Denver! Great tasting ice cream with a wide selection of styles and form. Their Oreo Double Stuff was to die for! Great for families! The aesthetic is fantastic and they have a big wall of merchandise

Superior tasting, high-quality handmade hardpack ice cream that is scooped by friendly counter associates at a small but charming shop. Lucky neighbors. Several flavors were nut-free options. We really enjoyed the Mexican Chocolate which softened fast but had a sensational flavor, the Olde-time Vanilla, Raspberry chip, and chocolate. We partook outside at the standing tables but they also have indoor seating. Delightful murals on both side exterior walls. Has a small parking lot off the busy street.

My young niece is obsessed with horror movies, scream being her favorite. The cake designer out did themselves with this design. She loved it and it was absolutely delicious. Will be keeping them in kind for many occasions to come.

Great 🍨!! We were passing through and this place came up as a top 3 ice cream place and we went in to find more than half of the ice cream flavors were missing because their cooler went down, however there were still 10 flavors to choose from. The two we ended up with were double stuff cookies and cream and the dark chocolate cherry 🍒 The cookies and cream tasted so fresh the cookies were still crunchy! Hubby said it was the best cookies and cream he's had and he really enjoyed that it wasn't a vanilla based ice cream. The chocolate ice cream in the chocolate cherry might have been the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had. Too bad we were just passing through! Truly great quality, friendly staff and nice little outside court yard to eat it in!

I had a custom ice cream cake made at Nuggs and it turned out AMAZING! The flavors were delish (coffee and vanilla) and the design was so cute and well done. I told the team that my friend liked card games and they went big! This cake was so yummy, super adorable for a custom-designed look, and it was really easy to work with the Nuggs team. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for an awesome ice cream cake!

I love this establishment’s ice cream and normally the service, too, but tonight the service was disappointing and below the usual standard. I even provided a tip for the worker that was providing the subpar service and didn’t get a thank you or have a good night or anything…even after thanking him for idk what now. 🤣And we all know how awkward it is to say thank you and hear nothing back.😩 Will come back again for the ice cream but I hope this is notated for future service experiences for guests.

First time here and they’ve earned my ice cream loyalty. First off, the service from the crew that was working was awesome! Great personalities from the entire team and the sample sizes was how it should be, girthy and really got the pallet tasting the entire flavor profile of the ice cream. The ice cream flavors in itself were great! I had the double stuffed cookies n’ cream and brofinger in a waffle cone. Absolutely a shop that knows how to give a serving that makes you feel well fed and leaving satisfied. 💯 stand behind this place. Thank you, and what an awesome crew you have serving you customers!

Great experience! I got a strawberry blonde taco with hot fudge and whipped cream and it was great! The ice cream especially was amazing. Very unique flavor I’ve never heard of before. The atmosphere is so cute and they have an open outdoor patio where you can eat but the inside is closed due to COVID-19. Great experience overall!

this place is great they have a lot of selections on ice cream and ways to prepare it everything from in-store cones to Sugar cones if you're not sure about a flavor you could always ask for a sample everything is made in store and it's just borderline great also not too pricey and I feel is very affordable and great value. The employees are very nice and quick to help what highly recommend this place

I could not have been any more satisfied with my visit a couple weeks ago. Portions are gigantic and there are a lot of interesting flavors; they even had blue moon ice cream, which took me back to the time I lived in the Midwest. The other flavor pictured is banana cream, which is like a banana cream pie but in ice cream form. I was very impressed, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

The guy working behind the counter was kind and helpful. We got a double scoop cup with cheesecake and chocolate cherry. I am normally a chocolate or nothing type of gal. I appreciated the cheesecake scoop more than the chocolate. Super creamy and not too sweet. Tasted just like a piece of cheesecake in ice cream form.

This place is wicked cute, so inviting and has amazing ice cream too! Triple threat and then some. Friendly staff, neighborly atmosphere and fun decor all add to the extensive ice cream menu which includes larger than life ice cream sandwiches and an absolutely sublime affogato (If you love coffee more than ice cream as I do - this one's for you!).

