Reviews of Bonnie Brae Ice Cream
Kevin F
Tried a quart of the mint chocolate ice-cream and it was pretty good. Price was decent for the portion and it was kinda fun ordering from an old school shoppe. Stayed fresh for a long time as well, just tried it after months in the freezer and YUM!
Amber Hale
Delicious ice cream and sorbet! I had the peach sorbet which had delightful small chunks of peach throughout 🍑 My friend had Oreo which had huge chunks of Oreo and got a lot of praise. My only complaint was they still aren’t letting people go inside so that was a bummer, it was chilly out and the chairs were all stacked away too. Will definitely go back in summer!
Diana Smith
When we drove up, there was a line for ice cream. This has to be good, right? Well…. It was fantastic. Not just good. All of the ice cream is made on the premises. It’s creamy and not overly sweet. I had the Bordeaux Cherry with chocolate sprinkles. That’s another thing that’s great about this place - chocolate sprinkles. There are floats, sundaes and other delicious treats. Flavors change every day. Servings are generous. There are a few tables outside - all orders are from a walk up window. Go, stand in line, you’ll be glad you did.

A classic ice cream shop in Bonnie Brae. They have a lot of flavors to choose from including a couple vegan/non-dairy and sorbets. It's still got the classic diner/ice cream parlor look. When we went on a Tuesday night the line was way out the door so be a bit patient. But the line moves quickly and it was worth the wait.
Bernadette M. Martinez
The scoops are HUGE and inexpensive but the flavor is a bit off in every one of the six flavors we got (and unless they actually put cinnamon in carmel apple, one was entirely wrong but not worth a wait in the looooooooooooong line to rectify). The ice cream is very rich and creamy and both of us felt a bit off later in the evening, probably bc we tried so much of it. Not a bad place but not one that we're going to go out of our way to go to again.

i love this place so much! the ice cream is so good and i go there so much! i cannot stop going, it’s addictive. the cupcake is so good! excited to go there again next time! 💗💗(btw this is cupcake flavor with rainbow sprinkles, star sprinkles and a sugar cone! <- highly recommend! …
Jay Finesilver
Iconic local place. Great ice cream. Many families. Consistent and scrumptious.
Julia Janocha
Fantastic ice cream and good prices. Plenty of classic and newer flavors. Had the Salted Oreo and the Grand Marnier Chocolate Chip, easy to see why they're award winning! Street parking is available but is very limited.
Steven Yackel
Bonnie Brae ice cream has been a hot spot of ice cream in Denver for a long time. I always remember driving down University as a kid and wanting to stop there. Now that I have the car keys I can make sure that we do just that.
I think that the line is just something that you have to prepare for when you are headed to Bonnie Brae. I was thankful that I was able to get a parking spot pretty close by, so I tried to be patient in the line. While the line seems to take a while, when you are standing at the ice cream counter, the staff is working hard and moving quickly.
It had been a long time since we had visited so I was impressed to see the size of the single scoop in a cup. The ice cream was smooth, thick, and creamy. We were all happy with our choice of flavors and were able to find a bench on the south side of the building to sit and enjoy our treat. If you are in Denver and want to tour ice cream shops, Bonnie Brae is a classic and offers great ice cream.

