Super yummy ice cream (made fresh on location) and a great outdoor sitting location. This place can get very busy so expect a crowd. We were lucky and arrived when there were just a few people in line.

This company has been open since 1976. Parking is a pain and hard to find. They have classic flavors as well as ones I never heard of before. Customer service was average. The ice cream was average to above average. They have outside seating. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Photos of this place tend to make it look like it’s always impossibly busy with long lines. Those incidental photos do lend testament to how great the ice cream is, but there are also plenty of days and hours in the year where there is no line and the ice cream is just as delicious. Great service, amazing variety, top quality.

Wonderful ice cream and friendly staff. They don't offer samples, in an effort to create less plastic waste, which I can appreciate. However I think they could get bamboo spoons and offer samples. All the same, the ice cream was delicious so you probably can't go wrong, no matter what flavors you pick.

The two flavors that I tried (birthday cake and apple pie) were pretty good and the waffle cones were yummy, however I feel that the cost is a bit high for what is received. Inside Scoop is better quality and value overall, even though Liks does offer a more diverse flavor variety. I'd recommend Inside Scoop over Liks.

Gorgeous mom & pop style ice cream 🍦 store. Plenty of flavors. Great location next to a park. Not all the flavors are available. Pint flavors are not available in scoops. Otherwise it’s a 5*. Quality is great!

This is the best ice cream I’ve had so far in Denver. It’s not too sweet but also not too “not sweet” like a lot of ice cream shops nowadays. The girl working about 1:30 on Saturday was super friendly and immediately came over and greeted me when I walked in. She also let me know they will do 2 different flavors in a single scoop, which is awesome for an indecisive person like myself! They also have a nice shady patio with a few tables, and is easy walking distance to Cheesman Park. Perfect little spot!

Great flavors but fyi they only have chocolate in pints and not available for cones or cups. Lady serving ice cream was super rushed and was not wearing gloves or mask and yelling at everyone where to stand in rude tone. But its located in the middle of a neighborhood and a good stop for neighbors or passersby after a dinner somewhere else.

Awesome icecream spot, with lots of options. Never had a bad flavor or experience here. Small little patio with a few tables as well as some inside. Pints ready to go in the cooler are too tempting to pass up. Definitely recommend giving them a try! The whole block smells like freshly made waffle cones..very hard to resist.

So many flavors to choose from, but be prepared for a wait! Friendly service and they even have gluten free ice cream cones, which I've never been able to find before! It was such a treat. I let the woman know I had a gluten allergy and she got a new scooper and let me know if my choice was GF. Ice cream was great, cone was great and I couldn't even tell it was GF. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Denver!

Sad I didn’t try Liks until recently since it’s walkable and delicious. They have a wide variety of ice cream flavors and the person working was super polite in telling us about each one. I’m sure they frequently get asked what each one is so I appreciated that he took his time in explaining things and letting us order. I got a waffle cone dipped in chocolate and sprinkles and it was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good ice cream.

My journey with Liks begins on a red eye flight from Denver to Indianapolis, where I first received the recommendation for this place. I was not disappointed. The ice cream is delicious, the flavors are diverse and interesting, and the staff is extremely friendly! I could not ask for more in an ice cream store. I purchased a double scoop, which was honestly too much ice cream as the serving sizes were very generous. I love this store's proximity to Cheesman Park. If you find yourself enjoying a nice day in the park on a Saturday afternoon, I highly recommend heading over to Liks to cap off a perfect day.

Possibly the greatest ice cream I’ve ever had! I’ve loved all of their flavors — from “bear in the woods” (vanilla ice cream with honey and graham crackers) to salted caramel (I don’t usually love salted caramel, but this had amazing chunks of delicious caramel and was sooo creamy!). They’ve impressed me most with their cotton candy! I didn’t know cotton candy ice cream could taste so much like the real thing! It even had little chunks of it. Just a single scoop transported me back to a fair and made me feel like I was taking fluffy, mouthwatering bites out of freshly spun cotton candy. The prices are pretty awesome too. My go-to is doing half a scoop of two flavors, which is really more like two full scoops. And I love that their flavors change each week!