I am SO IMPRESSED. Decor is adorable, their flavors are amazing (literally 100 Oreos per bucket in the cookies and cream and the strawberry blonde) and their holiday flavors are on point. Service was also impeccable! The 3 guys there were so nice and really gave us the royal treatment when they found out it was our first time. Highly recommended!

This is a great little find! First off they sell my favorite coffee, Pablo's. Secondly, they are open until 11 in the summer. Amazing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. They have some personality and seem like they love their job. Just a great place to go. We will definitely be back!!

I first found Nuggs when I lived off Elm St, almost across the street from them 5 years ago. My dog and I would take weekly walks to get ice cream and sit on the patio. Even living 10mins away now, they are my fav 🍨 and my go to when I'm needing some scoops! My guilty pleasure is a triple scoop with Double Stuffed Cookie's n' Cream, Pablo's Danger Monkey Coffee and Salted Caramel 😋

Words do not do justice to the feeling of warmth and welcome that I feel at Nuggs. Since learning of this shop, I have been a loyal customer. I bring in every person I know to come experience the delight that is Blue Moon ice cream. Blue Moon is a Michigan flavor, but Colorado’s Nuggs does it better. My feelings for Nuggs are nothing less than love and kinship. The staff knows me by name and remembers my preferences. It’s hard not to, since I go there every chance I get.

This is the cutest little place. Major ice cream shop vibes, perfect date idea. The ice cream servings are huge and the lobby is very comfy. The only downfall is they offer no dairy free or sorbet options. But otherwise super cute and highly suggest.

Nuggs is a neighborhood staple, no matter what time of year it is. Portions are generously scooped and staff is always friendly. Some flavors are icier than others, but the Key Lime Pie is stellar. It’s not a year round flavor, so stock up your freezers when summer ends!

Nuggs Ice cream was delicious! The staff were so funny and friendly! I really loved them, you can have great ice cream but if the people serving you are not kind that defeats the purpose. They were awesome! And gave me a super large cookie and Oreo scoop more than what I deserved! My wife had the birthday flavor! Great ice cream spot with lots of flavors/toppings/varieties of sugary sweets! The staff is friendly and all ice creams are made in house. They had 1 vegan ice cream flavor (selfishly I wish they offered more) but my dairy friends said their ice cream was completely delicious. My only suggestion would be to offer more dairy-free items, but all around a great spot in Denver!

I’m in town for the week and decided to pop into Nuggs based on the 4.7 average review. I ordered the Rocky Mt Chocolate & Amazing Joy (I believe those were the names) & was very disappointed. The Rocky Mt had a terribly unpleasant texture/flavor to it and the Amazing Joy was rubbish as well. If it were based solely on the “goods” I’d give it a 1 star. However… My boys enjoyed their ice cream and the two ladies that served us were attentive. A couple employees were just hanging around and goofing off in the back though which wasn’t professional. I will be looking elsewhere to satisfy my sweet tooth for the remainder of my visit.

Excellent service with a marked smile! I had the housemade lemon Italian ice and it was delicious! Our service was excellent and carried our quickly without feeling rushed. The rest of our motley crew had varying varieties of ice cream equally delicious and when one of them had a cone emergency the staff was right there at the ready with a spoon and cup. Definitely worth the trip and I will be returning!

Nuggs has amazing local ice cream. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They offer samples of their flavors and many options including dairy-free choices. Their cookies and cream is a vanilla base ice-cream but it has so much Oreo in it the ice cream looks and tastes like chocolate - best I've ever had! Mint chocolate chip is my favorite kind of ice cream, Nuggs' is not green and has great flavor - best in the city. Seasonal flavor Love Potion is super fun and tasty. Note that they are open until 9pm in the winter (1 hour earlier than they used to close) but 11pm in the summer!