I’m already thinking about the next time I want to return ! I enjoyed the salted Oreo and rolled raspberry. I would recommend the lemon custard it’s very fresh and isn’t too sweet. I’m looking forward to trying the vegan options next time to compare. They have limited indoor seating and more options for outdoor seating. Great for a family, gathering of friends and intimate enough for studying or a meeting. The place smells amazing and is dog friendly!
Shania Mccain
My favourite ice cream place of all time!! Their pineapple pistachio ice cream can take me from having an awful day to having a much better day with one bite. As cheesy as that sounds, it's very true for me as it evokes memories of family gatherings and happy days when someone would bring the pineapple pistachio marshmallow salad to share. I've never found this flavor anywhere else, so thank you so much for having it and keeping it over the years. I highly recommend this place.
John Cullerton
My favorite ice cream place in Denver. Many different flavors to choose from and they are all made in house. Plenty of seating to enjoy your ice cream. The young adults who work there are very courteous and quick to service the guests. Never have had a bad experience there.
Daniel Han
awesome ice cream place! it seems that their prices went up slightly due to covid, but it’s still well worth it. Line moved fairly quickly, and flavors were creative. I especially enjoyed the pistachio-pineapple ice cream!
Brooks
Love the old-school atmosphere and homemade ice cream. Delicious flavors that seemed not too sweet like supermarket varieties. Double dip is huge!
Troy Langham
Just go. Yes.. if it is worth the line. Amazing frozen treats in a truly neighborhood ice cream shop.
Becca Edwards
Just Wow!
I had no idea this place existed, and now I'm obsessed! They make all of their ice cream in house. I had Cherry Vanilla, it was vanilla ice cream with maraschino cherries in it.....so freaking good!
Absolutely recommend!!!
Antonios Karagiannis
Tasty ice cream with usually a long line of customers waiting outside.
This place has been there forever so it has a reputation and a customer base that contributes to the long lines outside.
I wish there were more topping choices but I think they have enough ice cream flavors to make up for it.
M. P. West
Love this place: the people, AND THE PRODUCT. BUT both are equally important. Do not change a thing. Just keep being real, connecting with your customers, eye to eye. Wish I could HUG you all. With affection. Happy new year. See you on 2023, bringing us all together.
AvidKain (AvidKain)
Very good place, the staff was super helpful. Parking is very limited though.
Cat Cho
Absolutely amazing as always. I've been going here for as long as I can remember. I love the updates they've made for COVID-19. Very conscientious and considerate.
The ice cream is also the best! Its light yet still creamy. It's the type of ice cream that has the perfect balance. I also like their waffle cones because they add a lot of flavour while not being too thick where they're hard to consume. I've also never had the cones leak on me.
The decor that they always have is also super cute and holiday appropriate!
David Jordan
If you love ice cream and ice cream shops as much as I do, it’s easy to imagine that it would be hard to get this business wrong. As the proprietor of said shop, you’d have to try pretty hard to mess it up (though some do, sadly). Thankfully, Bonnie Brae is not one of those places; they are doing the ice cream business just right. Lots of delicious flavors from which to choose, friendly and helpful staff, quick service, and a festive atmosphere make for a very enjoyable visit.
Katherine Holthaus
This is the BEST ice cream I've had since I was a very young girl. Full of flavor, just the right texture, different kinds of cones or cups, different toppings, and you get huge amountsI i can't WAIT to go again. Service wasn't the best, they were some youngins, but it wasn't absolutely terrible either. Very VERY good prices btw. YUMMMM!
J.M. Serrano
This is my first time at Bonnie Brae Ice Cream and I enjoyed it. I kept seeing it and I must say the aesthetic is amazing and reminiscent of old timey ice cream parlors.
I will admit for how much I enjoyed it, I do believe it is overhyped. I would not be always in the mood to wait in a long line for ice cream. The prices are reasonable though.
I may go back again, especially in the Colorado hot weather
Sam K
The best ice cream! We were in Denver for 36 hours for a family function. We know Denver well and it was a unanimous decision to use our only free time to get Bonnie Brae Ice Cream
lana hailemariam
More vegan options than I've seen before! They had two sorbet flavors and two vegan ice creams that they home-make in-house. They were all delish. Also they keep them in a separate freezer which is cool. No pun intended. And the staff offered samples, checked ingredients and were very sweet... again, no pun intended! We went in November around 5pm.
Callie Baldwin
We got there on a Thursday night and the line was already long, so we knew it must be good! Not only was the ice cream INCREDIBLE but the staff was so friendly! All of them seemed to love their jobs and made for such a great customer service experience :) 12/10 recommend you go here and support them! Reese cup was divine ! My husband had peppermint and loved it. I don't think you can go wrong with the long list of amazing sounding flavors! They actually encouraged taste testing like they didn't mind and it didn't bother them <3
Debra Johnson
The flavors were great. The staff was great. The prices were good. I now have 3 favorite ice-cream places. Salt and Straw in Portland Or., Cow Cafe in New Bern NC., and here. Standing in line was a great way to meet new people.
Rachel Pauley
Cutest little ice cream shop that I would always drive past, and I finally stopped in. Lots of delicious flavors to choose from, and they also have some cones dipped in chocolate and nuts if you want to treat yourself. I love all the seating outside; it adds to the neighborhood-y vibe. Parking isn't too bad if you park on a side street, particularly after 6pm. Really nice quality ice cream shop!
Thoht Qube
Probably the best ice cream in Denver and they have options for vegans! Not sure how many flavors they have but it's a lot. You can also get cupcakes and whole cakes.
Russell Poulin
This is the best ice cream, but we've noticed it slipping. The Triple Death chocolate is more like a 1.5 death now and the Malted Milk Balls had only a passing acquaintance with actual milk balls. The ice cream itself is great, but we are seeing shrinkflation on ingredients.
Richard Welch
Best ice cream in Denver creamy and delicious not too sweet. And the prices are quite reasonable also a great selection of different flavors. This is the only place we get ice cream in Denver a lot of other places the ice cream is just sugar too sweet.
Nick Groh
Friendly and delicious! Many unique flavors and it's awesome that they make it on site.
Alexis Haynes
Amazing. If you haven't been here why not? It's great it's local and always fresh. Yeah they might have a line. But its worth the wait. Sometimes you have to wait for something this good. Would highly recommend.
Madhu Mohan
Good range and choice of delicious ice creams. Very busy being Sunday. Staff working at super speed. Seating available. Located in a busy area. Parking is a little bit problem.
Teresa Guthrie
Marit was awesome! Told us her favorites, offered us all the add ons- gave us the best recommendations and offered amazing service! Thanks Marit, we appreciate you! And y’all have some of the best ice cream!!! 🍦 …
Benjamin White
Corner ice cream shoppe with a nostalgic feel. They make their own ice cream with tons of rotating delicious flavors. Cups, cones, and even ice cream cakes and quarts in the freezer for to-go purchase. Friendly staff, lots of outdoor seating. Limited indoor seating and parking. A Denver staple for sure.
Katie Quintero
First time to Bonnie Brae! The ice cream was a little softer than I like, but my scoops of cinnamon and Cookie dough were great!
Roberto Barrera
Nice place, delicious ice cream.
Elizabeth Brady
Great house made ice creams, traditional and creative flavors, very affordable. For a special treat, go for the banana split.
Jacqueline Perez
Ordered a banana split and a brownie (they offered to put the brownie IN it which i never even thought of for some reason), and both were just absolutely delicious. The ice cream was amazing quality, flavors were balanced, smooth, and at a perfect sweetness. The brownie alone was nice and dense, not dry at all. Loved my experience here. The person that took care of me was super nice and kind, too. Wouldn’t have changed a thing!
Chris Calvey
Excellent dairy-free sorbet options for those with food allergies. The watermelon sorbet was sublime!
Jennifer Scobee
I love this place so so much. They have the very best banana ice cream. Last week I called to see what variety it was strawberry banana I am sure it's great but not my speed. Grace was so very kind she knew the container was low so she went in the back to check the next banana flavor that was up. It was Banana Nut!! I drove all the way from Aurora and got myself a scoop. Grace truly went above and beyond to make my day. My ice cream was amazing.
Another amazing Banana Nut cone! Never disapoints
Marcello Bachechi
Milkshakes - thick but undrinkable. Get ya’ fancy spoon ready!
Apprech sweat-pant season.
Lizzie S
Very smooth and creamy triple death chocolate ice cream! Love it
John Walker
Simply the best ice cream in Denver. A great old time feel with traditional and modern flavours. Don't let it be just for special occasions or a place to take visitors.
Candy Lewis
Best Ice Cream in Town❤️ Love the Banana Split😀 …
Marc Wasserman