I love ice cream, but I'm also extremely picky. I like ice cream that is rich and creamy, without being overly sweet, and Liks delivers consistently. They have a wide variety of flavors, and we haven't found a bad one yet. So far, this is our favorite ice cream parlor in the Denver area. The only downsides are that they currently aren't doing hot fudge and they don't do ice-cream cakes.

Liks, where the staff is always friendly, is a small, neighborhood, ice cream shop in the Capital Hill neighborhood that offers an amazing variety of ice cream flavors along with other tasty ice cream treats. Wether you put it in a cone ( they have several cone options) or a cup you will not be disappointed. The only, minor, downsides are limited parking and seating. Do yourself and check out Like.

I couldn't decide on which flavor so I got 3 scoops in a cup. The peach tasted like an actual peach, not that artificial peach flavoring. Pineapple upside down cake had a perfect balance of pineapple and spice. The fluffernutter reminded me of the sandwiches I used to eat in high school but frozen which was the perfect lunch treat on a hot day.

This place was pretty good! We got the S'mores, Texas Turtle, and Cheesman, and they were all pretty tasty flavors. The service was good and the location is cute and convenient. Parking can be a bit tricky, but not terrible!

Denver has a lot of great ice cream shops to visit. This one is our favorite by far. Their selection of flavors always has a good variety to meet most tastes. They don't get all uppity with their flavors trying to be trendy or cool. They just make really good ice cream. Their outdoor seating area is always fun, bit pretty limited on space. There is usually a line, but it also usually moves pretty quick.

Coloradans approve of this amazing homemade ice-cream. I have been going here since I was a kid. Still the same great ice-cream. Amazing flavors. I can't decide on just one flavor to recommend. They change every so often. I do love: Black Gold, cookie dough, cotton candy, Bubble gum (with real gum pieces), and amazing sherbet. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Mom and dads it's a great way to bribe kids if you need an incentive.

We had been craving ice cream for a few days since we arrived to Denver. After searching for good places on Google we decided on this spot since it had the best reviews and boy were they right. They had an abundance of flavors and my kids absolutely loved the Huckleberry and birthday cake. The lady at the register was the sweetest lady, best customer service I have ever received. Friendly staff and cool street corner location with old brick siding make this an ice cream shop feel like a sweet blast from the past. Great flavors, great taste....only thing I would say is they should consider pricing differently. I know GOOD ice cream costs more, but my one scoop was about 4$ w tax and my bf ordered 2 scoops in a waffle cone and literally got about 6x more ice cream which took him way longer to eat it all ( he could barely finish and i was just staring) and his was only like $2-3 more...kinda unfair

A neighborhood institution that has been in business over four decades. The hand dipped scoops are delicious. Lots of flavors to choose from. I sat outside as their indoor seating was closed for COVID. Worth the visit. I think parking can be a challenge. There are a few seats outside. Street parking only.

I can easily recommend this ice cream shop. They have great ice cream with some very unique flavors. When you walk in you are immediately hit with the sweet smell of cream and sugar. The people behind the counter are friendly and helpful, letting you try any flavors your sweet tooth desires. The flavors rotate often but the classic favorites are almost always available. Try the tropical fudge for a new twist on chocolate and the peach melba for a super fruity treat. These guys do ice cream right, give them a try.

The ice cream here is so delicious. They have tons of unique combos and they are all homemade. This place is a gem. Service is always great and friendly and you never feel rushed even with a long line of people. They will let you make your way through the massive menu so you get exactly what you want. The line always moves fast and all their staff is trained so well and can answer any questions you may have. Outdoor seating is so nice and can get a little messy because people don't know how to throw away their own trash but the staff always promptly cleans is up and empties trashes regularly. Patio is also dog friendly. Highly recommend this place.

I'm lactose intolerant, but I live life like I'm not, because I'm just a dangerous man with nothing to lose. This place serves, as you can imagine, ice cream. But not just any ice cream, I'm talking about really good ice cream. Ice cream full of delicious lactose, creaminess, and excess sugar to shut your spirit and will off in 1.7 hours. Cool place.