I actually wrote about my experience here, but am not sure what happened to that part???....Well, anyway, my experience at Nuggs Ice Cream was WONDERFUL and DELICIOUS!!! The staff were extremely friendly AND helpful as well as patient considering I was having such a difficult time deciding what to get since EVERYTHING looked SOOO YUMMY!!! I ultimately decided to go with the recommendations given to me by both the staff and the other lovely patrons that were clearly regulars. Those happened to be the Cookies and Cream (seems to very much be a favorite across the board) and the Strawberry Blonde. Both flavors were AMAZING! I look forward to going back and trying more of there many other sweet ice cream treats! They have a great selection of classic with a twist flavors as well as thier own unique creations. I can't imagine anyone not being able to find something that they'd love, if you truly are an ice cream lover, at the shop! 🍦🍨😁👍

I eat a lot of ice cream. A lot. I’ve mostly moved on from Sweet Cow, spend entirely too much money at Little Man and blow through a half gallon of Blue Bell about as fast as my Jeep blows through a tank of gas. Nuggs has it down. Interesting selection, great flavor and consistency. And I never thought I’d find a better banana pudding than LM’s, but there’s doesn’t hold a candle to Nuggs. Worth the 30 minute drive for sure.

This place serves up interesting flavors of ice cream. The decor is simple but features comical portrait art and a patio. I got the maple walnut flavored ice Cream and now crave it constantly. I can say they did an incredible job with Staffing and training... their staff is what actually keeps me coming back. Eating ice cream there alone doesn't seem so lonely. With smiling faces and conversation with staff :)

Went there for the 1st time and the guy working was so friendly and helpful. He gave me a sample of every flavor because I told him I didn't know what I was in the mood for. When I decided he asked where we lived and when I said we just moved-in down the street he gave me a loyalty card with all the stamps so my next visit I could get a free ice cream. Such a great 1st impression! This company has it right: have a product that makes people want to come back, but have staff that ensure they do. Highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem in Denver. It looks like an everyday ordinary ice cream shop but they have some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted! They have an assortment of flavor and some of them are very creative! My personal favorite is Strawberry Blonde which is Strawberry ice cream with Golden Oreos inside! The staff is very friendly and it has a cheerful atmosphere. Covid-19 update: They are currently as of July 8 doing cones as well as pints however their indoor dining area is closed.

Service on point! The staff were super friendly and helpful. We tried the blue moon, which tasted a bit like fruit loops, but opted to go with the toasted coconut. I'm a sucker for coconut ice cream, and this one was great! Lots of coconut flakes in the scoop I had, and my brother-in-law, who is picky with his ice cream and flavors, loved the pint we got for him. The ice cream we had was definitely on the creamier side, and the scoops are huge!

I can’t wait to come back to this place. The employees/owners are so sweet and have customer service down to a tee. I went here with my husband and two little sisters just over a month ago, and between the 4 of us we must have tried 20 different samples. Not at one point did any of them bat an eye, and after we all sat down to enjoy the ice cream (queen bee was my FAVE), one of the employees came up to our table and just put a malt in the middle of the table. He didn’t even say a word, just walked away all sly (; we dug in and it was delish!

the ice cream was amazing! it was very creamy and the chunks in the cookie dough was plentiful. the ice cream was delicious however, the customer service i experienced was not as good as the ice cream. i asked for a cup, the man assisting me angrily picked up the cup and handed it to me. the whole time he didn’t even look at me. this was displeasing and rude. if the customer service was good as the ice cream, i would have given this place five stars!

This is the best place for ice cream in all of Denver. Has the feel of a Mom and Pop place and all the ice cream is very high quality and tasty. The parking lot gets tricky when people are at the Irish Bar, but the ice cream is worth it! Great for a date.

Peach mango delight i think was the flavor it's their newest seasonal peach flavored ice cream with mango chunks and it was amazing literally eating it while reviewing it's that good! Also super nice workers excellent service the guy that helped me apologized for being unable to do samples but offered to try and describe the flavors and that which this one included refreshing which is definitely true!