I went to college at DU in the 1990’s and remembered how ludicrously delicious this ice cream shop was on walks to Washington Park or Cherry Creek.
Having moved back here 25 years later, I figured it was just nostalgia and that the place - looking utterly unchanged in all that time - couldn’t possibly be as amazing as I remembered.
I was correct. It’s even better.
arshad zaheer
Delicious ice cream. Like seriously. I am a very picky eater, especially when it comes to dessert and this ice cream was just delish.
Plus a very low key hangout spot for a first date or a dessert spot after dinner.
Why Not
Regular tastes, nothing special about the ice creams there. I have no clue why it is always has a line to cashier. Most probably you get better quality ice cream from a grocery shop.
Arlita Bishop
My first time. But staff is super friendly and the ice cream has vegan selections and reasonably price.
Saphron Archer
The flavors are pretty good but they need to do what other ice cream shops do and actually push the ice cream down into the cone so it doesn't fall off.
John Burns
Ella was just fantastic! When my dog started choking on the Rocky Road, she quickly inserted the dog epipen and saved my sweet Brucie. I owe her my life, as Brucie was aggressively choking me while he was dying. Furthermore, my scoop was perfectly proportioned with just the perfect amount of love and ice cream in the same scoop. If it wasn’t for her dad ominously staring at me from the corner, I would have given a a five star review. Plus she smelled good. Amen @ellanieman slay
David Brown
Friendly staff and pretty good ice cream. Neighborhood institution. Used to be a Dolly Madison years ago
Sam
Plenty of unique ice cream flavors with quick, helpful service. Brightly lit and colorfully decorated store.
Suzy Ward
My favorite place for ice cream
Elmont Montecalvo
Great setup for covid restrictions to grab some yummy flavors of ice cream. I rode my bike there with my kids in a trailer. I was able to walk my bike & trailer up to server. Awesome to be able to get ice cream without even having to take kids out of trailer. We enjoyed the whole experience. Update: Things are back to normal at this ice cream shop. As always extra yummy ice cream.
P B
A Denver classic. Good ice cream. Little pricey and expect a wait when the weather is nice but I’m a 2-3x weekly visitor.
King Blaze
Ice cream is delicious while the staff is friendly...will be back.
Flower B On IG
Owwwww the ice cream was so so so so so so so so good!!!! Perfect little seat quick treat.. satisfaction guaranteed!
Brie W.
Awesome parlor with a nice variety of ice cream flavors & very kind staff. Has great pricing for how much ice cream you're given & cozy outdoor seating arrangements.
It was my first time going here. Absolutely is worth 5 stars. I love it here & definitely plan on coming back again. :)) 10/10 recommend going here if you're looking for a good ice cream parlor.
Kevin Ruth
Celebrated national ice cream day at this local joint. Excellent flavor selection. Ooo so creamy and delicious. Definitely my new favorite spot.
Mark Passman
A very popular neighbourhood ice cream store. Unfortunately it’s gone downhill since their principle ice cream maker retired a few years ago. The menu stays 75% with the same very basic flavours. The other 25% aren’t really my jam.
Robert Diaz
Excellent ice cream. Historic place in a great part of town.
Vanessa Manntz
Chocolate chip mint is by far the best I've ever had and the Strawberry is to die for ♥️🤌 …
Krupali Mewada
Great place during summer time of the year to have great ice cream with family. They have itty bitty cones for toddlers. I really like this place.
Edith Shangraw
Awesome little ice cream shop with a welcoming staff!! The staff suggested milkshake flavors—our favorite was the cookie dough. The child size scoop of strawberry was the perfect toddler portion and the itty bitty cone was a nice touch to top off her cup. We will be back, we were there mid morning mid week and did not encounter a wait.
Jason S
Has to be the tied for best ice cream in the Denver metro. Much love to our homies at Sweet Cow, which is the other winner in my eyes.
karen ledford
So many options and all are delicious! We both got variations on the brownie sundae.
But the venue is small so seating is extremely limited.
Courtney Swan
Reminds me of an old school ice cream shop all the kids use to meet at to hang out. Love the vibes!
Todd Elliott
No wait when we went. Lucky shot as the lines returned not long after we were eating our delicious treats. Service is always friendly
Al Martoccio
Triple death chocolate. Plus gluten free cones. Lots of flavors.
Forge Thought
Pleasant staff, amazing ice cream. Truly world class stuff. The smell do fresh sugar cones itself was a great introduction. I had their cinnamon ice cream in a chocolate dipper sugar cone with some Grand Marnier chocolate chip. The cinnamon ice cream with the sugar cone rocked. Smooth flavor, great taste. None of the cloying sweetness you get with Cold Stone or other places.
Wife had their banana ice cream and the Triple Chocolate Death, I think it was. She loves banana ice cream. And said she liked the chocolate better and that it was some of the best she ever had.
This is out of the way for us but we will 100% be back. Have to try some of the other flavors now that we know how good this place is.
Doms MX 26
This place is awesome. It gives you a feel for what being a kid in the 80s was like. The ice cream is delicious and the service is extremely friendly and quick. If your stopping by Colorado or Denver I would definitely recommend you go visit.
Anita Chang
Creamy, rich ice cream. Sorbet options available. Loved that they had the Itty Bitty option for those who want a small taste; the single scoop is a generous portion.
Chuck Watts
A busy place when we were there. Good selection of ice creams and very friendly service. Reasonable prices.
Ruth Liebendorfer
I had a double scoop: one scoop and triple death by chocolate and one scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had.
Steve “Stevie G.” Gallegos
Absolutely yummy. They have also an amazing vegan chocolate version which is hands down the best ever. You have to go here!
Esterkarl Karl
I am lactose intolerance and usually ice cream will hurt me but this ice cream didn't and the taste was so good but not to rich or creamy like others.
Kevin Mayer
Have loved every flavor we’ve tried, and our pup loves the doggie ice cream sandwiches as well!
Gigi Williams
Good service & Good ice cream. Hard to find parking though.
Ethan
Good customer service, great prices and fantastic ice cream
Nikki Nicole
Delicious ice cream! I always bring my out-of-state visitors here, and they love it! The cotton candy flavor tastes just like cotton candy. I’ve tried the cookies and cream, strawberry, coffee (yummmm!!!), lemon, cookie dough, and death by chocolate. Every flavor is worthy. Great prices for a pint, and you can save some for later.
Lee Gilmore
They have lots of flavors of good ice cream.
María R
Cute and affordable ice cream!
Really tasty too
MattMasterIII
THE best Ice Cream you can get in Cherry Creek. Amazing flavors with a ton to choose from, fast service and great Staff. A cool location located in an old Drug store in Bonnie Brae. Definitely a go to Ice Cream store!
Gabe Samson
Great place! My wife and I visited their shop during our vacation in Denver, and man was their ice cream great!! I loved their chocolate banana ice cream. Great prices, super friendly server. Would definitely come back here if we're ever in the Denver area again.
Patricia-Trisha Scott-Williamson
Awesome is the only word. A special treat and atmosphere with a 50's
feel. But better!
LeeAnn
I love coming here for truly good ice cream!! Takes me back to my childhood day's
Samantha
Fun flavors & exceptional flavor!
Gabriel Balme
Great ice cream, currently 3 lines for service, so lines move pretty quick, and an ever changing menu of flavors. Also vegan options and dog treats!
lynn burch
10/10. I took my friend to this place, and she fell in love with it!! Definitely a good ice cream place. They have vegan options too! Flavors rarely disappoint, I love the vibe of the store. Somewhere to look forward to going to all summer :)
Alex Edmundson
The ice cream was great and fairly priced. I also loved that they had a small doggie ice cream sandwhich. My dog loved it and it was less than a dollar.
Becky Onifer
My childhood ice cream shop and still the best in Denver. Tons of home-made flavors and amazing waffle cones. Great neighborhood location as well. It does get very busy in the summer but they're well-staffed and you get through the line quickly. Their ice cream is well worth the wait.
Liam McCabe
Great homemade ice cream at a classic establishment.
Traci Everett
So great - homemade ice cream in a cute old fashioned shop!
TANIA KANE
Best strawberry ice cream! Chunks of strawberries plus the creamy texture make me order it by the quart AND pick up a cone on my way home from work. Highly suggest placing online bulk orders to make sure to always have pints and quarts in the freezer at home!!
Alejandro Bermudez
Bonnie Brae is a family owned and operated place who do everything from scratch, including their delicious cones. The place feels like a 1950' slice of Americana in which time really slows down. The ice cream is great, thay have several creative options in the American tradition of "more is better". They also have healthy options for gluten free and so on
Al Lux
An endearing storefront with pretty mediocre ice cream in my personal opinion. Too creamy and heavy. If someone were to ask me I would recommend Sweet Cow's ice cream which while far from gelato is a bit closer in that direction.
Dave Boudreaux
Delicious ice cream available in a wide variety of flavors. Line may be long but it moves fast.