Everyone talks about the overrated and overrun Little Man Ice Cream, but I think Liks is far better. It's got a small neighborhood feel rather than a urban one, even though they do have both classic and trendy flavors. The handmade ice cream here is super creamy and smooth, not at all icy like Little Man can be. Scoop sizes are generous (you can also order a single but choose two different flavors) and be sure to opt for a homemade waffle cone. The line can get long on warm nights.

Love this place. The wife an I used to come here when we lived downtown every so often. We loved those walks with our dog around the town with our favorite flavor in a cone and a sweet grin. Now our kids have made it a favorite too when we visit the old neighborhood.

The best ice cream in Denver. I drive from Littleton to get this sweet treat! Some grown up flavors like a stout or Jack Daniel's flavoring make this interesting. There are very good classic flavors but none are the same once the bucket is out. They switch in a new flavor. Always guessing and never missing a flavor to satisfy my palate.

Love this ice cream! Wonderfully smooth, creamy texture and good favors to choose from. I had the S'mores and Chocolate Raspberry Mousse and loved them both! If you've ever had Handel's ice cream, I feel like this is very similar. Handel's favors are a bit more in your face, but I felt that Liks was very satisfying.

The 4th star is mainly for customer service. The owner and her employees are fantastic so it's a pleasant cheerful place to go get ice cream. But the ice cream isn't anything special. The quality is decent but not any better than buying some dreyers or something from the grocery store. But when you dress it up in a beautiful sundae like they do, who's noticing? It's walking distance from me and it's nice to have around on hot days. They do have pretty good waffle cones. I've only had the gluten free waffle cone and it was great, that's no easy feat. I'd say stick to sundaes and waffle cones and you'll be satisfied.

We were told that this place was one of the best in town. To my husband and I, it was decent. I wouldn't say the best or the worst. It's a good afternoon snack. If this is your first time here, there's more ice cream to see/try on the other side of the register. We made the mistake of stopping right at the first set of ice cream options once you walk in. Funky flavors available: Jack Daniels whiskey, Mexican chocolate, etc. I am giving a 5 because they had all the amenities that you would want for a local ice cream stop: friendly staff, homemade cones/ice cream, and clean location. There were seats available inside and out with a bathroom inside.

This place really has delicious ice cream! They usually close around Christmas for a couple weeks; if you bring them a container the week before they close, you can get it filled at a discounted price! Open noon-9 in the colder seasons, and in the summer they'll close at 10. I have a bad gluten allergy, but as long as I don't get any flavors with gluten in it (like cookie bits, etc.) I don't get any reactions.

In a city filled with lots of good ice cream it's hard to stand out. That's what's so nice about Liks though. They are like an old friend. You don't necessarily expect them to stand out. You expect them to be dependable, honest to you, and good for the soul. And when they do stand out, it makes you feel special that you know them. Liks is all that and cone full of ice cream. Bonnie Brae set the standard in town for the go to ice cream place back in the day. I still highly recommend a visit there as well. But Liks took it that extra mile and was the first I can recall to start experimenting with the off the wall flavors. First it was the Cheeseman Cheesecake flavor. A must try. And then there is peach. Which has a special place in any locals heart because of the Palisade peaches. Wait for it in July or August. And get it with the blueberry if you can. That is a combination that will you take you far back as a kid. And stop by Liks any chance you get.

First off I cannot imagine how busy the location must get on a normal summer day let alone one where 100k+ people are in a 2 mile vicinity. I didn't get her name but the young female Asian employee was absolutely fantastic. It is refreshing seeing teenagers with not only a wonderful, positive attitude but also hardworking with a great work ethic. She scooped us one quart and one pint as if it were nothing! Not to forget she was sincerely kind and funny. She has great things coming in gwr future!

The ice cream was good, but the employee with a man bun and bad facial hair helping us was awful. We asked for a vanilla malt and he said they didn't have any, so we got chocolate. He seemed very inconvenienced and was rather unfriendly. After he took forever to make the chocolate malt, he forgot to check us out and we stood there until we told someone else that we still had to pay. Then we realized he didn't even put malt powder in the chocolate malt, and that they had vanilla in the other freezer. Would go again, but would refuse to have that guy help us.