Best ice cream in Denver. Best staff in Denver. These guys are always in a good mood, make you smile, remember you, and somehow make waiting in line fun. That's not easy to do. I'm still surprised at their pricing every time I checkout. I would expect to pay more for what I'm getting, but their pricing is very competitive. Definitely give these guys a try.

They nailed it so hard at this spot... from the ice cream, to the name, to the bike rack full of kids' bikes... the whole thing is a home run. Ice cream was no BS... no junky stabilizers or unnecessary additional ingredients. That let's the flavor shine. I'm a chocolate fiend and all thee chocolatey flavors were spot on. Not too sweet, they let the chocolate shine. Loved the signs - each flavor had its own sign and they were great. Nice touch. I liked everything about this place. Since I shop down the street at Verde Natural you can bet I'll be back. What a great spot.

The place is very nice has a great atmosphere. The menu board can seem a little complicated but it's just a bit distracting. There is always a variety of things you can get from here you can get shakes or ice creams but there are lots of options. The only bad thing is that it is expensive but that's what there doing they don't sacrifice quality. Great ice cream place 10/10 would recommend hope I can come again.

This an old fashioned ice cream parlor. It is pretty awesome. Crisp and clean atmosphere and non dairy (i.e. coconut milk based) alternatives make this a great dessert spot for everyone. Cones, cups, shakes, malts, and even frozen novelties are what's on tap, and samples are happily encouraged.

Amazing, awesome, an oasis on Colfax for all those lost and bedraggled. Found it by accident, best accident of my life. I thought at first that I was in a Twilight Zone episode and that it would be gone the next time I arrived. Spoiler alert- IT WAS STILL THERE. They're very accepting of loud conversations, and their prices and customer service are great. The atmosphere is cheery as can be! Come to Nuggs! Park Hill has a new and apparently only ice cream shop.The outside seating and patio are nice. The wide benches are comfy. There are tables and umbrellas as well. Inside is plain nothing special. There is no signage to identify the flavors. There are some nostalgic-looking stickers above the counter, decoration or flavors? The staff is nice with quick service. The ice cream is blah at best. I tasted several flavors and they all tasted the same. Blah. I ended up getting chocolate and reeses in a cup. The chocolate had ice crystals on it, so just before being freezer burned. The reeses had mini and sparse imitation peanut butter cups inside a blah vanilla ice cream. The ice cream neither tastes fresh nor homemade. It tastes like it came out of a machine and a pre made packet. Sorry, but I wasnt impressed. Yay, an ice cream shop in Park Hill. Boo, the ice cream is blah.

Twas' a warm afternoon on September 15th. Dinner had been finished when I looked over at Bae and stated the obvious, "I want something sweet." After constructive arguing, the theme wafted of... ice cream. I regressed to a dark memory of a dust-old cone (too hard to bite comfortably) with heavy chocolate and creme at Cold Stone leaving me filled with regret for having allowed overworked, under-paid teens, to serve me a corporate mutation of a desert. We got the car and I look over at bae and say, "maybe we can get desert at the grocery store and pick up things we need as well... " feeling defeated for hopes of a nice place for desert. But, a braver soul in me turned left onto conflax and then right into Nuggs. We walk in and... it was quiet, not busy but not awkward. A gaze at all the flavors, still doubtful for my hopes... I tell Bae go to first. I try a flavor, and another. Not heavy and just the right amount of sweet. My mind immediately goes to "cup" when I hear Bae take the initiative and say, "Cone Please." A coin drops in my mind. I think to myself, "how foolish of her" when I see the young worker begin to make a fresh cone from batter. Baffled, my inner-child begins to surface from what felt like darkened abyss. Ignorant bliss fills my head with possibilities and wonders of the world when I respond to the attendent, "...yes, cone also..." 5 minutes go by and I'm at cone-ice-creme level when I take a bite and am baffled by how light and complementing the cone is to the flavor and I feel a youthful-like exuberance fill my sensations in a way desert never has before. Within 10 MINUTES, it's gone... I enter my house lay on the bed where Bae and I had constructively argued before... Happy, that I live in a world with Nuggs.