William Bodensieck
The most delicious ice cream place I can get! Great flavors, and super nice staff.
Cherri Morris
One of my favorites, a double hot fudge sundae with butter brickle and coffee! Bring your patience, there is usually a line and for very good reason!
Luna Hugs
DELICIOUS!! And fast service! I had cupcakes and cookie dough.
Nick Polachi
There's a great small town ice cream shop feel to this place. The ice cream is really good, and offers a wide selection of different flavors. The prices are okay worth a buy but definitely not something you want to do more than once a week. Watch out for the lines though during the summer they can be especially. During the off-season usually don't have to wait that long.
Joyce Witte
A Denver institution for good reason. Excellent ice cream, (made fresh in house) plethora of choices (where else can you get unicorn poop ice cream?) And consistently good service. (Don't let the line intimidate you.) Covid compliant with 6-ft spacing marked on the sidewalk, and three service windows to keep the line moving. Decades of success and still going strong speaks volumes!
Armando Gomez
Ordered online, unfortunately they don't have all the flavors and options online so I'd recommend ordering there in person. I got an ice cream sandwich and was good. Ice cream was frozen and not melted which is awesome. I'd recommend! Going back to try other flavors.
Karen Hoglund
Consistently one of our favorite places for ice cream! They are going above and beyond to keep their customer's safe during Covid. They've recently added online ordering which is convenient. I hope this charming shop stays in the neighborhood forever!
Patricia Sommer
Always amazing. Glad they are still open for takeout. Have been coming here for 30+ yrs. Love supporting small local owned businesses. Their ice cream, made in house is better than any gelato from any of the chains in town.
Christian Beattie
Bonnie brea is the second best ice cream shop in Denver i.m.o. the ice cream is fantastic in consistency and flavor options, plus I like seeing all the little leagers and what not lined up for a scoop.
Jason Fischer
Quaint local ice cream shop. Definitely worth a visit... just don't park in the wrong spot. 😅 …
J.D. Julander
This was a fun visit while we were in town. We aren't from Denver but visited Bonnie Brae Ice Cream based on a referral from someone. The ice cream was excellent! The staff was friendly and patient with our many children and all of our requests for samples before we decided. It was an all-around great experience!
Jason Pagliaro
I think this is the best ice cream shop in Denver. Much better than that nasty milk can one that I won't name directly. The lines tend to get long in the summer but that's to be expected and they move quickly.
The staff is pretty on-the-ball as well, especially considering they're all kids. They move quickly but never rush you. Prices are a little higher than the norm but it's worth it.
Andrew Wolf
Careful they close at 9pm not 10pm as posted on their Google profile. We got there around 9:15pm and they weren’t going to budge. Could’ve been nicer or a bit more accommodating in my opinion. We’ll head to Ben & Jerry’s instead.
Mindy McPherson
My boyfriend took me out on the town this afternoon and we found ourselves here. He’s been going here for years. Today was my first time and OMG the ice cream was amazing. My favorite part was the waffle cone. They are thick and don’t get soft and soggy on you. I will be going back here for sure!!
Hirshini von Kalm
Some of the best ice cream I’ve had
lemac
You guys should have more raspberry ice cream , is very delicious but very hard to find it
Jason Scherer
This a great local spot. They make all of their ice cream on location. The variety of flavors never ceases to amaze me. Get there early, after 5:00 PM and there is a line out the door. If you get there and there is a line, don’t worry it moves fast. Personally love the butter brickle.
J Ziegler
My best friend's mother brought me here after getting my cast removed. That was in 1997. May this place never change.
Angel K.
Best ice cream shop in Denver! The staff for 15+ years has ALWAYS been kind, welcoming, and friendly. They have a good selection of ice cream, and homemade cones. So there is definitely a flavor there for the whole family! Theres not too much space to sit. Although the area it resides in, is an enjoyable safe place to take a walk. I love feeling the nice sun rays hitting my face while enjoying the cold tasty homemade Bonnie Brae ice cream. Make sure you have a couple extra min if you're on a schedule, because this place easily has lines around the corner on most days. It consitantly has customers year, and day long going in for ice cream.
David Hassoun
Old school ice cream landmark in Denver. I hadn't been there in forever but had a quick scoop and was impressed with the flavor varieties. Would definitely recommend it. Might not be my favorite but holds a lot of good memories.
Jonathan
I have been passing by this place for years and never made the stop but finally did and wow was it amazing. Simply amazing ice cream.
Mike Whalen
Oh bonnie brea ice cream. May you stay in business slinging your frozen churned goodness forever
Ken Tucky
Ice cream was really good! I got the english toffee and the toffee was noticeable in every bite! Good serving size and good value too. I didn't manage to get a photo because I ate it too fast.
Coach Steve Toth
Great ice cream. I had the mint chocolate chip. Long lines but worth the wait. Second best in Denver. Highly recommend.
Brian Franco
Very good ice cream...the line was out the door and around the block, but it was peak time.
Steve Fine
The ice cream we all got was rich and delicious. But what I really appreciated was the exceptional service. Hannah waited on us and she was helpful and she smiled the whole time. I always like it when you give someone your business and are made to feel appreciated. That's how Hannah made us feel.
Keaton Leikam
I've been coming here for over 12 years now. Some of the best icecream around and consistent. They mix in new flavors with their oldy but goodies. My personal favorite is Butter Brickle and recommend you give it a shot.
Russ Duncan
Lovely neighborhood/city staple. Flavors are on point and they have a perfectly pleasant staff (as any good ice cream parlor should). I love the temp of their freezers; keeps the ice cream the perfect eating temp with a slightly soft texture to it.
M Cohrs
I usually love this place, but the ice cream flavors during our last visit were mediocre at best. This time we had 2 single dip waffle cones for $12
Riana
Best ice cream I've ever had and I've been eating here for years. Everytime I go somewhere else now, I am disappointed because it cannot compete at all with Bonnie Brae. There's also ALWAYS a new flavor to try and they are very reliable when it comes to favorite flavors. Even flavors I am not fond of are somehow delicious at Bonnie Brae. I don't think I will ever find another ice cream shop halfway as delicious as Bonnie Brae. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Greg Jensen
It's really good and we try to stop when we're close by. The triple death chocolate is our family favorite, but the chocolate chip cookie dough is the best I've ever had too.
Mikey H
While the place was cute, and the ice cream was good, I thought it wasn't that great tasting. If you're looking for classic, well-done ice cream, this is the place. If you're looking for new, amazing ice cream, look elsewhere.
Troy McDaniels
Great ice cream with an old town feel. A ton of flavors to choose from a friendly staff that always has a smile on their face. Lines get long during the summer, but move quickly. If you haven't been here, it's a must try for any Denverite.
Joey Mendez (Niiyon)
Little gem! definitely coming back if I'm ever in town!
Brian Buchler
Traveling in the area from out of state. If you are looking for the best homemade ice cream with a large variety of choices and homemsde cones, this is the place to go. Good atmosphere. Everyone working at the counter made us feel welcome and helped us decide on a flavor and offered recommendations. Definitely will be going back before heading out.
Lacey Peterson
The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, as well as extremely patient with indecisive customers like me. They didn't make me feel rushed and made sure I was happy with my final choice. The ice cream flavors are innovative and delicious, and they're always changing! I will definitely be returning.
Lisa Lien Read
This place was so packed on a summer night! I loved how folks come from all over to check this local and classic ice cream shop. It’s very nostalgic and the service is not only friendly, but speedy. We got a couple of scoops and some classic flavors and were immediately seated outside at a table. There was a man with a guitar playing as well which was a nice touch. It’s a super popular spot with lots of kids and adults, so if you don’t like summer crowds, then this isn’t for you. The ice cream itself wasn’t out of this world delicious, but the smell of fresh waffle cones will have you thinking dessert heaven!
Cody (CodyisLucky)
Ice cream is creamy and store made with different flavors all the time. Pricing is good too, not over priced despite the popularity. Only cons are the parking is street parking, seating is limited and the post dinner line is often out the door.
Paulette Gordon
Love, love, Love the itty bitty option. It was perfect, as was the outdoor seating. Really small shop but great service and environment.
Tandra Caldwell
🍦🧁🍨 PHENOMENAL 🍨🧁🍦 This place is an old school dream. 🤩 The ice cream flavors are beyond perfect and the prices are excellent. Support a tried and true local business and don't miss this place!! You won't regret it❣😋 …

When I was told about Bonnie Brae Ice Cream, I was continually told it was the best ice cream I could imagine. The line out the door at 9:30 on a Sunday night proved that. Literally, the line was down the street, so we decided to come back the next morning.
The ice cream is FANTASTIC, as well as the customer service. Special shout out to Chris who was so very helpful. I had a double dip, and it was wonderful. But I noticed something about my ice cream that suprised me. The ice cream was great, but the cone was the best part. Since they make them fresh in house, it was awesome. Most places have great ice cream, but the waffle cones are usually a couple of days old and quite stale. Not here. The cone was amazing, and it made the experience all that much better.
Highly recommended, but you will know that as soon as you see the place. The last thing this place needs is more fans. :)
Catherine Hamm
One of Denver's best ice cream spots! Perfect spot to cool off in the summer after a day at Wash Park. There are many flavors to choose from and the staff is friendly. The line can get long but it moves fast!
Kayla Rodriguez
Friendly service and delicious ice cream. Tons of flavor selections. The chocolate was super creamy and not icy at all. The waffle cone tasted fresh and flavorful. Been going for 20 years and it's just a fun, nostalgic place.
Valerie Saussotte
The cutest old fashioned ice cream shop. Store is very clean and the staff is friendly and fast.
Amy Cesario - Denver Realtor
Love the vegan cinnamon ice cream! I hope you can try some soon! The strawberry is awesome as well, but the cinnamon. On a cold winter night hit the spot. Thank you BBIC ❣️
happy mistakes
Bonnie Brae ice cream sells delicious ice cream. They also have a really cool way that they implemented for social distancing where you wait in a line outside, and then once it is your turn you go up to one of the 3 cashier's behind glass and order. Once you've received your ice cream you can eat it at one of the many benches outside of the store. I think this is a very efficient and safe way to sell ice cream
Joshua Cantu
Best ice cream spot in Colorado and in such a beautiful area. The variety of flavors will make your head spin and they are generous with the scoops. Not sure about a flavor, just ask for a sample. Only bummer is the parking situation, which seems to be hit or miss unless you don't mind taking a short stroll from the neighborhood streets.
K L
This is a great Denver ice-cream establishment that had been a staple for decades. Their ice-cream is rich and varied assortments of flavors make choosing the right combination a challenge. Waffle cones, plain, chocolate-dipped, candy-coated, or nut coated, stand as a popular choice. Equally tasty are the sugar cones which come in dipped varieties as well. I get my ice cream in a bowl and don't even the cone.
Valerie Zagnoli
Been here for as long as I can remember. For good reason - home made delicious ice cream! They have some adventurous flavors, plus the old favorites. Waffle cones are homemade too and 👍 …
Matt Nelson
Love the creative flavors and the taste cannot be beat! Hazelnut is by far my favorite, but I've enjoyed the Nutter Butter, Cake Batter, Toasted Almond and several others. Milkshakes are thick but drinkable. The fact that theres almost always a line out the door should clue you in that this is a happening place.
Jordon Manwaring
Ever since I moved here I was excited to try Bonnie Brae ice cream. There is always a line out the door and it has a very charming atmosphere. Maybe my expectations were too high, I didn’t find the ice cream to be anything above mediocre.
Laura M
Ice cream is the best you tasted. People are lined up and constantly coming through. Plenty of tables and they're all full outside. They have benches out there too. Great atmosphere. Eclectic people. Fantastic neighborhood ice cream shop!
Zonya Dawson
Cute ambiance, everything you have ever wanted from an ice cream shop! The staff were so polite and fun, and gave good suggestions. Plenty of choices, we tried 5 flavors and they were delicious. All the cone selections were a nice addition. The perfect way to end a summer date night!
Stephen Holst
This is one of the best ice cream spots in Denver. They have some great flavors and the line will run down the block on nice summer evenings. The staff is all young kids which always makes it fun for a place like this. There are a few tables outside which is nice too.
Ted Link-Oberstar
Stopped by this evening for a family treat. The line was long but it moves relatively fast, and was totally worth it. The homemade ice cream is delicious.
Kelly Matsudaira
Some of the best ice cream I've had in a very long time!! The staff was very friendly and allowed me to taste a few flavors before I chose the one I wanted. You can tell everything is homemade. I had the banana cream pie in a chocolate covered waffle and it was DELICIOUS!!! I live up in Broomfield and don't get to downtown Denver a lot...wish they had a location up here! I highly suggest this ice cream parlor. :)
Andrew Korson
A classic! I’ve been going here for years. Delicious ice cream. So glad they finally got with the times and got rid of styrofoam.
R 511
Cute neighborhood spot with traditional premium ice cream. They also had two vegan flavors, I wish they had more vegan flavor this day they had mint chocolate chip and coconut. The mint chocolate chip was not very minty or chocolatey.
Seating is available indoor and out. And although this place was the busiest of the 3 shops at this location patrons are not allowed to park in the parking lot and must park on the street with busy University traffic. Not the greatest if you have small kids. The parking lot is reserved for Bonnie Brae liquors.
Nick Bilak
The ice cream was pretty good. Location was cool (no pun intended.) The real standout, service. I'm not a huge sweets guy and was here as a plus one. But man, they really go the extra mile to make sure you get the right fit. I wish I cough the server's name but he took his time and answered all my questions. I could also tell that he wanted things to be just right for me and my date. Real professional and that is a rarity in today's service industry. Especially with people who are in their early 20s or lower. That service sticks out and Bonnie Brae is worth the trip in my book.
Paul Keen
This is a Denver landmark and one of THE best ice cream spots in town. There are lines out the door in the Summer. Always happy when someone says "Ooo! Let's go to Bonnie Brae!!!"
Kelley Witte
We got Dulce de Leche, Peanut Butter Explosion, Mint Choc Chip, Oreo, and Strawberry Banana between the three of us. Everything was great! We ate it too fast to take pictures 🙄
The Dulce de Leche had big ribbons of soft Dulce swirled throughout! Highly recommend, very delicious!
Tadeo Lemus
They're ice cream is really good. I'm not much of an ice cream person but I'll definitely be coming here again.
Sheila C
Oreos & Cream vegan ice cream in a big crunchy waffle cone hit the spot. Be warned: there will be a line in the evening & 98% of people didn't put their masks on until they reached the umbrellas that had little signs saying to mask up. Great ice cream cone!
Dani Arnold
The ice cream is good, no doubt, but not worth the crazy long line {out the door and down the block at 930 on a Sunday night?). The flavors in concept were great, and why we decided to go, but neither of us found the actual taste outstanding, or worth a 40 minute wait.
Bishi Das
Average at best. I think Breyer's makes a better mint chocolate chip and doesn't gouge you - I quite literally had the reaction of "this is what the locals rave about?!" This is the second overrated local business I've been disappointed with (the other being Beau Joe's Pizza in Idaho Springs). My daughter got a single scoop, and it was much less ice cream than Little Man - and not even close in quality and taste. Three stars is generous.
Nathaniel
Bonnie Brae Ice Cream is a great ice cream shop. They have a lot of great flavors to chose from, and you're sure to find one that you'll like. The best thing about their menu is that they consistently change or add flavors, which keeps things fresh. While variety is found in their flavors, it is also found in their cones. They have many different sizes (including the 'Itty Bitty, ' which is about the size of a golf ball) of cones and different types, such as cake and waffle. Additionally, they also have around six vegan flavors. If an ice cream cone isn't what you want, they also sell milkshakes, baked goods, Italian soda, ice cream cakes, along with a couple of other items. The line going into Bonnie Brae Ice Cream can be very long during the summer and spring and can extend down to the neighboring liquor store. Despite this, it usually doesn't take all that long to be served, even when the line is ridiculously long. The one negative thing I have to say is that it's almost impossible to find somewhere to sit during a busy night.
Carol Foster
Recently took my visiting son to this ice cream store because I live in Denver but never went there so thought his visit prompted giving it a try. Perhaps having lived in Boston and Los Angeles where I ate ice cream in many unique holes-in-the-wall ice cream stores, made my palate more sophisticated. It was a Sunday so there was a line into the store but it moved fast. Unfortunately, while the texture of the ice cream was perfect - hardly any air, heavy, dense and didn't start to melt once it was scooped and placed in the bowl, the flavor was absent. I bought two scoops in a bowl. The Amaretto Peach was so bland I couldn't differentiate between that and the Vanilla scoop I also ordered. My son agreed that while the scoops were frozen solid and very dense, the flavor was basically absent. I think Tillamook ice cream is just as good and I can get it at King Soopers without waiting in line.
Sarah Caroline Mueller
VEGAN ICE CREAM FTW!!! The chocolate was incredible. Surpassed my expectations!
Mario Lurig
It's a small, busy shop, but they always have tons of staff to help. Ice cream flavors are unique and top notch. Pro tip: you can get a single scoop that is made up of two half scoops; no need to order two scoops just to mix flavors!
Anantha lakshmi
Excellent ice cream options. So fresh and tasty that you cannot stop with just one scoop. Amazing options as well. Huge variety and unique. Service/staff were great as well
Josh Rosema
We stopped here for ice cream recently and it was very tasty! I haven’t had a butter pecan that good in awhile.
Scott Mills
Great original flavors and friendly service!
Doug Hobgood
Simply a wonderful flavor explosion and decent prices. Customer service was great. Attitudes were very appealing.
Paul Merrill
Simply the best ice cream in Denver. The flavors are always changing, since they make fresh batches daily, right there. Mexican Chocolate is one of my favorites. Cappuccino Crunch runs a close second. On a warm summer's night, there will always be a line out the door - for a good reason - it's worth the wait. The shop is small, so you may have to take a stroll with your waffle cone.
Shelia Reynolds
Just recently found this ice cream shop. And so glad i did because they have my favorite flavor here..lemon custard. It is delicious and its a flavor that is not very common, so glad i found it. Love the shop and the staff are so friendly.
Natalie Plaszewski
I believe our ice cream expert's name was Molly? This was the first time that my husband and I came here and we really enjoyed it. Parking is kind of a mess, but we were fortunate enough to get that VIP parking right out front. Molly (I hope that's her name) was very patient with us being newbies to Bonnie Brae ice cream. I took her recommendations on getting two flavors as I could not decide on one - I was not disappointed whatsoever. She provided excellent service and we were very grateful. Thank you!
A Gallaty
Delicious! Exactly what I wanted for an employee's birthday cake--pretty and absolutely delicious! The crunch is always the best part and it appeared to be moderately crushed Oreos--yum! Plus, A customer service. When I needed a copy of the receipt, it was two weeks later when I asked, but the manager got it to me the same day. Same-day service is so rare, but everything here was on-point.
Chris Keirnan
Close to my house, and lots of flavors to choose from. Line moves fairly quick, staff was very friendly. I was impressed with the gluten free cone option. Everything look good, and the flavors were creative with a mix of traditional. I will return for sure!
Mitchell Simpson
Ice cream is so good. Always a line when we get there, and often a line out the door. Waffle cones home-made every day make the perfect addition to these giant scoops.
hunter burns
Always delicious. The staff gives you the biggest smiles even behind a mask. Always clean. Great when I gotta tug a date or my little brother around! One of my favorite parts of Denver!
Yogi Ji
The new order system is much more efficient then pre-covid days. Three windows and a scooping team behind them. You get the delicious creamy ice cream much faster then the old way of crowding in the store and the inpatient people trying to cut the line. I found one good thing out of the Pandemic. ..Ice cream in my mouth quicker
Alexandra Jackson
My mom and I adore this place. It was our weekly treat to come get ice cream there. I personally have had ice cream in many different local shops and this one is by far the best. I adore their coffee. BUT WHY DID THEY GET RID OF THEIR VEGAN SOFTSERVE?? 😭😭 I'm so sad. My mom is allergic to dairy and it was so nice for her to finally have a treat she really enjoyed! Now instead they have weird flavors (like bannana??) And they're going to be changing their vegan flavors all the time. That's what all the other local ice cream shops do. We loved that Bonnie Brae was different. They always had a basic but delicious vegan vanilla and chocolate available. Their new vegan flavors made my mom sick and we're both so sad! Please, Bonnie Brae, consider making a simple option for vegans that you always have available.
Matt Thomson
Outstanding location and decor. It's just a cool place with a cool vibe. The ice cream however is not great. The flavors themselves were pretty basic, and I thought it had a little bit of an odd to taste to it.
Kevin Micke
Small, locally-owned shop with extremely delicious ice cream. When we lived relatively close we would often stop by, and now that we don't, we still head over now and then because it's amazing. There's often a line, but they manage to get everyone through the door quickly, and they're always very friendly.
Jhenn Whalen
The perfect spot for a summer treat. I loved painting the outside of it - everyone is always friendly.
Vroon Adventures
What a quaint little shop! You can smell the sweet aroma from outside. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional. The ice cream and cookies are homemade. Yum! Try the butter brickle. It's delicious.
Alia Lohrmann
The teens working behind the bar had more interest in their conversation than in working. Took 10min to order and we were second in line and there were 4 people standing behind the counter talking and only two working. Okay ice cream but nothing special, no outstanding flavors or anything that makes them different.
Ezhi Subramanian
Great ice cream place. Friendly staff
Roland Haas
Always fantastic ice cream. Hopefully they start letting people back inside soon.
Eric Basco
Really good ice cream, and generous portions. The feel of an old-time ice cream parlor. Beware, it can get very busy on the weekends.
Waffle cone of vanilla and lemon custard is my favorite!
Michele Sahling
Best ice cream in the entire Denver area. Butter Brickle is their absolute best flavor. I drive 30 minutes one way to get my ice cream here!
Tricia Weir
Always a favorite when in town and the ice cream is delish! My dog likes to.come with me too and doesn't mind waiting while I'm inside. Only better would be an official doggy hitching post.
Matt Birnbach
Very high quality ice cream with lots of good flavors and the banana split was well made! My wife had her FIRST BANANA SPLIT EVER with me here and loved it.
Aaron Standing
Ice cream was tasty. Not necessarily the best ice cream I’ve ever had, but it was quick and hit the spot.
Holly Noel
I finally tried their ice cream after many years. I definitely recommend it! They have all sorts of different flavors and they are home made. Staff was efficient and friendly.
Wednesday
Local favorite, we went based on the reviews and have been back several times. Always very busy but they do a good job of getting customers taken care of. Lots of options in terms of flavors and toppings, cones, shakes. Also have kids sizes. Good place to take the kids. Limited seating.
V Iyer
Very nice icecream with great varieties. Would appreciate if they made no sugar , but not with maldoxrin sweetener, would be a nice addition. Very prompt service.
Chris Antoline
Bonnie Brae is one of my favorite ice cream spots in Denver. They always have a sorbet which is usually what I opt for. That said, I rarely go without seeing something new I at least have to try. It can get busy, but that's how you know it is good 😁 …
Chad Gutersohn
Always great service and ice cream
Olivia Wright
My favorite place to do for a quick little date any time I’m in the area. I love their flavors and the staff is always quick and friendly.

Good ice cream with lots of fun flavors! Heavy loud traffic in front where the outdoor seating is though.

Adorable little ice cream shop with some amazing flavors!!

I have a soy allergy and every time I come in here to get some ice cream, the staff is super nice about it and really helpful in finding something to get.
Also, one guy that works there is a flavor combination GENIUS.

If you consider yourself an ice cream fan Bonnie Brae needs to be on your short list whenever in Denver. Incredible ice creams, wonderful selections, great staff, fun old-style environment. Simply the BEST. Keep up the great work!
A Google User
Classic ice cream parlor. Packed every night in the summer. Homemade classic ice cream flavors. Nothing tricky. No basil, pepper, mango, chip. Just great traditional flavors in a deep cream base. Grand Marnier chocolate chip is spectacular.
A Google User
My family loves this place! A wide array of decadent icecream flavors to choose from, paired with great service everytime we go.
If you are ever in Denver, you should definitely visit.
A Google User
The line out the door tells you it's popular, and if it's popular...it must be good, right? I ordered 2 scoops....1 cookie dough, 1 oreos and cream. The cookie dough scoop was tasty but hardly had any cookie dough in it. Like if you buy a pint of Ben and Jerry's, you can barely see the ice cream cuz of all the cookie dough. Here, you could barely see the cookie dough cuz of all the ice cream. Still, it was tasty.
On the other hand, the oreos and cream was absolutely loaded and A+ flavor. Worth the wait.
A Google User
Delicious ice cream and old school feel. I mean $.35 coffee!!
A Google User
Always the best in Denver, a can't miss if you're really into good ice cream! Now open with indoor seating and ice cream is still fantastic!
A Google User
This neighborhood shop makes their ice cream in house daily! Their products are all Kosher and organic. The line during the summer is usually out the door but the authentic charm of the shop and the quality is well worth it! The Butterscotch Chocolate is off the hook!
A Google User
Very well known Ice Cream Parlor in Denver, Colorado and is for good reason. Many delicious flavors and always a helpful staff!
A Google User
Great! Super attentive staff! Busy but fast!
A Google User
It was great. First time. I had peppermint and it was full of chunks of peppermint. Delicious. Only thing u have to have patience. Very long lines but worth the wait. Friendly staff. Enjoy.
A Google User
I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid. This is by far the best ice cream in Denver! The rotating flavors are always fantastic and the staff is super friendly.
A Google User
I just wanted to give a shout out to Bonnie Brae Ice Cream for being so awesome! I noticed today that my purchase a week ago was double what it was supposed to be. I called them up; The girl who answered was extremely polite and professional. She was able to quickly reverse the charge. I was very pleased and most definitely will be coming back!
A Google User
Amazing flavors. I had ginger spice. It had pieces of ginger in the ice cream. I loved it. I have never been to Bonnie Brae when it wasn't busy. They have the best ice cream.
A Google User
Always great ice cream and pre-covid, very charming ice cream parlor. Friendly staff. Love the variety of flavors. Miss going inside because of covid. Hopefully soon!!
A Google User
First time and it was great, decent pieces.
A Google User
A popular destination in an upscale neighbourhood for hand crafted ice cream. I appreciated that the focus is on smooth creamy ice-cream infused with flavour, rather than the run of the mill commercial approach of mixing bits of cookies or other stuff into a vanilla base.
Melissa Orozco
Ice cream tastes great! Lines stink but I mean who loves a line? Always fun to take the kids.
natalee briscoe
The ice cream is decent, but there’s not great parking. It’s a cute shop for pics and such, but don’t expect a lot from the consistency or flavor of their ice cream. There are better places with better prices
Sam Moldo
Had two vegan flavors. Tried the Almond Joy and it was absolutely delicious. For vegan and non vegans alike, this place has plenty of unique, delicious flavors!
Kim
The best in town. They have lemon custard the best I've ever had. Sooo creamy and rich. Lemon custard is so hard to find. The best.
Tanya Cardwell
This ice cream store hasn't changed in years. Teenagers as staff, which is how this type of industry should be. Live music during some peak times. Take a walk in beautiful Wash Park afterwards.
Chelsea Lewis
Best ice cream ever! We love this neighborhood institution and have never been disappointed. Their flavors are delicious and made fresh every day!
Jennifer Griffiths
Amazing ice cream as m and worth the wait
Melissa Snobeck
Best ice cream parlor in Denver!! I have been coming here for the last 18 years and will continue to do so. Chocolate is my favorite, you can’t go wrong!
Russ Means
Butter Brickel ice cream is devine! They are doing the best they can due to covid. Walk up windows were easy and efficient. The staff was very friendly.
Zoey Wyn Nelson
Lots of flavors to choose from and consistently good quality ice cream. The udder budder was the best 🥜 ice cream I've had. …
Lisa Waechter
We are regulars here and I am always impressed at how they move people through quickly and efficiently. There are plenty of flavors to choose from and lots of seasonal options.
What keeps us coming back again and again is the itty bitty size for my two year old. It’s just the perfect size.
Rach B
Our favorite ice cream in Denver! Also sells doggy ice cream treats which our pup loves.
Liliana Martinez
Went looking for homemade ice cream and saw this llave and the looong line, which made me think it had to be good. It was super good. Had the chocolate which is dark and bitter and my husband had the triple death chocolate.. to die for. Liked the fact that they had many cone sizes.. even a itsy bity size.
Dominic Enyart
Nice employees for sure but the ice cream tasted somewhat bland. It could be that I just got a bad flavor so try it out, but this location isn't a "must go."
Joseph Moore
Always a great stop. However with a little renovation they could improve the traffic flow and speed up service - example - redesign from one door way to an in door on Ohio street and an out door on University. Extend the service counter around the entire interior with check out counter at the University exit door. Check it out
Joel Kaplan
Excellent ice-cream. Very creamy. Unique flavors. Good customer service.

There's absolutely no question when it comes to my favorite ice cream parlor in Denver....! Such a wonderful place to take the kiddos or go on a date to :) I go there often because it's a favorite for so many different occasions😍😍. If you're looking for some killer ice cream, a little bit o' charming history mixed in there and allll in the cutest part of town> then Denver's Bonnie Brae Ice Cream is a classic no-brainer for ya🙌👌(You can find it right after a day at Washington Park or Old South Pearl St! also, there's a public library across the street so if you want something educational/engaging for the kiddos before indulging in their treatsss, the Eugene Public Library has a great kids section ). Enjoy!💚

My family has been coming to this corner for over 50 years. Whenever we come back for a visit this is our go to spot for ice cream and memories. I just had a huge three scoop sundae for my birthday and it was all I expected and hoped for!!

Sadly, Bonnie Brae is not my jam. Nearly everytime I've gotten ice cream here it's been icy 😔 People are and proximity to Wash Park is the only reason I ever go. 😬 …
Hiking WithJeebz
Dude how can this place get less than 5 stars!!!? Freakin fast service and awesome yummy flavors! Best part , they sell them in pints and gallons too! So you can have Bonnie Brae Ice Cream at home!! Yay!
Samuel Sherrow
Wonderfully fatty ice cream. In Denver, it seems to me to have the highest fat count. Liks is still my favorite.
Morgan D.
Amazing ice cream! Most importantly great customer service! The workers are extremely kind and respectful.
Noah James
Came in because I wanted a sweet treat, boy was it! Nothing like getting your shake on and it hitting a home run. I had a cherry shake with chocolate chips and it was so thick and creamy....yumm.
ChrisTopher Johnson
Always changing flavors so it never gets old. There's always a line but it it always goes pretty fast. Don't be surprised if parking is difficult on a hot summer evening.
Liv E
If you are looking for tasty ice cream... oh my... this is the place! Also you can order, seat outside or have a nice walk to Wash Park! Just perfect for a day off with family!
Emma Frederickson
Nothing too special. They didn’t have the cone covered with sprinkles, which is why we went there. I ordered the unicorn poop side and they gave me not even 12 pieces.
Daniel Coldham
Delicious! Totally worth the long line.
Alicia Cahill
Good ice cream, only patio seating, waffle cones are a bit hard to bite into. A little more expensive than most places I've been to.
A Google User
I love going here with a dairy allergy I know I'll be able to have myself ice cream and it be safe. I had the passion fruit sorbet tonight and it was delicious.
A Google User
Wonderful traditional flavors for the best ice cream treats. All set to serve safely during Covid-19
A Google User
Definitely a go to place for delicious ice cream. Perks of living in the neighborhood for a good chunck of time. Just sucks how pricey it can get. They do hand make everything so you do get what you pay for.
A Google User
The long lines are worth it! The flavors are creative, the staff is friendly, the location is great, prices reasonable. Yummm!

I had the Mexican Chocolate ice cream and it was so good. They have many selections to try! Love the variety of flavors they have. Can’t wait to return!

Quality ice cream shop. I got the dipped cone and the ice cream was flavorful but not over the top. It appears to be made in house and tasted like it. Highly recommend.
A Google User
Delicious ice cream, amazing waffle cone, outdoor seating. I can't wait to go back!

This is my favorite of all of the ice cream shops I’ve been in the Denver area. They make the ice cream in house and it’s some of the highest quality I have had. Try the butter brickle!
A Google User
An incredible, edible experience! Special flavors of ice cream makes each visit unique. The service is great, the ice cream better.

Favorite ice cream place Denver has to offer. Best ice cream and great selections. Sometimes the wait time can be long but so worth the wait.
Stephanie Woodward
I love Bonnie Brae Ice Cream. Their waffle cones are the best. I go for all special occasions (is Tuesday a special occasion? Sounds like a good reason for ice cream). There is always a line at night.
Steven Bernstein (Stevieb)
Great ice cream, and I love that they have gluten free vegan soft serve. I am always worried about cross-contamination, but that isn't an issue with soft serve :)
Eowyn Burtner
Such a cute little ice cream shop! The ice cream is really good. Definitely worth stopping and taking an ice cream break if you're driving by this place!
Sam Cannata
This place is always excellent and it's a great place for a special ice cream treat. My personal favorites are the peppermint and cookie dough.
Lynn Dixon
Had a great time with family enjoying the best Ice cream ever...Really enjoyed the Cookies and Cream and Caramel Apple..Will continue to make it happen...
Andrew Greengard
Nice ice cream and neighborhood. If I had to complain it would be about the lines, but people here have good taste.
Fatimah Al Ani
Great staff, awesome ice cream, long line though
Lawrence Camera
Still one of the best places to get ice cream in Denver. Try the sticky finger flavor which is which is a peanut butter fudge based flavor.
Andrew Dulik
Best ice cream - can’t drive by without stopping!
Cameron Hughes
Awesome low-key ice-cream stop with great flavors. Very good bargain as well
Rob Martinez
Fun place. Have been coming here for years, as a child and now as a grandparent. Not too many places like that for me. The ice cream, any flavor, is great. Such a unique landmark.
Paulina M. Leon
Great place for ice cream. Old fashioned feel, outdoor seating... Kids sized ice cream is my favorite thing about this place, outside of the taste, of course!
Carol Porinio
Favorite place for ice cream and frozen yogurt. All made fresh daily. Favorites: peppermint (all year round) and cappuccino crunch. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Love this place.
Sam Bitar
It's good ice-cream very good service but the taste is average in my opinion. Had the triple death flavour which was ok.
Ryan Spengler
A great local ice cream shop. Friendly staff and delicious ice cream flavors. Love the classic sign out front too.
Nick Penland
Some of the best Ice cream Denver has to offer! Their ice cream tastes just as good (if not better) as when I was a kid

Such a staple for anyone who has lived in Denver. Nice selection of flavors. I recommend grabbing a cup or cone and then taking the short walk over to wash park.

Have loved Bonnie Brea Ice Cream for years. If they are not serving your favorite flavor, they will call you when they have it in stock and even save some for you.

Tim Mounce
Cute neighborhood ice cream shoppe. A bit pricey but worth it compared to other mainstream places (the owner provides a helpful explanation, I understand the reasons) but yummy and feels like Americana.
Kevin Moe (Roadrashmoe)
The ice cream is amazing and was not at all expensive like most places I have been too. Great people great service I will be back soon

I have been going to Bonnie brae ice cream since 1988. I am so disappointed that you changed your peppermint ice cream recipe. I drove from Phoenix yesterday and it was a must to go to your ice cream store last night. The new recipe uses candy that'll can't be eaten unless you want to break your teeth. Please go back to the original recipe!!

My favorite Ice Cream Parlor in Denver. Street parking. Have 2 guaranteed Vegan flavors. (Probably vanilla and chocolate)
